I like the fill of the store and the owner seemed very warm when I met him. But I must say I will no longer be going in that store. I went in for one specific thing and that was there fine oils. The owners son he seems like he has real issues. When I go into a store I want to spend money. Not to be questioned and reprimanded. And that happened twice when I went in there.I hope he learns better customer service skills for the future....

This is one of my favorite small businesses in the Capital Region. I have visited and been helped by the owner and his son, both of whom are some of the happiest and friendliest people that you could ever be fortunate enough to meet. They always greet you with a genuine smile, and are more than happy to help you find just what youre looking for out of their collection of items from Senegal, Tanzania, and more.Beyond the shop, Badara is also involved in drum circles, both locally and as part of trips to Africa. Ive stopped in every time that Ive visited Troy since I first happened upon their location on vibrant and quirky River St. I only wish that I could buy more from this store, because of the brilliant stock and because of the good people who own and operate it.
