Mr. Blakeney worked on my 89 F-150 for almost 4 months to get it back right after I had let it sit up for a few years. It had gotten pretty bad and almost $3500 later, he got it back running. I gave him free range to address anything but he shared everything he encountered with me first. I had computer issues, injector issues, throttle issues, fuel pump & system issues, A/C issues and starter issues. Hes slow but hes thorough and hes a do it right the 1st time, old school kinda mechanic. If you want a rush job, you wont get it here! If you want an efficient job, hes your man.
First of all, I don’t normally leave reviews.I inherited my father-in-laws truck, a 98 Dodge Ram. The second day I had it, it died on me in a parking lot. I had the hood up, trying to figure out what the deal was, when nice guy came up and offered to help me. He said his name was Lou. He spent about 25-30 minutes with me trying to figure it out, when he definitely did not have to, even while his girlfriend waited in the car.We couldn’t get it started, but he told me he worked for 4 Blakeney’s Auto Repair. Obviously I was going to take my truck to the shop where the guy who spent 25 minutes of his own time on his off day to help me out.Towed the truck out to 4 Blakeney’s, and let me tell you that the customer service and welcoming we received would’ve been enough to keep me coming back. Larry was very nice, as was his daughter.Truck ended up needing a new alternator, which I had them replace. I was lucky the alternator went out because the truck had no oil in it and I wasn’t aware of it. They ended up replacing a hose with a leak as well (at no charge).I won’t ever use another auto shop. 4 Blakeney’s really went above and beyond for me, and you’d better believe that’s who I will send anyone who asks to from now on.And Lou…I appreciate you man.
They are super professional but kept a small town feel. Nice people, good quality work done by John! I had him install a full suspension on my 2020 Tacoma. Great place to do business! Good prices as well!- Shane
Best auto shop in all Valdosta,Ga you better believe thy
I requested the owner Mr. Blakeney check my car engine to make sure it was worth doing this overhaul or just replacing the engine before spending this much money to overhaul it! I used this business to work on my 1980 Corvette which as running at the time I had him work on it, he was suppose to pull engine take it apart clean it up, replace seals and anything in need of being replaced, put back together etc, I always told him no rush that I just wanted QUALITY WORK, about 3 months after he started the work and about $2500.00 dollars later that I paid as he requested, I was told a good running Corvette was ready for me to pickup. This was a late evening pickup near dark. There was NO gas in the car for me to drive the couple of mile trip, after getting gas in it so I could drip it away from his shop and once off the dirt road and on the paved Cat Creek road where I could gain speed the car was SMOKING and running terrible! I was determined to get home only a few miles away. I made it home and my neighbor met me in my yard to see the completed engine work done Mr. Blakenys Auto Repair. I popped the hood and my neighbor open it and started screaming to turn it off, turn off the engine off. I jumped out to see what was wrong, GAS was spraying from the fuel filter ALL over the top of the engine from his shop to my home, this engine was FRESHLY painted, lucky for me it didnt catch FIRE! Car came back with cracked windshield and more damage to the paint then was already there prior to going into his shop for engine work. I called Mr. Blakeney about it and was told he could not help I bought a PIECE OF JUNK and basically was NOT his problem and the windshield was already cracked. I called over and over again for him to make the job/work he done right, as stated $2500 paid. It took him 14 months to finally come get the car for repair his work, he then admitted that the windshield was likely cracked when put on forklift style car lift he used and he gave me info to place to have it replaced which I was great to here, but would not have been smart to have windshield replaced knowing he was going to put back on same car lift. I never rushed him at anytime about the work being completed on my car, I always said no rush just want quality job done. (22) months later I received call my car was again ready for pickup, the only thing I could see the do was fixed the paint job damaged by GAS that leaked due to failure to tighten the hose clamps on the fuel filter on top of engine and replacement of the alternator. When I arrived the car was wet from being rinsed off and I mentioned the windshield was still cracked, he told me that WE discussed the windshield and the car was in need of a ALTERNATOR and I agreed that he would replace the ALTERNATOR instead of the WINDSHIELD, Who in there right mind would agree to such? If he had contacted me at ALL during this 22 month period to tell me the car need ALTERNATOR replace, I would have purchased and delivered it to him myself less than $100 dollar item/part!!! I really was done with this repair shop! I drove it away and yes I leave just a few miles from this shop, the power steering started WHINING the fluid had completely run out, after the first (3)months, then the (14) months back and fourth for him to get car back in shop to fix his work, then the (22)months he kept it the second go round for a total of (39) months, I WAS DONE WITH THIS PLACE! After my experience I would never refer this business to anyone with limited funds! My cars engine was in better running condition before he ever touched it.I have debated posting this for awhile and even though of taking him to court, but I dont like the court thing at all and I did not need THE ADDED STRESS to my life! He knows he pulled one over on me and I hope he doesnt do this to anyone else. FYI, KARMA, hope it finds you well.
Fair prices, knowledgeable, good customer service. Overall good place to bring your car
