I went to Drive Time this morning right when they opened at 10:00, and Matthew got me right in to test drive the car that I saw on the internet. The car was clean, it drove beautifully and it had low mileage. I knew it was the car for me immediately. Matthew had the patience to figure out financing with me, which was no easy task because I am self employed. He made multiple phone calls, sent emails and patiently worked to get me a low interest rate and the best possible trade in value for my old car. I spent 5 hours in the office while he presented me with multiple options and he never once seemed annoyed. He was patient and kind, even when I tried to make a large down payment and my bank flagged it as a suspicious transaction. I had to call twice to the fraud department at my bank to clear the transaction and he remained professional and welcoming. Things I love about Drive Time:*The employees are salaried and not commissioned, so there’s no pressure for them to sell*The price is the price, no negotiation, and it’s a fair price that is on the lower end of the Kelly Blue Book value*They offer two different warranty packages and have multiple 3rd party locations for maintenance and repair*I came in on a busy day, and there were multiple other clients that were professionally treated no matter what their financial situation was. They really want to work with people to get them into a car*The employees are upbeat and really seem to enjoy their jobs*The vehicles are well inspected and they provide you with a history report on the vehicleAll in all, I would highly recommend Drive Time to anyone in Tucson looking to buy a used car. One of the worst car buying experiences I’ve had and I’m 40 and use to sell cars myself. I truly have no idea how they keep the doors open. I was very honest and upfront. I’m driving from Phoenix. I’m paying in full, using my credit card and I want to be in and out as I have a 90 minute drive home, all four kids with me and baseball practice in several hours. No rapport was ever built, no questions were ever asked and all my questions were answered with dodgy used car salesmen replies. I should have known when they said they needed my social to sell a car cash. I’ve bought a lot of cars and have never needed to provide a social when paying cash. I said I’d give them my wife’s social and I was told it had to be mine. Talked the GM and he told the sales person Herb it was fine. An hour after making the decision to buy they still couldn’t tell me how much longer the process would be. I explained my kids and time crunch and the GM could care less. I asked him again how long this should take and he wasn’t sure. I asked him since he did this for a living if he had any idea how long this process would take. He said 30 minutes, I let him know I had already waited an hour and he then started pressing keys on his key board saying his computers were down. Very convenient with lunch being delivered. Since no one working there including the GM knew what they were doing, how long it would take or even how to communicate to a customer. I happily took my business to Auto Nation Honda around the corner. Talked to both the GM and the sales person Assad. I explained my situation to the GM, I told him the vehicle I wanted. I gave them money and left. It’s exactly what I wanted, a simple transaction.This location is ran by younger folks that don’t understand how to properly communicate or process a transaction. Buyer beware.

The car buying process, overall, was quick and easy. My first visit, just to qualify (which I didnt, sadly) was hopeful and I still got to test drive a car. I did have to do a second visit to get the final okay on my income and I ended up choosing a different car and was on the road with it after about an hour and a half.My salesman, Matthew E., at the Tuscon, AZ location was patient with my qualification process and was upbeat with everything involved and worked with me for almost three weeks to get me in a vehicle. I thank him personally for everything he did.Now, their rates can be high if ones credit isnt stellar and I suppose thats the price to be paid in trying to buy a car. Despite that, they do really work with people to help them drive off the lot with a vehicle they like.All in all, I do recommend DriveTime in Tuscon and Matthew E., especially. Thank you!

First time coming here, was fast and easy, appreciate the help we got, and got the best vehicle for me.

10 days with what I assumed was a decent car 2018 Chevy Cruze and already having engine light on, trunk is jammed . And all Drive time can do is inform me I was misinformed with the return policy time frame. I was advised I could return with no question within 30 days . I called today and was told I’m basically screwed because the max out day was 5 DAYS !! Nooooooo don’t set yourself up for a lemon.

Visited after spending two days dealing with insurance company on replacement of a totaled vehicle that was paid off. I was not going to be able to find a comparable replacement with the settlement and had to return the rental they were providing. My credit was not great and was worried about financing. Not only were they able to get me a great deal with a reasonable down payment, I drove away with an awesome ride! The staff was friendly and never pressured me into buying something I didnt want. I literally looked around the entire lot before having to walk in and talk to a representative that treated me as I walked in.

Horrible experience with down-payment. Wanted a vehicle in phx but due to cvoid had to drive myself to get vehicle. Told them I couldnt make it up there till next week a day after the 7day hold. Was told that was fine. Made An initial payment of a hundred dollars and was told to pay phx location the rest of the money in person. Everyone was on the same page of my situation. Get to phx location and last minute was told my car price I agreed to in tucson was no longer valid and the vehicle went up in cost and due to that so has my cost on the down-payment. It felt like the old bait and switch situation. Wasnt even made aware that after 7days prices can change. Funny how it went up in price not down. Horrible communication and it was either pay more or go back home empty handed. I feel like once they took my hundred dollars(what they asked for) it should of locked up the price of the car and down-payment. Will stick to carmax and carvana after this experience.
