I like the store and we’ve been shopping there for years, but they need to train their order pickers better. Several times recently I’ve received picked produce that should have been thrown in the dumpster.Shame on me for continuing to use the app for fresh items and not checking the order after they put it in my car.The strawberries in the pics leaked all over everything else in the bag.

I went in to return an item that was delivered basically open and the associate was so helpful and friendly. She looked to see if there was another item on the shelf and then suggested I go to another store, but I wasnt able to. She then gave me a suggestion to reorder it online and provided the difference in price on a gift card. Such a great visit!

I love my toms river target! Any time you send me a survey, I always rave about how they make you feel so good in that store. The employees go over and above to help there customers and I love it there! Even if I move, I will go out of my way to shop there. Its the only target I will go to! Target always has the best deals and everything I need for my daughter. I absolutely love target! My home away from home!

I love Target. One stop shopping. Cute plus size clothing line. Reasonable prices. Does not smell like cigarettes and urine at the entrance. Multiple convenient locations. Target is my happy place!

I always pick this Target over others even if I am out of the area. It looks pretty upscale and I always feel better when visiting. Target is just one of those places, I guess. I like the home decor section, and the new Starbucks area. I like being able to see whats new and just kind of take my time here. Super helpful and friendly staff, and clean, bright store.

Convenient. Staff are quick, efficient, and choose wisely. Ive never had to wait more than 5 minutes which is a lot better than taking an hour to shop inside the store.

This is one of the worst stores to go to they make up their own return policies which violate targets own return policy. Along with not putting collectible stock out because the employees are keeping it for themselves or they are holding it for collectors do not shop here if I could give it a negative*I would

I called the Target store on Hooper Ave, Toms River NJ to get information so I could purchase a Verizon phone from them. The customer service person connected me, it was picked up in electronics by a Target employee who told me to hold on. After waiting 5 minutes I hung up and called back, customer service put me through again, phone was picked up and I was told to hold on. After another 5 minutes I hung up, called the store and asked to speak to the manager. A male employee answered, told me he was a closing manager and it was very obvious he really didnt care because his job is to get the store ready for opening the next day.I then called the 800 Customer Service number, spoke to a representative and asked to speak to a supervisor, I was put on hold and after 10 minutes I hung up the phone. All this time I am getting no where trying to purchase a $900.00 Verizon phone from Target. The next step was to call Target corporate office and of course you get a computer and twice I tried to speak to a person and twice I was automatically sent over to the Philippines Customer Service. I tried one more time with customer service in the Philippines and this time I was transferred to a supervisor in Atlanta. Keep in mind that all this time whoever I spoke to including this supervisor I said I wanted to purchase a Verizon Phone.I told the supervisor what had taken place and I was told all of the information was being sent to the Store Director. Before I forget the supervisor in Atlanta told me the store does not have any assistant managers only leads so it was obvious that a insecure lead who had to pass himself off as a manager did nothing for me. I was further told that the Store Director would call me. Within 10 minutes my cell phone rang and it was the Target Store. Keep in mind that the phone department is a private enterprise and has nothing to do with Target. I spoke to Bob who stated that he never received any messages that I was on hold and further stated that Target hasnt sold Verizon phones in over 14 months.In closing I was told the Store Director passed the call he was suppose to make to the same lead who passed himself off as a manager who passed me on to a Non Target employee to solve my issues with Target and that no one in the store, customer service, and the corporate supervisor new they havent sold Verizon products in over 14 months.This is great service and Targets way of how they treat a 71 year old handicapped senior citizen.

Trying to find reading books not to many and no best sellers, who is in charge of ordering books targets should find a replacement for this person and this isnt the first time for me Walmarts have a better selection of novels and reading and at a lower price this store sucks and I will not be back to targets again.

Dont know about the other locals around here but every time I go into this Target it looks like we are 5 years into the end of the world. Every other aisle in this place is missing product. I mean NO eggs NO milk, NO bread. Every time its different aisles but always large amounts of empty shelves, otherwise they are just completely dishevelled. If you dont believe me the next time you have nothing to do take a walk up and down the aisles. If you dont find at least a handful of aisles with empty shelves Ill eat my own shoe. Its been like this for the last few years and frankly I would suggest just skipping this location all together if youre shopping for any kind of groceries or toiletries. Otherwise youll find yourself annoyed like I have been that you have to visit two stores to get everything you need. Youre better off driving 5 more minutes and hitting up the ShopRite on Fischer Blvd..

To start, Alexandra was quite rude, nearly throwing my return back at me, refusing t take back a return with receipt, citing an outdated policy that NJ law -NO such law- prevents returns. (Last year, for a month or 2, returns were not done, but this was dropped several months ago.)I was told to call customer service.The bread shelves were completely bare except for approximately 10 loaves ! Cashier said no refill til Thursday..today is Monday!This Target needs a makeover throughout!

Why on one of the busiest days of the week do you have 3 registers open and 100 people waiting in line? Open the registers. There no space to stay 6 feet apart. The managers and corporate offices should be embarrassed. Target will become Kmart and James way and all the rest that end up closing due to their incompetence. This is why we end up shopping elsewhere.

Target offers a great app with an awesome user experience. There are many options for getting the stuff I bought which is great for COVID safety like Drive up pickup. I could see this being a great option even without COVID for people like myself who may want to grab some things without bringing two young kids in the store who want to run around.

For the first time in my life, I was just profiled by 2 target employees at the toms river target.My husband and I have been looking at vacuums and they are on sale this week. We stopped in the maternity section to get out some clothes for myself and then headed to the vacuums. It took us a minute to look up reviews and decide on which vacuum but before we could decide a female security guard and tall bald target employee came to the vacuum isle looking for something they did not ask us if we needed help they just pretended to be looking for a vacuum. My husband and I decided on one and then proceeded to get myself a green drink and chocolate... These two employees followed us through the store a even to the check out and watched us leave. We have never felt so uncomfortable in a target. We were profiled as a young couple just because we are in our winter coats, face masks, and wearing baseball caps (mine said mama bear)... Might be a while before I go back to that target. Target on hooper ave in toms river needs to reevaluate how they address their customers if their is a security concern.

As if Target was not the circle of irritating materialism, we could never predict that the New Target image would be redefined as the new Hip Hop shrill shrieking vulgarity in retail shopping. Excessive overproduced superficiality within offensive bad taste advertising. Welcome to the center of sub cultural decay that seems to worsen by the season.

Went there last night, the machine that takes the credit card at self checkout kept saying card not accepted for at least 3 of my wife and mines credit cards. Store employees all claimed its the card, not the machine. Now her bank card is locked because it got scanned by the machine multiple times, and target refuses to acknowledge anything was wrong with their machine. The employees seemed agitated that they were being interrupted from their personal conversation. I guess theyre trying to compete with Walmart for worst service ever. Spoke with Bank this morning and they verified it was the credit card machine, not the user and that plenty of funds were available, since I know target would claim lack of funds again. Ill just support businesses that hire competent employees going forward.

The Toms River Target by far is the best; especially during the Pandemic. The professionalism and customer care is second to none. From following covid protocol to making sure the orders are accurate; they have exceeded expectation.

My husband needed a pump for work at 8:15 in the morning! He is a master plumber! They wouldn’t let him in the store because they said he wasn’t an essential worker! Since when are plumbers not essential workers? If you had a plumbing emergency you can bet he would be considered essential! On top of that the store was empty!! Taking my business elsewhere, Target! Give your employees a class on ALL essential workers!!!!

Staff lied to me told me the Xbox’s were not there and that the trucks didn’t drop them off yet when I saw with my two eyes an employee holding an Xbox they tell me I have to order it online I watch my phone all day long refreshing every couple mins and out of no where they are sold out so the dirt bag lied when she said the trucks didn’t drop them off they are hoarding the Xbox’s bunch of scum bags

Order was ready quickly. Staff was very helpful and polite. My only concern was that the merchandise is handed to you by the team member, encroaching on the 6 ft. guidelines. I think they should put the merchandise down, step away so the customer can avoid direct contact with any employee.

Staff is holding exclusive products. Was told a different story on where these products were.. not shipped yet, not on display yet, or dont have a way to see where they are.. Poor management to allow employees to hoard products to sell for their own profit or hold for friends..

I placed 2 separate orders online for gift cards to be sent via mobile phone numbers to my family for Holiday gifts. One order was split between two phone numbers and one person recd her gift . The other number on the order didnt .The order number 2 never received anything.DO NOT ORDER ON LINE GIFT CARDS from TARGET. YOU WILL NEVER KNOW IF YOUR GIFT WAS SENT UNLESS YOU FOLLOW UP WITH YOR FAMILY..

As a Toms River resident, I am very disappointed with Target of Hopper Ave. Our college kids need jobs and the Target human resources team is completely unresponsive. Kids are applying online, and they receive an email to call the store to make and online appointment, but the store human resources members and unresponsive and even rude.Target should be more sensitive to the way they manage college applicants in this time of crisis.This is shameful.

Target has everything. Trendy, Classic and Quality Clothing. Stocked Infant Department, Electronics has what you need from phones to televisions, Books, items in Bulk. You can run in for grocery items, most of the time less expensive than the grocery store. Linens and Storage, as well has smaller household appliances- The list can go on. The wide isles and bright, clean atmosphere is another reason to shop Target-

I only come here because it is two minutes from my house. But it has gotten to be terrible. Literally every trip there they don’t have at least five things I am looking for. It is like they are constantly needing to restock the shelves… But they just don’t. Also they need to have more registers open.

My order was incorrect. They gave me Starbucks bean coffee instead of ground. I got three of them. Two were ground. One was bean. I can’t for the life of me understand how you could mess that up. Then it’s not returnable. Just an awful experience.

There is one guy there, usually at the return or pick up counter who is absolutely miserable! Seems inconvenienced to do his job that he chose. I usually buy online and pick up. If he is assisting behind the counter I leave and go back later. Not convenient no but better than dealing with his misery...UGH!

This is a nice Target. We went because they said they had something we needed, so we hopped there quickly, and the item was right were they said it would be. The store is bright and airy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There is also more than enough parking.

This store is nice and always clean. I have never been a fan of Target. I dont like the layout of the store. Seasonal items that they would want to sell quickly are all the way in the back of the store. If seasonal items were closer to the front I feel they would sell better. I dont want to go all the way to the back corner of the store to get seasonal items.
