I Called, I Called, I Called, I waited, I waited, I waited. Why didnt I choose another vendor that would work on this sooner? After waiting three weeks for the appointment, they didnt start the work for the first two weeks they had the boat. After the work started, I called every 2-3 days (as I had a trip to Lake Powell planned, which I communicated) Gary never knew what was going on in his shop. I Called, I Called, I Called. The bill increased 60%, then another 40%. Second increase was not discussed, rather appeared in the final bill! We did not discuss all the parts that were changed. I was visibly frustrated by the price, and expressed this to Gary. I think his other customers are so rich, they dont care about his charges.I took the boat home, hooked it up to water, and could not get it to turn over! I called the next morning and was told the mechanic used brake cleaner to start it. Am I expected to start my boat this way? Trip ruined!

Only shop I trust to service and maintain my boat. Gary has stood behind his motor since day one and has always completed services in time for planned vacations. They are a busy shop so plan accordingly for prep and service, quality service and work does not happen over night .

For all of you people that praise Gary please read this.I purchased a Eliminator Daytona with a GT 750 . The motor had 120hrs on it .I bypassed Cader Performance whom I have used for years located in Havasu for my initial service.I did this because of what the reviews said about Gary and his attention to detail. In reality that was the farthest thing from the truth.I took the boat to him as it was his motor . I asked for a full service on the motor and imco drive and to do a full overview of the boat .Check on a stiff shift lever, dual battery switch installed, a couple of underwater lights wired in and the boat detailed .My appointment was made and kept . Keep in mind I had never met Gary and only spoken to him twice. Several times I called to check on the progress during normal work hours and no one answered. When I did speak to Gary he seemed very aloof and knew nothing about the progress. I ended up driving to his shop 3 times in the 2 weeks the boat was there to see for myself what was happening. The service was done according to Gary however I was never given or even offered a computer read out on the motor. Let me cut to the chase.I picked up my boat and paid the bill to his very apologetic office staff. Garys guys helped my hook up and I was off.My boat has a cockpit cover on it . In hindsight I should have removed it and looked in.The boat did look good outside so......When I got the boat back to Havasu there was still dirty oil in the bilge, one of my issues when I brought the boat in. ( where was the oil coming from ) There was dirty oil in the valley pan under the EFI ( where the leak was that they could not find). The motor had more residue and grease all over it than when I took it there . In other words nobody even wiped it down after the service .The upholstery was never touched even though I paid $100.00 more to Gary than my detail shop in Havasu as the boat was in his shop just to have it done .There were greasy hand prints all over the drivers seat where they worked on the shifter . Again I paid a premium price to have the boat DETAILED. To this day the lights are installed but I dont know where to turn then on? While they were working on the shift cable they were using the test tank to run the motor .......This is the icing on the cake. The first time I put the boat in Havasu and I was over the dirty filthy motor, engine compartment and upholstery the boat started and ran fine . But every time I started it it made a noise that was not good. I put approx 3 hours on the boat that Saturday.,ran from the Springs to Topah and back.Sunday the boat wont start. The starter had worked itself loose as the bolts holding it in were not correct One of them was out almost 1/2 the other took 6 turns just to snug it up.Bottom line : dirty filthy engine and compartment, dirty upholstery, no way to turn on the lights, had to replace the ring gear and starter. My bill with Gary was $ 2600.00.I might as well have drained the oil in my own bilge and burned the cash. The cost to pull the motor and drive, replace the ring gear and starter was just way to much for me not to at least write this review.I have left Gary 3 messages with one 15 second return and no other returned calls When he did call back after I left this same nightmare message on his office voicemail as always no one answered.he had nothing to say accept for my to call him. in other words......... I went out of my way on his voicemail to tell him if I was a prick I would dispute the credit card charge but I just dont do things like that . My friends all thought lets say differently, but I let it go.I just wanted to thank all of his regular customers that filled his reviews with B/S as it was proven to me that none of the good things said about him applied to me.Good luck Gary, obviously he forgot where he started and thank you for your concern!
