Prices on shelf dont match price at the register, most of the evening shift is unknowledgeable, the cashier wanted to charge me 5.99 a piece for a closed bag of wire ties when the bar code on the shelf said 3.99 a bag but charged me 5.99 for the bag, the t post barcode said 6.99 but wanted to charge me 8.99. the cashier didnt want to work they wanted to stand around and chit chat amongst each other then act like it was a problem to ring stuff up and give attitude. The management needs to crack down and make sure the employees work instead raise prices and chit chat.

This store has all your needs under one roof. Great prices great customer service. Everything i need to run my business is right here no long lines ppl know where things are. Honestly i chose them over the bigger places any day i actually travel a little xtra just to support them. Thank never a bad service yet.two thumbs up.

I stopped by this store to get some grass seed and at first thought the store was closed because there were hardly any cars in the parking lot. I then went in and again, I felt like the lone ranger because there were no customers to speak of. I ended up going to another store because sutherlands wanted around 8 bucks more than Lowes (maybe thats why it was dead) I feel this store might be going the way of the dodo.

Store layout is odd, for example they have a hardware section for nuts bolts and screws...but another screw section in lumber. These I guess are for screws that go into lumber?Also, not very friendly when asked about locations of things.

Plenty of items out of stock, it was extremely hard to find an employee working there. I eventually found one and he was very knowledgeable and helpful on finding the item I was looking for. Who would of guessed a saw chain replacement would be literally right were you walk in?

I like Sutherlands. They have a good variety of vegetable plants. Early birds get them cheap at .79 for 4 small plants.

I shop a lot at Lowes and Home Depot. I thought Southerlands would cost more but was pleasantly surprised. They had door size that the others dont carry. The price was still competitive. Im glad I didnt wait for the others to order it and wait for its arrival. Store personnel were very helpful!!

Terrible!!! I ran to Sutherlands to pick up something for a project. Pulled in the parking lot at 7:42 pm on a Monday evening and they were closed. The sign on the door says open till 8:00 pm but they were not open. This has happened numerous times. Dont waste your time just drive on to Lowes.

Like the Walmart of hardware stores, except where you can find workers to help you find something. Lumber, weird screws, good cheap flooring, plants, cliothng, furniture. You get the idea.

I know that the prices here are a little more than big box stores, but during this pandemic, I figured that it would be a little safer to shop at a less populated store. Ive shopped there 5 times since the beginning of the pandemic and every visit the rules get a little more lax. Only 2 employees were wearing masks yesterday and no one was enforcing the mask mandate. Ive worked in retail for years, so I know this will fall on deaf ears, but I will try my best to not shop here any longer and let people know that during this pandemic, anyone concerned with their health shouldnt either.

Too close not to go look. As usual, the help is all up front. Leaves you searching by yourself. Would have shopped for tile, during there summer sale. But, a lot of it was not priced, and no help around.

Great place to get flowers this spring! Every Saturday they have amazing deals on flowers and plants. I got a beautiful hanging put off impatiens for $4.99 and a set of 4 spaghetti squash plants for only $.79!! Such a great deal!!

Most often have what I need. And prices are cheaper than the big box companies. This place is more like an old school type of lumber yard than the others.

An employee named Adam just gave me the worst customer service experience Ive ever had. I asked for a bale of hay but meant to ask for straw. Im not a farmer so I dont know the difference. The attendant at the cash register said that Adam would load it for me. I noticed the green color of the bale but before I could ask him to switch it for straw he had already started walking away. I had to loudly ask him to come back and change it to straw. I asked him if it was the same price so that I could pay the difference otherwise and he ignored me 3 times. When he finally answered he said if I knew the answer I would tell you. I told him he should have just said I dont know in the 1st place instead of ignoring me. He said well you cant do anything yourself. After resisting the urge to cuss him out, I calmly explained that the person at the register told me he would do it so what should I expect? I asked for his name and he said Adam. I only have 2 weeks left anyway. Ill be going to every review site I can find to warn people not to go to Sutherlands.

I love their Early Bird sale. I just got hanging baskets this trip. I did notice that there didnt see to be as many helpful Sutherlands employees around the plants. I sure could have used some help getting one down that was on the highest rail. There were two workers at each cashier station, one counted your basket and the other took your payment. That helped the line move quickly.

They have cheaper prices on a lot of stuff than home depot or Lowes. They also carry wood fence posts that the others do not.

Store managers set the attitude of the entire store; this store has an amazing manager. Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and kind! I had a fire in Oct and the $$$ were tight. In addition to almost daily help with a number of projects from floor to roof he and/or someone at store was always helpful!! I am disabled and regardless of the challenge these people are just good folks. Thanks for everything and I hope the deer sausage was shared! A great store with great people.Been 9 months and more great visits to store for guidance on most every issue. Couldn’t be happier with my store!! Thanks to all you ladies and gentleman.

My experiance today was not a good one. After spending 2 hrs selecting plants for Pine Lodge resort on Grand Lake. Mr. Box was denied purchase of selected items with personnal check. Just 2 wks. was our 1st purchase for resort, which was paid by personal check. Today after spending 2 hrs. selecting plants for resort grounds, Mr. Box was denied purchase, NO CHECKs ALLOWED. Mr. Box explained he had recently wrote check for recent purchase. Travel time (70 miles) and time spent at store was not considered. Please understand Sutherland has been a regular go to store for the last 4 yrs.. Because of the lack of consideration Pine Lodge has been placed into a position to look else where for additional spring plants.

One of the employees was so very helpful. He took time to explain what we needed to do to get our soil back to the right ph and got everything for us. Thanks

Sutherlands in Tulsa is my choice because its only a mile from home. The store is dirty and disheveled, and help is non-existent. Were two sixty year olds who needed 47 pavers and maybe a little help. There was no cart to carry them, but there was no helper to assist. I walked to the other end of the store for a cart and back, then we loaded it ourselves. Afterward, we schlepped to the cashier past one lonesome employee who was careful not to look at us lest he feel obligated to help. Once we paid, we struggled out the door with our load. Of course, there was no offer of assistance. Another employee avoided us in the parking lot, where we loaded our pavers ourselves, of course. The price of the pavers was no bargain, but it was what we wanted, so we relunctantly patronized Suthernlands. Id love to report that our locally owned (sort of) DIY center is so much better than the national chains, but it isnt. With luck, I wont soon have another need to visit Sutherlands.

Love going here for the sales! I wish the workers knew the plants better. Everyone was nice and tried to help. Even though it was crazy busy...

I missed these so much when I was out of state

Not really convenient for me as I live further south now. Used to love Sutherlands growing up, now its just nostalgia. For me, being able to buy a 1/2 yard scoop of dirt for $20 bucks is the one reason I still go there.

Ive been to this store several times. The first thing I noticed was that the employees are extremely helpful. You never have to look far if you need assistance.I bought some extremely heavy concrete steps. The men that loaded them for me were patient and professional. I will definitely shop at this store again.

The bossman Lou is well known there. He comes in 6x a day for supplies cause we always forget things we need. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Sutherlands Early Bird plant sale is always a big event that gets bigger each year. My wife and I got there about 8:30 and the place was busy as we expected. They opened at 6:30 but that was a little too early and cold for us. We were a little worried that they would not have much left but not to worry, there were plenty of Hanging Baskets left. Those little old ladies had their carts loaded and hanging off the sides. All bundled up (cold) and smiling from ear to ear.Its a great time to get your spring plants at a very low price.

Some items on shelves are dusty and make my fingers dirty to touch like house numbers and reflectors. On the plus side, I found some hard to find items. One example is when a neighbor bought a small pellet stove which is suppose to be very energy efficient heating, Sutherlands had the pellets and delivered it too. Mulch mulch mulch! I usually just buy the packaged bags from somewhere else. One year I needed to cover a very large area so we took the truck to fill up from the big piles. Gosh, make sure your windows are rolled up when they dump a load into the back of your truck bed so at least you wont have to clean up the inside of the vehicle.

The store carries a little of everything for Home and farm needs, even furniture. I personally, like the other big box stores a bit better but like the more hometown feel of this store. The pricing is a bit higher than the competition.

This place is soooooooo cool. It even has dogs that you can foster and adopt. Plus they helped me get supplies for my science fair project that was due. To sum it all up, they really know how to help you out when you really need it.

The store on 21 st Tulsa Oklahoma are the BEST . The service was AWESOME Dylan did a great job in helping me find everthing I needed for multiply projects that Im working on that took us all over the store . He was patient, pleasant and happy to help me. Mandre was my cashier . He rang me out very quickly and was very happy and pleasant . They both made my visit to the store much better.

I stopped in for some top soil because they have the best prices around. The staff was very friendly and helpful, even loading my car for me.

The lawn and garden ladies are so sweet, which is why I went back to get some trees. But, even with the sweet 2 ladies in the garden area, it isnt enough for me to return. The customer service employees need training in product placement so they arent making a person go from one end of the store to another only to discover that the item was in a completely different area all along. The friendless or lack there of, I should say, makes for the most unpleasant shopping experience. The man at the front door, checking to make sure that all items are accounted for when checking out, was the final straw for me. Calling a wheelbarrow, I was purchasing cheap because he wanted me to purchase a higher priced one, and then making fun of an employee for wheeling it out for me like he was somehow less manly since he was seen with the less expensive wheelbarrow. (By the way, the wheelbarrow was 34.00 on sale....not a ton of money but still enough for what I needed it for.) I didnt appreciate being made to feel like my amount of money was somehow not valued, after spending over 500.00 in the store for garden items. I will be taking my business to Lowes and home depot from now on. They are lots nicer and helpful and I have never been looked down upon for the amount I am able to spend.

Its a good place if you dont want to go to home depot or lowes. Sometimes its hard to find help. Love the 52lb bag of alpo dog food.

Prices are higher than Home Depot and Lowes. Service is worse and things are harder to find. But I guess if you want to support a locally owed business and dont mind the other issues this is your place.

Nice Place, never had a bad experience. Shop there quite often. I enjoy there center area of crafts and country furniture and nik naks. That sets them apart from other stores. I find the people to be friendly.

Horrible customer service. Bad attitudes from all the employees and then on top of that way over priced. Cashier pushing people back who are masked but yet she puts he face in her shirt while shoving a customer. Will NEVER go in this store again

Had a problem with a piece of furniture. Called the store in Tulsa at 21 and 169 and they had a repair person out the next day. Fixed the issue fast and was very professionally. Im sure that the store manager Eric would be proud of his team. Thanks Sutherlands and eric

Dont care ring us up and keep your idle chit chat to yourselves. We went here because of the commercial on tv and Im not sure like I said we will be back. Sad really as I really wanted to like this place. It was not terrible but were not impressed.

I really liked being able to get bulk gardening dirt, manure, mulch at a great price. They were out of manure for the rest of the year in bulk but still have some left in bags.
