I purchased a new LG washer from Sears in Truckee this week. Brittany, the sales rep was helpful, informative, courteous and pleasant. She arranged delivery 3 days after purchase. I was notified of delivery time window and requested a call before they planned to deliver. I received the call and 15 mins later 2 very nice young men were at my door to deliver my new washer, hook it is, run a test wash and haul away the old machine. They were also very courteous and efficient. A pleasure to have in my home.Thank you, Sears! Well done! I’ll be back!

I’ve tried to buy appliances from this place multiple times due to the convenience of it being in town. Definitely not worth it. Would Reccomended going to RC Wiley/Home Depot in Reno or really any other place for that matter. The staff has no knowledge about anything in the store. The owner always has a bad attitude and treats you like your a inconvenience to him and not a paying customer. This place should have gone out of business with the rest of the Sears.

The Sears Hometown store was the first place we considered when we needed to replace our aging refrigerator. We needed a larger refrigerator that would fit in a shallow space; unfortunately the Sears store did not have a suitable model in stock. The owner was willing to try to find a model we had identified but was understandably doubtful he would be able to, due to the current pandemic situation. We were able to find the refrigerator we needed from a big box store.The Truckee Sears store partners with the TDPUD to recycle refrigerators. Despite our buying our new refrigerator elsewhere, Sears promptly picked up our old one, for which we are grateful. We will try to support this locally owned business the next time we need an appliance.

Wish I could use fewer stars. Product selection is very limited, as one would expect. I purchased 3 appliances, and this last one will, indeed, be the very last. The owner blew his top and yelled at the top of his voice for no reason at all. This last appliance was to be delivered. There was snow on the ground, but it was frozen like a rock, and there where two individuals there to help the delivery team. They ended up leaving the appliance at the street, and my son had to plead with the owner to even do that.

Weve bought several appliances from Charlie and staff and had excellent experiences with all our purchases. The staff were so friendly and helpful, installation was quick and done properly, and the prices were competitive. Highly recommend!

Our refrigerator went out a couple hours after we arrived at our cabin and loaded it up. Off to the store for coolers and ice.Monday morning we were at Sears in Truckee at 9am. Im sure it was a typical Monday for them, phone ringing off the hook, customers, delivery issues, etc.We explained our issue and we needed the fridge asap, we were told they we book out almost a week.After deciding on the model we talked with Charlie who seemed to be the center of everything happening in and out of the store and busy enough for 3 people.He was very understanding to our problem and indeed made it work for the fridge to deliver same day and earlier than thought!!The delivery guys were great, as well.Charlie youve gained a loyal customer through your care and kindness during an overwhelming Monday morning for both of us..I can only give 5 stars but I would give more if I could.Thank you!!!

Charlie, the owner of our local Truckee Sears hometown Store whet over and beyond working hours assisting me with a replacement warranty refrigerator. The original refrigerator was purchase through Sears, but not through this store. Charlie handled working with my warranty company, to onsite measuring of my built in, ordering the replacement, paperwork involved with the warranty plus, scheduling the delivery, installation and removal of existing. From start to finish he made it seamless for me. Thank you Charlie, youre the best!! So happy to have you here in Truckee. I give you 5+ stars in customer satisfaction!!

I recommend working with these folks for all of your appliance needs. They have all the resources of a national retailer with great selection, combined with the personal touch of a family owned business. The staff there was so helpful and professional, and when we encountered a problem with a defunct floor model dryer, the owner Charlie helped us debug the problem and rule out other issues, and when it proved to be a faulty item, he made a fantastic effort to get the unit replaced with a similar model. If you like to have a good relationship with the businesses you support, and especially if you are part time resident, Charlie and this retailer are the just the kind of people you want to have on your side!

I love my Hometown Sears Store!! Charlie and his team are always there for us locals whenever any situation arises. This store is a testament to how small town retail sets itself apart from giant corporations who only care about getting your money and then being done with you. Charlie goes above and beyond what a normal retail experience should be and I thank him for it. If your buying your appliances or even your snowblower at another store, youre in the wrong store!! Huge kudos to my hometown hero, Charlie Riley. We received excellent service and advice when he sold us our awesome kitchen appliances a number of years ago. Recently, our refrigerator quit working, shortly before I was scheduled for major back surgery. I was unable to obtain a repair date from the corporate folks until several weeks after my surgery, which would have been detrimental to my recovery. At my wits end, I asked Charlie for help. He went way above and beyond, including going to my house to let the repair person in, and had the refrigerator up and running before I got out of the hospital. He has our undying gratitude!

Everyone one was super nice and very understanding when I was purchasing my items.They were very helpful to help me choose the best items for my house.

Charlie, the owner, and Bobbi, the sales manager, were incredibly helpful. It is unusual these days to find people who are as friendly and helpful. Especially working for a giant corporation.
