This JoAnn had the best selection and layout of any Ive been to. Theyre extremely large and spacious, and I have yet to go here and *not* find what I was looking for. πππ
This was my first time coming to this location and I was impressed with how big the location was. They had a lot of space in between each aisle so you donβt feel cramped next to your fellow shoppers. The store was very clean and stocked with a variety of crafts and decorations for the home. They had a large selection of fall items already which was very impressive. ( yes I agree itβs a little early for it but hey it was also nice to see). I came here to get Diamond Dots as I went to the Michael across the street and they didnβt have a lot to choose from. Joann has a high selection from beginners to advances and so many choices from Disney, Marvel, Animals and landscape designs. We got three different Diamond Dots and our excited to try this out. The line was a bit long but Kiern ( not sure thatβs spelt right) came to the rescue. He was supper friendly and made the situation of the long line not seem so long!
Really long lines. Limited employees. Clean store. Great sales now!
Beyond the dark Woods of Mystery, over the Mountains of the Moon, in the magical land of the Craft Hobbits, is the wonderful market faire called Joann Fabric, where the Hobbits trade their wares in the time honored, traditional and excruciatingly inefficient manner of their people.Woe be unto the poor outlander who risks his sanity in the pursuit of a simple yard of canvas, only to find that this location doesnt have any. And settling for denim, doesnt end his quest, for he must gather at the Cutting Table of Doom, where dozens of Craft Hobbits, bowl cuts bobbing in conversation, bowing under the weight of the many bolts of fabric they carry as they wait for their number to be called. Each in turn makes their way to the Cutter, with whom they carry on deep and esoteric communications over the intricacies of their various projects, while the other Hobbits mutter amongst themselves, as is their way. After what seems like years, the denim is cut, a receipt of sorts is obtained and the Outlander makes his torturous way across the rows of sewing esoterica and crafty bits, to the other end of the faire, to seek the Wizened Cashier at the End of Time. The fortress of the Cashier is guarded by the nearly impenetrable Maze of Junk Food and Trinkets. Here, the murmuring of the Craft Hobbits rises to a deafening volume as they stuff their bags and baskets with chocolate and colorful magazines with cats on the covers. Finally, the Outlander, newly grey beard itching with the weary exhaustion of the final stage of the quest, comes face to face with the Cashier. He is presented with various riddles having to do with arcane runes and sigils called coupons, which he does not possess. In the fullness of time, silver is passed, and the Outlander stumbles out into the parking lot, into the light, one yard of cursed denim in hand, tearing at his hair, rending his clothing and barking mad supplications to the gods.
I love these guys. They have an extensive collection of jewelry supplies and other crafting items. Mostly for me it depends on what Im going after. If I need fabric or jewelry stuff its definitely JoAnns. For soap or yarn its the other guy. I havent checked either one out lately for their art supplies, but they do carry many professional quality items there as well. They have so many different things its inspiring just to walk through the store! For JoAnns you cant beat the prices! I occasionally have to order from a couple specialty stores when I cant find a specific item, but I have to really want it to pay those prices. Then you add in the customer awards and Doorbusters, and on-line deals! You have to be careful not to get carried away!I do have a few quibbles: More and more theyve been getting in already made whole jewelry pieces. Whats the point? They arent a jewelry store, theyre a craft store. I want the supplies to make my own original creations, not a bunch of mass marketed costume jewelry. The other problem is that their website doesnt always work right, and that can make me miss some of the Doorbuster and one day sales. Its also very awkward to use, with reloading the whole page when you make one change to a purchase or wishlist item. It also wont show my wishlist or save-for-later items anymore. How am I going to buy more stuff if I have to go through their whole site, one by one, to find that thing I saw when browsing one day that would be perfect for todays project? But again, they do have a wonderful selection, prices are great, and Ive found the staff at the Southcenter JoAnns to be wonderfully supportive and helpful! Keep up the good work. (And fix your website.)
This is my favorite Joann! Great if youβre a jewelry crafter ππ»
Its got a good amount of sewing and crochet supplies, but it is lacking in a lot of other crafting arts. If you need to sew, youre pretty set.
Gotta love Joanns coupons. I saved more than I spent. Knew what I wanted and where it was. In and out in a hurry.
JOANNs is my go to for craft supplies. Recently got back into cookie decorating and there are a bunch of things I hadnt considered decorating with. Always great for ideas!
Close too home and Great Prices with Quick Check Out.
This was my first trip to this location in a very long time and I was very impressed. There are lots of choices for whatever you might need. The store is very well organized and super clean.
Such a great store. Clean, well-stocked, nice employees.
Quick service in the bty cut line. Had the fabric I needed more of 4 months later. Was very happy.
Super helpful staff and great selection. would recommend updating the app so that when youre there for curbside pickup that it pings them that you are there.
Tukwila Joann Fabrics has a very responsive staff, and the Kieran in the Framing department went above and beyond on my project, and is fun to work with!
Clean store. Beautiful displays and easy to find merchandise.
Not sure what to say, its not bad but its not good either.
We found just what we needed and the lady went above and beyond to help us.
Love this store! Theres always sales going on, they have some real beautiful seasonal decorations. The customer service is great, all you have to do is ask. They have lots of products and its a nice clean big store.
Always an adventure to come to this location. So much stuff to see and inspire.
Friendly service. Good coupon discounts
Huge selection, was able to find what I was looking for quickly and everything was very fast. Friendly associates.
Extremely easy to steal from.
Love that place. Almost always has what I need (plus things I dont hehehe)
Read the name tag, erika (cashier) so rude kept staring like i knew her in a bad way or something
I really like this store. My daughter and I enjoy looking around for all kinds of crafts.
β Accessβ wheelchair and stroller accessible, however not all the aisles are. some have very narrow spaces.βΏ ParkingβΏseveral disabled spaces up front.LGBT+ friendly/safe space? unclear to no. I have never seen a safe space sticker or poster. I never saw supporting info when I worked at a Joanns either. so, I am going to say no, even though they have anti discrimination hiring policies. it seems just for legal reasons.πͺDoors/handlesπͺI believe the only doors and handles are in the bathroom. there are scanning posts for price checks but no call buttons for areas to ask for help.π₯ Check out π€lines can be long depending on the time or day. avoid like the plague during holidays or black friday if you can. the counters are lower for easier wheelchair or people with dwafism access.π‘Lightingπ‘overhead lighting is super bright, large floor to ceiling windows up front. wear sunglasses if sensitive to light.π£Noiseπ£people working, stacking and packing, cars outside, talking, occasional shouts, it can get loud, especially if snot goblins are around. ear buds help.π»Bathroomsπ»if I remember correctly the bathrooms are push door with stalls. people with small motor skill issues might need assistance.ππΏSmellsπit is a public shopping area. there is gonna be perfume, candles, melts, possibly smelly customers, paint, etc. masks help.πͺSeatingπͺNA if you need to sit please bring your walkers or wheelchairs.π₯Staffπ₯if you can find them in the wilds of the aisles they are very helpful. there is always a ton of turn over at craft stores so I cant speak for anyone in specific but they have all been cool that I have interacted with. just please shut up if your coupon is expired or they dont have something. it is not their fault.π²Contactingπ²calls are picked up quickly. email/messaging corporate is a joke.π₯€Food/DrinksπΏthey do sell candies, sodas and water.π²Payments/Rewards π²cash, travelers checks, cards, coupons from their store. the app has digital coupons and a built in price checker!βΉWebsiteβΉit is a hot mess. it has been for years. ugh! but the app is way better.π¨Safetyπ¨cameras all over the place, from front to back. if you make an emergency call in the store there is a nearby fire station just down the street that will respond.MISC- I like this store cause it has a lot more items than other Joanns around but would like a clear answer on the LGBT+ and animal testing stands of the company.
I always love a good trip to Joann Fabrics and Crafts. I can forego other shopping but not Joanns. The things that could be improved upon are: 1) sharp cutting scissors at the cutting counter, 2) more staff, 3) improve moral, show these folks some love! Just my 2 cents.
The staff are courteous and friendly when Helping the needs of customers... The reason for the four stars was simply not having s enough stock of monks cloth, for that being the main reason I was there.
Customer service needs to be worked on... came in before closing and felt like they pushed me out... it was the first time off employees acting like that, I understand i have worked retail but you dont make people feel like they dont ever want to come back
Always a great shopping experience. Fun to see the seasonal items.
Horrible customer service. Incredibly rude. Made me feel like an inconvenience for asking a question.
I love the prices the same what they had yesterday in materials
Great selection and service!
The isles are big, bright, and bustling with beauty. Enjoy.
Very helpful lady at the fabric counter.
Friendly staff and great selection of fabric.
My go-to spot for fabric and yarn. Well organized and fantastic selection. Download the app for coupons and sales! Theres always a deal happening!
I was very impressed with the clearance sections. I got quite a lot of awesome stuff, from laundry baskets to glass pens with ink. All of it was clearance stuff! I was impressed with the staff as well. They were very professional and kind. Good store, highly recommended!
No customer service. No clerks to ask questions. When I finally located a fabric selection, found ling line of customers at cutting desk. Clerks at desk showed no indication of speeding things up.Judging by how long it took 2 customers in front of me, my wait was going to be up to 20-30 minutes.I our my fabric back and left
Love the prices and selections
All your sewing needs. Lots of great sales prices. However, there was only one person at the cutting table and a huge line waiting. After two tries, I got them to send more associates. Ended up with four people cutting! Nice!
This is my go-to for fabric and crafts. The store is usually clean, though some sections are tidier than others. The staff is generally friendly. It isnt where I go if Im in need of much in the way of fine art supplies, both for selection and price.
Lots of check-outs open today, very quick moving line. Holiday decor and ornaments are in short supply, but lots of gift kits and activities kits for kids.
Great place, better choice of fabric options than my usual JOANN. Amazing customer service at the cutting counter as well!
I was surprised how many different products they have that are not fabrics. Home decor, nick nacks, reminds me of Hobby Lobby.
Paid 500$ to have something framed. Initially the paperwork said Jan 13 for pick up... they extended it to Jan 30 due to covid (absolutely reasonable adjustment). Came in on the 30th to pick it up and it hadnt even been TOUCHED or worked on. They didnt even have the courtesy to call me about the delay. Absolutely ridiculous situation. Got a half hearted apology at best. I gave them a 2 because I used to shop at joann fabrics in vanvouver for yarn, but this location does not meet the same standards as the other. Ill be shopping at other craft stores or online from now on.
Very nice staff. Helpfyl.
A wide variety of craft supplies and fabrics. I have been coming to JOANNs for years. The staff is knowledgeable and service is generally good. I also use their coupons and app.
Great store, nice staff. Take my daughter there regularly to purchase project supplies.
Great for fabrics, poor on yarn selection, customer wanted specific colors for soon to be babys blankets, was told shipments not until January 2021, yet the shelves are 50% and the ads keep showing discounts
I dont know if I have just caught everyone at a bad time but Ive visited three times in the last month and every employee that is older than 30 is EXTREMELY RUDE- from the fabric department to the cashiers. I would prefer to shop online but their website doesnt make it easy to checkout- especially ordering fabric. I just feel like Im absolutely not welcome and I keep trying to give chances. I wish there were more craft businesses to support.
Need someone be there every time for any service and keep clean
Its clean, set up well with wide aisles. Was talking to the lady in fabrics at the cutting table. They had one covid concern last spring, shut the place down for a thorough cleaning & havent had any issues with staff with covid since. I much appreciated that information!
Shelves are almost bare this time of year but still able to find the items I needed, so Im happy! π
Love the selection of yarn. They have so much Halloween stuff! I love it
So not crowded today, November 23, 2020. Great selection of puzzles and fleece.
The store is following social distancing guidelines very well with crowd monitoring and control and clear floor markers. The staff is friendly and helpful and this location is running great discounts right now - whats not to like? They are moderately well-stocked though some items are in short supply, such as clothes irons.
The social distancing was great at the store. They limited how many people were inside the store at a time. The main thing I dont like is most of the coupons are through their app you cant use multiple coupons or rewards at the same time. So beware for all of the coupons and reward lovers out there to separate your transactions to get the most out of your money with the new coupon system.
FYI...today, Monday 6/1/2020, the store is closed to walk in customers, but you can still get curbside pickup if you order online. Yes, it can take a little while for them to answer the phone and you might have to wait a but. Be patient and thankful they have employees who are willing/able to work and are doing the best they can to take care of all the orders and deliver them to your car.
Shirts were basically empty
Open late. That was great.
The cashier helped me with a coupon, opened up quickly when line formed.Great sales.
Most holiday items in low stock. Some fabrics also low stock
This is one of the bigger stores around here it was very clean (shortly after opening) and the staff was polite
Not much merchandise employees didnt have real knowledge of different kind of paper for crafting and tshirt making
Large store. Very clean & service was very friendly. Loved the large selection of yarn. Was over charged for 2 skeins of yarn so that wasnt good. But I will return at the next good sale.
Looks like they are going out of business
This is my favorite place for my sewing needs.
There are bolts and bolts of cotton fabric again! The service at this store is friendly. They carry so many other fabrics that it is my go to fabric store.
Great place for getting pictures framed.
Very helpful and good deals, have just about everything you need.
Not a lot if helpful workers. Felt lost the whole time. You really need to know what you want and where its located to make things quick. Otherwise you will be waiting for service for about 20 mins
For me, shopping at Joanns is a love/hate experience. This store is fairly well organized and clean. The staff is generally friendly and helpful. On a local level this is a nice store. However, on a corporate level, not so much. Joanns coupon system is aggravating. You have a 40% off coupon, but it isnt good on the one item you want that is already 25% off. Coupons also come from too many sources - mail, online, time of sale (but you have to come back the next day to use it).Local stores dont order for restocking or what they think their particular customers want. Corporate just sends whatever they want. Consequently, restocking is often sporadic. As someone who makes bags using zippers, it is frustrating that certain colors and sizes of zippers are often out of stock. When it comes to fabrics and needle crafts, Joann doesnt have much local competition. I would like to see them be more sensitive to the wants and needs of their local customers.
If you have an idea, these peoole can help you bring it to life. Very friendly and very knowledgeable.
Great selection best joanns
Helpful staff. Friendly staff. So pleasant.
I was looking for art supplies. I went to a couple of other places and they didnt have what I was looking for. I was pleasantly surprised that Joanns had what I was looking for. The price was reasonable. The selection is great. The staff has always been friendly. I definitely recommend coming here for your crafting and art needs!!
Love this store. The ladies that work here are always helpful and have very pleasant attitudes.
I love JOANN Fabrics and Crafts but this place is a hit or miss. The cutting counter experience will be great if you get Amelia, and the cashier will be great if you get Molly! There are a few more wonderful cashiers but I forgot their names. Basically, this store is great if you encounter the wonderful employees. There is an older lady at the cutting counter who is not so great ( I never got her but I can see how she acts ). This is our go-to Joanns even though there is one closer to home.
Large store and have alot of stock on spots fabric that the south stores dont have. Some of the staff not very friendly towards me.
This place can screw itself. I know it is a difficult time, but having a slow check out and cutting line is only putting people at rick by keeping them in a public space longer. I expected better.I would leave zero stars if possible.
Only craft store that still has craft books and magazines!
Wow - what a variety! Huge crafting and food decorating sections. Doesnt really carry the huge selection of material we expected. We had done an online search for leather and Joanns was the most local source. But all they had was faux leather & my friend was looking for the real thing for a sewing project. Still had fun looking through the store!
This store is so awesome! Being the crazy person I am I went in to pick out the yarn I wanted to order because it was $4! (Instead not $12) online with this in store pickup coupon they had sent me. The nice lady was just like oh you can just pay in-store Ill honor the online price!! I am a happy crafter!!
Very busy as usual. Greeter are door. Shields up at registers.
Not one of my go-to places.
Love the curbside pickup option! Thank you!
Didnt have what I wanted. Ben Franklin stores are the best for crafts.
It took four tries to get through for the curbside pick up. Once it went to fax. Then two hang ups. Last time staff person found my order and brought it out quickly.
Great Mic knacks
Busy, well stocked store.
