I went to Rich and R&D for the first time just a couple months ago and Ill never go anywhere else if I can help it. Theyre knowledgeable, helpful, and reasonable and more mechanics need to come take notes from these guys. Service doesnt get any better than this. Id love to talk to the person who would even consider giving them a bad review because you must be insane.

Came all the way to Toledo from Detroit to buy a car near R & D and man, this guy knows what he’s doing. Checked the car, told us everything wrong with it, and gave us a recommendation whether to buy it or not. Really friendly and knows what he’s doing. Recommended!

Ive visited a lot of mechanics in my life. Some have been great, some have been terrible (e.g. Midas). Rich at R & D is one of the best Ive seen, both for the transparency and the price. I got my tires and water pump replaced here. Each separate job done cost me a fraction of the price the other mechanics quoted me.

Took my wifes car here often because he would do discounts for cash, but no receipts. Her car kept having starting issues and we kept bringing it back but we eventually gave up and sold it. The guy who bought it discovered the fuel pump Rich put on was a junk part for another car and if we had a receipt we couldve sued him. Took my jeep here too for the heater core, and it got clogged up because they didnt do the system flush I asked for.

The owner, Rich, is a very nice, honest and dependable man. He has always finished my car when he said he would, with no surprises added on. I have called him while broke down before and he took care of getting the car towed. He will tell you what needs to be fixed right away and what can wait. This is the only place I take my cars!

This is the only place I will take my car for repairs. Rich, the owner, I feel is honest when repairing your car. If you dont need something, he will not sell it to you. I highly recommend this shop.
