Have been enjoying their coffee for years. So happy to see them still doing well. One of the best coffee shops in Tucson.
Since this store is right across the street from the hotel I was staying at, coupled with a friends recommendation and love of dedicated coffee shops (not just your Dunkin or Starbucks), I gave Savaya a try. The coffee they roast is incredibly fresh with a very good taste. Mario is the employee Ive seen the most and hes very personable, as well as knowledgeable on coffee. Everytime I go in Im never disappointed. The other members of their staff are also helpful and personable. It should also be mentioned that you might wait a bit for your coffee if its not a cold brew thats already been prepared or a drip coffee that is ready. But for whatever you order, even if you have to wait a little bit, it is worth it.
I use to love this shop. Recently, like in the past few months, things have changed. Prices have gone up and staff has left. They had several amazing young ladies that worked here. They were very personable. The staff lately has not be very welcoming and the coffee over all has tasted a bit weird. I’m not sure if staff has left because of covid, or because of something else but this place is not the same.
Fantastic small specialty coffee shop! The barista was knowledgeable and friendly. I was really impressed by the variety of single origin beans and flavor profiles.
Excellent coffee! I think the best coffee that I’ve had in Tucson. This particular cup is the Brazilian blend brewed from a French press.I didn’t get a photo taken inside but you have a wide selection of brewing methods that you’d expect from a gourmet coffee brewer. The service was excellent. The server was helpful in explaining the different blends and the different method for brewing the coffees.Although I’m a newbie, the server made me feel like an expert.
High quality coffee with lots of variety of freshly roasted beans. What else can you ask for in a coffee shop?
So happy this great coffee hang out was able to survive the pandemic!
Very nice little shop. Decent selection of coffees and knowledgeable people.
Some of the best tea Ive had. The foxtrot is particularly fantastic.
I stopped by yesterday and the barista was just what we needed during a long road trip. Super friendly from the get-go and offered us samples since we were unsure of what to get (even if we did know what we wanted, we were too tired to decide for ourselves). The baristas recommendations were delicious! My traveling buddy got a Toddy Cold Brew with sugar. It was refreshing and delicious even without additives, but a little sweetener brought out a fuller flavor in the coffee.I got the kafette with sugar. The idea of coffee grounds being in my cup was so novel to me that I had to try it. ORDER IT. YOU WONT REGRET IT. The coffee is strong, but not acidic. Super aromatic - the coffees fragrances fill your entire mouth with every sip. Protip: after letting the grounds settle for 5-10 min, take SMALL SIPS, and once you get a little grounds in your mouth, let it settle again before taking another sip. If you get more grounds, thats it for your drink. I got a mouthful of grounds because I habitually take big sips, but the grounds themselves are DELICIOUS and go down easily since they are so finely ground.TL;DR - Barista nice. Cold brew good. Kafette very good.
Great coffee and customer service with nice indoor design.
Great service. The decor sets the mood for wonderful coffee experience. Friendly staff.
So normally Savaya is a 5 star all around! With that said, here recently (within this week) it’s not been good. The only thing I can think is that a batch was burnt, because my drink and my husband’s tasted the same...burnt.Now I don’t want to discourage anybody that’s new! They must be having an off week. Definitely give them a try, because they are better than this!
Really really good cup of coffee. Knowledgeable staff, nice atmosphere. Physical building feels more corporate but the quality of the coffee is boutique small batch.
I just loved the coffee here. I had a Columbian French press black coffee. It had an amazing flavour. I paired it with the prepackaged salted caramel cookie. I think they dont have freshly baked stuff right now due to covid. The place is beautiful too. Old wooden furniture and hand painted walls. Theres a mural on the wall that I loved. Its a woman standing in a storage unit with coffee. The washroom door is cleverly morphed into the mural so I had to pay attention to look for it. The thermostat is a truck, and the plug board is a barrel. The guy who made me my coffee was patient and seemed to love what he was doing. He explained to me with great interest the kinds of coffee origins they had that day and how each one of them tasted. This helped me choose what I wanted. Ive never seen a more passionate person behind the counter at a coffee place. Really nice place to visit.
I love this place! From the atmosphere inside to the incredible staff, this is my favorite coffee shop in Tucson. As someone who’s tried most coffee shops in town, it’s hard to find one that plays music at a normal volume, isn’t too dark inside, doesn’t get too crowded, and so on. Mario is extremely personable behind the counter, and also is an expert at getting you the best cup of what you want, while also educating you on what it is and where it’s from. Overall, can’t say enough good things about Savaya on Broadway!
Best espresso Ive found in southern arizona yet
Fantastic coffee. Friendly barrista. Top notch.
We were visiting from out of town and had some time to kill and decided to check a local coffee chain and this place was fantastic!! The gentleman behind the counter was informative and so friendly!! He gave us a few samples. I totally recommend and will come back next time in town
A real gem. A local coffeehouse that roasts their own. Unique flavor profile and genuine passion. They also have the best Turkish coffee (from scratch not a mix) you can’t get anywhere else in the region.
Best coffee you can find in Tucson, it is usually quiet and not too crowded during the week. Even after office hours. Prices range from very inexpensive to fair depending on what you get (still cheaper than coffee chains around the area). The few food items that you can get are really good and they usually have a nice selection of sweets to complement your tea or coffee preference.Pros: Big selection of TeasGreat Coffee QualityGood pricesCons: Service can be a bit slow if it is crowded but this rarely happens
Way too expensive for a cold brew, also tasted too acidic for me
Great variety of awesome coffee, excellent staff and cool environment!
Super mellow spot to chill and have a cup of coffee tried their Toddy Cold Brew--just a classic cold brew. Delicious cold coffee pick me up for this hot lazy afternoon. Now that barista is gone and was replaced by somebody that provides a normal service. Not worth it anymore. It is sad to see an awesome place like this venue being run by somebody that does not measure up to the standards that had been set previously.
I visit this place regularly because the product is good and its a nice place to study, however they recently raised all of their prices and its a little ridiculous. Four dollars is way too much for a standard drip coffee without even a refill included. There are better local shops close in this area when considering the price hike.
Easily the best quality coffee in town. Small cafe, but never too crowded. I just run in for a delicious cup and go on my way.
Great little shop. expect a possible wait though, it fills up fast but you will probably be able to find a seat. cappuccino is good! Bicycle / bike rack around the corner, but not in view of window. Seems secure
Coffee Coffee love it.
Change your working hours... Save people feom driving. Thats not that hard
The coffees and the history is an experience. The baristas really know their craft as well as the types of coffees and best methods for preparing them a coffee lovers paradise
Great coffee!!!! The worker, Mario is a cool dude. Highly recommend him!
The best cold brew selections I’ve had in my life!
This place blew my mind. This place would best be placed in the West Hills of Portland than in the dry desert valley that is Tucson. This place has delicious drinks, natural juices, but also decadent and creamy Turkish Caffette. I only give it 4 stars because on Sundays its standing room only and they welcome wifi-borrowing laptop squatters that spend all day typing their underwater basket weaving writing assignments.
Folks are great coffee clientele and service is amazing staff extremely knowledgeable. Definitely I must go to thousand times better then any chain coffee shops
Great coffee/tea shop. Mario is not only a skilled baristo but seems like a solid Manager. All employees are personable and efficient and know their jobs well.Nice, relaxing atmosphere.
The team at Savaya roast and serves the best most balanced single source coffee in town.Go here to learn, perk up, and but some coffee.
Great selection of varietal coffees. Not so good iced coffee but the hot drinks are amazing.
The girl was very nice and very knowledgeable about coffee.
Best coffee in Tucson and maybe the United States! We came here and fell in love with their coffee products. We live out of state but we still order from them on line. Additionally, these folks support military members who have served our great country! Try Savaya and Ill guarantee youll never go to the big chain coffee shop again! Thank you Savaya! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
My wife and I spent some time at Savaya for the first time, and it was a great experience. Mario tended to us so gracefully and shared with us the nuances of the different types of coffees. We sat down for a press of Kona coffee. It was very good. The patrons were also friendly and made for a positive and relaxed vibe. We will definitely return for another cup soon.
We stopped in while walking around street. and I got the Bruce Lee coffee and it was fantastic! Along with how sweet and friendly the barista behind the bar was we will definitely be back.
Outstanding espresso flavor! Deep and rich, smooth without a bitter finish. Exceptional! All artistically presented. Comfortable, welcoming interior decor. Friendly efficient service. Definitely a ***** rating!
Nice little place. Ordered the Kafette.. it was divine. I will definally be back.
Not just another run of the mill coffee house interesting coffees from around the world!
Wife likes it. Im a MtDew kinda guy, but the wife always appreciates it when I pick her up a tasty latte from here. She vastly prefers it over Starbucks. Nice barristas and its a cozy place.
Always great customer service, very friendly and knowledgeable staff, can ask them about any of thier coffee from made drinks or take home coffee, they know thier stuff.Always great coffee, never a let down!
This place is fantastic. Their cold brewed iced coffee is delicious and their staff will customize anything you need. The place is always clean and has a nice vibe to it. I love supporting local Tucson businesses and I will be back again and again.
Very good Eggs Benedict and Classic Breakfasts. Nice Atmosphere.
Great, flavorful, organic coffee, with a very cozy atmosphere. Mario behind the bar is always a friendly face to see first thing in the morning.
Very good coffee for purist. Black small cream is strong but not bitter.
Have been here a few times. Very relaxing atmosphere. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the coffees they serve. Love that they have the Square app option to pay!
Great local business with organic coffee and a widely varied selection of beans from around the world. Theyre brewing something different every day, so its always exciting to pop in and see what delicious selection I get to choose from! The staff is always so friendly and welcoming.
The coffee, pastries, and staff are all top notch. As a first timer I was wildly impressed 🤟
Amazing coffee that is fresh roasted on premises! I recommend the kaffette, its similar to a Turkish coffee. Its a very strong, slightly sweet, little cup of our morning bliss. The staff is quick and friendly. This is by far my favorite coffee shop in Tucson.
Love the options here. Got a matcha with macadamia milk sweetened with monk fruit. Delicious combo!
For business I spent a week in Tucson and I had several Espresso at Savaya Coffee Market in E Broadway Blvd.Let me say that is the best Espresso I have ever had in USA.Better than a lot of Espresso Ive had in Italy. If you really want to taste a real espresso flavor you have to go there and ask for an Espresso RIstretto. You will be satisfied.
Love their drip and their spicy chai latte. They also recognize us when we come in and ask if we want the usual. Very friendly. Highly recommended.
Very small space, but the coffee, employees, and vibe are first class.
Awesome coffee. Lovely barista sold me a cup that tasted exactly the way she described. Going back today for another.
This is definetly a great place to get coffee, it’s a nice place and they never skimp in quality, I go here all the time when I’m in the mood for some coffee. Great little place in Tucson.
The Savaya family has a 500 year history in the coffee trade- you can find their coffee on Amazon BUT a visit here will delight even the xnobbirst of connoisseurs
First time here, a most pleasant spot for a quiet cup of coffee in a stylishly relaxed place.
Had a very nice cup of Turkish coffee, love the decor and the smells. Will be back.
The chai latte with oat milk is AMAZING. Friendly staff, clean and comfy inside.
I got a flat white. Amazing, fresh flavor.
Was staying across the street and went over for a real coffee staff couldnt have been friendlier and more helpful. Asked some advice on places to eat in the area and they gave a nice rundown of the local places. Went back in later and gave me a refill at a discount.
Science cold brew I think it was called, was simply amazing!
Love the atmosphere and the japanese science coffee set up is really fun too
A real coffee shop with deep knowledge of the beans sell and the kind of staff that will convert vague descriptions I into great choices
Lovely selection of coffee at great prices. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly.
THIS STUFF IS NO JOKE. Not only was it delicious and smooth back but it also jolted me back to wide awake.Definitely worth a try if you are a slight caffeine addict like myself. Overall I had a wonderful experience and definitely plan on both coming back and bringing my friends along.
This place is cozy and awesome. The barista was friendly and we learned about Turkish coffee (kafette) and tried it - something new for us. Its nice to get such personal service. The coffee is organic and the prices were very reasonable...more so than the chain that is everywhere. I am so happy we found this little place.
The server was knowledged. Great coffee, great invironment
Great coffee with dairy free options!Warm atmosphere. Friendly baristas. They even have gluten free and vegan snacks!🌱
The coffee was good, although the barista behind the counter was more interested in talking with the guy on the other side of the counter (not me)
I love this place! Everything here is yummy, and everyone is so friendly! I definitely recommend this place!
We have our Bible study at Savaya and Michelle is always so sweet and its a welcoming experience.
Love their coffee bean options! Never had a bad one. Their lattes are pretty delicious too
Cozy with beautiful live-edge mesquite tables. I’ll be back
Savaya is THE PLACE TO GO for quality coffee. Everyone is super knowledgeable and happy to help you find your perfect cup!
Savaya has the best coffee in town, hands down, no contest. Ask to take one of their coffee classes and it will change your perception of coffee forever.
Savaya remains my favorite coffee in Tucson. They also have some of the most knowledgeable cafe employees!
The coffee was good. The environment was calm, but I seemed rushed and no one explained anything to me so I just got a black coffee.
Great pastries, and excellent knowledgable staff. Went in today and got three iced coffees, two oat bars (all natural ingredients listed on the label), and a biscotti. All for under $20. Cant wait to go back!
Every popular coffee shop in Tucson has reviews saying its the best. I can tell you Savaya has my vote, but nothing will substitute you trying a simple cup of their brewed coffee. Go there, get a cup (its only 2.50), and I promise you wont be disappointed. Other shops in town have comparable mochas and the like, but nobody comes close to Savayas coffee itself.
Excellent coffee and customer service. Very knowledgable and helpful; way better than the average chain coffee shop.
Always love the drinks here as well as the amazing staff!
Always love a high class coffee shop with a calm and warm environment
Great upscale coffee shop.
Standard issue indie coffee shop in Tucson. Good service and wifi.
Friendly, knowledgeable baristas and and an eclectic collection of regulars to chat with while you wait for your order. Relaxed and laid-back ambiance.
Had a wonderful French press of Sumatra and plan to be back for a scientific brew (cold brew process)
Great atmosphere, and amazing selection. Their African varietal coffees are amazing, but also super popular. They can be hard to get, but worth it.
