They removed my lower unit on an old stern drive. It was extremely stuck when I was trying to remove it to replace my water impeller, and it had not come off in many years. They got it off fine. This place seems like an old school shop with someone there that actually knows carburator and newer efi boats. I am going to let them replace my throttle shifter which is old from 1990 and is starting to act up.

Wonderful experience, they go above and beyond for their customers, I have been going to them for years and feel as though I have always been treated like family from the very first time I walked in the door. Im a longtime customer of Pontes Marine. There has never been a problem with any of my boats thorough the years that they havent been able to diagnose and fix and at a reasonable rate. Their customer service is exemplary. Workmanship is top notch. Whether Im having the boat winterized & shink wrapped, commissioned or fix it jobs during the summer, the turn around time is quick and painless. 5 stars is enough.

We found ourselves driving along the interstate with a van and camper making some disturbing noises. We happened to pull off right next to Pontes and figured they would know a few things about trailers so in we went. It was the right decision! These guys dropped what they were doing to help us out, went over all the wheels of the camper and van and not only solved the problem but tidied up a few lesser issues as well. They prevented what would have been a highway emergency a few miles down the road and got us on the way for a fraction of the time and cost we expected. Great friendly people who were really understanding of our situation.

I had Pontes Marine lower my mast, haul, shrink wrap and store the boat last season (2015/16) I believe they try to accommodate every bodys needs to a fault. I have no complaints and understand that they are extremely busy when everybody wants their boats yesterday, fixed and in the water at the same time. I made Rick late when pulling my boat last year. Rick did miss the next haul and it was clear that it was my fault (and he let me know it). He apologized later saying he should not have tried to squeeze in two hauls so close together. Problem is, he does try to accommodate everybody which puts pressure on him and his staff.

Five Star service and humanity! I met Pontes Marine by accident (my pickup broke down in front of their shop - I did not know they serviced vehicles. They came over (winter time), got me going (boost) and did not charge me anything!!! That was two years ago, and ever since, I have had all my maintenance done by them. This is a family business that still believes in our traditional American values and principles. They have fixed one of my vehicles on a hand-shake when I was hospitalized (Veteran). I have nothing but good things to say about Ricardo, his wife Lydia, their son and employees. They will rip you off. They do work that is not needed without asking and then charge an arm and a leg. Know an employee that worked there that told us half of what was done to our boat was not needed. Called them in November and was told everything was fixed on our boat and then when we went to pick it up was told the water pump was broken. Completely denied speaking to my husband in November. Thats just one example of the horror stories. They are absolute crooks!!!!
