Locally owned farm and home store. They have many items for maintaining your land, and agricultural animal management. Baby chicks in the springtime is exciting for little ones. We pick up mosquito treatments from them for more comfortable summers outdoors.

Always very courteous and helpful. Always find what we want. Some prices are a little high. Would have been 5 stars if they wore masks. No one there, customers or employees wear masks. Hopefully they disinfect, at least.

I was impressed and fully educated after one visit, genuine replacement parts make all the difference. If you want your equipment to work well dont mess around, just spend some $$ and get it going, Tarwater is top notch.

I bought a second mower from them, $12500.00 before any discounts, so I expected it to last more than 3 1/2 years. The warranty was 3 years when I checked. I talked to Levi and Jeff about this before I did anything else for advise. Jeff and I spoke of the ignition system so I replaced it before taking apart the engine. It did not improve it, 2 new coils. I pulled the valve covers off and noticed one valve was not operating correctly. I spoke to Jeff again. He said bring it in so we can fix it. I told him I would make the repairs myself. I dug in to the engine, found a flat lobe on the camshaft and set screw that came from somewhere in the bottom of the crank case. I ordered everything I needed online like a smart consumer to save money as most people do now. Got it running and had to go back and do some work where I hooked up the governor. Runs alright but concerned about the longevity of the engine with all of the metal shavings found. I spoke with Levi about the repairs and to see if he could talk to Gravely. He told me to contact Kawasaki. WE talked about the premature failure of the engine and he was not willing to do anything but stand his ground and continues to do so. After heated phone calls and emails he agreed that if I brought the camshaft to Jeff, they would send it in and get another so I could be reimbursed for it and 2 hours of labor. It was an 8 hour job. Took Jeff the camshaft and he told me he needed the motor. Why I asked because it was already fixed? He was irritated and took me to see Levi. Story changed due to a misunderstanding of who got what. Turns out if he sent the camshaft to Kawasaki they would reimburse for the cost and 2 hours toward the repair of a mower that was already repaired. After arguing and cursing I asked him what was in this for me not you!!! Said a couple of nice curse words and Left. Bottom line is that they only care about the bottom line, theirs. Too bad it came to this after buying things from them since 1982. I do not believe their motto applies to me. I tried working with them for months and there was little to no cooperation other than resistance.

They have taken really good care of my mower needs. Stop in and talk to Jeff in the shop for all your mower repairs.

They dont carry as much variety in the pet section as they used to. Hopefully that will get better as people get back to shopping! It is such a neat place with the most helpful and friendly staff.🙂

I am particularly impressed with the friendly staff, the selection of products, and the knowledge base that only comes with years of experience. I hadnt been there in awhile, but i just went a couple days ago and everyone was super nice, as well as super helpful. They have a huge selection of basically everything, the store was neat, and prices reasonable. I can buy hay/feed here that I cant get anywhere else in town. Im going to make it a point to shop here much more often. I wish they were open later in the evenings, but its worth it to get out there right after work to get what I need.

Small town Kansas farm supply store on the outside edge of the Capital City. It appears to have be family owned and operated for quite some time. Everything you need to feed, and keep, and mend, and even cook any kind of critter. You can outfit cows and cowboys alike here.

Not one person tried to help me find what I was looking for. I looked around and finally just walked out with nothing. I guess my money was not what they wanted.

Been a customer for 30 years. For 25 of them they were always the most fair priced in the area. Unfortunately everytime I price something there now weather it be chemicals for agriculture or a pair of gloves I find that they are not even in the ballpark of they local competitors. Not to mention they refuse to price match like all others do. Not sure if greed has kicked in or just the younger generations way of business or maybe trying to pay for all the new buildings and pickups. Very unfortunate to see a local family owned business go down this path.

The staff seems to really know the store well, the people working in the outbuildings are extremely helpful with helping to get vehicles loaded and whatnot. It feels like they are doing a good job with staffing levels as even when they are busy I dont seem to have to wait for a long before I get assistance.

I recently purchased grass seed from this store on September 30, 2019. The experience I had, was very sub-par. The guy that loaded my grass seed was very disrespectful and very rude. He acted as if it was a burden to load the customers that was parked and waiting to be loaded. He was cussing at the fact, they were busy, the short young kid was doing a well job getting everyone taken care of, while the heavy set fellow was throwing a fit!!!! To say the least, this isnt the first time Ive seen this at this establishment.
