I can not say enough about this business! The coffee is amazing, the atmosphere is welcoming and the owner is a pillar of the community. He has put everything on the line for what he knows is right. You can ask more from a human. God bless him, his family and his employees. We drove 30 min to get coffee here and its worth the drive. Will do it again.
Friendly staff and great coffee! Drove 20 minutes out of my way just to come visit. Talked to the owners for a bit small world we are both from Oregon. Overall great environment and if your in the area I definitely recommend stopping by and supporting local business!!
Viva has great coffee for a great price! It is locally owned and not part of a mega millions corporation. The pastries are limited quantity but always fresh and the one-day-old ones get marked down to only $1. There is plenty of seating inside as well as on the patio so stop by on your morning walk with the dog. Also, there are a couple bookshelves for local vendors to market their resin decorations, dessert mix, wood works, or jewelry pieces. Viva also has a punch card for loyal customers and a tip-the-cop jar for police to pick up free drinks!
I asked the barista for a recommendation and got a vanilla scone with an iced Mexican mocha. Both were excellent. Worth the drive.
My husband and I found this cute coffee shop on our off fridays and have enjoyed the quality of the coffee as well as the ambience. We brought our two young children in on a Saturday and discovered a little children’s nook that Viva made for kids. My kids had a lot of fun and made sipping coffee enjoyable with two toddlers occupied with fun and playing. This coffee house is quickly becoming our favorite morning outing.
A friend and I drove 45 minutes to support this coffee shop after we dropped our kids off at school. I absolutely LOVE this coffee shop and will come out and support it anytime I can. We plan to visit a lot more and I plan to take my family to their Cars & Coffee event. The staff were all very friendly. It was a little busy when we went but we had patience and werent bothered by it at all as I am happy to see they have business. It was amazing to see smiling faces, if you choose to wear a mask then that is fine too. A couple people walked in and nothing was said nor was anyone judged. I had a Caramel Macchiato and it was amazing. The espresso was great and had no bitter after taste.I cant wait to go back!
Great little local shop thats patriotic and backs the blue. They have a donation cup to buy a coffee for a cop, cool idea. They also have a stamp card for a free coffee. Always friendly and clean. Excited to hear they are starting to host cars and coffee.Oh and to some of the fake reviews on here, I have yet to go in and not see any staff without a mask on, and they are always friendly and courteous. Go in and give em a try, you wont be disappointed.
Small local business with BIG heart for their community and America! Very pleasant and fun atmosphere! Very refreshing place to enjoy coffee, food, friends, and FREEDOM! The egg sandwich was simple yet hugely satisfying! When asked what was the secret ingredient, the answer was, it was made with love! Clearly made all the difference!
We visited Viva for the first time today! Boy was I impressed not only by the welcoming atmosphere, super nice staff, excellent beverage, and awesome kid play area, but also by the American Constitution placed on the front window and framed on the wall! I told my husband who was a former Marine and his response was Hell yeah! We will be supporting this place! Way to go, Viva, for what you stand for!
Very friendly staff & great coffee. What more can you ask for? My favorites are the mexi mocha, orange cardamom and the banana bread. The best coffee spot in all of Tucson.
I absolutely love this coffee shop, and highly recommend this establishment. Great coffee, great food, and superb staff! Thank you!
Finding a good coffee shop is almost impossible. I will crawl over glass to come to Viva. The customer service is PHENOMENAL! The people are kind. THANK YOU!! PLEASE SUPPORT THIS PLACE!!! I dont want to go to sub par coffee shops anymore!!
I love to support small businesses and my hubby says the coffee is so good.
Drove 40 minutes to check out this coffee shop with my mom and sister. I was pleased with the coffee, breakfast sandwich and service. I loved how friendly everyone ones, including the customers. I like that they leave it up to the customers to decide if they want to wear a mask or not, very American. Will definitely make the drive again to this lovely place.
All around great place, friendly staff and nice relaxing environment, great coffee as well, support local businesses, I highly recommend stopping in for some great coffee.
I only recently heard of Viva, but have been a few times now. Great people and a great product. I also appreciate the Freedom Talks they put on for the promotion of liberty and education. Keep up the great work all around!
My husband and I love this coffee shop. We recently moved to the south east part of Tucson and looked for a place to go for Saturday coffee for 3 months before we found this place. I went there on Saturday and was on the phone when I left and accidentally left my purse behind. We didn’t realize it until we got to our next destination and we immediately turned around and went back to hopefully get my purse. I called the coffee shop for the entire 20 minute drive back over there and no one picked up the phone. The website states feel free to call for curbside service any time before noon and it was 10:30 approximately when I was calling. I didn’t want to leave a bad review because we truly love this place but since no one is answering the phone I wasn’t sure how to communicate with the coffee shop about this issue I have. I went back and my purse was sitting exactly where I left it but there weren’t any employees behind the counter for me to speak with about the phone issue. I’m not sure why y’all state to call any time but then don’t pick up the phone when I called over 20 times in a row trying to locate my missing purse.
Great coffee and great cake. I enjoy the shop and the staff.
I was looking for a change of “scenery” to relax and do a little homeschooling with my son. We went off the beaten path and loved our experience at Viva. All the staff were friendly and the coffee shop is family friendly as well. They have a ton of drink choices and a few kids drinks on the menu plus legos to play with. I had an iced coconut mocha that was really good. One of the owners was there and he came up and talked with us and told us to check back for Avengers sightings . Only wish we could visit more often if we weren’t half an hour away. But we will definitely be back.
This place is an oasis for anyone who wants to enjoy a good cup of coffee. We stopped going places when they wouldn’t let us in with my 2 yo because she wasn’t wearing a mask (kids under 5 can’t be forced to wear one). The warmth and sense of freedom in the atmosphere are indescribable...it was like 2019 again 🧡 🇺🇸We need more places like this in Tucson.
We drove over an hour to come support this local business and it was so worth it! Everyone was so nice and the coffee was great! We will be making this a weekly thing!
We stopped here during a family road trip. Service was good and the coffee was even better! If you like good coffee youll like this spot.
Nice and cool shop to rest in or do your work. Friendly staff. Recommend going here.
I went to show my support to one of our local businesses after seeing the owner unfairly arrested for trying to seek justice. I was really excited to try it and show them that they have a community behind them. When I walked through the door I was greeted by the sound of confrontation coming off of a patrons computer. I quickly realized it was the video that has been circulating the internet of the owner speaking. There was no music playing and no greetings or smiles from the staff (to give them the benefit of the doubt I attributed this to feeling unsafe at work). The fact that the patron was playing this video for everyone to hear does not speak poorly of the business- because patrons are free to play what they want; however, the vibe as soon as I walked in the door was extremely defensive and depressive. Aside from the lack of welcome, I quickly noticed that Neither of the worker were wearing masks- I get the whole eff the pima county health department, but choosing to participate in unsafe practices during a global pandemic sent out tantrum vibes, and “we don’t give an eff, we are going to do what we want” feels. When it was my turn to order I made sure to let the cashier know that I was there to show my support and she replied with a monotone, “thanks”, and that was that. I was only the second person in the que, yet it took 10 min to get my beverage which was barely warm, at best. I couldn’t help but notice the “we back the blue money pot” which collected funds to buy cops coffee. A nice gesture, but given the somewhat hostile atmosphere- I felt it more as a political statement (only my observation and not taken into account when giving my two star review). Overall, I was happy when I left the shop and felt I could breathe. I felt uncomfortable in there, and somewhat deceived by the outcry for public support and the “we are following safety precautions set forth by the pima heath department”. Overall not really the kind of local business I want to support- but I am sure it is someone else’s cup of tea.
They always make me feel welcomed! The food and coffee is soooo good! They’re also family friendly! So being your kiddos & have a coffee with a friend! Love this place.
Excellent cold brew, perfect balance between smooth and bitter. Great atmosphere, immaculately clean, the barista could not of been any more friendly. If you’re looking for great coffee from some freedom loving folks, this is your place.
This is a wonderful local coffee shop with true Pacific Northwest craft and culture. Though Viva has only been a few months, they have done a great job of nestling into the community and delighting so many! The coffee and lattes are delicious, refined and flavorful. I have never enjoyed a plain latte as much as I have here. The espresso doesn’t need the extra flavors, but they have a good offering and seasonal selections! The owners are very sweet and, more important, have so much love for the coffee experience. Any kinks as they grow (if there are any) are addressed because they really care. Please give them a try; shops like this are special and what the larger chains have lost sight of.
Viva is my favorite coffee shop. The people who work there are the sweetest and the atmosphere is inviting. My husband and I enjoy going there with our son because he can play in the kids area (seriously, such a great idea 🙌🏻) and we can talk while still able to watch our son. Their food and pastries are always fresh, we have never been disappointed. You can see the hard work this family has put in to make this a place you want to be!
My wife and I came in on January 6, 2021. We found the staff very friendly, and the pumpkin bread, egg breakfast sandwiches and coffee to all be top rate. Its clean and comfortable inside as well. We liked it very much and well be back!
Went yesterday for the first time. Ive been looking for a quality local coffee shop for awhile now. Ive found a few okay ones, but Viva knocked it out of the park!! So many options, Ill definitely be coming here again. Cortado and gf cookie bar were delicious. Only complaint is that its 30 minutes from my house♥️♥️
If youre feeling down, discouraged or you just want to get out of the house, Viva Coffee House is a real feel good place! The coffee and baked goods will lift your spirits! The employees are friendly, the service is great and the customers are a diverse and interesting crowd. You can sip your drink (or guzzle it as I do), and catch up on your email, chat with a fellow a coffee addict or sit outside on the cozy patio and people watch. This family owned business also gives back generously to the Tucson community. Show your support Viva Coffee House and come have a latte, a cup of tea or maybe an energy drink. I highly recommend Viva Coffee House!
Boyfriend and I drove from the SW side of town just to see what the hype was about, and we found out! I can tell you that we enjoyed the coffee, and the atmosphere--it was well worth the drive. I ordered a Mexican mocha and he ordered an iced coffee. I typically do not enjoy black iced coffee, however I took a sip of his coffee and it was pretty good. The Mexican mocha had a little kick to it--cinnamon, cayenne and nutmeg; it was spiced up perfectly with the perfect amount of sweetness. The Barista working on 10/20 around the 5:00-6:00 hour was pleasant and it was nice having a conversation with her. Its nice to come into a business where the employees love what they do. We will be back.
Viva Coffee House is awesome! Great owners, great atmosphere, and delicious pastries. Im not a coffee drinker, but there is something for everyone!
I had the best experience at Viva this morning. Im a first time customer, and I was highly impressed with the Americano and cold brew. Yummy pumpkin bread! I donated to your law enforcement fund, and it was my great luck that a policewoman came in as I was waiting for my order. I thanked her for her service and told her that I had just paid for her coffee. I saw the appreciation on her face, she didnt know that this coffee shop offered that! I am now your loyal customer, Viva, and I promise you that for every cup I buy, I will donate to your fund!
We’ve had a great time when we go to Viva with our playgroup! I love that I can get my tea latte in a reusable mug if I want and it feels more luxurious and like I’m making a better environmental choice. I also love that they have DECAF English breakfast tea!!! What a treat for me as even a little bit of caffeine makes me feel weird. Thanks for bringing this cool place to the southeast area!
Lovely atmosphere and very friendly. 🙂
The coffee is amazing. I normally get the ice brew since its still hot out. Theres plenty of delicious snacks to choose from that are freshly made. Inside is a very relaxed setting. Some of the most friendly and welcoming staff work here. Really cant go wrong with Viva Coffee House!
We recently tried Viva for the first time. We love the coffee. It is much less bitter than the big chain company. The staff is super friendly and really helpful at explaining selections and offering input. I love this place and will be back often.
Very inviting. Reasonable prices and waaaaay better then Starbucks. They even have a sweet little kids corner.
Best coffee shop weve visited in Tucson. Awesome service with delicious coffee drinks. We recommend the coco mocha and sea salt cardamom. Desserts here are legit!
This is a great coffee ☕ House! I had the Caramel Machiato and an egg sandwich. Just to die for it was delicious and highly recommended! 5 stars 🌟
Great coffee. Comfy atmosphere. Super friendly. Dont go anywhere else!
Great place and super friendly staff. Coffee is always wonderful. Viva coffee gives a safe place to relax in a world that is uptight. Super clean and positive atmosphere. The baristas actually welcome you with a smile which is amazing and uplifting . I highly recommend this local coffee house for great coffee and truly relaxing atmosphere. Well done and thank you.
Great coffee! Great service! Friendly atmosphere! Patriotic! They have a kitty for Coffee for Cops. It was great to contribute! Kelly will prevail in his fight against injustice incurred from the board of useless supervisors! Leos were against what they were ordered to do. boo on the board.Support an America-loving small business!
Very friendly and accommodating! My sister and I went with our littles and they had a spot for kids and also a treasure chest with toys for them to play with. Plus yummy coffee and scones!
Staff was nice, very informative and professional. Inside was nice and clean! I liked it
This was my first time in Viva. The people are very friendly. The coffee is very good - completely my style of flavorful without being overdone. The lobby is nice with limited seating due to Covid social distancing. Very nice place, well be back.
My 3rd visit here, and I adore the staff, and decor, and standing up for freedom!
Drive across Town For this cup of Joe..Love it. And Glad that they also are involved in the community they service.
It’s always a treat to visit this coffee house. Viva has a very comfortable environment for individuals and families. Friendly staff, delicious drinks and food. This business does so much for the community and for people struggling and in need. They host fun events for children and they have a nice places where people can sit and do their work. I believe they now offer tutoring for children in schools at certain times during the week!Thank you Viva for being an outstanding place in our community!
My friend had some coffee from Viva Coffee house and she gave me some. Best coffee, ever! Ill see you all tomorrow!
It was really delicious coffee and they have a cute little shop! I was especially appreciative that they give customers the freedom to choose to wear a mask or not when entering. And I love how openly supportive they are of law enforcement 💙. But overall, really great coffee and awesome staff! Ill definitely be back!
Great location with delicious coffee! I had a latte and a pastry which was very good. I saw a mother bring her daughter in. When the little girl got her drink she didnt like the bubbles in it (carbination), so the barista made her a new, different drink for free! Great service and great attitudes!
This shop is super adorable, they seem to always be doing things for the community and love their cozy little kids play spot in the rear. I’m so confused what all these reviews about the mask thing are about— it’s an eating establishment, most of the eating establishments I go to I don’t see people with masks. Even McDonald’s doesn’t require masks whether you are eating or not. These reviews seem odd. Regardless, Great place! Delicious coconut frappe! 💚
If I could put zero stars I would.Poor quality coffee. And was concerned of sanitary situation. 🤢
Best coffee shop in Town!
I love having this family owned business coffee shop in Rita Ranch. I not a fan of Starbucks and I would rather support local. The staff is always friendly and even gave me a free sample of their Tsunami Energy Drink which was pretty good.
Awesome environment, good coffee. Great drinks even if you dont want coffee. My daughter got the Italian Strawberry Soda and I got the Pineapple. Both were very good.
I love this place! Whether its the curbside order ahead in the morning headed to work or stopping by with my daughters to relax and have an amazing lavender honey latte, I have never been disappointed. There are burritos, chia pudding and pastries for a nosh, The Great Gatsby for delicious English flavor, and an amazing local coffee haus monthly magazine to read while kids play in the back room. I love local!
Really enjoyed our first visit here and cant wait to go back. The beverages are top notch and theres even a selection for children. Very clean and well sanitized environment with a fun play area for kids in the back. Thank you!
I went in after a quick stop at Safeway. There werent many people so I thought it would be fast. It wasnt. They also made some not good comments about my mask. They didnt directly say anything to me but they said them thinking I couldnt hear. This is not my first experience with viva ether. I went in soon after they opened and the workers were having a lets say lively conversation with another patron about politics. It was an uncomfortable situation to say the least. I would give it one star for my second visit for the length of time it took to get my drink and it not being good. But despite the uncomfortable first time the drink I ordered wasnt bad.
I was extremely excited for a local coffee shop to open. During my first visit, I was extremely disappointed in my watery iced coffee and stale homemade pastry, but chalked it up to a new business figuring things out. I took my mom several months later when she was visiting and she was disappointed in the coffee and pastry she ordered as well. My mom also works in the food safety industry and was disturbed that a carton of milk was left on the counter for customers to add to their drinks. Aside from the food safety concerns, the high prices werent worth the sub-par quality of items ordered.
Comfortable atmosphere, great customer service with a smile you can see in their eyes & they genuinely care about you as a customer. Yummy scones, the tea is very good and so is the chai. The lotus drinks definitely give you a pep in the step.
They dont follow any guidelines, dont feel safe ordering from this place.Update: attacking past patrons for their honest experience is a new low. Way to show your true colors.
Unfortunately witnessed a wispy man who presumably is the owner, shrieking at his staff. I just wanted a cup of coffee, but that sort of behavior really ruins the ambience. I also saw the same man carrying in wal-mart bags full of coffee grounds. Not surprising to me because the coffee itself was watery and stale, like a day old pot sitting on a burner in a truckstop. The pastry I had was tasty, though, and the staff was pleasant.
Love VIVA! Great owners and a wonderful staff. They use local coffee and support local businesses.
I dont even drink coffee. But I support these guys/girls!! We need more people who have backbones and spirit. Without it wed have lost our country years ago. Instead of fear remember to have constant vigilance. Love yall!!
Great coffee, great people, great service!
Great coffee and excellent service! Will be back
I love Viva Coffee House so much! It is my new favorite place to go and relax with my kids or with friends. The food and beverages are wonderful, the service is amazing, and the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. I highly recommend it!
Popped in for a coffee after taking my pup to the vet around the corner. Given we are in a pandemic, I was a bit surprised to see no face masks or social distancing. The place did not seem clean at all in addition to some guy coughing up a storm and not covering his mouth. I actually turned around and walked out and over to the Starbucks at Safeway. If you are down for this type of environment during our current climate and their very obvious position on our pandemic this is the place for you! Perhaps I will return after we get through the pandemic, I do love to support local and I like that they are openly supportive of law enforcement given everything going on.
This place is in full compliance and has documentation to prove it. Guess what, if you dont like their policies Starbucks is happy to accept your mask wearing face. Go whine to them.
In spite of the rigid mask regulations being placed on restaurants during this time, this darling little coffee shop is fabulous! Friendly employees, great coffee, and the atmosphere is truly inviting! Thank you Viva!☺
God Bless this Business and every Patriot who stands up to support it. [Joshua 1:9] Our Family thoroughly enjoyed the Coffee and Company. To those who would harm this establishment, we pray Psalms 35 over that situation.
I drove 40 minutes out of my way to get here and it was definitly worth it!Service was friendly and prompt and most importantly the coffee was great!I would pick this over the corporate coffee places any day.
Love this place! Service is fast and the coffee fantastic. Whenever we have friends visit from out of town we get Viva treats!
We are blessed in Vail, because Viva is hands down the best coffee shop the Tucson area has to offer! The quality and craft that goes into each drink, while doing so expeditiously, is unmatched! The owners and employees are invested in not only the success of the business but of the community. The flavors in each drink are thoughtfully created versus the mass produced sugar loaded stuff you’ll find elsewhere.
Coffee, does the body good!Viva, does the coffee even better!
I just love this place and the staff! They are super nice and friendly. I just love the delicious treats and could eat them every single day. Plus I love that they have a First Friday Event. Such great local vendors. Keeping it local.
The drinks are great, but I go for the atmosphere. Love you guys! Keep doing what youre doing!
Local family owned and caring business owners! Viva has become a neighborhood hub providing more than just cafe items. I’ve attended several events here and their main focus is continuously bringing the community together while providing the best service and drinks(also try the scones)! I love their seasonal menus and my kids love coming here for their hot chocolate and kids corner:) ❤️
Great coffee and great atmosphere! I love your shop! Also, thank you for standing up for Liberty!
I cant sing praises enough about this place. I learn something wonderful and new each time I go there. Did you know they make a lot of their own syrups? Did you know they support people and businesses in our community in so many ways, from fundraising to promoting them? They not only make great drinks, baked goods, carry offerings from other local small businesses, they are SO NICE. Everyone here is so nice. They offer curbside delivery too! Seriously. Go here.
Solid spot! In a very chill area. try the matcha..
Good service and coffee. The barista was kind to my 11 year old daughter, who was ordering and paying by herself. Cute space, too. Very family friendly and clean.
Customer service not so great. I didn’t like my coffee but my husbands was good. We both felt like we were a burden being there. I really like supporting local businesses, but unfortunately we won’t be back here.
Love this place! Great coffee, awesome baristas, welcoming owners. They do so much for community. What more can you ask for? Oh, and Andrea makes amazing baked treats!
One of the best coffee shops in Tucson. Fantastic owners and staff. Thank you for being apart of our community.
Very friendly staff and a very welcoming environment. Their gluten free blueberry bread is amazing! Also a great selection of drinks. If I lived here, Id go to this place at least once a week. Would give it a 5 star if it had more comfy chairs.
Thoroughly enjoyable experience. Great coffee, yummy snacks, and wonderful owners. Highly recommend.
