Awesome place to go. As AZ resident for a number of years, have always found this place special. Have ordered holiday cakes and pies. Pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving has become a family tradition. Todays breakfast was spectacular. Outdoor dining a delight in COVID atmosphere.

They have plenty to choose from for people with a sweet tooth. Fast customer service, it was a little busy at 115pm but all staff members made sure to help all customers. Will come back. 7 treats for about $13, but can vary depending on your liking.

Village Bakehouse was absolutely wonderful to work with since the beginning. Given that we had to postpone our wedding a couple of times due to the pandemic, they were very flexible and accommodating. We had changed our minds a couple of times regarding flavors and they were understanding and provided helpful suggestions. Our cake was a masterpiece. They delivered the cake on time and meticulously executed the placement of flowers we had envisioned on our three tiered cake. Besides the cake looking absolutely stunning, it was absolutely delicious. Best wedding cake we have ever tasted and we were so thankful it was our own! Our guests were also very impressed with the quality and taste of the cake. Paulette, the owner, is very responsive and wonderful to work with. In addition, they offer a one year anniversary cake which is a very special gesture instead of saving and eating frozen wedding cake- we are really looking forward to that! We definitely recommend Village Bakehouse!

Love this restaurant. A great meeting location for coffee, breakfast, brunch or lunch.Excellent service, great food, decadent pastries!Love sitting outside on the patio with friends.I would have given 5 stars this visit had brunch been more to my expectation. I ordered the quiche, delicious but only lukewarm served on a scorching hot plate with fresh fruit on the same hot plate. Fresh cold fruit should never be served with hot food on the same plate. The fruit was literally melting and the greens wilted.New kitchen staff obviously!I will be back! Looking to score 5 stars!

Absolutely THE best customer service on such short notice. Their cakes are phenomenal, gorgeous looking and taste great as well. Very reliable and do not disappoint. Pastries are on point too. They were our wedding reception saviors. Great customer service is hard to find during these unprecedented times but they went above and beyond for me. I appreciate you Paulette and all your staff. The food was very good very good, plenty of room to comfortably sit and lots of parking. My big complaint were the flies. The overhead fans were mostly turned off so they were everywhere other than that like I said the sandwiches were great. I loved the roast beef

I recently attended a 90th Birthday party and they served a Beautiful cake from Village Bakehouse.. it was beautifully presented and tasted even better! I decided then where I would get my nephews 49th Birthday cake. Asked what I wanted on the cake stumped me for a moment as I had not yet thought of anything - but what quickly came to my mind was the hotel he has been so involved with for the past 2 years, from the original building plans to the successful boutique hotel it has become. So I showed the young lady assisting me an on-line photo from the hotels own website, she took my phone, made a snap-shot of the picture, sent it to my photos, cropped it and texted it to their website. I picked up the cake 3 days later and only Then did we see this Beautiful cake - I was absolutely blown away -- PERFECT ... putting the Happy Birthday to on the side. Later at the party I presented a gorgeous cake to my nephew .. Smiles galore. THANK YOU doesnt say the half of it ....

We ordered a cake for my daughters wedding and it turned out BEAUTIFUL! Not only that, but it was delicious! The flavors were red velvet, carrot cake and chocolate. Very pleased.

Very very high quality of of food and pastries, weve liked everything weve had there. The place is busy and its for a good reason. The only two things I would change is the location of where you go get your drinks. People line up to wait their drinks right in front of the main entrance and it confuses people so much as to where to queue. Also during summer the AC there cant keep up and is sometimes even turned off for some reason.

Village Bakehouse consistently has great food and some of the best pastries in town. I appreciate that their staff wear masks. Their staff are generally very helpful and kind. They have a nice patio that typically has some seats available. This is a great, local business!

I ordered a custom birthday cake from here and they exceeded my expectations! I did everything over the phone and Haley was sure to repeat everything back to me at the end of my order to make sure it was correct. I emailed them a photo of what I wanted and I am so so happy with how the cake turned out. Everyone thought it was delicious but we were hesitant to cut into Maple (Name of the cub from Animal Crossing)For this review I provided a picture of my birthday cake and the photo I emailed them for my request!

Love this place, especially for the baked goods! Their sugar cookies are delicious and pretty, and the chocolate crinkles are also great! When Im on the Northwest side, I have to stop here! 😋

Yet another over the top delicious cake. My 3rd and smallest cake that Ive purchased from you did not disappoint. Everyone who takes a bite of one of your cakes cannot stop raving about the taste. Im so glad I came across this place. I cant say enough good about it. That have a decent breakfast and lunch menu. As well an abundance of baked goods. Everything that I have had there has been yummy and fresh. The portions are pretty good too. Coffee excellent(latte). Stagf is very friendly as well. You can also buy already made cakes or made to order. Which I have not done yet but I will. I highly recommend this place. It has outdoor seating, but go early or later in the day as the tables seem to fill quickly.

I went in last weekend to buy 2 cupcakes for my parents anniversary. I ordered one chocolate and one carrot. I was annoyed after I left because even though all the carrot cupcakes I saw in the window did not have sprinkles, I ended up with one that did. I was not asked if I wanted them. When I gave them to my parents that afternoon they both said the cake portion was dry. At over 4 dollars each Id expect moist delicious cake. Disappointed. They said the frosting was good.

Wow!!! If I could rate this place 6/5 stars I would! Every employee here is so kind and accommodating and the breakfast sandwich is to die for, I make sure to come here every time I’m in Tucson!

I used Village Bakehouse for the desert bar and cake for my wedding! They were so easy to get ahold of, and were flexible to make any changes I requested. They did an amazing job setting up the desert bar and my wedding cake came out beautifully. And of course, everything tasted amazing. Would definitely recommend them for any wedding or event!

Had breakfast here - AMAZING! Try the breakfast tacos! The apple stuffed french toast was incredible, too. Only 4 stars because my friend ordered a cake and they wrote the wrong thing on it. They were not very kind or helpful in fixing it, or making any recompense when it turned out sloppy, due to trying to fix it. But the cake tasted great.

We had a small wedding cake done here the end of July 2021. The buttercream frosting was terrific, however they did a bad job of decorating it and I cried. Please allow enough time to get it fixed when picking it up and have someone pick it up with authority to say something if its poorly done. Our cake looked worse then a $10 cake at Walmart. Very unprofessional...they should have contacted me if they had a question on it. Because of how it looked I cant and wont be saving any cake pictures in the photo album. The silk flowers were given to them attached to a white base, which was then simply plopped on the cake base and all. It was a $45 cake - 8 inch.

Great place for breakfast outdoors with mom. The taters in Steves breakfast burrito I will do without next time. The tomatilla salsa is quite pleasant and piquant.

Lots of great reviews for this place! And well deserved! The sandwich I had which was the club was fantastic!!! Had to get one of those incredible looking gourmet cupcakes also which was very good. Pretty cool place.I want to eat every cupcake and try more sandwiches because they were so good!!!Note: I want to review below mine a little ways down talked about some rude employees and I encountered nothing like that. Even the people described in his review pretty nice and friendly.

My auntie and I went in for sandwiches. They were excellent, prepared fresh to order. Dessert was pan chocolate. Definitely worth a trip.

I love this bakery. They have all kinds of delicious and fresh pastries, bread, cookies, pies, muffins, you name it! And also serves breakfast and lunch. The seating area inside the bakery is kinda tight but plenty of room outside the front patio.

Love it!!! I needed my morning coffee so I got a vanilla latte. Just perfect. Of course, it wouldnt be complete without a muffin... morning glory. Oh glory....delicious

Decided to stop in and pick up lunch to go.. good thing I looked at the menu online beforehand because there isnt one in the store, and I looked every where. If I didnt know better, It appears to be nothing but a bakery. The staff was very unfriendly and kept to themselves. I found the customers to be more talkative, and upon leaving it was again, a guest who told me to have a great day. Ordered a sunshine salad which I am not at all impressed with.. also paid for an extra side of dressing which was 2.00 and had to ask for it because it was not in the bag with my food. Definitely will be sticking to the baked goods and only that from here.

So, my Mom lives in Saddlebrooke up the road and I was in need of some quality baked goods to send off to her for Christmas. The restaurant was so wonderful at communicating some options, delivering, and sending the gift card as I requested. She will have a nice meal from a great menu at some point with one of her friends with the gift card. She has already been raving about her delivery and sharing baked goods with friends. The restaurant made such a great impact, I can’t wait to take her in person here when I am in Tucson again!

I got my wedding cake baked by Village Bakehouse and it was DELICIOUS! We booked them so last minute and they were able to work with my husbands and my insanely busy schedule. They were so accommodating. They gave us a to go box to taste the cakes since we were too busy to go in. We were able to do things easily over the phone. I showed them a picture of what I wanted and they made it look even better! It was UNREAL! (the photo added was taken on an iPhone) It was so beautiful and it tasted even better. It had my guests go back for multiple trips! I had one who went back for TEN slices!

I read the review on the chocolate cake at this establishment so I ordered the chocolate mousse cake for a birthday. We all were very disappointed as we expected chocolate cake with mousse in between. Beware when ordering that it has about an inch of cake on top, about 4-5 inches of mousse in the middle and an inch of cake on the bottom. Not what we were expecting.

GREAT Blueberry pies, cinnamon rolls, rugela and tons of other in house made goodies! The awesome thing too... GREAT coffee! This has become my go-to place for baked goods and coffee and pick me ups! Staff are wonderful and accomodating, move people quickly, and outdoor dining is terrific.

Village Bakehouse has decadent desserts, hot coffee, and a full menu of good food. Stop in and treat yourself!

Got our wedding cake here and it looked and tasted better than I could have ever dreamed! (We got married on Halloween, hence the pumpkin)

Great food! Great coffee! Terrible coffee lids! No matter how much we adjusted the lids, each sip we took dripped on our shirts. Next time we know to take the lids off.

Their apple pie is phenomenal!! Highly recommend. 👍🙂

I have visited this place several times and although prices are a bit on the higher end for the type of food, the quality and flavor make up for the quantity and price. Customer service however has been a bit fluctuating. I have seen staff members be exceptionally friendly with some of the customers, perhaps regulars, and on the verge of rude with others including myself! If they are busy they tend to rush you through in an effort to clear the line although their food & drink selection is quite large and when you are a new customer it can be overwhelming! I also requested some pastries to go and they were packaged so badly some of them were completely squished once I got home! So all in all, the food is tasty but not cheap, most of the employees definitely need some customer service training!

I ordered a cake for my Granddaughters 10th birthday. It was exactly what she wanted. The best bakery. I drive from downtown area to go there. It is worth the drive.

No doubt that Village Bakehouse produces quality baked goods. My issue is with front end organization and Covid safety.When it is busy ordering is an unpleasant experience - not clear where you are in line and who is taking your order. The confusion is hard on the staff as well as you can sense they become uncomfortable trying to figure out who is next.People are bunching up too close to each other as they wait for their order. Would be much better if someone would monitor the line and make the ordering process and order collection easier.

Warning! If you purchase a pie from Village Bakehouse, you may not be able to stop buying more! We grabbed a peach pie last week - one of my favorites and it was without question the best peach pie weve ever had - and weve had a few! So I called this week to ask if they could make another one of my favorites (red raspberry) and it might have been even better if thats possible (completely devoured in 2 days - just my wife and I). Its going to take amazing willpower to not rush out and try another next week (Im thinking strawberry/rhubarb at the moment).....

I was really excited to pick up my daughters smash cake for her 1st birthday and seeing the cake, but ended up leaving dissapointed. I had wanted a unicorn decorated cake that you see everywhere, explained that at the time of the order when I went in several days before, showed them examples and they even had the exact style in a cookie that was showcased. I wanted the frosting in the shape of the hair, the eyes and smile, and was going without the ears or horn. It most likely didnt go the way I wanted it to because the actual cake decorator/Baker never talked to me, instead their cashier was the middle man. Coming here for the first I didnt know if this was their regular drill or what not. In the future I would suggest asking to talk to the actual person who is making your cake so you dont end up getting dissapointed. Im bummed out, but Im not going to have them remake a cake when the party is the following day, and for the fact that out of bakeries I called they were the only ones who answered and did a vegn cake, as my daughter is highly allergic to dairy.

Today I picked up a phone ordered double layer lemon cake with lemon filling and raspberry buttercream frosting. DYNAMITE!!! Best Birthday Cake Bakery in town hands down!!! So glad I tried this bakery!

When you walk into a place and they know your names. That should tell you how often we go here. Theres way too many things to list that weve gotten from here. Everything thats weve gotten keeps us coming back to try something new. So far weve been happy with every tasty treat we got.

I used Village Bakehouse for my wedding cake and it was absolutely beautiful and delicious! I wanted a simple cake and the decorator did an excellent job doing the dirty iced look. The cake was the best tasting cake, we got champagne with raspberry preserves and my guests couldnt stop telling me how great it was.

Nice place for home style breakfast. Not a lot of indoor seating, but the outdoor seating is shaded. The food usually comes pretty quickly.

Love this place! They made our grooms cake back in 2014 and we’ve been using them since then for every celebration that requires cake! They service is amazing and the pastries are delicious! The breakfast egg sandwich with a side of red potatoes is my go to. You can’t go wrong with Village Bakehouse. (For the frosting lovers, this is the best in town. Hands down)

Village Bakehouse is AMAZING! Highly recommend! My parents surprised with a unicorn cake for my birthday and wholly cow where to start... The rainbow icing, AMAZING, the NUTELLA flavored cake, AMAZING. It had sparkles and a gold unicorn horn and sprinkles - basically it was cake dreams come true! Looking for a cake to remember then you are in the right place! And ask for Mariah! She’s a doll!

Saw them featured the other night on TV. So went up to check them out and be supportive of a community business. We got pastries, yum! Very reasonably priced. We will be going back to try out their other different items, which were many. Employees very nice. Welcoming. Easy in and out.

We got pies for Pi(e) day this year at my work and WOW was this a big win for our team! We ordered several pies and the straberry rhubarb pie was hands down the best. Thank you for making Pi(e) day 2019m memorable ofr us!

We live on the northeast side and like to make the drive to Village for our special occasion cakes. They always continue to amaze me with their decorating abilities not to mention the most delicious cake and flavors. Most recently my son wanted a blueberry outdoor themed cake. It was phenomenal!

Im a sticky bun/cinnamon roll connoisseur! I live on the east side and dont have the opportunity to visit often. I purchased a sticky bun when in the area this week. Ive had sticky buns from othertop bakeries in town, this was the best! Both times Ive visited the counter person wasnt friendly, but Ill be back to try new things

Not only are all the bakery goods wonderful, the folks who work there are efficient and friendly. Also, heres a secret - ever heard of an Ishler? It is a delicious pastry with almond. Its like an open-faced cheese & almond croissant. Check it out. They sell out fast!

I was so disappointed in the cake and cupcakes we ordered for our parents 60th Anniversary Party! I emailed, sent pictures received confirmations they could do what I asked and it was awful. No filling in any of the cupcakes and the cake I could have paid a 1/4 of the price and had a Grocery Store make it better than what we received! Really Not Right and even after I emailed them and sent the pictures no response from them at all! I bet you can guess which one we ordered verses which one we received lol

Village Bakehouse made the cake for my wedding last week, and I cant recommend them highly enough! When we went for an initial visit, we were given a 1:1 consultation and had so many options to choose from. She even made a detailed drawing of our dream wedding cake while we described it to make sure it was exactly how we wanted it. The cake was amazing and they worked to stay within our budget too. The florist even dropped off flowers to the venue so the person who delivered the cake could decorate it with fresh flowers an hour before the wedding. They were so great to work with and the cake was just incredible! We had 4 different flavors (including a bourbon/bourbon cream cake they made especially for us!) and the guests are still raving about it. Thank you!

Village Bakehouse made an incredible cheesecake for our wedding! Paulette was great! She effectively communicated with me every step of the way. The Cheesecake was delivered on time and was creamy and decadent even during a June wedding in Arizona! Everything was beyond better than what was expected! Paulette can also make any flavor and crust combo imaginable. Very Pleased with the choice to book with Village Bakehouse!

I really really want to give the Bakehouse a 5 but I can’t because of the following. Some of their staff have a hard time getting an order right. If you order bakery items to go, make sure you look in all the boxes and bags. If I forget or it’s crowded and I’m rushed and don’t make them open everything, 90% of the time I get home with the wrong item.When you eat right there and can call them out if they bring you the wrong thing, they happily make it right.Everything they bake/cook is 5 star.Tonight for dessert I have the wrong thing and am extremely disappointed.

Lovely little place! Staff checked to make sure my chicken was moist (other customers in previous days had complained about chicken being dry). Glad to know that staff is dedicated to customer satisfaction. Gluten free choices. Couldnt eat the dessert goodies, but they looked scrumptious!

Great for breakfast or lunch but outstanding bakery and coffee. If you cant find something to delight your sweet tooth here, you need to replace your tooth. Everything from pies to pastries to cookies will put a smile on your face for the rest of the day. And if you like espresso, you cant find a better one...except maybe in Italy.

The inside is not wheel chair or walker accessible. Had a very hard time getting around people. The lady taking my elderly clients order did not have the patience to listen and let him say what he wanted. She interrupted while he was telling her the type of macaroons he wanted and asked if he wanted a drink (to us it seemed like she assumed he was done, but he wasn’t). He has troubles speaking and it takes him awhile to say what it is he wants, which is clear so people should wait patiently. I ordered a croissant and when I went up to let them know I hadn’t received it yet, the lady (Different one then before) didn’t even say anything nor smile. I was not happy with the customer service here. Regardless of how long it takes someone to order, smile and try to help them in any way possible. Do not rush them. Food was good but customer service is IMPORTANT. Please be kind to ALL of your customersEDIT; after speaking with the owner, she was very polite about the situation and wanted to make sure this never happens again. I am satisfied with how she handled the problem and she has gained my respect. Not a lot of owners will acknowledge their wrongdoing and she wanted to make up for it! Visually Beautiful and yummy pastries

This is a regular lunch spot for us. I would recommend the sandwiches, the hamburger and soups. The fruit salad is always fresh. While there get some fresh baked bread to take home too.

Every time we visit we are GREETED with a SMILE & How can we help you. The pastry & cakes are to die for. Thank You for being an AWESOME bakery.
