Walked in the shop excited to get some great looking chocolate. While the chocolate looked spectacular, the service did not match. My husband and I heard how the gentleman was speaking to the customers in front of us and it was beyond rude. The other woman working was also extremely berating towards us for no reason. Again, was extremely excited to try the chocolate but walked out due to terrible customer service. I have never given a one star review but this one was deserved unfortunately.

WONderful chocolates and sweets!!! The staff was very helpful and answered all our questions. When we got done we must have spent over $100 because everything looks so good! The turtles are absolutely Divine and so are the honeycomb chocolate. Also one of my favorites was the caramel squares chocolate-covered of course. We went up and down the shopping plaza all day and it was a nice way to end the day by going to the Sweet Shop and bring you home chocolate

I tried four different pieces - three of which were solid and one of which was amazing!Firsts off, they have quite a selection of fudge. And as soon as I walked in the door they offered me a sample of the chocolate. It was super sweet and melted in my mouth. I definitely considered getting some, but they sell pretty large pieces and I knew I couldnt finish one on my own.So I moved on to their Chocolate/Truffle case. They dont have the largest selection Ive ever seen, but they had interesting choices.Peanut Butter Cup - Made with milk chocolate and what tastes like your average Jeff Peanut Butter, which is perfectly good for me. My only complaint is that it was messy. The peanut butter wasnt actually contained by the chocolate. Instead, it was simply a lay of chocolate, a layer of peanut butter and another layer of chocolate. So as soon as I bit into it the peanut butter squeezed out everywhere.Black Forrest Truffle - Dark Chocolate Raspberry Ganache inside a dark chocolate shell. Just what I want! Dark chocolate with a little tang!Oreo Bark - I dont know what else to call it. Basically, it looked like theyre taken a tray of broken Oreos and completely covered them with caramel and milk chocolate. This was by far my absolute favorite! So much so that hubby and I instantly went back for another piece. Why doesnt every place make this? Its so simple!Anyway, this place is great! Check it out!!

Lady behind the counter is not pleasant at all. Gentleman behind the counter (sorry if I misgendered you) focusess more on being a mask cop than welcoming new customers in the shop.Being friendly and welcoming would go a long way.

Cute little place. The chocolates looked like they offered a wide variety of taste but all 4 chocolates I tried tasted the same. The lavender truffle did not have any hint of lavender. Overall, chocolate after taste reminded me of Starbucks mocha. It was not what I expected at all.I asked the girl that helped me for a price breakdown because I could believe how pricey my tiny order was and she just walked away. It’s possible the mask got in the way of her hearing me but overall this was not a five star experience.

Weekday shopping. Nice coffee, delicious fudge, amazing smell.

Stopped in here to get some coffee as we were all in dire need of some caffeine. My 10yr old son was chomping at the bit for some sugar as well. The service here was great, we had wonderful hot and iced lattes, and my son says the caramel apple was divine. They were even making fresh caramel for caramel apples in the front of the store.

Great little place to get fresh chocolates!

Walked in store and was told my 3 year old needed a mask. Wasnt able to shop and wont go back.

Delicious candy from Sweets Candy is locally owned and operated. What a treat! I love the chocolates, and my husband is especially fond of the fudge. There are so many delicious things to recommend the store. The courteous and helpful staff make the visit more of a pleasure.

There are two things I love to do when I bring my kiddos to downtown Truckee!!#1 Take them to BEST PIES PIZZERIA for some NEW YORK THIN CRUST (With extra cheese & pepperoni)!#2 Take them for desert at SWEETS HANDMADE CANDY!!This place has a fantastic assortment of truffles, chocolates and other tasty treats! Sea salt dark chocolate, dark chocolate dipped honey comb and marshmallows, candy apples, non pareils and fudge! (To name just a few).Don’t forget to top it all off with one of their delicious, Belgian Dark Chocolate Mochas!

Absolutely horrible. I think the lady working was on speed. She rushed us and was EXTREMELY passive aggressive. We were made to feel we were not welcome

The marble popcorn is absolutely delicious. I find myself buying a bag of dark chocolate or milk chocolate marble popcorn every time I stop in Truckee.

Toffee popcorn is amazing. The toffee doesnt skimp on nuts which is fantastic!
