I’ve been taking my 2012 Toyota 4Runner here for the past 7 years. I’m about to hit 200,000 miles on it and have not had one issue with my vehicle. *knock on wood* I’ve had my oil changed, brakes serviced, A/C serviced, suspension changed and everything in between. They send me pictures and recommend services without hassling me about getting it done now. These guys exceed dealership mechanics without the dealership prices. Just look in the garage. There’s a reason why Tucsonans trust their repairs on the their classic restored vehicles to this company.

My battery died across the street from their shop. They sent someone over to jump my car and were able to get it in for repairs the next day. I was so grateful that they went the extra mile for me. Great staff. Professional service.

Well, Ive been using Borst for about 4 years now for both my fleet vehicles for my pest control business and my personal vehicles. I had to tow a vehicle in that another shop had done damage to. They were very knowledgeable, and in constant communication with me about what they were finding...I was sent written reports, pictures, the works! And then they were able to get the work done in days where the other shop had it for weeks! Their per-hour rate might be a little higher, but you make that up in the fact that they get it done in half the time of the no-name mechanics! Will be bringing all of my vehicles here from now on!

From the get-go, they were friendly & informative. They did a thorough check & breakdown, along with recommendations on repairs/maintenance. Chuck, Mark & Mary were awesome! Excellent experience. I was having trouble getting my car to go ready for the emissions test and they went above and beyond by driving my car around until all the sensors read ready for testing. Also did an excellent safety inspection and got everything in top shape for an upcoming road trip. Car passed inspection with flying colors and I now feel I will be driving a safe car on my trip. I took my truck in with a power steering issue. Work was completed in a timely manner. Chuck the shop manager dealt with me directly from the time I set my appointment to the time I got back my keys. They also provide a vehicle for you to use while they work on your car. Im extremely happy with the service I received and with the work that was completed. A++++

Boost Auto seemed to be very thorough. It was a free oil change and they accommodated my request for synthetic oil. I was given a list of recommended repairs/maintenance issues. There was no attempt to sell me anything. Don was honest and professional.

When the dealerships said it would be upwards of three weeks before they could even look at my electric car, Borst got me in quickly and was able to diagnose and repair the issue quickly. They were clear about time and cost expectations and friendly to work with.

Just got their basic inspection, which covers a lot more than I normally see at other shops. The report Josh created was very thorough and detailed, the explanation for quoted prices was easy to understand and reasonable. Chuck was very professional and helpful with general advice and coordinating the appointment via both text and phone, and Marys shuttle service was sharp too. Ill definitely use this shop for work I cant do myself.

I was at my appointment time of 7:15 AM. The service was to take 1.5-2 hrs. The shuttle driver brought me home. I didnt hear anything all morning long, and finally called in the early afternoon to find out when my car would be ready. It was out for a check ride when I called. There was a delay getting my car fixed because another car took an exceptionally long time to repair, thus the delay. The shuttle driver had to take a late lunch, and would not be back from lunch till 1:45. They called and told me she was on her way. It would have been very helpful if I had been notified, by Borst, that the service on my car would be delayed, without my having to call and find out what was happening. They gave me a nice discount on the bill, which was appreciated, but a phone call earlier would have been very helpful for my planning my activities for the day.

Don checked my check engine light while I was visiting in Tucson to make sure I was safe to drive back to Phoenix. His kind and professional service was exemplary.

I had a few good clunks and an annoying traction control light on for the past couple months. Taking my Toyota on a trip soon so I brought it to Don to have a look at it. They had it diagnosed exactly within a day and back to me the next day. Borst also has a very nice communication feature where they send you a report directly to your phone detailing (with pictures) any problems that they found with your vehicle. It’s a very transparent communication platform that results in a great customer experience. I will continue to recommend Borst to any friends or family looking for repair work on the east side.

Nice people work here. The service was quick and easy. The price was painful but that’s the cost of owning a car. Would definitely return in the future as our cars require for maintenance and service.

I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the shop. The way they told me what they were doing with photos and video while they were working on my truck was unprecedented. I never felt like they were taking advantage of me or talked down to me was a nice change. They explained what I didnt understand was pretty cool as well.

My car broke down on the side of the road near the shop. I called and talked to Don and he sent a mechanic on foot with tools in hand. Red the mechanic made my car operable so I could drive it to the shop. The were very informative of the issues and their prices are reasonable as well. Their hospitality was awesome! Complimentary water, soda and snacks while you wait. They have huge windows that look down on the mechanics so you can see exactly whats being done to your car. Quite impressive! Great crew that works here. They don’t sugarcoat anything and tell you like it is. They ensure you know what’s going on with your vehicle and what’s needed to do to keep it running.They do have loaner cars so if you are worried about getting things done with a vehicle, ask for a loaner. If you don’t need a car, they also have a shuttle.Their hours are a little longer than most shops and open and close before most common work shifts start. This allows you to ensure you can drop off your vehicle and still get to work on time.

This place is awesome I’ve been going here for over A decade and a half. I went to the one on Swan in 22nd and am now going to this one and I have not seen the waiting room until today. The guys here are just as good and just as courteous and prompt and professional and is cool upstairs waiting room allowed me to look down on the work was being done. I really do like it and I think it’s a cool value add for anybody trying to find a good place to go over and over again. Years ago I took my Honda to four places before I went to Borst. Only Boris was able to figure out what was really wrong with my AC and fix it because they have A connection with real electrical professionals. They know what they’re doing and they treat you like your time is valuable. That and they have free soda so can’t really go wrong.

Good service and friendly. Maybe a touch pricey. They are big on preventive maintenance. But that helps to make sure there are no future breakdowns.

Borst services provides professionalism in their relationship with me. Their quality of work is excellent and dependable. They provide amenities, such as giving the customer a ride. And, each time your vehicle is serviced it is taken to the car wash. Since I have first used their services Ive not taken my vehicle anywhere else for oil changes or repairs.

Don at Borst was very friendly and helpful. He went over everything they found and I though they did recommend many additional services. I was not pressured much into purchasing anything. My only complaint and its one i see in alot of the reviews is their pricing. I went to Borst for only an oil change and paid $105 when I was under the impression Id be paying $50. If I had known this I would have gone someplace else. This is not a good first impression and I wont be going back. I didnt intend to write a review but the text me asking for one. So there you go. If you have the money I am sure Borst is worth it. But if your living paycheck to paycheck like most people in my neighborhood, maybe shop around.

I had work performed by Borst earlier last year and am very satisfied with the quality parts and workmanship. Then in December I received an email to say Thank You and provided a free full service, including oil change, tire rotation, visual and digital inspections and a free car wash. You bet I was gonna take that deal!! During the inspections we saw that my air filter was filthy from dust storms and was able to change it immediately, along with other matters which were unknown to me, but I saw proof with pictures. Ill be using Borst again because of the great customer service and quality of workmanship provided.

I posted a negative customer experience concerning two charges for system diagnostics. The owner, since that posting, contacted me explaining that my satisfaction and continued patronage were very important to them. The conversation concluded in a very positive experience and change to my previous rating three star rating. I appreciated the owners efforts for correcting any misunderstandings during our first meeting. The owners actions speak highly of this businesss efforts for creating and maintaining positive customer service experiences for their patrons.

This place has an awesome mechanic, but I got ripped off on a carburetor they replaced for me. Widely available on many internet sites for $402, I was charged $877 plus $330 labor to install it. Great place if you can afford them. Then again, it might only be me they took advantage of. YMMV

My check engine light came on late Saturday. I took it to autozone to see what code it was throwing, and it had to do with air inflow to the mass airflow sensor. Under the hood I had a nice crack in the hose that connects to the air filter. Called them on a whim because they were very close to the house. They were very thorough with their inspection. They sent me photos of everything they found out of order and from there I was able to let them know what services I wanted done. I would have given 5 stars, but they are a bit pricy. Still for getting my car in on a Monday at 9 AM, I was happy they had me all squared away the same day and that dreaded light has been off since. The car wash was a nice touch 👌 Even if there are probably cheaper places, I definitely recommend if you want a thorough inspection. They definitely have my business in the future!

Don was very personable and to the point! I dropped my car off in the morning and had it back by the afternoon. They also let me use a rental car free of charge. Highly recommend!

Borst was recommended to me by several outlets. Im more than happy to say they were right! I came in for brake issues that were previously overlooked by other shops. The issue was found and repaired. They were honest and detailed about which aspects of my my rear brakes were faulty and fixed only that. They didnt try and swindle an entire brake replacement as Ive gotten from other shops.They inspected, in detail, beyond the brakes down to my license plate bulb (which was replaced for free). Im grateful they did because after my husband replaced the radiator and hoses after a blowout just days before, they found another active leak that we didnt see, and probably wouldnt have until it caused further corrosion. The issue was fixed upon my request. They even saved me a little over $100 from their original quoted price by, again, detailed inspection and only repairing what was necessary.After another issue was found, chuck was careful to describe how the components worked. He remained honest in the fact that though the issue could turn sour, I could take further steps to prevent it and save me time before I could afford to fix it.To validate their honesty, a detailed report with pictures were provided of every notable issue or lack there of. I was given time to inspect the issues myself, make quote calls, and gather second opinions on what was necessary to be repaired. I was able to call back, make my requests on what I wanted repaired, and question in detail the other issues that were found. Upon picking my up my vehicle, chuck provided me with another detailed report on price estimates of deffered work.The only issue I came across could have been a fault of my own. I was under the impression, based on chucks phone call, that the front brake resurfacing was included in the quoted brake repair. He never gave me a specific price quote on the resurfacing of the front brakes, just a quote on repair of the rear brakes and fluids and that resurfacing of the front and rear brakes would be done. After I calculated the total quoted repairs + labor and taxes, I questioned to myself what taxes/labor were still over $100? I did agree to the final price but I should have asked what the excess fees were. It wasnt apparent until after I left the shop and inspected the repair invoice. Lets just say labor is expensive...even for resurfacing :/. To be fair, the total cost of resurfacing the front brakes seemed average if not lower than other quoted shops.All in all, I am satisfied with the quality of work and attention to detail. Chuck and Josh, Thank you for your kindness, professionalism, detailed inspection, knowledge, education, and honesty...and the free sunshades, license plate bulb, and carfax report!

This is the second time Ive gone to Borst Automotive. Again, they were professional, friendly, able to squeeze in my car to be checked out and worked on. They are above board - providing a diagnostic report, explaining what is needed, why its needed, what is urgent, and the estimated time for work to be completed. They also offer a shuttle- which I was able to get a ride home and be picked up when my car was ready. They are conscientious with their quotes - and in this case held to the quoted price even though a surprise in parts occurred which I am so grateful for. This is the shop I call when I need work done and highly recommend them.

The professionalism is unmatched. They loan you a car while yours is being worked on, the pricing is fair, the work is to perfection, and they offer 100 days same as cash if you qualify, there is no one that I can find that offers so much at one shop.

Borst has always been honest, trustworthy, hardworking and reliable for anything I’ve needed done by them. I love supporting a local business and it helps that they are just down the road and they also have a shuttle for getting me to and from work or home.

They fixed my daughters car runs like new. They were late getting a part so they gave her a carto drive while they fixed hers.

I had borst auto replaced my fuel pumps previously. Paid over $800 for that. Thought it was a high price but I needed the car and borst had good reviews. Returned to borst last week to replace the fuel tank and was quoted over $1300! I realize this job is labor intensive but when I called larry h miller for a comparison quote, I was quoted 2.5 hours less labor. Borst had also quoted with a used tank they had said they could get for $300. I found one for $89.99. That is less than $100. So Im having the dealer, who traditionally is waaaaay more expensive, do this job for about HALF of what borst wanted. And i was extremely surprised that chuck, at the location on golf links and pantano, didnt seem to care that this job walked out of his shop. I had the car towed there before i had called the dealer. So the car is now at the dealer and borst will never see another dollar from me. I realize Im just one person out of a city full of people but I warn others, do your homework and compare quotes. Im not one to ever bash businesses but this was too much to not say anything.

I have been looking for a service shop that is not a dealer. This is my first visit to them. I like the way they communicate and keep you informed. The service price was reasonable for what was performed. I would take my vehicle there again when it’s time for service. Being that all my vehicles are plug in hybrids it’s only required once a year for service so the inspection and tire rotation are probably the most important. Give them a try and sign up for their service coupons when you do it’s work the savings.

Super impressed! Got me in quick and did a great job. They give you a full report (printable and easy to understand) on things they need to fix now to get you back on the road and tell you things that well need to be monitored to avoid future brake downs or damages. There not pushy on trying to make you fix everything like most places just to make a sale. There super knowledgeable and will explain anything to you with no BS. Overpriced service, misalignment not corrected properly. highly recommend TCR II Suspension Brake & Alignment on Speedway instead. TCR II is much cheaper and actually corrected alignment.

This was the first time I took my vehicle to Borst, it was the best experience I have ever had. They sat down and went over the information with you. They did not try to push you to do something that didn’t need to be done at that very moment. They made sure you understood what they were doing.
