It was pretty good, but I got there late, after they had pretty much closed and was only able to get leftovers. Price was a little on the high side for what I got, but..eh.The owners were friendly and appreciative. I like spending my money in my old community though. I will try them again next time Im in Tyler, but Ill be sure to get there earlier. Hopefully theyll have more of a selection.

THE ATMOSPHERE IS COZY & FAMILY ORIENTED. THE OWNERS ARE FRIENDLY & TREAT YOU LIKE FAMILY. THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS AS ALWAYS. THEY OFFER A WIDE VARIETY OF MEATS, VEGETABLES & DESSERTS. VERY AFFORDABLE PRICING. CAN DINE IN, CARRY OUT & CALL IN. I EAT THERE @ LEAST 3 TIMES PER WEEK.

I love there food and customer service. I feel like i can kick my shoes and rub my feet together with every bite because i feel like im at home. I called in my order, and my co-worker picked up lunch from here. Smothered Chops, cabbage, broccoli with cheese, and cornbread! My goodness! It was great! Good portion sizes, great food. I can hardly wait to eat there again!

Wonderful Soul Food like my grandmother made. Clean, fresh ingredients that are slow cooked to Southern perfection. We both had the roast, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and cornbread muffin. Daily specials and desserts too! You must try it, and we will definitely be back! Thank you!

I am from New Orleans and searched high and low for some soul food. I stumbled across Pots and Pans. The food was ok. I had the Turkey wings which they were both flat pieces. I got cabbage as a side. The cabbage was good but I got less than a spoonful. I also got a side of oxtails. The tails were very bland but I ate them. For $22. I would have expected a larger portion but what can I say. I am one who supports black and I would definitely go back.

If you want some real comfort food that reminds you of your grannys cooking. May I recommend this hidden diamond in the rough... Literally, if ur not from Tyler... youre not going to just drive by and check it out. No maam, you have to seek and find! But what youll find is the sweetest folk and the best Soul Food in East Texas.

I called in advance at 12:30 p.m. to ensure that when my group and I make the hour and 30 minute drive the restaurant would not be closed or there wouldnt be any issues for the party of five that I was bringing. The restaurant states that it closes at 5 p.m. but they could not guarantee that they were going to have food when we arrived by 2:30 p.m. What is the point in having a restaurant state it is open until 5 if youre not guarantee food at 3 p.m. I informed the manager that I was calling in advance because thats a long drive to make and a restaurant wind up being closed or dont have enough food. Her response was in a loud angry voice baby if you come on you might get some its slow right now but I cant guarantee its going to be some food when you get here. My advice is if you dont know how to speak to potential patrons in a professional manner, no matter how good your food is you would not be in business long, I will never patronize with this restaurant just based on the manager being unprofessional.
