Love this place it is a hidden Tucson auto place to go. I have never been to a more honest auto place ever. AAA Auto repair wanted to charge me $900 for new struts on the front of my car. And I took it to highway drive auto repair for a second opinion and they found that I did not need new struts.😊👍

Motor mount replacement on Smart car quoted $850 by dealer; $497 here. No advertising-strictly word of mouth. Quality work my for five years and several vehicle experience. Reservations are needed 3-5 days in advance. If they supplied transportation it would be the perfect shop but I expect the fact that they dont provide frills contributes to the value.

Weve been taking our vehicles to Highway Drive Repair Service for several year now. Over the course of those years they have done a stellar job of fixing what needed fixing, replacing, and all done with very, very reasonable repair rates. The staff are great, the service is fantastic and the wait times are minimal for many repairs, but if it will be longer, they call you to tell you the wait time and the probable cost before they do the work, so no surprises when you pick up the car, unlike the other places! Despite the steady flow of car repair customers, the wait times are less than most other places Ive taken my cars to. I tip my hat to this car repair business for doing such a great job with all my cars and its always a pleasure to talk to the staff there. I will never, ever take any of my cars to another repair shop. To the staff: thank you and God bless you!

An old fashioned wrench parlor. Theyve been here forever, fixing whatever rolls through the doors. You wont get much conversation, but youll get fixed pretty cheap. Im pretty sure no one here has ever heard of a flat rate manual, but they will give you an estimate then stick to it.

I was concerned going in as there wasnt much room for my RV to park. It was also not clean, really messy looking. However, the mechanic did inspect my brakes but outside. There was no room inside.

Honest, fair price, and their always busy. Family owned, as a matter of fact the owner is usually the one who works on your vehicle or at minimum has a hand in it. I think this guy was born with a wrench in his hand. His father owned the shop before he took it over. Just a good hard working honest guy, and be nice to the lady behind the desk its his wife. If I had her job Id pull my hair out, if I had any!

We had to have my truck go through emissions. My trucks tags were due the following day. John, the owner fixed what was needed even though they were full of appointments. Very polite, courteous and very honest! I would definitely recommend this shop. They know what they are doing. I will be going back for sure!!

I have been going to Highway drive for over 15 years. Not only are they honest, quick, and fair on their pricing, every single person (6 people now) that I have recommended them to, has been very happy with them as well. I am competent when it comes to working on cars and have been using them since I just dont have the time to do my own work anymore. They have never been dishonest or tried to overcharge me. Very, very happy I found them.

Charged me a hair under 1K to replace a fuse box in my 2008 6.4L F350. In addition they had my vehicle over 2 weeks. Its running good now though and the staff was friendly.

I use to love this place they do awesome work John knows his stuff but why I didnt give them 5 stars is I when to see how much it would cost to fix my truck John stay give all my information to the lady at the front desk and there would get back to me with the cost a week later no call so I called them she said that she has not done it yet now its been 6 weeks and still no call back with a price and this suck because they do good work there

Really good ppl i drive 18 Wheelers my ac went out few hundred miles back on a Friday Saturday morning i replaced my compressor myself but needed it vac n charged. Called these guys was able to get the truck vac n charged within 40 min of arrival. Even tho they don’t really do big trucks was awesome they helped me out and price was very fair. Most ppl see an 18 Wheeler and see dollar signs. But they was very fair. I’m very thankful especially since it was Saturday morning!!!!!!

This shop was recommended to align my Corvair. I had been to another shop that was good, but on recommendations I went to this one. VERY BIG disappointment! I paid for an alignment and received ? After I paid I drove it around the area and came back to address the problems. The polite receptionist told me the tech that did the work was not there and after she went back to get someone else-she came back with the recommendations to let the bushings break-in, bring it back if not driving well(as I was doing then-it should leave driving well) also no warranty provided. Perhaps wrong tech did the job? Likely they aligned to wrong vehicle specs? Days later when I went to the original shop I had gone to they had to realign-specs not even close to what the manual calls for and shim because one of the springs was hitting the upper a-arm . None the less, the lack of empathy or owning up to the fact that they may have made a mistake bothers me. Why would you take your car back to someone who didnt do it right in the first place or thought it was not important enough to have someone follow up on it after you identified problems????? Good Luck if you get an alignment here.

I have been going to Highway Drive for 20 years now. Work is good and prices are fair. I had a starter put in in Jan. During a trip to CA it started to make noise when I started the engine and I was NOT overturning the key! John replaced the starter on warranty and charged me no labor. That is 100% standing behind your work and customer service. I totally recommend Highway Drive and its people.

So rude, very highly recommended but didnt even try to schedule me. The receptionist could not be anymore rude and hung up on me after i asked if she could get me in, in the afternoon. Definitely will not be going there.

Fair pricing and honest work. This is the only place I take my vehicles for repairs. It can get pretty busy and there may be a wait, but it is worth it for the work done.

They were able to fit me in on one days notice and replaced my air conditioner compressor and a rod in the passenger door in less than 5 hours. Efficient, fair prices.

I brought my vehicle here, which a close friend who use to work there recommended me.The job was to replace the Rotors as well as the inner and outer tie rods and have a front end alignment.A few weeks later. I went to Sears for another front end alignment. Sears informed me that the tie rods were bent and put in wrong which broke my Rack & Pinon. Now I have to pay to fix everything and Im definitely not having it done there.Waste of Time and Money. Do not go here, unless you like to pay to fix something that they obviously broke..

Hello all. I feal like I should let people know about my updated info about highway auto motive. So I posted a year or so ago about my mother in laws car. It was overheating and I took it to them. They charged us a couple hundred and said it was fixed. My mother in law has cancer and we were trying to get her some wheels so she could have some freedom in her remaining time. As soon as she drove the car away it overheated and blew hot water all over the road. It ran worse than when we took it in. I called them and spoke with the owner who basically varifed to me there process of elimination trouble shooting techniques. And then got annoyed with me and kept telling me the head gasket was blown. They wanted 1500.00 plus to fix the car. My mom was so hurt by this she parked the car thinking it was alot to fix. Trusting there so called diagnoses. Well just recently I had a mechanic buddy of mine come and check it out. He found that they intentionally installed the thermostat backwards so the car would continue to overheat. Then they get me to pay the 1500.00 to fix it. Then they simply install the thermostat correctly and pocket my money. I got her car fixed for 150.00 dollars. An new battery and a 20.00 dollar thermostat installed correctly was all it needed. My mom In law went without her car for over a year because we trusted these low life, white trash scammers who are heartless and will take advantage of anyone. PLEASE. do your homework and heed my warnings. Dont go here. Thanks and God bless..

I went to tire shop on 1st to buy and install tires, Said I needed to add other stuff, came out to around 400. decided to go to highway dr. was much less, just good and didnt need add ons.

Took my vehicle here, becuz it was over heating... Asked for my vehicle to be checked, and to flush radiator, and replace thermostat... Well, I was charged for this, plus was told my radiator needed to be replaced... So, had it done... $$$$A couple weeks later, a hose broke, had vehicle towed back again... And was told a hose needed to be replaced $$$ had it done...The same day, as I was driving 🚗 home from shop, 🚗 would not shift, was reved up so high... It was scary... I took it back on Saturday, was there 4 hrs, and paid $$$. Again!!!Well, i screwed that hold down engine cover, only had 1 out of, 6... Where they check ac and filled with Freon the caps are missing...Very sloppy work...I wouldnt recommend this place...Go to Douglas Auto off Cortaro and I-10.

Also found EGR Valve line was disconnected and o2 sensor disconnected. Triggering the Check Engine light
