To start:They have Horrible customer service. The main lady with red hair has the worst attitude and I feel bad for her employees that work under her. What a negative experience. I have given plenty of my money to this place in the past and will not give a cent more. Anyone that is reading this knows that the red haired lady probably has no friends and hates her life and likes to take it out on employees, and customers. I support small business but, not this one. Please spend your money elsewhere if you are looking for these types of products.

I visited about two to three weeks ago, very excited to check it out, as their hours are very spotty and random. Ive been to other crystal and metaphysical shops before, and I will say they have an OK selection. I purchased a few things, about $50 worth, and all of my crystals were packaged together with their cards thrown into the bag, so it was fun trying to determine what was what when I got home. (especially with the money and care that was spent picking them out, I would think to individually bag them would be courtesy). it was a cute, small place that has lots of potential but there was stuff EVERYWHERE. the organization was terrible, and difficult to navigate the store. Nothing seemed to really have a place, and everything was kind of thrown together. I do not recommend the handmade incense, the sticks we purchased were very weak smelling and didnt give the pleasures of burning incense. Much better off buying from China. the Woman at the register seemed very fake, and almost flew off the handle when I was paying and said I was hovering when I was just waiting to take my card out? it was extremely rude, and will prevent me from ever returning to this store. not to mention the door watcher employee who stood there watching everyone and was also very rude in answering customer questions. it was quite the opposite of anything I have experienced in a shop like this, and did not get a welcoming vibe or experience. highly recommend any other shop or even the internet before coming here, but chances are theyll be closed anyway.

Wonderful little shop full of crystals, semiprecious stones, incense in a huge variety of scents, jewelry, a small library of new age books and very friendly staff happy to answer questions.

They are extremely nice and helped me, q beginner, learn some about crystals. I talked about the things I knew, and they told me their experiences and helped me learn more about them. They seemed to know all the crystals on a personal level, and it was extremely welcoming. I got a Tigers eye pendulum there, and the cashier told us some about her experiences with tigers eye.

Eh you decide on this one..We stopped in as it was a beautiful little witchy crafty spiritually looking store.We were on the hunt for a frying pan cast iron preferably and thought that this store may have been a thrift store of sorts.The service was nice but if you picked up an item and looked at it but did not purchase it you have to place it on a plate for it to be washedSo the question at hand is this for covid or for Spiritual cleansing. Since this is not explained to you as the consumer ......it seems to be a real wonky experience.

I really enjoyed this shop. The staff were very helpful. There is an amazing selection of gemstones, handmade candles and incense. Great books, tarot and oracle cards too. Ill be going back.

Wasnt welcoming at all. If youre out running errands with your kids dont stop here cause youre not allowed to bring them in on top of the door is locked when I try to enter. Put a mask on my child and the door gets locked behind us. Major fire hazard that should be reported. Spray our hands. Fine. We did it. Then came the list of rules about what we touch and where to put it etc. By that time daughter didnt want to look at Crystals and I didnt want to buy anything. Two stars since merchandise seemed decent and shop girl was at least polite.

Its disappointing to see so many people upset with a business who takes public health seriously. Plenty of people in our community have died from either COVID-19 or COVID complications-- so its a given that they would be attentive. Ive gone to Beads N Botanicals for the past 4 years (2017) on and off. Every time I have been in the store, the owner was always available and responsive if people had questions and complaints, even during busy hours. The store is always clean and well kept with a warming scent that makes me feel comfortable. All of the extra workers are willing to take their time and help you find something that helps you. I hope that if anyone is on the fence on whether to go or not, I suggest you go for the experience. A family member suggested this place to me and I can be sure in saying that Im not disappointed.

When I came into the store I was greeted by a worker who was incredibly kind to my boyfriend and I. But the owner was very rude to her AND other customers who wanted to come in, which made the whole experience unpleasant for us. I just didn’t enjoy how she treated people, made me leave right away and not even want to support the business. I would give one star but the one employee was very kind.

We love this store, especially our daughter.Great selections. My review has both good and bad things. I love supporting a small business and thats exactly what I was trying to do today. But here is how our trip to this shop went.The reviews about having the door locked until you have a mask on are true. Which I understand but its not legal to lock a door during business hours per OSHA. There has to be a better way to protect the customers and staff. To be clear, I am 100% on board with taking precautions, I didnt even mind the spritz of sanitizer on my hands, its actually welcoming because I feel they are taking good steps to protect me. But keeping a door locked during business hours is flat out not legal per OSHA.The next thing is the selection, very good stuff to pick from and a huge variety of stones, books, herbs, and random odd things at prices Ive come to expect from similar shops in other towns. I loved the selection! Not much in beads tho but I wasnt there for those. I only wish there was more room to have more items out!This could have been a 4 star review (because of the locked door making me nervous) but at the end something Ive never experienced happened. During our time inside, the owner followed us around a little bit and kept showing us things (I tried to avoid touching things I wasnt buying because of COVID). Which was nice but felt a little tiny bit like hovering over us.At one point she showed us a book I really wanted but I couldnt afford it, my sister looked at it too and also decided against it so she put it back on the shelf. After having spent close to $45 (between us both) we were heading out. As I left the shop owner called out my name (she had just written it on a card for return purchases) hey Angie. Where did that book go? I was stunned so I kind of said it went back on the shelf? Thankfully the other gal backed me up since she saw my sister put it back.I felt very confused and looking back, she might have thought I stuffed it in my mini backpack/purse since I was carrying it instead of wearing it (I was afraid of knocking stuff over). Which I guess I understand but it really left a sour feeling in my soul. I felt like I was accused of stealing which I would never do, especially with a small business. It just genuinely hurt my feelings.2 stars because the girl managing the door was super nice and sweet and the store vibe was great until I was leaving. Unfortunately I dont think Id want to return anytime soon. I just was made to feel like I did something wrong which is so unfortunate. :(Edit: if you look at the responses from the owner, they never give a genuine apology. To the owner; You flat out thought I was stealing and are acting like you just wanted to know where it went. The tone you used was NOT questioning where it was, it was accusatory. Please take the time to give genuine empathetic apologies instead of taking it all as an attack. As a Business owner, this is your responsibility.

The owner was rude to us when we entered with our 4 month old baby. The way she yelled at us telling us we can’t bring her in just gave us bad vibes. The other bad reviews about her are very accurate. Definitely felt uncomfortable

I always love coming here for tarot readings and buying crystals for my own craft. Absolutely wonderful staff that are always bright and smiley when you walk through the door. I would highly recommend going here and checking it out. Im hoping to stop by for the first time since the pandemic started.

Entering this store is positively overwhelming. The first thing you notice is the overpowering scent of the incense and botanicals and this reason is enough to stick around but there is so much more. There are so many little knick knacks and baubles that you never knew you needed. The books usually keep me enthralled for a long time just flipping through them. There is so much in there to learn about and the proprietor (Catherine?) Is so nice and helpful that i spend so much time talking to her Im sure she gets tired of me being there. Its one of the more unique stores in the area.

I love the owner, Catherine. She is fun and fantastic!! I feel the absolute safest in her store by how seriously she is treating the COVID pandemic. She has great products at great prices but I still cant leave without racking up a bill of at least $100😅

A lovely shop. One of my favorites in town! The staff are warm and welcoming. I felt safe as all staff are responsible community members and require masks. I will definitely be heading back soon.

Normally, I love to explore crystal shops in every new town I go to. I had high hopes about this one because of other reviews. However, it was only the bad reviews that were accurate about this shop. Store was locked in the middle of the day, owner wasn’t welcoming at all. She approached the door and gave us an unwelcoming look and first told us to adjust our masks or else she was not unlocking the door. She immediately told us to hold out our hands to be sprayed and then said to flip them over because “we touch stuff with this side of our hands” in a condescending manner. She was bossy and rude - telling us condescending things like we can’t go behind the counter and proceeded to follow us in the store, watching what we do and said a total of 4 times that “if we touch anything, we must put the items on the plate”. A few short moments after, we left. I wish I hadn’t wasted my time or gas money to come here. Store was messy with high prices - which is whatever. The majority of our bad experience came from the obnoxiously rude way we were treated by the owner Catherine Novak, middle aged lady with medium length red hair. It was uncomfortable and we could only bare a few minutes here. Waste of time. To other crystal shoppers, save your time, energy and money and explore other places. I hope this helps others!

They are forcing babies to wear masks in the store which could suffocate them! Children under 2 are not supposed to wear masks because risk of suffocation and SIDS.

This is one of my favorite stores in town. Catherine, the owner, and her staff, are always friendly and welcoming. The shop had a great variety of items for all sorts of hobbies; jewerly making, bead crafts, incense, candles, gems, and books. The classes offered are thorough and well led. Its a great place to stop in and learn something new and have friendly conversation! Wonderful local shop!

I love this store and its great having a shop like this here in town. I went to pick out a crystal and was told to look until something spoke to me and I found exactly the stone that I needed. This women here are great and I hope to come in soon for a reading.

I loved the store. We visited this store while in vacation and really wish we would have been there longer. The staff was very nice and friendly and they had a wide array of goodies. Y’all literally ruined my day

Well first of all.. Their only open 4 Days out of the week. So I really had to work around my schedule to get a Tarot card reading from beads and botanicals.And the Reading was Very general and Such Basic information. She also kept asking me Questions during the Tarot card Session. In my personal opinion it didn’t seem Legit.And she kept forcing me to do some type of session that costed $500 each Session? Like Come on Lady!?!I wouldn’t recommend this Place

This is a great place for incense, and essential oils. Have been coming here since they moved to this location from Hoopeston. Also if you find yourself in need of a reading they can do that as well. Come in with an open mind and enjoy the smells.
