This local Best Buy is definitely on the low end. The store is in need of some upkeep with numerous carpet stains and terribly dirty air vents. Honestly it seems as if it’s closing soon, the shelves are often pretty empty and it’s always under staffed. The associates who are working all seem to be fulfilling online orders and don’t really offer any help to costumers. Like most stores Best Buy is trying to move more into online shopping so they don’t carry much here like movies and cameras. I’ve waited over 30min for help from an associate on multiple occasions. The best thing about the store is the geek squad service, they seem pretty knowledgeable and are quite informative. If you need to go to a Best Buy I’d take the extra time to go to the one in Bridgewater, it’s much nicer and better in every way.

Had an extremely good experience here on 11/3. Walked in looking for tvs. Came in looking for one specific item and decided to get a secondary opinion and happened to meet Timothy. He is a super smart and knowledgeable associate. He walked us through all the current tv options on the market with their respective technologies. Assisted us in figuring out what size and technology would best work for us given our price point. Walked away feeling educated and excited over our new product. Thank you so much Timothy!
I use to love going to this place to get photography equipment I just don’t like how over the years they have less staff working that know about the professional photo and video equipment that’s the experience I expect and that’s what I like about B&H photo.They also started charging a restocking fee on returns photo video equipment witch B&H doesn’t have but don’t get me wrong Best Buy have one of the best return polices with everything else and the warranties are definitely worth getting they give you no issues with returning broken products you get a Warenty forJust make sure you don’t go into the store with blue polo you will get approached Coustmer thinking your an employee because they are super under staffed and that’s not what I expect from bestbuy

I went to the Geek Squad with my laptop and honestly they didnt fix it. But told me where to go to get it fixed,I appreciated that more than anything. Basically told me that it was gonna cost an arm and a leg,and for that price I could just buy a new laptop 🤣 Told me try a mom and pop place that would be cheaper. I found the place they told me and had my laptop back in 1 day. So I have no complaints about the Geek Squad.

I had to walk into the warehouse section just to find someone to help me find an item that was allegedly in stock but not on the shelf. They told me they were going to check “one last spot” & after waiting for 20 minutes, I saw them helping several other customers instead so I decided just to order online. Then I walked over to the locked box containing SD cards & no employees would even acknowledge me to open the box. It was infuriating. I even unplugged the security cables on one of the cameras next to the SD cards to trip the alarm & not a single employee came to check on it. I have never before felt so completely disregarded as a human being. If I ever need to go to Best Buy again — & I hope I never do — I will be driving out of my way from now on to ensure that I never have to come back here.
I bought a new portable air conditioner, from here, the salesman said try the portable, cause i was going to buy one that go in the window.. And believe me Im glad I did,,,, I love it,, so if anyone that follows me on Google, if your in the market for an air conditioner,, you got to try the portable ones. And youll see why I wrote this review. So on that note,, keep cool lol.The service here is great, I was waited on in a timely fashion with respect and courtesy. What else can you ask for, And what I paid for it was great too.

Went with my mom to get assistance at the geek squad station for a virus on her phone. The associate (Tristan) was very helpful and went out of his way to give us info on where to go for the most efficient way to get the phone restored. Its great to see employees like this who are genuinely helpful and patient during this crazy pandemic.

I would not purchase or bring Mac products for service at Best Buy. I have always had an awful experience and Geek Squads only comment is to take it to Apple. I dont understand whats the purpose
Customer service was friendly and helpful. The store wasn’t busy but also didn’t have much of what I was looking for in stock as most orders are now online. Your best bet is to go online or check the app prior to going in store. Prices are usually cheaper than most places.

Comparw to other Best Buy. Unsatisfy service and not giving the corrwct infor.ation. I bought thw motorola wdge phone and after few months touch screen not working I took it to this store rhey just told me that i dont have insurance and unable to fix here. Just go some where else wgo fixing the motorola. I check sevrral places and after couple months i found the place. They told me that your insurace expired one week before and now you have to pay 285.00 dillars.

I was there this morning, store was almost empty, many employees were walking apparently busy, I was looking for a rice cooker for about 20’ without any customer service. After a while a manager passed by, I talked to him and he sent someone to take care of my request. It was like a shopping nightmare I had but finally, I got what I was looking for. I don’t rate them 4 stars for a simple reason: It’s a great store and regardless of this circumstance still I’m glad they are here in Union, NJ.
Difficult to reach to since it lays on a very congested part of Roadway Interstate (Rt. 22 West). There is still some construction going on in parking lot area, so you have to slow down to enter.Im terms of selection its pretty poor to be honest, which is sad because its a very large location. I was in the market for a portable Bluetooth Speaker and there were only a handful actually available. Only display models. Looked like the shelves of toilet paper before a major store (bone dry !)The employee that attempted to help didnt really help or give me any alternatives or suggestions when the item I wanted was not in stock (not a surprise, since they have little stuff here; relatively speaking) Also Im confused why he didnt ask if I wanted it ordered and shipped to my home since there only had literally a handful of speakers available at the time ! (Sorry didnt take photo evidence, but trust me they had squat!)I only came here out of convenience since it was on my way to where I was going. (at the time)But more than likely this will be my very last time to visit this particular location !If you are in the area go to Vauxhall or to Iselin (further away) Dont waste your time in this place.Final Verdict: Two Stars ⭐⭐
Dont bother shopping at the Union, NJ store. 4 sales associates walked right past me didnt bother to ask if I needed assistance (which I did need) . Obviously it doesnt matter to them that they lost a customer. Spend your money somewhere else.

I went into this Best Buy for the first time, expecting the worse. I went into the appliance section to purchase a L.G. Range when I meet this very experienced associate by the name of Thomas. Thomas was very professional and helpful when it came to helping my wife and I. Thank you Thomas for all of your help and for thanking care of us from start to finish.

I am terribly disappointed with this store. I just bought an August lock and spent over $200 to get home and find out that the lock was used and that I would need to wait 30 days to have the lock re-register to fit my email account. This is extremely disappointing especially on the fact that I was not told that the lock was used and they charged me the price as if it was new!

I had a great expierence at this location. While it did take a bit for me to get serviced, there is definitely a reason why. When they come to help, they devote everything in the their power to help you. The person who helped me, Sal, was well going out of his way to make sure I got the best products for the lowest cost. Even laughed at a couple of jokes. Truly couldnt ask for more.
I live about 15 minutes away from here so this is my go to Best Buy location. I have bought phones, computers, and even some appliances here, but today was not a good visit. I had wanted to buy headphones I had seen on the website and since they were in stock at this location I decided to drive there and buy them. When the cashier was ringing me up I noticed that the price advertised on the Best Buy website was vastly different than what I was being charged. I had showed the cashier and he simply shrugged it off, saying that the price online must be incorrect. I could not believe he wouldnt even question the price disparity or get a manager to fix it. I told him I wasnt going to buy the product in store then since it was so different. I might have to start going to a different Best Buy.
Had a hard time locating available staff, when I eventually got someone to assist me, me was in a rush. I eventually left without making the purchase I went to the store for.

I like the Best Buy itself. Had a lot of options available that aren’t in other stores. Loved the displays of certain items to showcase. My only gripe is the customer service. Some employees made it seem they didn’t want to be there. When I asked for assistance I was just signaled to go elsewhere to the other side as if they didn’t want to help. I hope they perhaps can get retrained to do better at customer service.

I mean its best buy. Seems like everyone who works here are cookie cut and trained in the same way. I dont fault it, its corporate. However, I have had majority good experiences here at this location, with the exception that I purchased a satisfactory open box soundbar, only to find out when I went to pick it up that it is missing all the wires including the power cord and remote. I dont know.... but that doesnt fall in the satisfactory category in my opinion.
Never any help around. You can be standing right next to somebody looking around at items and youre never even asked can I help you and youre not sure if that person even work there, but they did

Had to bring new laptop back after a few weeks, little use, developed an error message and hard to use. I expected no charge-it was going to be almost $200 (about the price, coincidentally, of their extended warranty, which I bought, since it didnt cost much more). I had some music I didnt want to lose-theyd saved it IF I bought a 2Tb external drive to transfer them to for about $100 (it was maybe a dozen zip files; I backed them up myself). They said they would reinstall 3 programs I had downloaded-they didnt. They said they would reinstall my antivirus (Kaspersky). Instead they downloaded the antivirus included with the extended warranty I had to buy. Overall, my Geek Squad experience doesnt leave me wanting to use them for problems again.

The ongoing pandemic has definitely taken a toll on lot of businesses since a consumer mindset to buy anything outside of essential has crippled down significantly. Now by living with it has become the new normal, it is commendable on how these businesses continue to remain open and cater to the general public by following the safety standards.We got to this place after booking an appointment through their website. The line outside the store was pretty long for people with appointments. We got in and made it straight to the laptop section. The store was short staffed and short on supply and we waited some time until a young consultant showed up. He knew his stuff pretty well but couldnt stay around much as he constantly was going around to help other customers. This made us wait every time we had questions about a laptop.We finally decided which laptop we were choosing and let him know. It again took some time for him to get the laptop out of the inventory and get to the billing. We finally checked out and left the store.The HP laptop has been a good purchase and has been doing well so far.

Really difficult to find someone to help you! I walked for all the store asking for a car stereo after almost 20 minutes someone finally helped me.
Paid over 2100 for washing machine and dryer. We asked them if our old valve would be an issue and if we need to call a plumber first but Best Buy ASSURED us that it’s not an issue and they will fix the valves or replace them. On day of delivery they just dumped the washer and dryer and told us we need to call a plumber. We can’t get a hold of them over the phone. Worst service ever. Go somewhere else to spend your hard earned money people.
My experience was great my sales associate emily from appliances was great she treated us great and really helped us out with any concerns we had. I highly recommend her as my number one choice for any of your shopping needs.

Store is an absolute train wreck. Ordered 2 items for in store pickup Sunday night. Showed up 6pm on Monday and only one item was picked. Waiting in line for almost an hour outside. I asked why they didn’t pick the whole order when they had literally all day, didn’t get a clear answer.I also overheard an employee say this to customers waiting in line: if you didn’t get the order confirmation, go get it yourself.Edit: more of a corporate review here, so I went home and set this item up to be shipped to my home, said it would arrive on Tuesday. Nothing showed up Tuesday. Ups tracking said it was delivered Wednesday afternoon. Nothing here. Called Best Buy customer service, told them my issue and they HUNG UP ON ME. Ups is investigating. I will be disputing the credit card charge.
Excellent customer service. Needed to exchange a defective product I ordered online and the customer service representative was accommodating and proficient at carrying out the transaction. Employees were also actively enforcing the mask-wearing rule, which was a welcome sight.

Horrible managing lines for pickup. Was outside on cyber Monday in the rain for 1 hr not to mention the rude security, there were only two visible runners going out to the cars to deliver there merchandise. Awful, meanwhile the line for pickup inside was empty and they kept the in store lines moving faster pickup. There should be a better system in place for managing cyber pickup.

Bad day for customer service the rep was very unprofessional guess thats why she didnt wear her name tag! We went to get our HP all-in one cleaned due to slow speeds but quickly realized if we put another $100-$125 to the cleaning price we could just buy a brand new all in -1 Hp. So we decided to use the trade-in option! We take the computer to the customer service agent who just looked at us (I assume she was waiting on us to ask a question) so I let her know I wanted to trade the computer in and purchase the updated model! After I spoke she just walked away to retrieve one of their devices! With her back to us she pressed a couple of buttons then turned to us and said Best Buy doesnt accept this item! Confused I asked her what is the name of my computer and when she couldnt answer I just left out of frustration! Sitting in the parking lot of Best Buy I was able to pull up the website and read the trade in options where I found my computer and was further upset when I seen the trade in value of my computer was only $40! I ended up taking the computer to another repair shop and was charged $130 for the exact samething Best Buy 200plus! So I m thinking just like clothing we are paying for THE NAME!
Horrible. Wasted 20 minutes trying to find help. I asked a girl if she could give me a price check, she said it may be about 40 dollars. Very unprofessional. Waited 30 waiting in line. Then the customer service started to help the people behind me. I put my stuff back and left. Never going back there.

Overall a good experience except when you are returning a defective phone that your purchased from them. They only give you store credit, even with proof of purchase. Returned within 21 days too, due to the massive snow storm we just experienced otherwise I would have returned it sooner. Surprised that they only open at 11 am on a Sunday.
I must say I was pleasantly surprised by how far and above her means the store manager Sarai went out of her way to accommodate me..Sarai is the true definition of a professionalism..I cannot tell you how happy she made me feel as a customer...I am a customer for life thanks to Sarai. Its best to have car pick up because its so cold outside. You also have to wait in a line before you can go inside. Times have definitely changed. Overall the store is fine with me,picked up my things and went home.
