I used to work here long ago, the founder Barry Bilder literally took an old abandoned hotel in an undesirable part of town, and with a truck full of books started by renting one room at a time, eventually managed to acquire the entire building. He opened the first legitimate massage business, writing the rules for becoming a practioner here in Tulsa. Incorporated a health food store, and rented out a section of the building to Chimis. He refurbished the entire building and brought much needed heart into an abandoned section of Tulsa. He established the Church of Holistic Sciences, offering free steam and sauna services to those looking to cleanse and heal their bodies without pharmacudical products. He traveled all across the country collecting unique books and started the first herbal remedy access section in the area. While its true he can sometimes come across as a bit harsh, hes standing up for his vision of what he wants people to gain from his stores. I was appalled to learn of some coo staged by his former partners to remove him from the business and spiritual hub he founded, which not only reinvigorated that building the whole area the whole neighborhood now known as Cherry Street started to improve because of him and his energy and work that he put in to the business. I loved Peace of Mind Aquarian age massage and working with the people and the energy that was there and the things that I learned but now if you look at the building it looks sad like its hard as missing and I cant bring myself to even go shop there anymore.

After a bad experience at another shop, we came by here as our last stop of the day and thank goodness this shop is awesome. I picked up a few things here too and I loved their huge selection of books. My friend ended up getting a reading while we were here and he loved it! He hadnt had one in a long time and he said that it was one of the best hed had. We will absolutely be back!

Great little place just like I remembered it from the 90s when I lived closer. Im glad I was able to take my daughter shopping there, she really enjoyed it and got herself a new deck. I got a great book about theology on sale for $3 and some NAG CHAMPA incense (which are the best by far in my opinion.)

It gives you an air of comfort and safety and they have all types of books! They also sell incense and so much more!

I went here for the first time a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it! It had a super welcoming atmosphere and the books covered a wide range of topics, from books on Christianity to books on Celtic practices and and Norse mythology! I definitely recommend going here if you have a friend that practices witchcraft or is simply interested in it!

Peace of Mind is one of my favorite store to ever visit. Cherry Street is very luck to have them! Ive missed visiting the store since I moved, but when I go back for a visit I will be going back to see everyone at Peace of Mind. My favorite thing is the book selection and Herb Room. Their selection of pendulums is fair and I love the different types of stones that they have for sell as well. I recommend going to the sauna while youre there as well or getting a message to help you relax.

A must stop shop every time were in Tulsa! Get a book then head down the street to the coffee shop for a read 😘

We love going to this store. Their novelties like drinking games and other games for couples.Their clothing takes me back to my college years! Some things never go out of style.Candles, luminaries, and other items in mood lighting are reasonable. Blacklights, grow lights, and their color change light bulbs are great in childrens rooms. There is so much in this little store.

Looking for a great book, a massage by certified clean therapists, essential oils, tarot, incense, you name it. I get some of my best stuff here. The people are friendly and informative and the prices are reasonable. Ive been looking for a place like this for a while. So glad I found them. The gift store on the ground level is only the beginning, youve got to go upstairs too!

Ive been going to peace of mind for over 26 years. One of the very few places I like to go and one of the few places I trust.

They had posted they’d be open at 2:30 Sunday but they still didn’t have the doors open after waiting for 15 minutes. Wish they would have left a not or posted online they weren’t gonna be open at that time.

My complaint with this shop is that when you go into the herb room they go in after you or they watch you like a hawk as if you are going to steal something. I did not appreciate that. I was just getting some herbs that were already bagged up. The selection of books is good although I did ask if they had anything on Hoodoo and the woman looked at me like I was crazy. Hoodoo aka Rootwork is a definite type of magic and is something that that bookstore should carry in my opinion. For that reason, I give it 3 stars. The tarot cards are also way overpriced, Find the deck you want, write it down and then buy it on Amazon. Save yourself $5-$10.

Bought my first deck of tarot cards here - the Robin Wood deck. The man was helpful inside. I also bought some sage to burn in my home.

Went there looking for cedar, sage, sweetgrass. Found some, those were reasonable even being out of Season. I also bought some other incense, a book of Bruce Lee fighting techniques, a necklace, alter cloth, and several other insensese. Myrrh, bloodroot, moneydraw and I know of several others. I bought some things, they have a great selection of trying please the tastes of their customers.

Good incense and herbs supply. Sometimes kind of stuck of employees, but for the most part ok atmosphere.

I havent lived in Tulsa for over a decade but I remember going to this place often. The staff was always friendly and helpful to the curious teen in their shop.

The shop downstairs and the bookstore do NOT have the same hours! Google shows the time for the shop. The upstairs closes hours earlier. The shop used to have more in it than it seems to now. The bookstore used to have a very uncomfortable feeling, but I cant get to the bookstore before it closes, so I no longer have an opinion on it.
