Bike Truckee service and staff are great! We wanted e-bikes and had done internet research and read many forums. Since we ride together, we assumed we would get the same type of bikes. We met with Dennis to discuss e-bike rentals and possible purchase. We were upfront about looking at less expensive e-bikes. He encouraged us to try out as many as possible even ones that Bike Truckee doesnt carry. Long story short, we couldnt match the fit, service and help we received at Bike Truckee. We purchased 2 different brands of e-bikes that fit us each perfectly and are completely thrilled with our new Class 1 e-bikes and their performance. My wife’s bike broke down on our trip to Truckee. I checked with bike shops in the area. Dennis and Rachel at Bike Truckee were the most helpful. We went to the shop and they took time to help us pick out a new bike explaining the features and benefits. They also helped with accessories to help make the bike more enjoyable. All their advice was spot on as they enjoy the sport. They took such great care of us, I have already recommended others to them from out of town. I am also buying another bike from them. Great to see such great service and friendly people in business. I highly recommend them.The Truckee River Legacy Trail is right next to their shop. This is a must ride beautiful trail. Rent a bike from them if you don’t have one. You will love it. There are places to stop and picnic by the river or on one of the benches or tables on the trail. It is mostly flat and follows the Truckee River through the pine trees.

Visiting Truckee for the 1st time and my husband and I decided to try out biking around Truckee. We were blown away by the service and knowledge provided to us by Dennis. He rented us two e-bikes and told us exactly where to go. We had a fantastic time! Thank you!

Listen, Truckee Bikes is 5 STARS all the way. I called Dennis (the owner) and told him I was looking to purchase 2 new, adult mountain bikes. He thoroughly took down all my information for sizing, etc. Delivered the 2 bikes to my home, which fit and rode perfectly. He also went above and beyond, sizing us for helmets and thinking of anything else we might need, like water bottles, foot pump, repair kit. Service doesnt get better than this! I would highly recommend them.

The staff is super nice, the rental bikes are great and they are very conveniently located close to the legacy trail.

My wife had a damaged tire on her road bike and we searched google for a shop in Reno. We came here as their rating was a 5. They mostly have mountain bikes but luckily had some road bike tires. Rachel and Dennis were very helpful and friendly. Dennis even mounted the tire and only charged us for the cost of the tire. You can see why they have the high reviews...great customer service.

Bike Truckee was not fully open, but a quick call to their number and the owners were happy to quickly accommodate getting us out on some of their great condition bikes. Was in town for a couple of days and rented bikes. Awesome experience! Gave good recommendations on trails to ride and when the shop was a little slower gave us a ride with the bikes to the Sawtooth trailhead. Having rented bikes before, the bikes we got here were way above average on both the condition and the type / setup. Awesome play, highly recommend!

I came with my girlfriend who rented an e bike. The staff was super helpful and got her on a solid bike that had no issues in our 25 mile ride. They also recommended a great route for us that stayed almost entirely on protected paths. I learned a bunch of new places to ride that I didnt know about before. We will definitely be back to rent another e bike for more rides since it was such a great experience!

Denis was such a nice guy. We needed to start early and he met at the shop two hours before their opening hours to get us the bikes and then he dropped us at the trail head! We were trying multiple other sports during the day so getting this help was amazing! The bikes were also in great condition!

One of the best experiences weve had on our first trip to Lake Tahoe. Perfect weather. Beautiful scenery, bike paths away. from traffic, really helpful staff that provided a great map of paved trails in the area. Very reasonable prices that allowed us time to stop and take pictures along the way without making us feel rushed.I highly recommend Bike Truckee. We had such a great day. Thank you!!

Excellent service all around. We came here to rent some bikes to ride and the staff here are very tourist friendly taking the time to point you to the bike trails and making sure you got the right helmet and bike. At about $10 per hour for a standard bike rental, this is some good, cheap entertainment especially if you like nature and biking.The folks here are really nice and friendly; in fact they let us parked our cars in the lot while we went on our bike ride saving us parking meter money!

My 15 year old daughter & I rented bikes for the afternoon. The owner was amazing! Wonderful customer service! He was our tour guide for the day :) We followed the paved Legacy trail along the river, had pizza at Glenshire Pizza and cycled back. You could tell he loved his job and Truckee. We felt he went above and beyond to help us experience what this beautiful city had to offer. Thank you!

Recently I was bicycle touring through Truckee. My bike was in bad shape and I needed to find a bike shop. I went to Bike Truckee and Dennis was able to fix my bent gears and brakes and he also lubed my chain. After his this repair my bike had nothing wrong with it the rest of the way to my destination (Portland, OR).
