Stopped by to check this place place out as its on the way from my house in Pittsburgh to my fathers house in Morgantown. My husband flies drones and although they didnt have specifically what I was looking for, they DID have a huge selection of other neat stuff! I was happy to see them enforcing WEARING A MASK 😷 during my visit. Made me feel a little safer shopping there and I know they wont get shut down and ill continue to be able to enjoy my visits there because they follow mandatory guidelines for businesses. This is a great stop for anyone that loves hobbies! it looking to start a new addiction to a good hobbies. Planes, trains, and automobiles a plenty.

Years ago I had an obsession/addiction to RC cars/trucks. In 6 months I bought 5 of them and helped build a track in a friends yard. Get A Hobby had all the supplies I needed and the knowledge to help me fix them. Fortunately, in my case, I have since moved from the area but I do recommend stopping in to see what they have.

Drove there this afternoon and tried to buy all of my kids new rc cars and get them to repair a broken car. As soon as I walked in the door, they were completely rude and said gotta put a mask on if you are entering our store. I replied Im not and I walked out. In PA, if you are a licensed concealed carry holder, it is illegal to wear a mask. I took my business to Bill and Walts hobby shop who when I called told me, they do not require a mask and Americans are welcome. They were very polite and down to earth. I felt obligated to spend my money at a reputable shop. I tried to support the local shop, but my $2500 was well spent today and I didnt have to break the law to do so. Thanks Bill and Walt!

I enjoyed looking at the various hobbies. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the different remote controlled vehicles and planes.

My husband just loves this place he liked putting models together theres nowhere around our area that has been a model.... so we Google them and drive to places which makes it really nice gives his time together

Great place! A little of everything, trains, models etc, but mostly RC - boats, planes, trucks, buggys etc. Lots of parts and super friendly/helpful staff. Glad I found this place as it is now my go-to for RC needs.

I love the fact that they get to know their customers on a individual basis my husband goes here. They are really good to him great selection in store and if dont have he can get usually pretty quick.

One stop hobby shop

Stopped in for a basic model kit. Amazing how many different items they can fit in what appears to be a small store. People behind the counter were friendly enough and I left with close to what I wanted. I would definitely stop there again.

I went in a few weeks ago and talked to one of the guys about my interest in starting a rc hobby, he took his time, walked through everything with me and answered all my questions. There was no pressure to buy, no hassles or anything of the sort.I went home and checked out YouTube for further info on rc cars and when I went back in the store for a purchase the gentleman again helped me and answered all my questions etc and I am very happy with my experience. I would absolutely recommend this business to anyone.This place is great for EVERYONE.

Stopped in to look for my first rc truck and they gave me useful advice. They told me the perks and disadvantages to the rc i was looking for. They know there business and for a person that really doesnt know anything about rcs they respect you and dont talk down to you this is were i will go for any of my rc needs. thank you guy for being so help full.

Local hobby shops are still the best way to shop for your next modelling project. This one has a great selection and a full line of supplies including Tamiya paints. Best workers you could ask for. If they dont have it, ask and they will get it.

Small shop, mainly a RC hobby shop but does have some train, and scale models (mostly older kits) and a workable paint section if you are in a pinch.

Sales person was very helpful an informative on products. Will be back for more products an information,they also repair rc an trains.

The first review I gave praised the place. However things have changed since. Instead of naming it Get A Hobby it should say Get An Attitude. The owner for some reason seemed to always have an attitude towards me or my wife along with snide remarks. I no longer go there nor will I recommend. There are many other hobby stores and the internet that gladly takes my money.

BEWARE: Get A Hobby in UniontownSo we spend $900 on two RC cars for our boys for Christmas.Day one.. Both vehicles broken before we even get them charged TO run.Day two.. Take them outside for first run. The $600 Redcat XR catches on fire. The $300 Rockslide doesnt hold a charge whatsoeverDay three.. Take them back to Get A Hobby, guy says what do you want me to do.. I wasnt asking for a refund I just wanted some advice or to know what parts to buy or to know how to better run them, or hell even instruct me on how to put the factory warranty to use if there is one. He was extremely rude and specified they have no warranty whatsoever. My husband told him he should have a sign explaining his policies, he got angry and told my husband to leave. So thanks Get A Hobby, its been a great Christmas, thanks for nothing. PARENTS BEWARE: do research and ask questions before you hand this man your money.
