I used to come here twice a week minimum, the food was well above average and the service was friendly. The manager however is very mean and unappreciative. Further the pandemic made us order in more. Wow, their prices are about 40 percent higher for all menu items, and thats before any additional costs from the app, driver tip, etc. They are also totally inept at fulfilling the orders. They run out of stock but refuse to cancel items. Once they replaced my item with a duplicate of another item I already ordered, which was nonsensical, but worse still both items were undercooked and inedible. Last time I ordered a 10 sandwich and they only had 6 rolls. I said well cant you just use two rolls? They cut the 10 in half anyway. Nope! Then they said they couldnt cancel the item, and I should replace it with something that costs the same amount. I ended up spending $17 on a 6 roast beef sandwich. The product is decent but not good enough to put up with this garbage. The manager is always sad and stressed, and it shows in her service!

First and last time well be shopping here.As many reviewers have stated the owner of this establishment is terribly rude and treats her customers with absolutely no respect. Long time Upland native and always passed by this location since before it was a dance studio or even now a deli and wanted to check it out. Well went in on my wifes birthday because she loves cheese and wanted to get a few varieties of cheese, to create a platter. Owner was rude to her on not just one but three seperate interactions with her, even placing another customers sandwich on top of the counter in between her and the nice lady helping us at the time. Long story but well rather shop somewhere not full of bitterness that unnecessarily leaves us in a lowered mood from our initial state upon entering.

I went in today and was treated very poorly. The owner, a rude salt and pepper haired woman with a loud mouth and visibly judgmental attitude, drove me out of the store after I had started to place an order at the meat counter. The girl working the counter was very nice and informative, as I let her know that this was my first time in the shop and am, admittedly, not well versed in the meat and cheese varieties that were being offered. Cue the rude owner who was unhelpful and unwilling to meet my (the customers) needs. She even made snobby remarks and facial expressions as she read through my order. After verifying with the nice employee that that horrible woman was the owner, I canceled my order and walked out. I will not be spending my hard earned money here and neither should you!

A very impressive deli with an amazing menu. The fresh pasta is a must!! Staff is very friendly and helpful And theres lots to look at. Small parking lot but theres street parking. There is a small outdoor patio which is nice. I look forward to returning a d updating my review.

No masks worn by any employees despite dealing with food. Didnt have any bread of any kind in stock. Cute shop but disappointing.

Fresh pasta, salads, cookies, specialty desserts and drinks, killer hot and cold subs, complete with a small but beautiful Italian market= you cant go wrong.

Excellent friendly family team operate and run this place. Always a smile at all times. I have only been here 3 times but that is in 2 weeks. The Padua Italian Sandwich is Amazing. They also have Italian specialties like Eggplant And Lasagna that I will be ordering for a family get together next week. If I could give 10 stars I would!

Great staff. Amazing pasta. Great lunch specials. The desserts are super bomb, and if you wanna make pizza they have everything from the dough to fancy cheeses to stop and a nice selection of drinks. During the epidemic, they even were selling small staple groceries to help out. Just a great place all in all.

Had the hot sandwich turkey breast 10. It was a beast but it stood no chance. The bread is warm and has a nice crisp that youd get from a fuji apple.

I have gone back since I last rated Padua Pasta Makers and they have greatly improved their customer service. The employees are polite, helpful, and friendly. The atmosphere is wonderful and welcoming and the food is even better. I cant wait to go back!

Quality pasta! Store bought pasta is fine. But Paduas fresh made pasta is a different level. Makes you realize there is a world of difference between store and fresh made pasta.

Nice family owned and operated restaurant/Delicatessen. They offer home made Pasta, gnocchi, pasta marinara sauce, ravioli, home made calzone Bread (shall I continue?) deli meats, cheeses, sodas, wine and an assortment of homemade goodies that I can’t even start to mention.I ordered a pepperoni calzone that came with pasta sauce $8.95!!!! Are you kidding me, I thought it was a typo (look at the size of this monster in my pics)The people are super nice and the service is great also.Bathrooms are amazing and clean (I’m talking 5 star Hotel private bathroom nice)Oh yah and the food is really good also

Excellent American Potato Salad - one of the best Ive ever had - worth the drive if you are far away and want excellent potato salad. Great macaroni salad. Great, fresh garlic bread. Lemon bar was great. Cannoli is pretty good. Lasagna was pretty good.

I visited this place around 2 PM. I was looking for fresh fettuccine for a special occasion that day. They have different kinds of fresh paste but fettuccine. I mean come on.. After may be lasagna and spaghetti noodles, this must be the most commonly wanted kind of noodles. Yet they told me to coma back more than 2 hours later. Instead I went to Sprouts store and their version of fresh-ish pasta and called it the day. I am still cursing waiting close to 30 minutes in line outside, on a busy day, when I should be working on the dinner plans. Probably not gonna visit again.

As high quality as their raw materials are, the pre-made pasta is severely overpriced. Ended up paying $17 for a plate of pasta I had to modify at home with spices due to the blandness.

Im gonna say this as sincerely and honestly as I can,padua has the best sandwich Ive ever eaten .I get the roast beef .cold.its the perfect symmetry between bread and meat,cheese, lettuce, tomato,mayo, mustard .its so clean. and the flavor is perfect .oddly enuff not even a 10 inch will suffice .its so delicious u wanna get two.and somehow youre not completely stuffed .its amazing.i absolutely recommend this place for all they have to offer .fast friendly clean and delicious.

Theyre California Italians and dont know what Real East Coast Antipasto Salad.I understand what youre saying, and I understand that you want to put your style and spin on something, and thats great. However, Im from New York and Ive been around some authentic Italians, and Ive never seen an Italian put Pasta in a Antipasti Salad. It still tasted good, but its something that Im not used to it.

My husband was craving lasagna, a good lasagna. I searched Google and found Padua pasta Makers, I figured if the pasta is freshly made, then the lasagna has to be good. I was wrong, he did not like it. He said it was watery and has no flavor. That is the only thing we ordered, so I cant comment on anything else.

I cant think of a better place to have Italian food than here. The menu is all fresh made with love.

A pricey sandwich thats worth the money. Theyre using the real deal in terms of of the meat and cheese, and they bake their own bread daily (we live next to the shop, and the smell in the morning is heavenly.) If you want an absurdly huge selection, go to Claros. If you want quality over quantity, go to Padua.

Ordered a sandwich to go and after getting home and trying it I can without a doubt say its amazing. Prosciutto is piled high but not to much as we all know that would make the sandwich to salty, tomato is fresh and cheese is liberally added with just a hint of vinaigrette. This is a well balanced amazing tasting pice of art. I havent even made it to the dessert yet!Id also like to add that the staff was very friendly and professional!

Freaking amazing sandwiches! A bit pricey at 8.95 for a 10 inch but the quality of everything and amount in it easily justifies the price.

This place is the BEST. The sandwiches?? My god they know how to do it. Honestly the best meatball sub I’ve ever had. The staff is unbelievably friendly and that alone will bring me back. I highly recommend checking them out if your in this area!

Wonderful little place focused on an Italian deli and corner store. It is charming, well organized, and designed. Not many off the shelf items from Italy, serving a lot more like decorations. Its clearly a deli more than a store for canned or bottled goods. The deli has cold sides (salads: greens, pastas, and potato), cold cut deli meats, pastas (cooked and raw), desserts, and some cold and hot sandwiches. Its good for a quick bite or to pick up items that I listed by the pound. Definitely going back.

Awesome food. Its usually busy during lunch time, but they move very fast and you can call in your orders. Great for me because I work across the street at the PO. Love this place. 👍

This little bodega is amazing. This was my first time coming in and it will not be the last for sure. Fresh pasta selections were amazing, artisanal preserves, and the desserts all looked unbelievably good. I got a roast beef sandwich and it was by far the best roast beef Ive ever had loaded up with heaps of beef that was juicy and flavorful.

I ordered catering for a 60-person event, a week in advance. The staff was helpful, giving useful advice on how to optimize our selection. They were accommodating to some small changes we asked for. When I arrived to pick it up, it was ready on time, and the staff quickly helped me load it into my car. Several guests at the event asked where the food came from, because they enjoyed it so much.Overall a great experience, great service, great food.

Loved finding another local Italian deli like we had in my little town in NY. A bit different than Claros Markets in food variety and smaller selections, but still excellent. Very modern, clean and safe. Loved finding my marinated artichoke hearts with the long stems in a jar from Italy, very hard to find. Got lasagna hot meals, giant calzones, fresh homemade pastas. Wonderful bakery, had pumpkin filled cannoli! Just missing my favorite pasticcioti for dessert and Lumbrusco wine to go with lasagna dinner. Yummy homemade egg, tuna and chicken salads too, deli meats and cheeses. Delicioso! Buon appetito!

The Padua special is packed with meat. The bread was fresh baked. I could actually taste the cheese in my sandwich unlike other places where the cheese is paper thin. Great taste. The 6 was way more than enough. I got the lunch box but never will again. I dont think it was worth the extra $3. It comes with a very small pasta salad, a slice of pickle and a sweet treat. I thought the sweet treat would at least be a cookie but instead I got a little piece of chocolate. The employees are super friendly and nice. The location is very clean. I found my new sandwich place. Goodbye subway.

Great place for lunch! I love the Padua Special. The pasta is great here, and look out for all the special treats and desserts they sell. I usually get something sweet to add to my lunch. As the name suggests, they also sell fresh made pasta. Highly recommended, though it can get a little busy around noon on weekdays. A small parking lot on the grounds itself, but you can park across the street for free.

I hope the owners read this, I went in on Thursday for their weekly pasta special it was about 5pm, 2 hours before their closing time. When I tried to order the girl behind the counter said they were all out. Im a bit confused how does a restaurant that makes the pasta/sauce run out of food 2 hours before they close. I feel like this girl just didnt want to help me.

Also, as you check out they always have homemade cookies that I have found to be quite yummy!The young ladies behind the counters are always nice and very helpful..

All the stuff here is scratch made and delicious! Tons of different pasta to choose from too. They also do lunch/sandwiches although Ill note that they are quite thick. The salami one (Padua Special) is big on the meat. Not necessarily bad depending on who you are, of course.Overall Id highly recommend this place for lunch, pasta dinners, cookies, breads, cheeses.... whatever!

Awesome food and coffee

Happen to be working in the area and saw this place and decided to give it a try. I had the hot turkey sandwich and that might be the best sandwich I’ve ever had!! I will definitely be coming back top quality and a very very clean Environment.

I always go there to get their fresh baked bread. They have amazing sandwiches on rolls in 2 sizes. Their Italian foods look good although we havent tried them yet. Parking may be tough so I always park across the street and dont have to worry about it.

They have the best eggplant Parmesan with garlic bread for lunch on Wednesdays. Theres spaghetti and meatballs are also very good. They have homemade pasta and salads. Sandwiches are yummy! Right across from the Upland post office.

I used to like this place. I stopped coming here because service was always rude. Tried it again and same poor experience. It doesnt matter how quality or quaint you try to present a location. Never let it get to your head. Customer service should always be present. Or maybe try to keep your problem employees away from the public if theyre going to be rolling their eyes and hesting EVERY time they take an order from a paying customer.
