I havent been in there in a while but I like the changes. The store seemed more stream lined and that staff was very nice. All my questions were answered and I didnt have any issues whatsoever. The greeter was awesome. She made me feel welcome from jump.

Bought fitness equipment which included a treadmill, elliptical and squat rack. Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful. Some were downright rude as if the fact that I purchased all of this equipment was some sort of inconvenience to them. Hoping that my next visit this weekend will be much more pleasant so that Im not forced to find another athletic store.

Ordered 2 pair of work shoes online. Picked up got home and 1 pair was used and even still had animal feces on them. Very upset! I live 30 miles away from Norman Drive in Valdosta and I brought home a pair of used shoes!

Great place to get any type of sports equipment. Baseball, football, basketball,soccer and you name it they got it. They also have a wide variety of shoes aswell.

No Ammo? How is that possible. Is store a democratic ownership, bet support is for the blue!!!! Ask the manager when next shipment was and she didnt even try to find out, I ask what would be on it and she said you will just have to check back!!!! Sad in my opinion 😪

They changed the cash register placement. It sucks. They should have invested more effort in hiring staff to assist shoppers.

Got exactly what I needed at a price I loved. My only complaint....their checkout system ran my credit card without any kind of verification. No signature no ID no nothing. Will be hesitant to use again in there.

Very rude customer service. Looking at boots the sales person said they were going to break and that I would have to wait.Dont think I will be shopping for anything there again.Unless they offer to make it right for my inconvenience.

I purchased a crossbow at Academy Sports and it was a piece of junk, and they would not take it back or refund my money, Lost Customer.

Its Acadeny.Nothing to write home about.Same stuff in all of them .Employees dont seem to help people out.

Poor selection of exercise bikes. No prices on the equipment. No available staff to assist. Employees socializing with each other ignoring customers in Shoe dept. This is standard behavior every time i shop here.The only friendly employee was the sales associate at checkout. He had superb customer service skills!!! 4:15 pm EST.

Ok they had multiple firearms I was interested in. Drove an hour to get there, upon arrival they did have the items. Had a holster for the items. However they didnt carry extra magazines for the firearms. Then when I went to purchase ammo I was limited, restricted, prevented from obtaining more than one (1) 50 round box per weapon.This severely restricts you from firing two (2) magazines and reloading them. Overall the prices on the firearms were $30.00 cheaper than other dealers.

Great store. I needed items from different sections of the store. I found everything I needed. And my questions were answered by very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Great experience. Bye the way, prices were fantastic...name brands at better prices than discount stores. Plus, I was able to buy what I wanted, not forced to buy from a tiny selection like most stores.

The quality of this store has dropped lately. Employees will walk right past a customer and completely ignore them. If you do try and get there attention they usually seem irritated because you interrupted their conversation. And they are trying to sell a rod/reel combo thats missing the reel for full price.

Polite greeting. Polite staff when you are able to find them. Took awhile to be able to identify and find a staff member to help me. I started to do it myself but heeded the advice of the store sign which resulted in an extra 15 min of waiting. But, once I received help the employee followed through all the way and was very cordial.

Friendly employees. Mask or no mask, you’re allowed to come in (as it should be). Huge selection of brands to chose from. No hounding “sales” associates and speedy checkout

Really poor customer service. No phone number and online help does not function. I have a question about an expensive item Id like to purchase but I cant get ANY help.

Went for handlebar clamps, 3 associates told me they dont carry them, found some at the registers, they broke in literal damn pieces about 20 minutes after they were attached....probably should have listened to the associates and bought online....

Ok, so with the ammo shortage we expected the lines and such. My one gripe is that they resorted to selling ammo only to customers who purchase a firearm. Now, Im ok with this rule except it seems like it was made on the fly. Corporate said this is what their competitors are doing and all of their locations. I complained because I waited in line for 2 hours to for 9mm ammo only to find out that theyre only selling ammo to customers purchasing firearms. I personally was upset because a simple sign could have saved me so time and gas money. I appreciate the products this store offers and will return.

Great selection, and when I needed to make a return the customer service representative was friendly and fast. The prices do seem a bit high, but most items are name brand, so I am assuming that is the reasoning for that. The first time I had come in, the cashier was a little slow at rigning us out, and we were in a hurry, but this is not neccessarily a bad thing, because everyone does work at their own physical pace. The store was clean and set up in an organized fashion as well.

Its large enough to have different things that you need but not overwhelmingly so.Good customer service *most* of the people in there were welcoming. 🦋 Will be back in a couple of months.

Got my grandson a bike for summer and it was fully assembled!

I used online order same day curbside pickup for a grill within an hour they emailed it was ready got there waited maybe 5 minutes they loaded it up and I was gone

Very happy with them I was able to get the gun period in and out and less than 40 minutes. They also had ammunition at the time I was very happy.

I know, I know, its not JUST a gun store, but its pretty sad that the largest and only chain-store that sells firearms in the Valdosta area has never got any pistols, any decent rifles beyond .22 caliber, or ANY ammo. And forget finding p-mag 30s here. They never have them in, only the cheap stuff. On the bright side I did buy a decent athletic cup here on really short notice, and I probably couldnt have found that at any other store in town. Lets be clear: there is a reason Gander MTN went out of business, but since Walmart stopped stocking guns and ammo, this place is always out of everything. Staff are friendly. I cant really comment on much outside of the firearms aspect of the store because thats my primary usage of it.
