I am incredibly disappointed with my experience. I’ve been to this Mr. Tire several times and had an ok experience, but this most recent time was completely unacceptable. I just needed a part on the front of my car popped back into place and my windshield washer fluid receptacle replaced. When I dropped my car off, I was given an estimate of $125. A couple hours later, they called and told me my total was “only” going to be just over $860. When I pressed for details on what that price covered, I realized they were listing things I absolutely didn’t need done (I had just done them myself). They brought the price down to around $450 after my persistent questioning. When I went in to pay, they tried to charge me $590. Again, I had to question them for them to admit they “forgot” to take something off the bill. I will never return to this location or Mr. Tire in general, and I will recommend that people go anywhere else. I called my mechanic at home to get an estimate and he told me it would be approximately $75 for labor + the $40 part. I felt throughout the entire process that they were trying to take advantage of me. Wish I could leave less than one star.

Mr Tire has a policy of not disclosing that they delay providing services for anyone who does not purchase tires from them. They kept my car for two days to mount and balance a tire. There are other places to get service. Firestone and others do not practice this form of harassment. I will never go here again.

I feel they stole my money went to get a wheel alignment on my truck got it back sounding crazy called and had my mechanic call to tell them what they did not do and they told me to come back and I did to have them tell me they busy very poor service just said to take people money like that I work to hard very sad

Went in for a conventional oil change with a coupon. Left feeling good as I was told what the total would be and with service charges/taxes it was what I expected.Was called later in the day. I figured it was to tell me the car was done, but it was the service center telling me that my car required a ton of maintenance for a mileage tune up. They said it would be $500+. I had been taking my car to other places it’s whole life (including the dealership) and was never told this. I declined as much as I felt I needed to, but still required a new oil filter and that was much more than the $25 coupon that I came in with. This was much more than I have paid for the same service at other places.We went here for convenience of location but won’t be going back. I suggest you find a different service center that doesn’t pressure you or up charge like crazy.

Beware. I took a flat tire to Mr. Tire to see if they could repair/replace it. Instead of doing what I asked, they did a full inspection on the car and told me I needed $2900 in service. When I said that I only wanted the one tire replaced, they told me it would be $350--for one tire! When I said I would just pick up the car/tire, they insisted on charging me a $30 inspection fee for an inspection I didnt ask for. Go elsewhere.

Service and quote over the phone was 100% accurate with no additional service fees.

At the suggestion of my 80-year-old father, who reads online reviews, I made an appointment for my 2008 Toyota Yaris. Upon my arrival I was greeted by the manager, Craig, who was incredibly helpful. He reviewed what I was in for (headlight bulb replacement), reviewed the price, offered me the latest coupon and let me know how long Id be waiting. The customer waiting area of the shop is incredibly clean and comfortable and all the staff I met were professional and friendly.Part way through, Craig let me know they could polish up the headlight covers, which were incredibly cloudy. He quoted me the price and time for the work. Offered to shuttle me to wherever I needed to go and pick me up when my car was ready.When my car was ready, they called to let me know, I was picked up and Craig explained how the process went, what didnt turn out as they might have hoped and answered my questions. I paid and was on my way, with my cars headlights looking better than ever. I had been wanting to get them cleaned up for sometime now and was so glad Craig was attentive enough to offer the service. He wasnt pushy at any point in time and I felt no pressure to take him up on the suggested work.Overall, I was really impressed with the shop and grateful my dear dad recommended it. I will happily return for all my auto maintenance in the future, even if it means I have to drive a bit out of the way. Finding an auto shop that prides itself on honesty, respect, and customer loyalty is not easy and not something to take for granted.If you need your car serviced, please consider patronizing this shop. Called today Mr. Tire...Individual whom I spoke with was Rude, Unprofessional, as well as Impatient, he hung phone up on me when I asked for his name I called back call was forwarded to voice mail. I called from a different number he answered and denied he ever spoke to me. Im looking for snow tires I Intended to reach out to the store manager In regards to the way store staff are treating people.After reading the reviews...why bother!! My money is good anywhere. I came here this morning bc I remembered my tires looked quite flat. I had never filled them before and only recently purchased my car, so I didn’t know what I was doing. I called, and Craig answered and very kindly told me they have free air for tires and would assist if I came by. I did, and he both very kindly checked all four of my tires to equalize the pressures, but also told me about tire maintenance (which I evidently might need for one of them). I would definitely go back when I need my car serviced again.

Customer service and communication was excellent and the mechanics are very thorough. They did a fantastic job on my car and I would reccomend them for any maintenance.

Mr tire was very helpful. The last two times I was in with tire problems, they found the problems quickly and both were covered under warranty. The word was done in a very timely fashion. Always have been treated well at Mr Tire

What a great place to have tires serviced and repaired! I recently needed air in my tires so I stopped at Mr.Tire. The service manager met me at the air pump where he checked and filled my tires. So nice and courteous!A week later I discovered a large screw in my rear tire (not surprised given the amount of road construction in our area). I called Mr. Tire and even though it was late afternoon and Mr.Tire was extremely busy, they stayed late to repair my tire. If you are seeking auto/tire service, I highly recommend contacting Mr.Tire in University Hts. You will be impressed by their honesty, professionalism and strong customer focus.

All I had these guys do is put new rims on some tires for me. They got it done but took a day and a half and on top of that got my truck back and one of the center caps was broke whoever did it well Ill just say they are dishonest all they had to do is let me know but I guess like a lot of people dont check the work after its done. On top of that I had some valve stem covers custom kind and they didnt have not 1 on the new rims I guess whoever did the work wanted them. Anyway I wouldnt recommend them to do anything on a vehicle!!

Isaias and Craig was AWESOME came in for a wheel alignment around 2:00 and I was out the door by 2:30. Thought I was going to be here roughly for at least 2 hours but these guys took good care of my service and got me in & out! I would HIGHLY recommend this location for any service you are in need of, but when you do go ask for either Isaias or Craig and I promise you that they will take really good care of you! 😊🤗😘

I looked online for places that do free or courtesy vehicle inspections. Their website said they do courtesy inspections. I scheduled an appointment at the University Heights location the representative told me it was $60.00. I called the other location in Cleveland Heights, the representative said it was free. I called the Maple location and he said $20.00. They are liars

Craig took GREAT care of me. They were quick in their repairs, and did a phenomenal job explaining everything that needed to be fixed. I have come to them multiple times and I have found them to be honest and very reliable. Love Mr. Tires, especially this location.

This Mr. Tire is the best place in the world for vehicles! The customer service was amazing, I had the pleasure of the manger Isa explain what needed to be done with my car and he was reassuring of the services being done properly. The mechanic who worked on my car was also helpful and informed me everything should be working smoothly now! Oh yeah their buy 3, get one free is an absolute steal! Good Luck!

Awesome shop and location! Craig, general manager, is awesome and goes above and beyond to break down and explain what needs to be done and why. I had rotors and pads installed all around and a loose heat shield reattached. Both completed very well. They will definitely show appreciation for your business and loyalty by saving you money where they can without going under. Out of all the shops I’ve been to (Firestone, Goodyear, Conrad’s) this is by far my favorite and now go to for the Cleveland area which I live. I am actually waiting for the call to pick up my fiancé car from them for starter and battery work as I type this. From the top down Craig sets a high bar that continues down to everyone working there including Tabitha and Isaiah whom were very helpful.PS The bathroom is really clean if you end up waiting for them to complete your job. Like they might clean it better than I do at home. LOL

Mr. Tire is over priced service go to firestone. The owner badgered me for days to remove previous poor reviews, instead of just resolving the matter. It’s disappointing to see poor leadership that doesn’t understand customer relationships still in our communities

Very Rude over the phone. The rep stated they were doing drop off only and I asked what are people doing just walking around waiting for their car. He told me that was for me to figure out, not them.I dont want to business with them based off that statement alone. Teach your reps better customer service skills.Rudeness always equates to bad service!!

In dealing with the Manager, Ryan and his staff, they provided excellent customer service. I recently purchased a full set of tires for my 2008 Hyundai Sonata. I was very pleased with the purchase and work. Despite the high volume of incoming calls that day, the manager took the time over the phone to explain the different features for tires. Ryan was attentive to my questions without me feeling rushed. Once I selected the tires, he even called the distribution center in advance to have them shipped to the store in advance. The price of the tires beat out the price from two other competitors. Surprising, on top of that, I received a $40 rebate in the mail on my tires.As a consumer you look for the best savings along with good quality when it comes to your hard earned money. My experience at this Mr. Tire location was a “breath of fresh air”. I would refer my family and friends to this location with complete confidence!The staff are highly qualified and well trained. You’ll defiantly appreciate the knowledge from the manager and his staff. You will leave with a peace of mind knowing that your vehicle and your safety are in good hands.

I had a very good experience at Mr. Tire. I had the rear tires changed and brake fluid changed as part of routine maintenance. I knew the correct price and they were spot on. Nothing was inflated. I cam back a few days later because the warning light came on for tire pressure. No fuss or muss. Each time staff was very kind, thoughtful and respectful. That was my experience and I saw them treat others the same way. I would definitely go back.

They just want to set you up on a credit plan do not go here! The owner is in the shop, and has no idea what’s happening on a daily basis.

I hit one of Clevelands finest potholes and demolished my 2nd tire of the season. I called Mr. Tire and they quickly located a fit for my tire. They took me in as soon as I arrived and got the tire mounted on the wheel. They were professional, helpful, and provided impeccable customer service. Isaias even went the extra mile (literally!) and gave me a lift back to where my car was so I could change my tire. Great service, great experience, and great people.

I have been taking my vehicles to Mr. Tire for a few years now and have always had great experiences. Recently Isaiah and Josh provided excellent service to me when I had unexpected car problems. They were extremely helpful and so friendly. I would highly recommend Mr. Tire in University Heights from personal experience.

Very bad experience. Signed up online and when I showed up they told me it would be hours to do an oil change even though I had signed up for an appointment to wait for my car to be done. When I was finally able to find hours to have my car done they swindled me with a $30 visual check which really should have been free as part of the oil change. So I asked them to quote for a fuel air filter replacement (which is recommended by the manufacturer) and they claimed the model doesnt need that. So then they tried to have me flush fluids (not good for a vehicle, and should just be changed) for $699. My vehicle is a manual and the repair manual states it doesnt require flushing or changing of manual transmission fluids yet the mechanic insisted it should be changed every 3months like an automatic (which is false). Finally got home with my double priced oil change to find out after decifering the receipt that they gave me full synthetic oil and not high mileage oil like I requested. The service tag wasnt filled out and I basically had no assurance the proper things were done to that car at all. I called and was given the run around by the guy on the phone who then set it down and left for 3 minutes until I continuously hit a number button to get someones attention. He rudely claimed they gave me what I asked for and I assured him they didnt. I was told I could contact the manager the next morning. The manager called back later and explained that employee didnt know what he was saying about the oil and what I was given was proper and high mileage oil. I will never use this location again and suggest you take business elsewhere as well. Typical upselling for useless overpriced services.

I typically have positive experiences with Mr. Tire. They are twice as much as a smaller mechanic and only multiple occasions I’ve taken my vehicle in and they couldn’t find the problem but another mechanic was able to. For the price you pay for a diagnostic I would think they have the best equipment around. Recently I went to have my car service and one of the parts they replaced was put in incorrectly causing non-stop acceleration. Living in cleveland and having so many icy conditions I can not afford to not be able to stop my car. It was a terrifying experience. I will not be back. Great for smaller jobs like oil changes and tires. Would suggest another location for large scale repairs. The staff is nice but unfortunately that is not enough.

We have been having our cars looked after for years now at this conveniently located place. The prices are on a par with other similar services, but the staff is friendly, helpful, and they work fast. One doesnt feel like theres a mysterious thing going on while you wait - just work. And if itll take too long to be hanging around, theyll let you know so you can plan. The place is clean, and if you dont care to wait in their waiting room you can go across the street to a nearby restaurant, sandwich shop or drugstore. The last time I had to wait I used the time to hike around John Carroll Universitys campus.

I LOVE this shop! Craig, the manager, is the nicest, and most honest, guy! Last time I was here, I had a nail go SIDEWAYS, into the side of my tire....needless to say, my tire was TOAST. He called around to find me the EXACT tire.. and was ready to ship it to his shop early the next day. In the meantime, I discovered that my tire had a warranty with another company. He was SO COOL about it...he told me to take the warranty deal, as he could not beat the price, and gave me excellent advice on exactly what tire to get (request strongly) from the other company. This time around, he was able to bring me to my home, and pick me up when my service was done! Like I said before...I LOVE THIS SHOP! :)

The staff was beyond friendly service was excellent and the time between checking in and being back on the road was amazing! I’ve been coming to this shop for more than 25 years. Are they the least expensive game in town? No. However there are things that are more important than price. i have gotten amazing customer service during that entire time. Ive seen a lot of staff come and go and Craig and his team are top notch!

Ive had one good and one bad experience at this Mr. Tire location.The good: In July, I brought my car in for a routine oil change and, after they performed the standard inspection that comes along with an oil change service, the technicians notified me of some pretty severe issues with my brake pads. I.e. They didnt exist anymore. They were able to get my car in, same day, and set me up with four new sets of brake pads. The service was fast and they were really informative about the situation. The price was a little bit more than I wanted to pay, but they really helped save me from driving an unsafe vehicle.The bad: Per their website, I was able to request a service to get a specific type of tire on my car. Two weeks later, I show up and they dont carry that tire anymore. The gentleman at the desk informed me that had he received my information sooner, they wouldve called me to tell me they dont have the tires. I had made the appointment almost two and a half weeks in advance.Im sad to say, but I did become irritated with the situation, since I would have appreciated a call about not carrying those tires rather than simply receiving an email confirming my appointment with those tires. I ended up not getting new tires, and was looking to get my tires replaced somewhere else; however, I think Im going to give them another chance because of the good service and professionalism they displayed when they fixed my brakes.

Amazing staff! We were in from out of town and blew a tire as we were about to get on the highway. We had two screaming babies and were anxious to get back on the road. This team took great care of us and had a new tire on our car in no time! Thank you!!!

My tire was low and I called this location. I was scheduled immediately and the service was fast. Isaias really answered my questions and help this experience go smoothly. Nobody likes to spend extra money but its easier when great service is provided. I recommend.

Do not go here! They are dishonest and overpriced. I went in for a flat tire. My tire needed totally replaced. A $400 expense. I was then told I needed all new breaks, and quoted $800+. And an oil change that was $65+. I explained I was not prepared to spend that much that day. I was grilled as to what my plan was, and the salesperson continued to tried to pressure me into breaks. The price somehow dropped $150, but I still refused. I finally told the salesperson that I thought he was being very rude and that I did not want the breaks, but to go ahead with the tire and oil change. Today, 6 months later, I took my car to RadAir for an oil change and asked them to check my breaks. My oil change was $37. They explained my front breaks were close to needing replaced and my back breaks were fine. They are dishonest at this location, and definitely perpetuate the stereotype that mechanics try to take advantage of women.

Very happy with the quality of work and customer service from this Mr. Tire location. Was able to order specialty tires for me on extremely short notice (had them in stock next day) and installed exactly according to my preferences. Though offered, additional services were not pushed on me. Staff is very friendly and polite. Will return for future business.

I dropped the car off because the tire got a nail it in and I wanted it plugged - it’s a run flat tire and I wasn’t sure if it could get fixed. Mr. Tire called me back a couple hours later with a ridiculous quote saying I needed all 4 tires replaced $879.96, some entire flush package for $389.99 new breaks and rotors $224.99 - I took it down the street the next day to Washington and Lee and they fixed it for $25.00

As in the past, the Mr. Tire team did a great job on my vehicle. I did not have an appointment but because I have a long time relationship with them, they found a way to get me in while still meeting their commitments to other customers. Mr. Tire University Hts., Ohio always does a great job and I will continue to return; 10 years going.

The service at Mr. Tire in University Heights is outstanding. The manager Ryan was very helpful and explained what went wrong on my BMW without trying to say other things needed fixing also. The rest of the staff was friendly as I waited for the work to be completed. The work they did on my BMW was high quality work and they did not drag out the time. I have not had any issues with my car since. I will keep going to this shop.

Great group of guys! Very upfront, honest, understanding and willing to go the extra mile for their customers. Are they the cheapest shop? No but you get what you pay for and they make sure of that. The quality of the repairs are top knotch as well as their customer service. Personally I had come twice in the same week to fix my front and back breaks. During both visits I was in and out the same day with an employee taking me home and picking me up to get my car! While my front tires were off I had wanted to clean the break dust out of my wheels but forgot my spray and brush at home. When I came back to pick up my car they let me know that they had actually took it upon themselves to do it for me since the tires where already off. Will 100% come back again for future service.

Very kind, helpful, and informative staff. I was able to schedule an appointment online for the next day, and my car was ready very soon after I dropped it off. Not only that, but the staff fully and clearly explained what needed to be done to my car and worked with me to get the lowest price possible.

My brother gave me two almost brand new tires. I went to Mr. Tire to have them put on my Toyota Tacoma pickup truck. They told me itll be $20 per tire to take the old tires off, balance and install new tires. Next, they asked me if I wanted the remaining two tires balanced and if I wanted them to do an oil change. I said yes to both. Final cost for putting two tires on, oil change and balance remaining tires, $129.00. I looked at the Invoice for a breakdown of what cost what. For 50/50 synthetic/regular blend oil change it came out to be $53. Taxes, tires being installed, shop fee, and balancing wound up bringing the price to $129. Real nice guys who work there and they seemed very competent. The shop was very clean and organized.

I cannot say enough about Craig and his team. They are very professional, courteous and really seem to care. I have had both of my cadillacs repaired there and each time the repair was less than what it would have cost me at other repair facilities and the quality was outstanding. Take your car to a more reliable and more trustworthy auto repair shop. The mechanics at Mr. Tire were not initially forthcoming with their prices.They tried to hurry through the process and then blaming their computer when the proposed repairs added up to several hundred dollars less than the quoted total. Even worse, they deceptively tried to sell unnecessary repairs (for example, >$300 brake repairs when the brake pads were greater than 50% thickness, $15 battery post corrosion cleaning on a $100 diagnostic fee doesnt cover those things.EDIT: Apparently the owner reply is from a past review from buying tires before this experience.

This is the best place for any and all auto related repairs. The manager is such a fantastic guy. It is rare to come across a man like him. He will go above and beyond to provide such great customer service. I came here while I was having a really bad day (wallet stolen, credit card theft, car issue...) and the manager totally calmed me down, was so sympathetic, helped me out however he could. The next time I have to do anything with my car I am definitely going to head here!

2 Hours of my life were wasted with Mr. Tire with absolutely ZERO results to show for my wait. I made an appointment for Saturday afternoon to get ONE tire looked at and possibly fixed. They also advertise that this service is free but when I came in I was informed that it would cost me $20 to also balance my tires. Mind you I only wanted one tire looked at and I took that tire off and replaced it with a spare before I brought my car there. I waited for 2 hours, staring at my car in the parking lot. Not one of their employees even came near it and I was not given any information in that entire time about why it was taking so long. Eventually I just lost patience took my keys and left and the only thing the employees told me was Sorry its not usually this busy. I get that sometimes things get hectic but why would they purposely overbook their appointment schedule? In my opinion this location should be avoided like the plague. The price I heard them giving other people were also absolutely ludicrous. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for your car maintenance needs!!

On a Sunday at 3pm, I noticed my low tire pressure sensor was going off. I called and said they could fit me in. They had the car back to me by 4:30 with a patch on my tire. Great service.

Craig schwinghammer and his crew are very professional great management great team very passionate about their job making me feel comfortable bringing my ride there for fixing. I had zero troubles being there. This service is rare I would recommend people coming here for good service and expertise.

Craig and the team have given me great service. I always buy my tires and have brake work done here. Recently, I had a leaky tire. They could have easily sold me new tires, but instead fixed the leak for $20.Excellent service and TRUSTWORTHY.

Was able to source the tire I needed very quickly and had me back on the road in no time.

I have walked into this store on two occasions with a leaking tire, and on both occasions they were able to repair the tire at a very reasonable charge in a short period of time. I know next to nothing about tires, and if a different merchant had told me I needed a new tire, I would not have known the difference. Bottom line is this store is extremely honest and customer oriented.

In my experience, Mr. Tire is to be avoided, for its business practices and quality of work. I dropped my car off there for repair of a flat tire. When they called me back two hours later, I was given a list of other things I should consider repairing, one of which wasnt on the same end of the vehicle as the flat tire. The shop clearly looks for all things it might convince a customer to do. Even more importantly, for the flat tire, their assessment was that it needed a new sensor. After picking up the vehicle with a new sensor and paying $150 for it, I found the tire was leaking air badly. I took the vehicle back. Then Mr. Tire found that while the sensor was leaking, the tire had a cut in it that could not be repaired, and the tire needed to be replaced. The $150 I had paid for a new sensor was pointless. All they would do to compensate for that is give me $50 off a new tire. While they contested it, they should have given me a full refund for the repair that was pointless. Better yet, instead of searching my vehicle for other profit opportunities, they should have more carefully inspected the tire in the first place, to find the cut that meant the tire had to be replaced before telling me that I needed to replace a sensor. The experience was a big waste of time and money.

They are the best! I won’t ever go anywhere else to get anything fixed on my car. They also have greatly great customer service. Shout out to Isaias

Stay Away!! Go to a Real shop!..... this place is only good for buying tires. DO NOT GET ANY MECHANICAL WORK DONE, PERIOD!! The mechanics look like drug addicts & the management needs communication skills. They make short cuts on their work that needs to be done & half do it right. I called the regional management about this place.... they too are rude & only wants your money. This place should be avoided!..... they over charge & do a terrible job. Go here only if you have money to waste! They even put on a sensor for me then after they took my money, told me I didnt need it then quoted me again saying I need a timing belt & that they were willing to give me a discount as if they didnt know the real issue in the first place. These people are CROOKS! !..... 👎..... You have been warned.

I received EXCELLENT service from Mr. Tire. A former employee had ruined one of my regular tires (we rotate between snow & regular tires throughout the year) and the manager was very accommodating, honest and professional. I will definitely return in several months to begin the process again. I appreciated knowing that the employee was let go due to sub-par abilities. I was very, very impressed with the service I received at Mr. Tire.

Had my jeep serviced at this location along with my passed cars. Ryan, rob were always willing to give outstanding service. There also recommend extra services that always keep my cars running longer . I will be a life time customer because of the great service they have provided at this location.

They will try to scam you if youre young and dont know much about cars. Came in for a simple oil change and they did an entire inspection. They told me I was at 1mm of breakpad thickness when I was at 9mm. If youre a student at the university I suggest going somewhere else

Absolutely awful. I come in for new tires and after they try to sell me everything in the store I leave with four tires that all leak. When I called to tell them what happened, they said it was hard to believe that all four tires were leaking.The guy called me a liar.I called corporate and they sent me to a different store that resolved the issue. Avoid This location at all costs. For those curious, all four valve stems were not sealed correctly allowing up to 10 psi to escape from each tire daily.

I have been going to this Mr. Tire for minor jobs, such as tire replacement and oil changes for the last few years. I have never left without feeling disappointed and taken advantage of. They are constantly trying to upcharge, list issues that dont exist, and assuming that you will never know otherwise. This most recent time, they claimed they needed to charge me an additional $150 (after claiming that they lowered the price just for me) to replace a part. I then took my car to Firestone where they noted that that part did not need replaced. I have also had many friends go here and end up spending $3,000 on repairs that cost no more than $500 at any other shop. DO NOT GO HERE, you will waste your money. They assume that you know nothing.
