The bridal section is permanently closed. It would be nice if Macy’s updated their voicemail or google listing.I went to the mall expecting to see a bridal sections and found out it closed many months ago.
I had the most wonderful experience at Macys Bridal Salon with Kaleen, Angie, and the whole team! They helped me pick out my dream dress for our wedding- it truly looked like a fairytale. They were accommodating and had everything ready when my bridal party and I arrived. Since I lived out of state, they went above and beyond making sure I felt comfortable and ready for my big day! Their recommendations on alterations and accessories were spot on as well. All staff was super sweet and truly a pleasure to work with. I would recommend any bride to stop by and take a look at their Demetrios collection, they are beautiful and truly breathtaking! I was beyond happy with the entire experience. Thanks again ladies, you are the best! xoxo Sarah
My experience here was the best, after going to 4 different salons and even putting a deposit on a dress. My dream dress was here. The entire staff was supportive and wonderful, even past picking the dress up. I lost 40lbs they basically had to recut my dress, it was perfect. My consultant Tracey, assured me everything would be fine and it was. I was beautiful. They even helped me with the trouble with my headpiece. I’ve been recommending that people try here. It’s like a little gem. I’m forever thankful to them, my dress was beautiful, and my experience as a curvy woman of color was great.
I cant begin to explain how much help Macys Bridal was to me. Janelle and her manager went above and beyond to make me feel special. Before going to Macys, I had already purchased a gown from Bella Rose Bridal Boutique and unfortunately was a victim in their scam, (they filed bankruptcy and stole their clients money and never ordered the dresses.) I had paid for my dress in full, stupid on my part, and lost my money. Janelle and her manager were very sympathetic and listened to me vent, cry and get it all out as I had to relive that nightmare over and over again while looking for another dress. With that being said, we found a Demetrios gown that I absolutely adore!!!! Janelle let me pay just a deposit, which was half the gown, and said I could pay for the remainder balance once we physically get the dress. It was like they cared about me as a person, not just my taking my money. We talked about more than gowns, just my wedding planning in general, and it helped make the whole situation so much more positive since we werent focusing on the negative. Janelle is also getting married in 2020, so conversation flowed and I genuinely enjoyed her company in my visit. It was so comforting to be around the ladies at Macys and their thoughtfulness and kindness meant the world to me!!THANK YOU, LADIES!! Cant wait to see you when my dress comes in :)
My experience here was amazing! I visited a few other places first and found a few dresses I liked but wasn’t in love with, and then at my appointment here I had a hard time deciding on one dress because there were so many I loved. Kaleen helped me look through what they had and pulled dresses that were exactly what I wanted. She made the day so fun and was extremely helpful!
All of the consultants were beyond helpful and nice. I loved spending time with Angie, and she knew exactly what to have me try on based on what I told her. We didnt plan on buying a dress but found one we absolutely loved. The prices were great for the quality. Would highly recommend this salon!
I was in to look at bridal dresses with my daughter to help me on August 28th. I had been to so many places and the sales people were pushy and not helpful. My wedding was in three weeks and I was a little discouraged. We came in and Tracey S. Was so personable, kind, patient, and sweet. Within five minutes she was like a friend we had always known. She was not pushy and she was extremely helpful. I had to buy something off of the rack because of the time factor so she tried very hard to help. I am not in my 20s I am in my 50s and yet she seemed to find exactly what I needed to fit all of my taste. I give her 10 thumbs up and 10 stars if I could. She was amazing. She’s definitely in the right line of work I don’t know what she makes but you need to give her a raise.!
I went to many bridal boutiques and Angie is the best consultant out there. She is sweet and fun and PATIENT. I am a perfectionist and needed to see every dress before trying on and she patiently and supportively helped me. She made my mother and I feel like we were just shopping with a girlfriend. She took extra measures to make sure I could visualize the dress on my wedding day even finding material to tuck under the dress so I could see it in white. It was a wonderful experience. If you’re going to Demetrius bridal at Macy’s, ask for Angie!!
I had the most wonderful experience here. My bridal consultant was Tracey and she was amazing. She was so helpful and kind and made the day so much fun! She listened to everything I wanted out of my dress and found the perfect one! I highly recommend this bridal salon to everyone.
What a 5 star experience at Macy’s Bridal Salon Sommerst Collection! Very experienced consultant. Brand new fresh salon . We could tell from the elegant manner and dress of the manager, we were in the right place. Our biggest struggle was deciding which of the beautiful dresses we loved the most.Thank you Macy’s Bridal Salon ! We will tell all our friends.
Went here with an open mind but didn’t think I was going to find what I wanted. I was unsure of exactly what style dress I was looking for. Angie pulled a few dresses and by the third dress I fell in love. Some things I wanted to change about the dress and Kaleen helped Angie call the designer to find out if these things could be done and sure enough they got back to me the next day and said yes! I am so satisfied with their costumer service. I’m so happy I went and I couldn’t be more thankful for their help! Love this place.. I would definitely refer my friends and family! Also did I mention how sweet and patient they both are!
I cant say enough good things about this salon! I ordered my beautiful veil through them, and Janelle was so so helpful and professional! (She had assisted my sister-in-law two years prior with picking her dress there). She helped me find exactly what I was looking for, placed the order so easily, and I even had the option of borrowing a sample veil before my fitting in Detroit to see how it looked with my dress! The prices are so reasonable, as I had looked at other salons in the area that were way too expensive. I would highly recommend this shop for your bridal needs, and hopefully you have a chance to work with Janelle!
I had the best experience with Macy’s bridal salon expecially with the alterations Elizabeth did. She went out of her way to make sure everything was exactly how I wanted it to be. On the last trial the bodice was still not quite right, without me even suggesting, she took bodice apart and re-worked it so that it would fit perfectly. Keep in mind this was the week of my wedding and she had to schedule me in one last time when she is already extremely booked up. Elizabeth is a hard worker and the best at what she does. Highly recommend her for any alterations you might need.
Looking for just the right gown and found my way in Somerset Macys...Loved the great customer service..Tracey was very helpful, and i found just what i was looking for....Thank you Tracey
Apparently Demetrios has moved from their Coolidge & Maple store location to here. No sign in the window or anything, I assumed they were closed completely. I called the phone number found online, someone answered and told me they were now at Macys Somerset. Stopped in to see a sample bridesmaid dress that my bride friend has chosen for us (she said they had it a few months ago), but they no longer did. The lady tried to tell me it must be discontinued, but I know it is not. I asked to be measured for the dress because I need to send in my order where the bride has the entire bridal party set up to order from. This happens everyday in bridesmaid world. They refused to measure me because the order was not being placed here. Many other places have no problem doing this for you, and Im sure those other places have measured bridesmaids to send to this location as well. Its just the way it works. Too bad that cant extend the same courtesy. Its so sad how many bridal salons have so many rules that ruin the experience that should be all fun and smiles.
I love this salon and the girls that work here. They are always so friendly and happy and always make me feel wonderful... I would recommend this salon to everyone... :-)
I wouldn’t recommend! Dresses must be paid in full there are no payment plans. Alterations begin at 550$. Highly disappointing because my dress cost 2265.00. I would think alterations would be included with that price or If you spend a certain amount it should be included. My bridesmaids and I spent over 4000 and no alterations included. Other bridal salons like Jenna in white, the wedding shoppe, Konjas bridal and unique lady all HAVE ALTERATIONS INCLUDED! Save money by staying away. I wish I would’ve went with Jenna in white honestly
DONT SHOP AT THIS BRIDAL SALON!!!! This was the most devastating experience!! So incredibly rude!! When I picked out my dress I was in love with it, by the time I wore it on my wedding day I hated it because of them!I have made it my mission to tell everyone I know not to shop here, ever! The day I walked in to look at dresses was the only good day I had with these people. It was 10 months before the date of my wedding. I had a really great consultant named Lynn, she was sweet and genuinely cared. I had my wedding shoes with me so that I could be measured properly when I found a dress I loved, which I did. I was measured by Lynn WEARING MY BRIDAL SHOES and was told it would take three months for the dress to come in. The one I picked out was lacy from top to bottom so it couldnt be hemmed because of the pattern of the lace so it had to be made to fit my height, thats why I needed to be wearing my shoes while be measured. So three months later I go in for a fitting, bringing the same shoes along with me to make sure the length was right. First of all they tell me Lynn no longer worked there so I no longer had a consultant. From that point on every time I went in I was handled by a different person each time. Secondly when I put on the dress, it only went down to my ankles!! The women there tried to blame me and gave me dirty looks, saying I must have not been measured in the same shoes, BUT THE DRESS WAS AT MY ANKLES. I WAS STILL BAREFOOT AND THE THING WAS TOO SHORT! My shoes were not the problem. So they remeasured me and said itll need another three months for the new one to come in. This put us at four months before the wedding date. I was understanding but I really was put off by their attitudes towards me. I had to argue with them that these were the same shoes I wore when I was measured and I didnt like being blamed for their mistake. So three months later I go in and get fitted and the dress was perfect lengthwise but falling off me at the bust (it was a strapless dress). Now, I had measured in between a size 9 and 10 so the size I ordered was a ten because they said I could have it taken in to fit me. I went in for three fittings with the seamstress in those last four months before the wedding and every time I went they hadnt done a thing to my dress. The seamstress kept saying, your weight will fluctuate you dont want it too tight and I had to repeatedly tell her, Im swimming in it, take it in so it doesnt fall off me on my wedding day! I got so angry and frustrated I called in to the store and complaining to the manager, who was very rude and condescending to me. Two days before my wedding I went to pick it up from them. I asked if I could try it on to make sure it fit and she wouldnt let me. She said it had been pressed and steamed (I doubt it) so I shouldnt wrinkle it. I didnt feel like arguing I just wanted to get the hell out of there so I took it and left. I wish I would have tried it on because it hadnt been touched! When I put on the dress on my wedding day it was huge! My brother had to run to the store to buy me heavy duty large safety pins so that we could fold the fabric over at the armpits and pin it together to keep it on me. I was so devastated. Oh and the veil was another disappointment! I ordered a two tiered veil, one tier was mid back level and the other was to the floor. It was beautiful but I asked before I ordered it if I could have the seamstress separate the two layers so I could keep the shorter one on during the reception and take off the longer one and they said absolutely. So I ordered it. When I picked up the veil with the dress it also hadnt been touched. When I asked why they said the seamstress said it would ruin the veil.... SO WHY THE HELL WAS I TOLD THEY COULD DO IT IF THEY COULDT??!!!!! Please dont shop here, please tell your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, enemies not to shop here!! They are an atrocious store and deserve no business whatsoever.
These dresses are the same since like 15 years ago. I can’t believe this is still open. Ugliest old fashioned dresses
I went looking for headpieces and veils. The lighting in the entire shop is horrendous and sad, I cant imagine ever trying on a dress in there. They had very few options for headpieces and veils, and they were all super expensive and looked dirty. They also said I wouldnt be able to get a veil until weeks before the wedding, even though my wedding was more than 6 months away. The employee helping us asked if I bought my bridesmaid dresses yet, and when I told her that I purchased them online at Etsy and they were coming in the mail that week, she said buying online is too risky and when they dont work out come back to her. Not a chance. The dresses I bought online were perfect and I didnt have to deal with a poorly lit/poorly run business to get them. Would not recommend this shop for anything.
Pam in the bridal shop in Troy Michigan was outstanding - really helped my daughter and wife
The Staff here was very accomdating with our time schedule. They were so knowledgeable and kept asking questions to see what it was that my daughter wanted in a dress, until they brought out her dream dress. The same with the vail they listend and searched for what we were looking for and the had so much to choose from that we got the exact match to my daughters taste. They also stayed within our budget on all the dresses they pulled out. I would recommend them to anyone.
Both my daughters got their wedding gowns from Kaleen and Angie and I couldnt of been happier with their costumer service and patients. I would hightly recommend going here if youre searching for your perfect dress for your special day. Loved them
This place is closed now, no warning, no notices, but they are closed.
Lot of choices and good sales at the end of year
After visiting Brides by Demetrios, we visited this salon the next week. Only to find the employee that was rude to us at Demetrios was now at this location. Not only did she NOT help at all... she laughed when she seemed to have remembered us. No one came out of their back room to assist. Ended up spending my 5k budget at Pieras. Amazing service there - amazing everything. granted this was last year.
Nice selection of quality gowns. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful.
Terrible service!!! I didnt think someone can be so rude to a future bride! They didnt seem to care about us at all!
Great selection for bride and family
Really nice place
Love it
Like the store
Never. Again.
