The Original Goodie Shop did both of my Mothers 70th birthday cakes, and they were absolutely beautiful, and tasted delicious! Thank you.

I needed a cake and special request coconut cupcakes for my Moms 75th birthday party after she had just gotten home from several weeks in the hospital. The Goodie Shop came through for us with wonderful cake/cupcakes. The week before was my birthday which we had to celebrate in the hospital. One of my best friends had Goodie Shop mixed flavor cupcakes delivered to the hospital. The cupcakes were really delicious! Im always happy to find a cupcake bakery that still offers desserts with REAL buttercream icing. Very pleased. Thanks so much Goodie Shop!

We came a bit late in the day, so most of the popular items were all gone! I recommend coming early, to get what you want and need.Everything we got was pretty good and pretty different than many other bakeries. The little bite sized treats were fairly inexpensive and so, we got to try a few different things. Theres plenty of parking in their open lot and other shops surrounding the area to visit.Staff was really nice and accommodating. The shop is a bit small, but cute and comforting. You can tell that everything is made in house and not manufactured. They sell cakes, cookies, pastries, donuts, and various other things.I really enjoyed their message wall because it was uplifting and positive!I wanted to try more items, but the items that we came for were sold out. I look forward to coming back!

For our sweet-as-pie theme first birthday for our son, the Original Goodie Shop did not fail to impress!! It even tasted as amazing as it looked, and am happy I went with this delicious all-buttercream frosting over a fondant cake elsewhere.. I personally like my cakes to taste delicious, as much as look good. The prices and service cannot be beat either. I will turn to them for every occasion going forward.

Been going here since I was a child and I believe my dad was going here for years before that! Best donuts and baked goods. Always a favorite of ours. The cinnamon sticks are amazing. Literally can’t say a bad thing about this place.

My favorite place to get a glazed donut in Columbus. They have a French Danish that just melts in your mouth. The only issue is you better get there early or they will be sold out.Update 9/12/18The donuts are good but not great. They don’t melt in your mouth anymore. I don’t know if they changed their recipe or bakers. Just not the same which is disappointing because they were the best.

The best cake, cookies and treats!

Coming here since I was little. The bakery and icing smell takes me way back. We always have our birthday cakes made here. Their longjohns, or thats what they were called, are still the best and sell out fast. I want to order a dozen just for myself. Mainly the chocolate and maple iced versions, yum!! Cookies are good and they often carry some very old style cookies on special occasions. Ex. Springerlees, cutouts, etc. Even selling King cakes soon. They sell single cake pieces as well. Not sure if its unsold cakes or what but theyll definitely satisfy a sweet tooth. I was so saddened when this place posted an out of business notice a couple of years ago, but breathed a sigh of relief when a previous owner bought back many items and reopened. I remember the community rallied some funds to help them buy back some of the sold equipment. Either way Im so so glad its still there.

Over rated bakery. Over priced as well. Has gone way down hill since located on Riverside Dr. Typical I guess when prior generations create a business and the kids or grand kids take it over. Here is their latest work of a jelly doughnut. This used to be a staple at the Goodie Shop. This local bakery is a family favorite for us, not only is the staff friendly and welcoming, the sweets are the best in town. Ive also ordered some pretty challenging cake designs for kids birthdays and they always knock it out of the park - not to mention, all designs are done in the best tasting buttercream frosting youve ever had!And this team goes above and beyond for its customers - Most recently, we ran into a miscommunication with a birthday cake order - at 4pm on Friday I called to confirm pickup and there was no record of the request (other than an email I sent after my initial call with inspiration pics for the theme). At this point, it could have gone one of two ways... but instead of turning me away with apologies, the team chose to make it happen and my son was overjoyed when he saw his monster truck birthday cake the next day! Im a loyal customer for life and couldnt be more appreciative of your empathy and willingness to go the extra mile!

I have not officially gone to this place but had some surprise goodies delivered to my house from a family member. The presentation of the delivery was clean and very cute, and the goodies themselves were mouthwatering - you cant get enough.Although I have not been there in person, I believe the people who work there are incredibly kind. Without saying too much, the delivery I received included a very sweet note, unplanned by my family member.

Great donuts!!! We have come for years and love their donuts and baked goods. We have bought 3-4 cakes from them and we are never disappointed. Keep it up.

My grandson, Sam LOVES my French toast made with your apple cinnamon bread.One time, the Goodie Shop was closed and I didn’t have a loaf. My husband said Sam wouldn’t know the difference and got some other bread from the bakery at the grocery store.Sam was so excited when he saw that I had made it for him.....until he took a bite. He didn’t say anything but his little eyes welled up with tears. It wasn’t even close to his Nina’s French toast.BTW, your apple cinnamon bread with a little real butter makes EXCELLENT regular toast too!

As soon as we scheduled our wedding, my husband and I knew The Goodie Shop had to be a part of it. They are our favorite neighborhood bakery, and their cookies, cakes, and other sweet treats never disappoint!The process of ordering and designing our wedding cake with Debbie was a lot of fun, and the cake tasting was delicious! It was wonderful to see Emilie and Miranda on our wedding day, as they delivered the cake and arranged the flowers so beautifully. It looked exactly as we had envisioned. Several of our out-of-town guests exclaimed that it was the best wedding cake they’ve ever tasted — our local guests already knew how delicious it would be, since The Goodie Shop is a longstanding favorite among our friends :)We selected their vanilla cake with almond icing, and it was so yummy, as is everything else from The Goodie Shop!

The Goodie Shop is a classic institution and theres a reason. Its great! They have a wide selection of baked goods and the staff is wonderful. The cinnamon sticks are fantastic.

Best bakery, hands down. Always take a large order to my kids who have moved out west and need their Goodie Shop fix. Staff is always helpful.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The cake looked good but the people were extremely rude, falsely informative (the price changed 3 times), just an absolutely despicable experience that put a real damper on what should’ve been a nice stress free evening. Sickening that they treat their customers like this.

Been coming here since I was two years old and it always gives me nostalgia when I stop by. Moved around the United States tons throughout my life but this is hands down the best bake shop I’ve ever been to! Everything I’ve tried is great, especially their frosted cookies and cinnamon sticks.

I used The Original Goodie Shop for a selection of desserts for my wedding. I got a few of practically every item they carried. Putting in the order was so casual and friendly, and they had it ready when I needed. Great service.I was too distracted on the day of the wedding to try any of them, but when I got back from the honeymoon a week later, there were some left over, and they were *still* delicious. I definitely recommend this place for anything from a casual doughnut to a larger wedding order like mine.

Best donuts, cookies, cakes ever

I am so disappointed with the gender reveal cake I ordered. I purposefully choose a simple design and they still messed it up. The cake was supposed to be pink and blue and instead it was red and blue. I posted a pic of what I wanted and what I got. When I called about it they said they noticed the color dried wrong and STILL LEFT IT LIKE THAT! They said giving me $5-10 off was the best they could do. Extremely unprofessional and they lack pride in their craft. I was even expected to get my own ice cream cone as part of the design. Never again!

This box of donuts a sales rep brought in to the office was full of premium choices, couldnt have picked a bad donut. I had the apple fritter and it was terrific, still warm and perfectly balanced.

Our office has a weekly donut club. We sample donuts from around the city. A co-worker brought donuts in from here. By far the best we have had!

I grew up on the best cookies and pastries in Columbus from the Tremont Goodie Shop, and now my children love it too! We no longer live in Arlington, but are more than willing to make the trip! The smiley face cookies are still my favorite!

I recently went with a couple of friends because I have never been to the Goodie Shop before and I must stay I was upset it took me this long to find about it! It was AMAZING! I got a ho-ho cupcake, sugar cookie and apple pie square for myself and I picked up a butterscotch roll and chocolate chip cookie for my boyfriend. Needless to say I will be going back again very soon! The women who were working were very sweet and you could tell they love what they are doing each day! If you live in the area and havent been, shame on you! I would drive a hour for this place but luckily its only 20 minutes away for me!

Can’t beleive it took me so long to come here when it’s just a short drive from my house! Having a packing party for my move back home and wanted to offer an array of treats. Came in and was greeted with a smile and she was so patient when I asked questions about what was in things or what they tasted like. Wish I came here sooner, it will be one of the many things I miss about Columbus! 💕 I recommend the pecan “elephant ear”. I can’t remeber the name of it but it was so tasty and I was tempted to hide it from everyone while they were distracted with the other yummy treats lol. This is a great bakery! 🍰
