Large location and customer service was excellent!

Was waiting in line to check out when a guy cut the whole line. The cashier looks at the line and instead of calling who’s next in line, looks at the guy and allows him to cut the line. This is pretty annoying when you are waiting your turn and someone is just completely rude and doesn’t care to morals and ethics. His excuse was that he didn’t know there was a line and continued to the register. The cashier allowed him to cut the line and didn’t even direct him to where the line was. Working in customer service, you should be able to explain to a customer where the line is, if you cannot simply do that then I don’t think you should be working in customer service.

I just love Barnes & Noble! It is the most comforting shopping experience, with adorable holiday decor, books, and magazines. Love it!

One of our few remaining bookstores and one of my favorite places in Thousand Oaks. Huge selection (you can see by the size of the store), great availability of bestsellers. I also love the inside coffee shop. The wooden chairs are comfortable for perusing as you decide what to buy. One of the best stores in the Promenade Mall.

B&N here is very spacious, staff are nice, great for kids for learning to read and be interactive to each other

Big, beautiful store! Open until 9pm. Chose this location over Calabasas because they closed at 8pm. Friendly staff, good size magazine section.

Nice ambiance with Starbucks inside. You can read your books and magazines while you have a nice drink. Clean bathroom as well. I drive 20 miles to this B&N, since one near my home closed.

My kids love to come here to read, pretend play on the stage and test drive all the toys....quick suggestion.....expand the toy section.

My daighter and I love this space so much. Many books and toys, its our civilized playground. And Starbucks is a plus.

Not a bad bookstore at all. In terms of the structure, there is an indoors Starbucks incorporated into building. The entire back of the store is dedicated to childrens books, with other more advanced books sectioned in front and upstairs up the escalator. While there is a decent selection of books for the size of the building, I do think there is a lack of more traditional, classic books. However, it is a bookstore and not a library or antiques shop so its expectable to find plenty of new, recent books.

Accompanied a friend. She had not been in an actual bookstore for almost a year throughout the pandemic. She enjoyed the ability to browse through bookshelves again. She bought 3 books and several magazines.

There was a very nice woman in the back who gave me a weird pill and when i woke up i was stark naked in the arizona dessert, but i DID have every book i was looking for, definitely a 10/10 experience, would shop again

I like Barnes and Noble. They have helpful staff and a good selection of books and magazines. I really enjoy being able pull books off the shelf to look through and peruse the rest of the section for anything that catches my eye. There prices are list unless you join their membership.

I’ve never been one for books but this book store made me want to read! They had comfy chairs, a Starbucks café, great atmosphere, wide selection of books. It’s my new study/reading location!!

What can I say, I love book stores. The staff here are extremely helpful and always seem to be in a good mood.

A store where literate people can convene in person, peruse books, get coffee and be free of the digital world for a spell. If only more stores like this existed again.

This is a great Barnes & Noble location. It was quite busy when I went, although it was the day after black friday. Staff was very knowledgeable and willing to help me find what I was looking for. I got an excellent signed copy of a book I happened to discover here. Its wonderful to still have book stores like this open when all the libraries are closed.

Lots of stuff for sitting at home waiting out these strange times. They had no sitting or tables which is disappointing. Oh well, we do what we must. Cant wait for the return to freedom and to be completely free of the government stealing our lives for its own strange reasons.

Good place to look into books or drink a cup of coffe or tea

Very disappointed with the store when we walked in. Empty shelves everywhere and their vinyl music section has gone from really good, though expensive, to poor and expensive... not a good combination. I left one of my favorite stores feeling depressed.

B&N is a book store I enjoy visiting to check out books I might find interesting!

Would normally be 5 stars but kind of a mess right now. They are in the process of reorganizing so there are lots of empty shelves and books waiting to be put away. But a nice big store.

Pretty clean feeling experience with hand sanitizer at the door for when you enter and leave after touching the books. Open and spacious so keeping distance is pretty easy.

The selection of books on the tables as you walk in always have books I want to read. The staff is really friendly as well.

Love Barnes and Noble! Went with my wife and stepdaughter and we had a phenomenal time! The kids area had good areas to read and play and we were able to all find books we wanted to read and buy. With buying on the web being so easy, the fact that the experience here was so good makes it something special for the family.

I havent been in a book store in awhile, but this experience may change my ways. From the moment I was immediately assisted by customer service (who actually walked me directly to mmt, which was fantastic), until I was checked out by Dave. Dave was one swift, slick, sly, and fantastically spoken person. He had a charismatic spirit who ALMOST persuaded me to buy Godiva chocolates against my better will. He had me smiling from the moment we left to where i didnt want to leave his side. If you ever have the pleasure of if being checked out by this smooth talker, Im sure youll walk away with a smile.

Great book store! I went there to buy 1 book, bought 3. There were several very friendly and helpful staff on hand. They even had a little wrapping table set up with 2 people to wrap. Impressive

This rating is for the cafe. Today I waited in line for a good 15-20 minutes before it was my time to order. I ordered 2 white Mac n cheese large size along with a large milk and green iced tea. I received everything but one order of Mac n cheese. The cashier only range me up for one. So, I had to wait again for another 15-20 minutes in line to re order the second Mac n cheese. Just two days ago the cashier didnt take my order correctly either. Barnes and Noble needs to hire people in the cafe who are active listeners. They need to have more then two people working in the cafe. The wait in line is always to long.

Great atmosphere. Its easy to get lost in here for hours going through all of their forms of media. They have a vast collection of books, movies, music and collectibles.In a world where printed books seem to be on the verge of extinction its nice to still see some book stores around.The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Barnes and Noble at the Promenade is an excellent bookstore that is well managed, always stocked, and has superb customer service. It is also an excellent hangout location for anyone in need of a quiet environment to work. Never a bad experience, although I cant speak to the quality of the coffee shop, as I dont drink coffee.

Best book store.....but more than that, great gifts and games, toys, Starbucks..... Their help desk is fantastic when you have no idea where to find what you are looking for. Their Calabasas store has been wonderful in working with the Boys & Girls Club of the West Valley during the holiday season providing discounts for the kids in the Club that have earned $20 gift cards to buy books for themselves and/or their families.

They have a coffee shop attached so you can grab some coffee and take a look at books and even sit down and read for a little bit to make sure you would like the book before buying it. I didnt talk to the staff much but when I did they seemed friendly and outgoing. because its a brick-and-mortar store its obviously going to be a little bit more expensive but there is nothing better than going to a bookstore and just looking around and enjoying the ambience. So if thats up your alley I highly recommend stopping by and grabbing a book and a coffee.

I really love this Barnes and Noble!! First off, just the feel of a physical bookstore is wonderful, but more than that, this place is more of a community gathering place than just a retail store. Kids study and friends catch up in the cafe, every Saturday night there is a live band outside by the fountain, and upstairs youll see young and old alike dig into history or sociology or fiction or fantasy books, and its inspiring to watch people still reading.Only complaint is that they have no book look up machine, so you have to use your phone or bother a worker.4.7 out of 5

I often stop here for coffee and to read magazines. There is a Starbucks inside and a huge magazine area. Its a very busy place so getting help to find a book is a little challenging. Regardless I really love this barns and noble. Its also a great place to buy holiday cards. They have a large variety...some very unique!

I love being at b and n its my favorite book store and they always have a large variety of books. I always find what Im looking for. The only negative I can say about this location is keep the bathroom clean and there should be more outlets in the cafe for charging electronics.

And they are very friendly to the students of Westlake High School your frequent there only after school but on weekends and it really does encourage the kids to read and experience the types of books. Love David he is always such a happy person and having him help you is a joy

Looking for a CD and could not find it, except at B&N. It was waiting in the front checkout. My companion was looking for collectables and found out they were on sale. He went to get one in another area of store. They took care of customers in line, but when my companion came back they checked us out and were quite courteous and explained to the two persons waiting in line. They were also the informants on the sale on the items my companion was purchasing, so he got a good deal on his purchase.

I love this Barnes & Noble. I love the lay out and the fact that theres a cafe that offers plenty of seating. I love coming here to peruse the magazines and all of the books that are displayed in an orderly fashion.

I had a rare but very pleasant experience visiting this store. Since we became slaves of our devices, we forgot how interesting and fun it is to walk between aisles of books, or sit at the stores cafeteria and glance through magazines.The kids section is amazing and the employees are very nice and courteous. Saw many cute items for gift ideas

Very warm and cozy area with a second floor that leads to a (mostly) teen section. They have all the books you need for school there so B&N discounts make it worth it because its much faster than any Amazon 2-day Prime shipping could be. They also have a very good return policy!

Its Barnes and Noble! They have a giant selection of books, indoor Starbucks, and amazing service and spirit! I love coming here, and is located in an amazing neighborhood!

Beautiful bookstore at the heart of Westlake Village Mall. Very friendly stuff. A most welcome place where you can actually enjoy books physically. A quiet Starbucks added as a bonus. As the sun goes down you get a glimpse of the dying light through bookshelves. Enjoy while it lasts.

Large 2-level bookstore with comfortable seats if you want to sit down and browse through reading materials. The staff are helpful as well. Theres also a cafe inside where you can chill and check out the items you purchased.

Absolutely amazing. This bookstore has books, toys, and coffee, glorious coffee. Wonderful place and I would recommend it to anyone. Go there and you are stunned by the whole place. People are nice, books are great, and coffee☕
