Wouldn’t let me return a pair of boots because the box got a little wet. Manager was borderline rude about. I even asked to get a return for a percentage less cuz the box was wet even though the boots were never worn and they were still unwilling to compromise. There is a better selection and better prices at just about any other store.

Great place to stop and see the new clothes and hunting gear. Clothes for women and men and children. Bow shop and gun room. Friendly staff. Check them out if you in the area.

Very knowledgeable gun department and out of all the sporting goods stores in the county they are one if the few that have a good supply of ammo. The store is always clean amd presentable and the employees are always polite and helpful. They also have a wide selection of fishing gear and equipment as well as hunting . The archery department also carries a wide selection of archery equipment and gear.

Beautiful place, but not what I expected with the Outdoorman type look, this one was more clothing in my opinion.

Have been coming to Woods and Water for many years but usually steered clear to them being higher in price on most of their items. I went in here a couple of weeks ago to look for turkey calls and wow, they had a huge selection of calls to choose from and a large selection of different call makers. All the prices on these calls were very comparable to other places especially online. Will definitely be back when I need more turkey calls

I bought a 9mm pistol. They where helpful in that department. But the cashier up front was rude when I went in and the same leaving, or I would have had given 5 stars. Cant blame all for one persons faults for messing up the whole stores over all review.

Great selection of very overpriced items. I dont understand how they stay in business with prices like that. Academy sold out of items that this store had an abundance of...once u see prices u understand why. I just dont see how they make a profit with all this inventory not moving...back to academy i go. But i give credit to the design and look of the store. Very pretty and inviting but prices will disgust you.

We came into the store today buy us each a pair of shoes. With multiple customers waiting to get served. 3 employees continues to watch a basketball game on the TV. After about 10 minutes we finnaly got waited on and were never checked on again. Your employes just lost a 350 dollar sale due to poor customer service.

I went to woods and waters on 8/4/2019 looking to buy a pair of boots. I m wet a gentleman in the shoe department by the name of Chris that was very helpful and to the time to find the right boots that would fit me. Then I made my way to the grip of the store to the cashier and she was the most kind and helpful young lady. Her name was Hannah. I would highly recommend everyone in Tuscaloosa to do the shopping at at this business location. I want to say thank yall to both Chris and Hannah for their outstanding work and help. God bless

I go to this store just to see their taxidermy collection. They have a huge collection, from full figures to busts, from all over North America and even some from abroad!They are more expensive than academy sports for similar products but has better collection when it comes to expensive equipment or garments.

If you luv the outdoors this is a downright cool store. Plenty of selection, helpful and friendly staff with plenty of pointers and a good stories to boot. Filson section is worth checking out too.

Friendly service but a little pricey

Great sporting goods store. A little on the pricey side. Excellent variability and choices on hunting, fishing, and clothing choices. You can definitely find the higher end products for hunting, fishing, guns, outdoor, and clothing.

Store is clean and well stocked. Found staff to be well informed, helpful and courteous. This is my new go-to for all my outdoor needs.

Been going here for many years to buy all my hunting and fishing supplies staff is always friendly and helpful.

They have outdoor items that you cant find at the big box stores like Dicks and Academy Sports. For example you can get top quality upper name brand items. They also carry high quality firearms and ammo. Very good fishing department with the exception of fly fishing gear which is very basic. They charge top dollar, but if its a hard item to find they are more likely to have it.

Decent store, they have pretty nice items and a good selection of outdoor clothing, but the fact that they are the only outdoorsish store in the area allows them to over price their items heavily. Customer service (Especially at the gun counter) was below average at best, the attitude of the employees is a combination of not enthusiastic about being there, and snobby/thinking they know more than you.

I went in to purchase a new crossbow. The service was great. I was instructed about the use and care of the crossbow. We set up the scope and the arrows, covered safety and went to the indoor shooting range. The price was even a little less than I could buy it online without any instruction or personal attention. I highly recommend shopping at Woods and Water in Tuscaloosa.

Low stock on guns and prices hundreds higher than other stores in the area. Staff made no effort to show any guns or offer to see if he could even get the gun we came in to look at. A gun that was advertised as being on special. Next time Ill just head up to Marks Outdoors in Hoover.

Good place to shop for fishing and hunting needs

Im not a hunter or fisher so please take that into your mind when reading my review. The place was clean, well organized, far to quiet though as if you spoke to loudly you might spook the taxidermy bear. Lots of rifles, even a whole room of them called the gun room, (but since its a mans paradise, I would have called it the gun cave). The employees are nice but few so theres no one on the floor if you have questions. All in all, if I was into a quiet time shopping for the perfect hunting and fishing supplies itd be a 5 star but we were looking for a handgun and we didnt see any.

Davis responded within a day, explaining that they were having trouble with their automated email system. From then on he personally and promptly emailed me the details of my order. When the order arrived later than promised, he immediately refunded me my full shipping costs. Great customer service job by the E-Commerce team at Woods-n-Water!

Gander Mountain is 8-10 min closer, so I went there first for a specific item. I could not find it on the shelf. I positioned myself near several employees who were with other customers. I was never acknowledged, never a will be with you shortly. I decided after 10 minutes to leave. Passed by 4 employees sitting under a tent near the front door. Never acknowledged there either. Drove to Woods and Water. Welcomed upon entering. Arriving at the gun counter, Blake asked, What can we do for you today. He went in the back and got what I needed. Great service, quick. Friendly. I get great service EVERY time I go to W&W. They will always get my business.

I attempted to purchase something from this company online. It took me to a page that confirmed my order, complete with an order number. I received an email from their vendor saying my payment was approved, which is weird. I never received a confirmation email however for my order. It did charge my card initially, but then my card was refunded. When I tried to call the store the number listed online is not active. What is going on here?

Can’t afford to walk in the door. store is overpriced and designed for rich people that hunt or fish once a year to keep the man card. stuck up employees. rich folks kids work here so the dads can get a discount. lol.

Love this store. Love walking around and seeing all the animals. I like going inside the gun room and looking around. They have all types of guns, fishing gear, and clothes. Very friendly and helpful workers.

Woods & Water (Tuscaloosa) is one of the better outdoor places Ive been to. My wife and I are from Northwest Florida and have family and a deer camp near Columbus, Mississippi. We drove over to Woods & Water to pick out a bow. We received some of the absolute best service in choosing the right equipment, having it fitted properly, and the employee who helped us, named TJ (I believe), even gave us his cell number in the case we needed any further help living out of town. A couple cam screws came loose and fell out when we were back home, and he responded to texts and my phone call to swiftly remedy the problem. Over time, sighting the bow in and practicing, I broke an arrow and lost a few more. But, we waited until a year later to go back and have more arrows cut, along with some adjustments made to the bow. Reed was the employee who helped this time, and he went above and beyond to assist and answer questions in every way. Though there may be local shops we could go to back home, we will drive an hour away from where we are vacationing in Mississippi to continue to shop at Woods & Water. No bad impression could be said from any of our experience with this store. Loyalty from Florida!

I highly recommend woods and water for GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I was in on black friday and went to the gun counter for a $10 rail for my shotgun. They helped me with the same care as the 30 other people lined up to buy expensive guns even though I only wanted a $10 rail. They then offered to mount it and bore sight the red dot at no charge.I purchased a summit climber while I was there at a great price.They also sold me a hunting license. I first went to academy to purchase a hunting license and the refused to sell it to me because it was black Friday. Woods and water knows how to take care of their customers!!

Its like a small Cabelas Outdoors or Gander Mountain, but possibly better than both. They have a really good selection of hunting clothes, or clothes in general. Have a reasonable gun, knife, and fishing selection.

They are pretty good there. Sometimes the guys in the gun department are not very helpful. They are very pricey.

Ordered some stuff on sale. Two weeks later I still didnt receive the product or an email. Only a confirmation for the products ordered. Noticed they charged my credit card so I called them up. They called me back 2 days later and told me they messed up and didnt have the product in stock anymore and would give me a refund. In the meantime all the other stores that had similar price on the sale products I missed out on. They need to get a better system for monitoring inventory. If I didnt call I would not have received the product or a refund. Im giving them 2 stars instead of one because the customer service was actually nice. However, I still havent received a refund so if I dont receive the refund within the next day or two I will be changing the review to one star.
