These guys are always awesome. Really appreciate their insight and the more experienced staff are invaluable to me as a woodworker. One small observation though, for the newer or less experienced staff...stay in your lane. If you dont know just say, I dont know and grab someone that does. I sell for a living too...I know the slide-deck dump when I hear it and I know when you are making things up. I am happy to wait for information I can use to make a decision and I will make sure that you get the credit for helping me. This is minor thing and does not sway my opinion or loyalty to Rockler. No matter the level of experience of new staff or seasoned, everyone is always ready and eager to help and you can tell they enjoy being there. Kudos to our local owners!

Just a fun place to wander around in. Picked a perfect birthday present for a loved one. The sales people are always amazing.

The crew here was great to work with. I picked up a piece of machinery that most had to order, but they had it all in stock. All my questions were answered, and they assisted in loading me up. I was in and out in under 45 min. Great job team!

While I did not buy anything at this time, I will definitely return and purchase my router and sanding supplies. The staff is very informative and it is literally a candy land for wood workers. If you work wood then you have to stop in to purchase your supplies here.

Though the staff is helpful, dont have a backpack with you, they wont even ask you what your looking for before asking you to leave your bag upfront. Once they did ask me what I was looking for it was maybe 8 steps from the front register. There was nothing posted about backpacks on the doors. The issue I have with this is that when I had a large purse I wasnt asked to leave it upfront. Not going to give a one star rating for this but I would hope that having a backpack doesnt immediately label you suspicious.

Very helpful staff. Going there a lot lately; redoing a bathroom. They carry General Finishes paint, which is expensive but so worth it. Clean, organized store, fully stocked. Love it. 👍🏼

Rockler Tukwila has become a vital part of all my projects. Over several years, I’ve gotten to know the staff and appreciate their expertise and willingness to help me figure out what I need to know to make whatever project I’m working on a success.In particular - David, Robert, and Jack are a joy to work with. They each help dozens of different customers each day, but have all taken the time to get to know me, know what tools and equipment I have, and what my skill set involves. This knowledge shapes the way they recommend products and materials for my projects. I’m a much better woodworker for having the Tukwila Rockler team in my corner.

Initially I was a bit put off as I had been watching for a tool which became featured in the post holiday ads and I called to check on availability. I was told there were several in the store and they would still be there . Twenty minutes later on arrival I found they had been sold. I should have put my name on one and not depended on the info I had been given. My bad. I called to order it by phone from the warehouse and the seller was very nice, explaining to me that the local store needs to be supported, now especially and that I should hold off a couple days to allow the store to get a shipment in which would probably contain what I wanted. I had to agree. I prefer to shop local (though these days almost all my buying is online with the virus and all). Two days later I called the store, put my name on one and picked it up twenty minutes later. I appreciate the way the customer service rep dealt with this. I am also very pleased with the product itself.

This company sent me an empty package through Amazon this spring and refused to make it right.

My personal experience was fine. However my visit to the store was with a co-worker (Greg Seipel). Greg ordered a Laguna LED lathe light on the stores computer. He was told if he ordered at the store his shipping charges would be waived. They were not. More importantly it was not until a few days later that he was told via email that the light he ordered was not in stock and would not be available until April. He said that no where on the instore computer did it tell him that the product was out of stock. Had that been the case he would have waited until April to order. Very disconcerting.

I found it insulting that they would not accept my check. If you dont accept any checks, why not say so on your website? Why wait until you drive 1/2 hr to get there, and then find they wont accept your payment. I had to go get cash to avoid a wasted trip. They have lost all my future business.

Rockler of tukwila, I’ve visited this store countless of times throughout the last few years because unfortunately it’s the closest wood working store to my house. And if I could have rated this review 0 stars. I would have. Because without a doubt every single time I visit this store, I go out of my way to ask for assistance from absolutely ANY one except jade. Because the crass, rude, and appalling customer service she has. I asked for the availability of a product that my favorite wood store (Woodcraft of seattle) has, the response: “yeah I make my own I’m guessing just go online or something if you can’t make yours” This is one of the many swift unsatisfactory revolting comments I receive and to just put a cherry on top. As we are leaving my boss who went with me to the store was accused of stealing as we just spent $200 at the store. If I could advise anyone to just go out of your way to go to woodcraft of Seattle spend the 30+ mins and DO IT. The gentleman there are so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable about wood, turning, and many alternatives. And Rockler, you surprise me at how you guys still have buisness because my coworkers have all had the same experience. Best of luck.

This place was great! I called looking for an item late in the afternoon. The person on the phone was not only helpful, they pulled it off the shelf and set it aside for me to pick up the next day since I wouldnt be able to get in before they closed. I showed up the next morning and they had it ready and waiting. The store manager was incredibly helpful and went out of his way to assist me when I asked about a table saw they had on display.

This location is very different from the former Tukwila location, and the Northgate Rockler. Extremely disorganized, piles of cardboard boxes everywhere, and staff that have no interest whatsoever in assisting customers.I asked a staff member if they sold scroll saws, and she looked at me like I came from Mars . Asked another one if I could buy a radius hand plane from the the display case, and the reply was, no, we are out of those No offer to sell me the display model or order one in.I would be ashamed to be the manager of this branch, and will never set foot in here again.

Awesome woodworking and tool store!Not huge, but a ton of selection for the size. Many specialty tools, lathes, cnc, laser engraving, and many other tools and hardware! If youre afraid of spending too much $, its dangerous. 😉

I am very impressed with the staff and store manager, Robert, at Rocklers in Tukwila. Every time I go in I am greeted by friendly and courteous staff. Theyre helpful and knowledgeable. I visit the store about every 6 to 8 months and Robert always seems to recognize me. This last time I went in Robert was in the middle of unloading a large shipment but gladly stopped to answer some of my questions. He ended up asking me about what type of projects I make. I shared with him my interest in wood-turning but have always been a bit nervous since I have no experience. He recommended a class they host this Saturday which I have signed up for. Im very excited for the opportunity and will continue shopping at this location!

I was at the Tukwila store mid day after picking my wife up from the airport, store was not busy, in fact it was me and one other customer.No one greeted me coming in (2 employees working), I bought some plywood and a few other items.It took 3 trips to my truck, no one offered to help me load my itemsI think I will stick with mail order.

Very knowledgeable and nice. Its a breath of fresh air to talk to people who really know what they are talking about. They explained options and processes to me in a way I could understand. I am barely a novice. - I was excited they had cutting board kits so I could make one as a gift. They offer a military discount on some items too. Seriously, come check them out.

The staff at Rockler are so knowledgeable, engaging and helpful. It is a joy to have a project that requires some of their expertise. They are patient and responsive and a rare type of old-fashioned hardware store kind.

I have been to other Rockler stores but this one really made me mad. I walked in with my family to get some router jigs and to see about getting a sawstop from them. Before I had done that I decided to browse around to check out what else I might be interested in and the whole time all the employees are constantly watching my every move like I am a thief or something and kept constantly nonchalantly following me around. When I asked them if they had a particular item the employee was rude and said if it wasnt on the shelf then we dont have it. After this experience I will not be buying from rockler again.

I recently bought a Bosch router set at the store, but after xmas, only the display model was available. Mike was great and located the case and parts. When I got home, I found a collet was missing. The next day the store manager, Robert was able to find the missing part, no questions asked. Great store with the good stuff and knowledgeable helpful staff!

Bigger brighter space to move around a beautiful new store

The people at Rockler were super nice, even though I showed up with 5 kids and one of the was a two year old.We had a great time exploring the store and each of the boys picked out a project to work on. We ended up with 4 knife kits (and the scales for the handles) and an ice cream scoop kit for the 2 year old.The boys couldnt wait to get started on their knife kits today!

I hit up this Rockler every time I get over to the west side of the mountains, its always one of the high points of my trip. Neat store, with a great selection. Usually prices that are quite competitive, although the Woodcraft up north a bit can often give them a run for their money.Darn good shop, if youre in the area its definitely worth poking your head in and looking around. Its a fair bit larger inside than the storefront appears!

This Rockler has an easy find location and tons of parking available! Staff gets 5 Stars for knowledge and helpfulness! The quality and service is typical of other Rocklers I have patronized in the Indianapolis, Indiana and Orange, California locations! Great job Rockler!

Great customer service, and a great selection of tools and hardware. Its a small store with an overwhelming selection of great products to help you complete just about any woodworking project. With a huge selection of domestic and exotic woods, its hard to leave once youve been in.

My toy store! Rockler has so much cool stuff you probably never knew existed. Many original jigs and tools you cant find anywhere else. Tools and supplies can be a little pricey but they have excellent prices on woodworking lumber and plywood
