I knew the Make, Model and approx year of the car I wanted to purchase. After reading Nelson Mazda reviews I reached out to them for my pre owned vehicle.I actually would like to leave 4.5 stars out of 5 and here are the following reasons; they would not allow me to test drive the vehicle to my mechanic for a thorough inspection but was assured I would have 3 days/300 hundred miles to return the car if I was unsatisfied. I purchased the vehicle and drove it directly to my Honda repairman who performed an inspection. There were some repairs needed and some maintenance issues needing to be addressed.I returned the following Monday morning with the vehicle and they evaluated the inspection report and agreed to do most of the necessary items.All in all the people I dealt with showed integrity in their dealings. I think moving forward they should re-evaluate not allowing the consumer to have their vehicle inspected prior to purchase. Consumers are incredibly savvy these days and have access to information at their fingertips. The next customer that comes in the door may walk away from the purchase if prevented from having a technician they are comfortable with evaluate their potential vehicle.My salesman Al and the sales manager have my respect for making good on the assurance they are a business that operates with faith based standards. Thank you!

I bought my first new car here and I wouldnt do that if I didnt feel the place was honest. I felt they wanted me as a life time customer and would be there for me after the sale, not only when I was in to purchase.Mate was the salesman beginning to end. No extra finance department to talk you into something you cant afford or what they have on the lot.He listened to what I wanted and never deterred me. Bought two cars here and was an excellent experience each time. We were in and out within an hour. They advertise service loaners but they are unavailable often which is disappointing. We just plan on waiting for our cars or having a ride set up. Free car washes for life at Launch is a great perk. Everyone is always very friendly.
I just want to start off by saying that Candice in finance deserves a huge raise. She has went above and beyond helping me. I was in a complicated situation and she did everything possible to help me. I honestly wanted to cry because these people took care of me like no other place has. I am from NWA area and I will ONLY do my car shopping here. The people here will take care of you like no other place will. I can honestly say this place has exceptional customer service. Please give Candice a raise she deserves every penny of it.

Really great experience! I loathe car shopping. I hate the games and fake buddy/buddy talk but our guy, Bernard, was amazing. Friendly but believably friendly. No games, straight and to the point. He was very helpful in helping up makeing decisions that would suit us best. Never did I feel like my/our best interest was not being considered. They are also great with kids here. We were offered snacks and a huge bonus for me is that you get FREE CAR WASHES FOR LIFE! I mean, can you really beat that?! We were given top dollar for our trade in and a really great price on the car we fell in love with. I am extremely happy with our service and vehicle. 10/10 highly recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐💯
God awful! Worst experience of my whole life. The sales people breathe down your neck everywhere you go, and the inside looks like an episode of Hoarders. They sold me a used Mazda3 without getting the title. A couple months later, after calling several times I was informed that the car had a lien on it and I was forced to return it! The complete idiocy of salesman Ron Murray will make you question your belief in an intelligent creator.
I cant say enough about Alex and Mate at Nelson Mazda and the way they do business there. We live about 2 hours away and found a used Audi A6 there. Worked with them over the phone and text messages and they were incredibly responsive, upfront and friendly. The day before we were to pick the car up, they contacted me and said they had found an issue with the AC on the car and would have to delay delivery so they could fix the issue. This alone impressed me beyond expectations...most places would have probably just ignored the AC issue and delivered the car. Not only did they let us know about it and try to fix it, they ended up taking it to the local Audi dealership to finally get the repair done, which Im again reasonably confident most other dealers would have ignored the issue or tried to gloss over it at this point.We took delivery of the vehicle and all went smoothly, quickly and enjoyable.About a week after we got the call, my son got a flat on it. When he went to put the spare on, we found that the spare had been shredded. The tread was literally separated from the rest of the tire for about 12 inches. The next day I texted them a pic of the spare and Mate immediately responded and said hed talk to his manager about making it right. Within less than 10 minutes he contacted me and said if I wanted to find a replacement, purchase it and sent them the receipt, they would reimburse me for the cost of the replacement spare.I was more than pleased with this solution! Again, on a used car purchase, most dealers would have washed their hands completely as soon as the vehicle is off their lot, but not Nelson Mazda!Incredibly pleasant experience! Everyone was the epitome of professionalism and they went way above and beyond on the AC issue and even further above and beyond on the spare tire!Thanks Alex and Mate for a great buying experience! Id recommend Nelson Mazda without any reservations whatsoever!

By far the best car buying experience I have ever had. It’s atypical, in a good way though. We worked with Desmond through the entire process, literally start to finish. Normally, when one buys a car you have to battle your way through different levels of bosses until you reach the end and receive the keys to your new vehicle. Not at Nelson Mazda, start to finish sane person, no pressure, and the amenities make easy to devote some necessary time there. The aforementioned experience, coupled with how great my Mazda is in general (vehicle performance, user interface of apps, reliability, etc.) assures me that I’ve found my dealer and my vehicle. I’m ready for the for the day we can get a Mazda truck in the US again, count me in.
This is the second car I have bought from Nelson Mazda, and I would without a doubt buy third one from them in the future! If you can, ask for Aaron. He was great from start to finish and always responsive to any questions I had. Aaron, with assistance from JR made trading my car and getting my new one a very smooth process.
We purchased a Vehicle on Friday and was told we would be able to pick it up on Monday after they detailed and serviced it. Called Monday to see if it was ready and was told they dont work on Saturdays so It would be a few more days. We were not updated at anytime what was going on or when the vehicle was ready. I called on Wednesday to see if it was ready and it was. Went to get the vehicle and told us we didnt give them the title for the trade in we did. Then we leave to find out there was no tag put on the Vehicle. We had to go back and get a tag put on. It was fast purchasing the Vehicle but the rest was a headache.
Lucky find for me! I got this delivered out of state and worked with Josh Daugherty at Nelson. He was my only contact and did everything! He made videos and took fotos of the car. Coordinated all paperwork, discussed relevant options as well. Very honest and efficient, great response to texts and emails. What a pleasure buying from Josh and Nelson Mazda. Highly recommend. I usually don’t bother with reviews but this experience deserved a mention.

Very poor experience, drug out over the course of a week and a half. If you like dishonesty, unfulfilled promises, and inflated price quotes - this is your dealership! Also some of their 1-star ratings seem to have disappeared… DealerRater has them at a more accurate rating of 2.9 (still too high).
Took car in for service and diagnostics. $130 diagnostic fee is supposedly waived if you opt to have the issues they find fixed.Diagnosis: An unplugged wire behind door panel and corrosion build up affecting voltage output of battery caused car to lose power while driving.Cost of service:oil change - $70battery service - $32.00plugging in the loose wire - $130.00When questioned, we were told that the diagnostic fee was waived but plugging the wire back in cost exactly $130.00. Not to mention they did this service without giving us the option to turn it down like all the others. Additionally, It was never sufficiently explained how a loose wire in a door caused my car to lose power while driving after being unplugged for months. Clearly making a stretch to justify collecting the diagnostic fee.How can any diagnosis or the quality of service be trusted after such a transparent cash grab?

I went to this dealership for my first servicing appointment. Each time I have been here the employees have been very helpful and welcoming. They explained the process of what all the technician checks, and the technician sends a video walk around explaining everything that they have noticed and what they suggest needs repaired or replaced. They have not pushed for me to buy anything extra or to replace anything. The service department employees are very helpful and make sure I know what is happening with my car. I also like that they give a complementary car wash with each scheduled service. This dealership has given me an awesome car buying experience and I am definitely going to refer friends and family members to buy from them because of how helpful and welcoming they always are each time I am there. I highly suggest working with Elijah Davis because he is the one I worked with when looking for my dream car and he kept an eye out for me and kept me updated on cars they had on their lot that might interest me and kept the pricing in my range. Most dealerships try to pressure you to buy cars from them, especially knowing you are a first time car buyer, but at Nelson Mazda they wanted to make sure I got the car I wanted and were very helpful to get me in this vehicle. I definitely recommend Nelson Mazda because of how helpful and friendly their employees are.

UPDATE: The general manager went above and beyond to make sure we were 150% happy with the situation. It wasn’t their fault the warranty wasn’t covered but they still helped us out.Had a wonderful car buying experience multiple times. The downfall is we have always bought the extended car warranty but never had to use it until this week. We bought a Toyota Tundra, was never informed you could not modify the vehicle or the warranty would be voided. We had a professional company lift the truck and put wheels on it and now the warranty is not going to pay to fix the truck and we will be out over $4000. PLEASE do your research before purchasing the warranty OR before modifying a vehicle. If we had known, we would have done things different. I now know I need to ask these questions before, but I am just sad that we will not have a family vacation this year due to this added expense.
With a new baby and a two door sports car, we knew it was time to upgrade. I worked with the Salesman Elijah Davis. He was the best salesman I have worked with at any dealership when looking for a car. He didnt push for me to get a car and I came back multiple times to look at different cars. He was just as friendly and helpful each time I came back and always gave good advice for me as a first time car buyer. Each time I was there he seemed to try to connect with us as customers. He helped me find my dream car and open up my search from only looking for one type of car and he got me in an amazing car.

This review is edited. After leaving my review the dealership got in touch with me. And I see in other reviews it looks like theyre pretty good about reaching out and trying to make things right, but that isnt why Im changing my review; truth is the situation I had wasnt their fault, and they were only trying to help, but when they took the time out to point out some things I didnt understand, I wrote a nasty review. Basically the modern mans equivalent of throwing a tantrum, I suppose.My issue has yet to be resolved, but Im still working with Nelson Mazda (in partnership with Nelson Nissan), and regardless of the outcome they deserve the five stars. Not only for reaching out, but just because on reflecting on my time there, they were the most genuine dealership I had ever worked with, and they were only trying to help me.I wont go into elaborate detail of the situation, but in a nutshell I was trying to sell a vehicle I had bought from a less-than-stellar dealership, and my frustrations with THAT dealership bled over into my review of Nelson Mazda. Everyone at Nelson Mazda is friendly, but not that overtly fake-nice you get at a lot of places. They have a gorgeous lot (its so busy with customers that it was difficult to find a parking spot, so that tells you theyre doing something right, right?) and their cars look immaculate. I made the bold, uncharitable claim in my previous review that their Christian values were a façade, but truth is my behavior was unjust and my review abhorrent, and Im genuinely ashamed of it; especially since I tout myself as a devout Christian myself.Again, while they did reach out, they never asked me to change my review. They didnt even bring it up. Im doing it because they deserve the 5-stars. And when the time comes when Im looking for a new car, Im coming here! I know there are a lot of snake oil salesmen out there, but everyone at Mazda were great.So apologies for my initial review! And thanks for being a gleaming beacon of how to conduct business in a world where everyones trying to put one over on ya.
Just want to give a HUGE shout out to the team up at NMT! One night I showed interest in a car, the next day I was already on call with them about it! Clay was my salesman through the entire process. Clay was very willing to answer questions and answer my calls. I 10/10 recommend Clay, and the rest of the team! I pulled into the parking lot, only to be welcomed be two employees. Doors were opened for me, free drinks were provided, and great hospitality.All that to say... They sold me a wonderful car! Price and mileage was outstanding! I have gotten a few of my vehicle’s preventive maintenance done at Nelson Mazda of Tulsa. I have had the most positive experience each time. The staff is amazing. I have worked with Ashley and Lauren in the service department. They are so sweet! The technicians who have worked on my vehicle have been very professional in showing my vehicle during video recordings and it has created a sense of security that they have taken the time to show me the work. I highly recommend this service department to anyone! Thank you

2020 cx 30 we bought here new now with just 9000 miles on it AC is not working wifes car wife called now she gets to sweat a week till they can get it in .... NEW CAR ridiculous .also took it in for its second oil change they told us the air ducts would need cleaned 140 plus bucks dont recommend pathetic NEW CAR 8000 miles of IN TOWN DRIVING and needs 140 plus to clean . Update AC fixed replaced blown o ring and replaced the other three or four as well plus manager has called several times to talk about issues weve just been way to busy the last couple of weeks .My final thought on this is before you buy a Mazda think about these two things AC problems at 9,000 miles and second there is only two mazda dealers in Oklahoma that google shows tulsa and okc so not much of a choice

I just bought a CX-30 here, and the experience was amazing from start to finish. My salesperson, Velvet, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful every step of the way. I came in and test drove this vehicle a few weeks ago, and she was never pushy about trying to sell to me like other car salespeople usually are. She answered any questions I had and made sure I was getting the best deal possible.
So, long story short... Ive purchased three vehicles from this dealership, over the span of 20 years, and this will likely be the last one because of lack of communication and disrespect, on this last purchase. Yep, I tried to get someone to talk with me, but I received no response, so I will leave a one-star review so the dealership can see it. Maybe someone will respond here, or via email. They are welcome to email me since I just picked up our vehicle on 06/18 and Im sure they still have my information.
I purchased a mazada 3 eleven months ago from Bill Knight Ford. I was told at the time of purchase that Bill Knight did not work on Mazadas, so i have allowed Nelson Mazada in Tulsa, Ok to maintain the scheduled maintenance. Today, i took my car in for an oil change and was told I needed an engine tune up. I was very puzzled because I had that completed at Nelson Mazada when my vehicle reached 75,000 miles as recommended and paid over $550 to have this completed back in May 2021. I asked to speak to the technician to see why he would recommend the engine tuneup and was denied and told the technicians are to busy to speak with customers. I then raised the issue of his recommendation and what did I actually pay for(engine tuneup) in May. I ask to speak with the service manager and she(Jenny) gave another lame excuse. And Geoff began to take ownership of the miscommunication. I dont trust them and will be having my car inspected to see if any of the almost $2000 worth of work i had done since November 2020 has actually been completed. Nelson Mazada gained my trust, but now i am finding out they are very deceptive. I am a woman who knows very little about cars! It appears that i have been swindled out of money because i am nor knowledgeable.

*UPDATE 3* They have repaired the vehicle as they agreed to when I purchased it. I would shop here again. Especially with Jake Davidson in Sales.I recently purchased a used vehicle from Nelson Mazda. It was going to be a Christmas present for my wife. I had saved and planned to make this a special Christmas. The vehicle was beautiful but had one major flaw, at low rpm the steering is very hard to turn. I negotiated for them to repair the steering and I would purchase the vehicle. We signed the deal and I went home happy. It was awesome! Christmas went great and my wife was super happy. UNTIL I call to schedule the work and they tell me I only had 30 days from purchase to have all the WE OWES completed.... I was never told this, I received no paperwork on this. Im flabbergasted!! My Dad taught me that if you agree to something, you live up to it. NOT rely on shady dealings, fine print, and legalese to get out of living up to your end of the bargain. Shop elsewhere if integrity and honor are important to you!
I had what I am hoping is an atypical buying experience and am writing this review so others can better manage their expectations going in. They have a seemingly disingenuous openness about the buying experience with a lot of talk about how great they are and very little action to back it. I found in the end they will say what they need to to make a sale so I guess just be aware that if you put a deposit on an incoming vehicle it will be there 10 days after whatever date they give you, be sure to get your sales persons card so you can contact them in the instance that you dont hear from them after a few days, and if you dont like to make huge financial decisions on the fly ask about their add on offers up front so you can allow the appropriate time to consider them.On the plus side they allow you to test drive by yourself and the facility is clean and modern if that is something you value. I am sure that I would have had a completely different experience if the vehicle I wanted was in stock originally but as it is what started as an exciting and hopeful car buying experience turned into a two and a half week nightmare, which is unfortunate since they are the only Mazda dealership in the area.Editing to add that I got my title today and while I was told they met the truck in OKC so they could drive my car to Tulsa the reality is that they bought it from another dealer in OKC. Which I guess in the grand scheme isnt that big of a deal but I will never fully understand why they unnecessarily chose to misrepresent the situation. It makes me wonder what else they were not fully truthful about regarding my vehicle.
I had a full and stressful day or car shopping until I made my way to Nelson Mazda. The previous dealership I had been at didn’t treat me well and pushed for me to purchase a car I wasn’t truly happy with. My boyfriend called Nelson Mazda about 45 minutes before they closed and they were more than happy to let me test drive the car I had seen on their website earlier that week, even with it being so late. I drove the car and absolutely fell in love. Bernard Abellar stayed LATE and slowly walked me through all of the information and explained everything thoroughly, as it was my first time purchasing a car. He frequently stopped to make sure I didn’t have any questions; he wanted to make sure I knew exactly what I was getting into! And there was absolutely NO PRESSURE. He treated me like he was there to help get me into my dream car instead of just “pushing another sale”. Bernard was amazing from before the purchase, to during the purchase, and after. He showed me six different payment plans in order to ensure I got the payment I wanted. He even got it LOWER than the budget I had set for him! I walked away incredibly happy with the car and confident that I knew everything I needed to about purchasing a vehicle. The next day I realized I had forgotten my college parking permit in my old car that I had traded in to Nelson Mazda. I was able to contact Bernard and he reassured me that he would track down my (very expensive) permit and get it to me as quick as possible. Mind you it was a Sunday, so Bernard helped me through all of this on his day off! I would recommend Bernard Abellar to EVERYONE. He was patient, knowledgeable, and truly cared about my experience as his customer. If you find your dream car at Nelson Mazda, do yourself a favor and ask for Bernard!

I would recommend them for they dont push you towards buying a car, they want whats best for you. I would buy from them again!
Ive bought both of my vehicles at Nelson Mazda, and everyone seems really friendly. If they dont know something, theyre quick to find out. Theres always water, coffee, and snacks to choose from while youre waiting. You can call ahead and schedule a test drive, which makes the process go a lot quicker. Sales people are no longer on commission, they are paid a salary, and will no longer push more expensive cars on you. Ive been pleased with both of my experiences.
This place is fantastic. I was buying a vehicle sight unseen from 1500 miles away, but luckily my salesperson Velvet Garcia was phenomenal to deal with. She took me through every step of the process, answering all of my questions, sending great information, photos, and personalised videos of the car - such a class operation.Can’t recommend dealing with these guys highly enough.

The care she took in understanding what I was looking for, keeping her eye open for a car for me, keeping me informed, being willing to communicate with me by Facebook messenger when I lost my phone service, keeping me in the loop on the status of car readiness, and the actual purchasing of the car, was far beyond anything I even thought to hope for. Flew one way to Tulsa to check out a car I found listed online. I was able to easily stay in touch with Clay throughout the whole process from the time I first called to the time I left the dealership with my new car. Landed at the airport and stayed overnight in a hotel, the next day Clay was even nice enough to pick me up from the hotel and give me a ride to the dealership. We test drove the car, gave it a good lookover and we were done with paperwork all within a couple hours. 10/10 would recommend getting in touch with Clay if youre looking for a new car! Painless process and he was willing to answer any questions I had and make sure I understood everything. Great job guys!

Clay is amazing. I’m a numbers, and details person. I know how much I can spend, I had a budget, like most of us in life. If I didn’t know what something meant, or if I was confused about any small detail, I would ask Clay, and he would literally stop whatever he was doing and made sure there was no further confusion. I didn’t sign anything until I saw what my final reg monthly payment was going to be, and Clay was so patient, and you wouldn’t even know he was trying, he was completely patient w me. He molded and sculpted the warranty to fit my driving habits, he was thorough and told me every minute detail that was going into my monthly payment, and to top it all off, he made sure that since my back had been out, that I was comfortable sitting, and standing. I can’t think of a better dealership to buy any other vehicle. Even the other sales people I crossed paths with, complimented me on the car I purchased. I love Nelson Mazda! Amazing service, great service advisors, really like the video of complimentary free inspection. Pointed out possible problems that I was unaware of and when they should be fixed. For dealership service departments, they are hands down the best Ive dealt with.
I have had Mazda car since 2013, a great product. I had an emergency with the car and missed work today. I took it to the Mazda dealership in Tulsa, OK. I was told 6 days before they will be able to check my car. This is not the first time, it also happened in a different state. Mazdas customer service is extremely poor after you buy their cars. Buyers beware and take note. Walmart was able to help.

I talked to Velvet and told her the exact same thing i told the others and within 30 minutes she not only had me the perfect car, I had the perfect financing and my payment was much lower than i expected! I went in yesterday for my scheduled oil change appointment and was well greeted by Grace and Lauren who took such good care of myself and my daughter as always. Service department is very professional and friendly (especially Geoff). Typically very quick to get me in and out. They send you a video via text from the technician showing any inspections they do or issues they find. You can then choose online what service you want done and what you want to pass on, which speeds things up. The dealership is newly remodeled and and theres a lot of nice seating if youre going to wait. Theyll give you a voucher for a car wash thats around the corner. Highly recommended.
We made the decision to purchase our car on Saturday morning. We knew we wanted a CX-5 and Clay listened to our specific needs in a vehicle. The process was extremely easy and comfortable. We had a great experience working with Velvet at the dealership. Overall such an easy process since theyve changed their process and the salesman are salary now. We werent there very long at all. The new makeover the facilities recently had done is so nice as well. Very comfortable environment. We cant wait to go back to get us another family car from Velvet!

This whole experience was wonderful!! From the moment I walked in, I was treated with the utmost respect and excellent customer service. Their entire process felt almost seamless, and throughout, each person led out with a definite servants heart- which I really appreciate. Velvet Garcia, my salesperson, was not only professional, but just seemed to intuitively know what I really needed and wanted. (Though she is my daughter, I cant say enough for her knowledge level and authenticity in also involving her sales supervisors and financial office team at just the right moments.) They truly made a believer out of me!
Initially I left a rough review out of frustration but fortunately this has editing enabled so I can better reflect my thoughts.When you purchase a used vehicle it’s as is. I know that but for the time and situation a new one was not the best use of resources for my family in regards to my purchase. Dealerships typically inspect and repair up to a certain point issues that are found when taking a trade in or from the auction. The vehicle we purchased appeared to have had some items missed that I assumed are obvious if that inspection is performed.My initial review didn’t allow for any action to be taken by the dealership and since the GM called me from their personal cell phone I have a responsibility to follow up with readers to better understand how Nelson Mazda operates and what a future client can expect way after the sale.Tom (GM) reached out to me to discuss the issues. As stated above it’s a used car and he could have taken this back to purchase documents and stood by the as-is acceptance of the vehicle. Fortunately for me, and I would assume he would do this for anyone that purchases from here, he took the initiative to re-inspect the vehicle and provide a report of what is present. They do not have to do this but they are, even considering the issue at hand could be after the fact of the purchase. I am very confident it was pre existing but also we should consider the fact I am the buyer.I could update this later after all is resolved, but what comes of it in the future is outside this review. Bottom line is learn from me and just call them if you have an issue even down the road. There is no guarantee it will be resolved to either party’s satisfaction, but they will do what’s right to get to that point and that is more than one can expect when buying as-is used vehicles.

Most car dealers in the Tulsa area deserve 2 stars, trust me, after buying cars for over 50 years from Subaru to BMW and Mazda to Mercedes, so on and so on. Mazda gets 4 for being above the average. No complaints about the sales people staffing the dealership. I highly recommend Nelson Mazda for young people to buy a car or suv. This senior citizen couple bought a lovely new Mazda CX5 Grand Touring. From the tires up...made in Japan..a big plus.
