This is by far the best location, they always have a great selection and the store is super clean. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. It’s super easy to do an online and pick up in store order as well. I get all of my crafting supplies and decor from here. The prices are hands down the best, even over Micheals crafts. The items I have bought are very good quality and have fair prices. I have never received anything I didn’t like.

Still a good place to get a large variety of fabrics for almost any project. Plus many crafting items.

Chose fabric from clearance bin and was informed that it was was not sale. Very unfriendly clerk. Left with dark cloud over what should be a fun project... Will try Hobby Lobby on Monday.

I really wish that they had more high quality fabrics here. Many of the fabrics are polyester, rayon, or cotton and therefore they can keep the prices relatively low. If you are looking for imitation florals the prices are just astronomical for what you actually get. Pro Tip- go to the Ranch Lake Goodwill and they have a ton of floral type stuff especially vases. If you are looking for a specific floral than definitely try online first.

Nice fabric selection.Went in for nautical fabric, but they only had a couple of choices but said they are getting a wider selection now. Always helpful.. coupons are great!

I have tried to buy DMC cross stitch thread four times in the last three months at this store. This store does not keep the thread stocked well at all. In the four times I have tried to buy DMC thread recently my experience has been : First time - only one of six colors was available, Second time: 2 of four colors available, Third time: 1 of six colors available and Fourth time: Zero of 1 color available. All were different colors for different projects each time. I ended up buying my tread on-line from another source. Brick and mortar establishments complain that people shop on- line instead of in the stores - well this is why.

Fully stocked, lots to choose from, coupons, great sales. Whatever you need, Joanns has it.

I went today for the first time and the womens bathroom was disgusting. Fecal matter all over the toilet. The restrooms need better attention especially with Covid-19.

Both Gail and Linda were are super super helpful and made my experience a lot less stressful and chaotic. I definitely recommend visiting the store. The employees all seem to genuinely care. Also, because of the quarantine, do you have to wait out front in a line if there are 20 people in the store. I waited for maybe 10 minutes but it went by quickly. Just something to keep in mind but other than that my experience was awesome!

Well stocked. The cashiers were very quick. The wait at the cutting counter is often very long.

I always enjoy my visit when I come to Joanns! There is a young lady name Kari that works there. She is so kind and patient, last time I came in she was very helpful, and I walked out if the store very content with what I purchased!

My daughter and I took a sewing class here, and we really enjoyed it. Gail was our teacher, and she was great. She was very informative and patient. Learning from a real, live person is far more effective than trying to learn from an internet video. Its nice to have the personalized instruction, interaction, and be able to ask questions. My daughter is excited about sewing now, and she will be going back for another class with Gail.

Last three times we were in there the shelves were bare and no one wanted to help us. I ordered on line and was told my order was ready but only one of the five things I ordered was filled. When I said something about it the clerk told me, very nastily, well you cant trust the website. I will never order from your website again. We may never come back if the nasty tone happens again!

Very little in the way of help. Spent ten minutes in fabric yelling out hello to get someone to actually show up and cut my 8 pieces of fabric.

There were nice, helpful associates and a couple who feel like they are the mask police. As a grown woman I dont need a teenager telling me what she thinks the mask rules are or should be. The nice associates really pulled up this rating because they were so great, because the bad one was really bad.

I love doing crafts and Joanns is the store I go to first. The store in Sarasota is large and they have a great selection of different craft materials. Right now the supply of Fall decorations and supplies is very low as they are beginning to stock for Christmas items. I did find everything I needed to make some Fall floral decorations.

I gave it 2 stars only because I need to buy some items in bulk for my business but this location is most of the time under staffed and not always so pleasant. Ive even had conversations with rude managers. Its extremely rare you go and there is not a long line with a long wait. Never any sense of urgency. I do my best now to buy in store pick up or online if needed to avoid this mess of a store. Could be so much better if managment and staff cared.

At University in Sarasota has the worst attititude and if you have pickup they generally make a mistake. The South Sarasota store is fantastic! I highly recommend them!!!

Great place, its way better than hobby lobby for crafting supplies(hobby lobby is just an artsy interior decoration store anyways now). It can be pricey at times, but they constantly email you coupons so that offsets it a bit. They pretty much have everything there.

Went to the Universal Parkway store in Sarasota today and purchased some green fabric. The lady who served me was not young but had outstanding knowledge and was so helpful.... a credit to the store. She even sold me the last piece on the roll which was great. I did not get her name but she had a blue apron on which was the subject of much discussion. The whole transaction was wonderful. Thank you very much

Very clean however staff isnt very friendly. They treat you as if you are an inconvenience to them. But bravo on the cleanliness.

So, I usually go to the store at Tamiami Trail, but when shopping online this store had more things available for pick up. Anyway, I placed my pretty big order and drove all the way from BeeRidge after I got their text message... I was handed 2 pieces of ribbon😕. When I asked where was the rest of the order I was told they canceled the items as they were sold out. I never got an email, phone call, notification from the app nothing. No one ever told me anything and I drove 20 min for literally 2 pieces of ribbon. I asked the lady how come no one ever notified me about the canceled items and she stared at me with this “really?” expression. She said I was not charge for the canceled items, but guess what? I came home and checked my bank account and I was indeed charged. So now I have to deal with that too. Will stick with the Tamiami Trail store for now...

I was forced to accompany my wife to the craft store. Prior to this I was a craft store virgin. I was shocked at the array of items one can find in the store. There are some really cool items and a. Amazing collection of nearly custom paint colors in there. Customer service was very helpful the entire time.

I hate this place but my wife seems to enjoy it a lot. Occasionally I look at the receipt to see how much money we are saving by her shopping here, which makes me feel more confident about her frequent visits. Whenever she comes home from Joann Fabrics, our home is transformed overnight to reflect the approaching holiday. I prefer her shopping here than the mall nearby, thus 5 stars.

I bought some fabric to make a Mermaid costume but was able to return it when my mermaid costume arrived in the mail. They have a wide variety of fabrics and theres always something on sale. The sales associate did not greet me as i entered the store but the cashier was much friendlier and offered helpful info about their return policy.

Love their fabric supply. They always have a large variety. They have a good variety of supplies for other crafts as well.

Shopping for art supplies in what is mainly a fabric store, hoping to get lucky and not getting lucky. But since the store has crafts in the name, I hoped for a more robust selection of craft and entry-level art supplies. During my visit I noticed there was one fabric cutter and she was outnumbered by customers who wanted fabric cut.

Great selection of fabrics and the sales and coupons make it a no brained for DIY projects and supplies. The staffing is an issue however. Very store should have adequate staffing especially on weekend and even more so on weekend prior to a holiday such as Labor Day, etc. Having I wait in like for 20 minutes to get fabrics cut and another 20 minutes for a register to get checked out considering it only took me 10 to get my supplies is unacceptable. If the staffing improves it’s really a great store otherwise just plan to take off a day of work to get your sewing supplies.

Go here or the nearby Michaels for all you want in fabrics and crafting supplies. Ive racked up many points with my special girl taking her here or giving a gift card. Clean store but a measly 2 small chairs for a man to sit waiting for their girl.Also first check for online coupons, sales and download the Joanns app before going.

Do not buy anything ONLINE from this store. Walk in ONLY -Bought said in stock. They cancelled 1 day later and have NO curbside pickup and I walked in and they said there inventory system not working.

Came to this store to look for fabric for my daughters doll bed. They had so much to choose from! The staff is always helpful! Great craft store!

They had what I needed. Which was great! But everytime I go there one employee is very grouchy. And she always throws away my print out that prints after my receipt which makes me wonder if it is a survey. Be happy you have a job.

Did not have a good selection of do it yourself Christmas crafts

I went looking for something I found on the website and it said they had 12 of them. I looked couldnt find them. Asked one and was p ou United in a direction. Asked another she looked for a few minutes and someone else asked her a question and she was off. Asked the cashier to look it up. Said it was an end cap and that was. It. Left without it and will buy something else.

Pretty decent stop when you are in need of craft items. They had a lot of things on clearance where they are apparently changing out suppliers. They have good sales and always have online coupons.

Long lines, long wait times and nothing but aggravated customers. Not sure when Joanns will figure out how unhappy their customers are!! ALL LOCATIONS, ALL CITIES! Pure unhappiness to shop in these stores. Corporates answer was it is the store managers problem. Wrong again. I shop everywhere else first.

Not the best Joannes, but it works! The layout is much different at this store than any other joannes I’ve been to. Seems a little more complicated to figure out than the normal joannes. Not sure why this one does its own thing!

This is a very nice Jo-Ann Fabric Store - large selection of fabric and craft items. Its especially a good place for home decorating fabrics and supplies. Theres lots of fleece, battings, notions, etc. etc.

Customer Service could be much better.!! Lady in Fabrics seem to have an attitude.And THEY WILL NOT take your emailed coupons, even with the code to punch in. According to this store, only barcoded coupons they take. Spent 10 minutes bypassing perfectly good coupons bc of thisRule. Not happy experience at this location-

In there a few times a week and the ladies are always really nice and helpful. On the down side a lot of times that dont have enough people to help out in there so I ended up waiting for a quite a while in the cut counter and check out lines.
