I had a reservation at this location. I made it more than 30 days in advance online at Uhaul.com. I showed up, on time, on the right date. They had me in their system .....but for the next day despite my confirmation email showing them to be incorrect. They essentially said SORRY NOT SORRY. Refused to help me at all. The GM just didnt care in any way and I needed a truck that day. I was astounded.
If you want to get a truck from them order online. We went here to get a truck to do some quick moving and they said they were completely sold out of trucks. So we order online and it accidentally sends us back here. So I call them because they told me they were out of trucks and he says my order is good to go. This all happened literally 10 mins in between. When I asked them why they said they were sold out they told us they didn’t want to take the chance of not getting it by 7am. Giving the truck back at 7am was never a problem for us we lived less than two mins away, we actually were going to give it back way sooner. They could’ve just told us that they needed it by 7 am exactly instead of blatantly lying to us . IF THEY SAY THEY ARE SOLD OUT ORDER ONLINE!!!!
I had a great experience getting a hitch installed. Jason communicated the process well, and was really fast. Check-in and out went very smoothly. This is a smooth operation.
Run away! We ordered a hitch ball and a couple small things and they couldnt locate our order despite us having an order number. They were so apathetic and could not care less. Do not give them business!
I asked if they have hitch receivers they point me to hitches. I ask again for a hitch receiver they say that a hitch and a hitch receiver are the same thing. I just leave, no help no customer service 300 dollars just left your lot because you hire people with attitudes and who clearly dont understand what I need.
Called to make a reservation and couldnt even get through the call. One girl is asking another girl questions the entire time, neither seem to know whats going on or how to explain simple policies. I had to ask the same question 7 times because they were both talking over me. No customer service skill, not renting from here to save myself the frustration.

So I called the U-City store and spoke with a very rude representative by the name of LARRY. The first impression of him answering the phone was very unfavorable and his energy was very bad. Bad Tone and bad attitude. Too many competitors out there for you to be having a bad attitude with customers. I WOULD PAY FOR A GOOD EXPERIENCE ANY GIVEN DAY OVER A GOOD DEAL! THIS LOCATION DEFINITELY LOST A CUSTOMER AND I WILL NEVER GO THROUGH THAT LOCATION. Apparently he doesnt like his job and should find another one.
Got charged for a full day even though they could only let me have the truck for 4 hours. Seemed bogus. Truck ran fine. Also, always check what they say the gas gauge reads before you pull off. I have NEVER seen their number and reality line up.
One again this place is not customer service friendly. I rented a truck for the day and had to fight against not paying for the dolly they left in the truck...when I had my own in the truck. Then today I tried to return my gently used boxes and they refused to accept them. We dont want to clutter up our box area with your used boxes. I have spent hundreds of dollars on boxes that are great for multiple uses...Uhaul even states it in their brochures they take boxes back! This particular location is the worst at customer service!

One of the women working at the front desk was the rudest employee with whom Ive ever had to interact. She will make insults, be patronizing, and talk down to you at the slightest provocation (I asked a question about contact info on file and was treated like dirt as a result). Next time I rent out a uhaul, I will drive the extra distance to go to the store on the Hill, where the front desk employees dont insult every customer who walks in. I happened to be in the store when another customer party left, and the employees didnt even try to hide themselves badmouthing the other customers right in front of me. No doubt theyll do the same once you turn your back.On the other hand, the guys who checked in the truck upon returning the uhaul were perfectly normal, professional, and straightforward. But God forbid you have to talk to the people who work at the front desk.
The service was okay. People werent rude, but they didnt seem to want to be there. This place looked closed when we drove up and it took a few tries to find the right entrance. Beside that, they did their job and we returned the rental truck with no issues.
Super easy to rent anything you need here. The staff is friendly and efficient. For local moves you can even leave your car in the lot for the day.
Ive rented trucks and moving units many times over the years from multiple Uhauls in multiple cities and this has been by far the best experience I have had. We rented a van from this location to pick up a couch that was purchased about an hour outside St Louis, upon entering the facility we were greeted by Erica and she was professional, genuinely friendly and efficient. The other gentlemen who prepared the van as well as took in the return was also courteous and professional.Typically when I rent a vehicle or moving equipment I expect a long wait, vague explanations of policies and a focus on up-selling as opposed to providing a good rental experience, this was 100% not the case. Erica and the other staff are on their game here: Friendly AND competent while making sure youre taken care of.I highly recommend this location and have a feeling the reviews complaining about the service are outliers (not to detract from their experiences) since my experience was great start to finish.
Had no trouble getting my hook up, but insisted I buy an adapter I didnt need. Then wouldnt return it. Will speak to someone with not knowledge or a different location next time I need these services.

Absurb online reservation system. Apparently, booking a truck online is nothing but indicating your preferences. After reserving our truck weeks ago for a major residential move, I was informed today that a truck isnt available for the preferred time frame, at this or any other U-Haul location in the area. This cut an entire day off of our moving timeline.Impractical, unprofessional procedure for booking. I have no idea if this is the fault of U-Haul nationally or locally, but am profoundly disappointed. Moving residences is not a flexible timeline -- a reservation should be guaranteed at the time of booking. DO NOT SEND ORDER CONFIRMATIONS IF THE TIME FRAME IS ONLY PREFERRED AND NOT GUARANTEED! That language is not included anywhere in the order confirmation.We will be seeking alternative options for future moves.
THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD !!!!! Its has been Years since I have had to rent a truck and as I remembered as with most rentals of cars and trucks there was a process of walking around the vehicle with a rep of the company to check for damage and to check gas level . I went in to get the truck and was just given a contract . The Older man that I worked with asked a few simple questions in regard to a alternate phone number and Gave me a contract and told me that the truck was outside and that based on the Miles it should be apx $57 and Pointed me in that direction . As I was about to leave I thought about it .. This Guy didnt check anything or walk around or check gas . I wrote down were Gas was 1/4 of tank and Mileage . (long story shorten ) I returned the truck Only to be told that the Mileage was Higher than and the gas was lower then when I left and that he was charging my card $120!!! I told him there was no way . I had just stopped 2 blocks away and put gas back to the 1/4 I left on .. He said No it was 3/8 ! NO SIR . I told him I had written down every thing (gas and miles) On the front of contract and he could get it out of the truck .. He Did and told me WELL I dont care what you wrote this is what I have .. WOW .. Blown away by his attitude towards me I asked for a manager . He said That Her Name is ERICA . will put your card (PAYMENT) on hold till you speak with her on Monday .. OK. Today Is Monday . I called This ERICA ONLY to be told that I should have been sent a Text Msg to confirm everything . (walk around and Gas) Really ??? I told her I was not told about any of this and Just given keys. She told me that I should not have left in the truck .Wow..OK. I told her the two discrepancies I had and that I was not informed of a txt .. (nor did I have my phone to receive Moving !) This should have been explained when I GOT TRUCK RIGHT !!!? This Manager ERICA had no COMPASSION or Consideration that her Employee did not do his job correctly ! Did Not give information on how I was to receive anything . SHE bushed that under the rug .. Then tried to defend or make this My fault .! saying it was turned early with the reported miles and gas that I was to leave with it .. REALLY ! WHO DROVE IT BETWEEN ME and t THEM ??? That possible too !!! Now me pay for it .. !!! This ERICA then dropped the bomb on me when I told her that this was wrong .. How is anyone to know the process if not told ..! JUST TOLD ME SHES NOT REFUNDING ANYTHING !! CANT REFUND ANYTHING .. I HAD ENOUGH .. So getting nowhere with this place or its Manager ERICA ! I TOLD HER just go ahead and take my card off of hold that he told me was placed to today after I talked to you and I thanked her for No Help ! and She Said (SMARTLY !) O .. HE ALREADY CHAGED THE CARD !!! WHAT ?????!!! REALLY ...AGAIN !!! This is a failure in your system and The promises and broken protocol and you still want help, I asked . NO SHE REPLIED ! WOW... Reserved a truck online. The woman (as pictured in the reviews) was extremely friendly and quick with organizing the logistics for the truck. We were showed to our truck in about 5-10 min. Didnt have any issues and will be renting for the second time this coming weekend.
We have done same day rentals a couple of times and were in and out quickly at a low cost. We love having this nearby and their flexible and $20 van/truck rental has been great!
Likely one of the worst customer service workers I have ever met. I will not be returning to this UHaul and I advise other people not to. The man at the service counter was overtly rude and refused to answer any questions we had. After 10 minutes of being harassed and not helped, we ended up going to the UHaul on the Hill (since it was after 5 PM). The manager there was professional and overall great experience.Long story short: Dont go here, the workers are rude and its amazing that theyre still in business with their level of un-professionalism.

I went to pick up my truck and there was an error in the system preventing me from renting (it erroneously said I had an outstanding bill with uhaul). No fault of that uhaul location though. The guy working there patiently helped me figure out the issue (there was a typo in my DL number), even though it was close to closing time. He was really nice and helpful.
Best Uhual in town! I went in and they were VERY busy, but I could tell they were working as best they could.
When I picked up the truck I was basically just given the keys. I would have liked some to go above the basic requirements and walk me through how to use the truck parking brake, open rear gate and what accessories we included with my truck. The truck was old and beat up. I saw on my receipt that there was a portion of the truck that had been damaged and it said Renter aware of and ok with the possibility of water damage. I was never made aware of this during pick up. Since I did not use any accessories, my hope was that the employees on site could remove that charge. Wrong, like I said, beyond anything absolutely basic, I would have to come back and speak with the manager the next day. It took me 45 minutes to simply return / check in the truck when I was done using it. Im also glad that I didnt have to pay for anything when returning the truck because the system was down and they had to turn away paying customers. No manager was onsite to help assist. When I tried to extend my rental for an additional 2 hours (I rented it initially for 23 hours) I was told over the phone that my total price would double. That was the only option. We had to unload the contents of my truck into the street so we could return it in time. I already had low expectations for UHaul, but this was horrendous. The experience of moving is never fun and I wish there was a company that worked hard to help its customers during that time instead of being lucky we had the truck size in stock we reserved.
We have used many Uhaul storage facilities over the past few decades and I must say The one at 7270 Olive Blvd UCity MO is the absolutely CLEANEST one I have ever seen! They have a great staff too.

Upon pick-up, we waited for 10 minutes for someone to show, up. Returning the Pick-up at 2:58 pm, we were not processed until 3:24 by Patrick Newman. We complained to the manager, Erica Norman. She was rude and responded that basically we could call and complain to whomever we wanted. This was unquestionably the most unpleasant rental experience weve ever had.
