Went to Cherokee for wood turning. They have a variety of 2x2 thick blanks in different lengths. You can also call and have bowl blanks prepared. If you are into laminating wood to turn they have an entire wall of exotic wood sold by the foot. The hard part is nothing has prices but the front desk came and was patient as we asked about prices. Just getting started in wood turning and this was way cheaper then the blanks available at wood craft stores.

This outfit is great. I ordered a set of four hard wood shelves for an office remodel. Great price, fast shipment. Cant wait to finish them and hang to display all my lovely books. Will be using again for any project needs!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Very let down. Their products are great. But their customer service, which their website says they pride themselves on… was none existent. I was given a incorrect price quote over the phone and drove up from San Diego to get the materials. When I arrived the sales staff was none helpful and gave me a quote of double what it had been. They said they did not know who gave me the previous quote over the phone and did not offer to help me finding out who the individual was either. Instead they told me to go pull blindly from their floor stock. They came off as arrogant, dismissive and like I was not worth their time. I felt like they could care less about me because I was a small sale. Stay away from the kid with the nice beard. He may look helpful but I guarantee you he cares more about putting some beard oil on in the men’s restroom then he does about the customers.The very bald old man who looks like he is going through chemo therapy and chain smokes is evenworse, very dismissive. Sad experience. Very let down. Won’t come back. Do yourself a favor and go to Ganahal or Austin hardwoods. They are still family owned as welland actually care about customer service.

Chris Reid was able to identify our wood which was really unique and mill extra boards that matches a 75 year old wall perfectly. I was so impressed with his extraordinary work. We may replace other boards that were done incorrectly. He did a fantastic job. The millwork was perfect.

So I ordered baseboard from Cherokee a couple days ago. Today I get a call from them saying that they can’t fill the order unless I pay twice the price I have an invoice for.Sounds like old used car dealerships.

I ordered 5/8 stair nosing to match the engineered flooring we are installing (which was a tough thickness to find in Toronto, Canada for some reason, especially in white oak).Chris made the ordering process easy and responded to my initial email inquiry the same evening. Ive been fortunate to always find the type of wood Im looking for when I visit.As far as their staff goes, Ive had the pleasure of being helped by Josh Webb multiple times, and the level of professionalism and respect he shows is much appreciated; these characteristics are very telling of what management and ownership must be like: great hire!I have a many more wood projects to complete, so I will definitely be going back to Cherokee Wood Products many more times.

The worst customer service! I bought plywood full sheet size, they only willing to cut 1 time. On the wall there’s note this place is not Home Depot, they will not cut as our request size. I asked the guy on the counter to cut 2 times because didn’t fit into my car. He gave me attitude and blame me why I purchased it. That’s just absurd. Will not come back. Horrible!!!

I have purchased cherrywood and hard maple in the past, the quality was excellent and the shipping extremely fast. In both occasions I order S2S and SL1E and both were surfaced perfectly. Great selection as well, highly recommend them.

I went to this place first time to get some wood for a project. I picked up some maple boards but the quality of their wood is just ok. You have to dig the stacked pile of wood to get a good one with no splits or knots. So, I went in line to pay and this old bald guy behind the counter yelling to his paying customer saying GO CLEAN UP THE MESSED YOU MADE! What he was yelling to his customer is that the 8/4 of boards that was on their floor he wants this customer to go back there and stacked them neatly and straighten them up. That was absolutely unacceptable and very rude to tell that to your buying customer. So, instead of paying for the wood I picked up I just left and walk away. This place they dont have respect for their customers.

Great selection of domestic and imported hard wood, and much more. They have dozens of different plywood, moldings etc. Speciality detail fineal,edge banding, supplies and a few tools. Their pricing is competitive for the market, and varies with the commodities market. Be prepared to wait in line if your a Saturday customer. Great place.

This is the place to go when you need material to make custom cabinets yourself or for a contractor. This is not your Home Depot/Lowes place. The staff is busy, seem to be irritated by your questions and ready to help the professionals that frequent the place. If you are a novice or the average home owner, be ready to deal with their attitude. Open an account and get the discount and pricing the contractor does. Great showroom and stock. They have plenty of options to make your dream closet or kitchen cabinets.

Horrible place.. The older bald guy is the worst. The staff jokes around While I waited for them to finish and actually acknowledge me. Their prices as selection are subpar. I was looking for Black Walnut but all they had was poorly milled and cracked pieces.. avoid this place, I found a better spot in Fontana with weekly specials, lower prices and better selection. Peterman lumber in Fontana.

CWP Messed up shipping on an extremely expensive, time sensitive order by shipping under the wrong Pro number, this in turn caused shipping delays. Product arrived late and instead of being professional and working to compensate for their mistake, they claim because the delivery date was verbal and not guaranteed its not their fault. Beware when buying anything with this company, they will play word games and hide behind terms like due diligence. Will NEVER use them again and will tell anyone who asks to NOT use them.

This is the second time I have ordered from CWP hard maple for a butcher block cutting board table, both times I ordered on line and when I went to pick up the quality was excellent perfect with no splits or defects of any kind, in fact on this last order I requested boards that were 6 plus wide and at least 5 long because I was going to cut them down to 19, when I went to pick up I saw that they had done the extra work and cut them to length for me!!! You are the best.

This is a lumber shop, although the price here is slightly more expensive, but you can find a lot of good materials.
