Customer service from Kyle has been awesome! Had some trouble with one of our indoor plants...Kyle knows what he is talking about. He helped me diagnose the issue and taught me an extraordinary amount about plants/indoor plants. Then when I had to buy a replacement (It was too far gone), he went above and beyond to help me get the right one! Appreciate the customer service and knowledge, Thanks Kyle!

Armstrong does indeed have an amazing selection of indoor and outdoor plants. The downfall, is how pricey this nursery is. Their prices are absolutely outrageous. Its worth making a 30 min. drive to Venturas Green Thumb Nursery where you can get the same indoor, outdoor... all plants; just as beautiful for half the price.

A wife and I have been shopping this location for several years and are now buying our Christmas trees there as well. They’ve always been very helpful and knowledgeable on their products. For myself I really enjoy the spring so I can plan my vegetable garden each year…

Prices are higher. I wish there were more native species offered for purchase. And better instructions with the pots for the care needs of the plants, like water needs and sun vs shade.

It may be convenient for locals. But when my friends recommended me this place I decided to have 15 min ride. Overall very cozy place and friendly personnel. But the choices are very limited and prices 1.2-2x of those in Lowes or Homedepot or even Greenthumb. Bottom line we were not impressed

Armstrong Garden Center is amazing. They have a great selection of plants and garden accessories, and most importantly they have wonderful staff. Everyone is knowledgeable, helpful and nice.

Waiting in the rain for service. no help after 10min. one staff member walked by and gave a real quick answer and left. costumers walking away. very poor service. after i waited a good 20min in the rain, soaking wet they shorted my prepaid order.they lost part of their customer base today.

Clean & well managed garden area. Plants are supposed to be guaranteed but I havent had to utilize that policy as of March 2021.

Awful Costumer Service.I called and asked about soil and the man keeps saying he cant understand 😂😂 I kept repeating myself. Than asked to speak to someone else kept pretending like he did not understand. I said I got all day and will have patience. He than said oh you dont want to talk to me and put phone down to where I hear everyone in store. I sat on hold for 20 mins for no one to come to the phone and hang up.

Why going to a specialized store in the days of online/bulk shopping? For the knowledge and service. Well, none of it here. We went there 3 times, and 3 times we felt like at a department store. Either no advices, or ill advices. In each case, they made us feel like a burden, not a customer.

Wonderful experience!! I would have bought a lot more but didnt have enough room in the car! Very positive experience - super helpful and informative staff, enormous selection, well-priced, and growing old aint always bad. I got to enjoy the Senior Discount! Today, after 3 minute wait someone answered with no response -- confirmed by voices talking in the background -- then just as I was about to speak they hung up on me.I called back and have now been placed on hold for 5m26s. The phones ringing now...nobody answered. I was placed back on hold.Hung up.So, No more business to Armstrong for us.

This Armstrong center is not exceptionally large, but have some great folks on their staff. My favorite feature of theirs lies in their ability to rapidly get custom orders shipped in for you. Ive used that feature multiple times and am consistently impressed with the speed, quality, and cost of these straight-from-grower transactions. No mark-up at all, as far as I can see.

They have an excellent selection of all sorts of plants, trees and beyond.We got our Christmas tree here this year and couldnt be happier with the price or quality.Their return policy is also wonderful, they work with you to get you just what will work.

A pleasant little oasis. Great products and a courteous, knowledgeable staff. A bit pricey but worth it overall. I strongly recommend getting their email newsletters: theyre informative and can save you money.

Good selection. Excellent service and knowledge by sales staff. I go here when I want something a little different that the big box stores wont have. Price is a little higher than a big box or wholesale nursery but the selection, service, knowledge, and ready availability more than justify the price in my mind.

Fantastic stock, fresh, and indoor seasonal gift items, all reasonably priced. Best part is the staff who have background on the plants and if they dont know will ask a colleague or research online for you.

Love Armstrong. Its the only true nursery near here and I can always find what I need. Prices are a little high, but they are friendly and helpful.Update: I have been to a number of other nurseries in the county and Armstrong stands out. Their staff is by far the most knowledgable and helpful and they have the widest selection of all of their competitors. I would have saved myself a great deal of time had I simply gone to Armstrong first instead of trying others!

Service is very poor - actually non existent. Not a single employee offers help, makes eye contact or says hello - except for the cashier who has to communicate to process the sale. Prices are triple of what you can find in other garden centers.

No one answers the phones. Yet they are at the register with the phones right there. Been on hold for over 30 mins with no one picking up and have called multiple times and days.

Picked up a bunch of onion starters a month ago and theyre all doing fine. They didnt have the red onion starters I wanted but I did get yellow and white. Very big gardening center.

This is my favorite place to buy plants in Thousand Oaks. They have an excellent selection of vegetables. It is probably the biggest selection you will find in the city. All top quality.

If youre buying a tree - AVOID this place. Im sad to have to say that as we really like visiting this store. Weve spent a lot of money here over the years yet every time weve purchased a tree, it has been infested with bugs.The first tree purchased was a palm tree. Within a week, we discovered it had mealybugs. We went back and spoke to the owner and we were advised on how to treat it but to no avail. Not learning our lesson, we replaced the tree again from Armstrong, and again, it was infected with mealybugs. Having gotten wiser we checked other palm trees on their property and saw that they were also infected.After a year of buying only simple plants and decor, my wife found a Japanese Maple that she really liked. We bought it and took it home. Within only a few days, the leaves began to look sickly and droop. We discovered the tree was infected with aphids. Luckily we caught it early and treated the tree with Neem Oil. Later that week we were back and looking at their other Japanese Maples. They look beautiful from afar, but close inspection revealed they were seriously infected with aphids.We asked the owner if he would give us a discount for a sick Japanese Maple infected with the bugs. He shrugged us off and said 5%. He said that he was aware the trees were infected because they have other plants on the property that attract the aphids and, treating with neem oil hurts the butterflies that feed on those plants. It was an admission by the owner himself that he is aware of the fact that he is selling infected trees.Just know if you buy a tree from this place, you do so at the risk of potentially infecting your garden with their bugs. Be warned.
