Blinds to Go at Valley Stream was such a great and seamless experience. The experts are wizards of their crafts and accommodate the curtains to your likes and needs. We literally ordered curtains for the whole entire house (minus the kitchen) and every thing from the initial consultation/order to measurements and installations was superb and top notch! This is my 2nd time using them and again great experience. I used them in 2009 when I purchased my home. The shades I got then are still in excellent condition and I had no issues with them. For this purchased Jamal assisted me with professionalism. The shade is very nice and the service was very fast with great price.Received 5/23/21.
Our largest problem is with the customer service at the Long Island location (old country rd). The person who came out to measure, did so incorrectly. When the installer came 8 weeks later with the blinds they then realized 2 blinds donβt fit. We were told it would only take a few days to correct the blinds, but 5 weeks later the installer arrived again and realized he didnβt have the brackets for one of the blinds. They have brackets at the office, and he didnβt bother to check that he had them for the install. So again,we had to wait another week for the installer to come again with a bracket. Throughout all of this, we spoke to customer service who didnβt expedite any of this process. The blinds are alright, they have thin strings that feel weak and hang all the way down to the floor. This company doesnβt provide any holder to keep the two strings leveled to lower blinds evenly. The installer does not shorten the strings to custom fit for the window. Next time we will go to another service, never again will we go to Blinds To Go.
I had a great experience. The employees are courteous helpful and knowledgeable. Darrel assisted me with the purchase of the blinds for my Momβs home. And Frances measured and installed them. Poor quality and quality control...inserts in the valances were all mismatched...1 second floor blind cut wrong dimensions.. new one had to be made 1 was broken from the factory... had to be brought back and repaired. You would think at a place that charges this much would at least inspect/ double check the product before the send it out to the installer... only positive was Chris the installer... literally had to fight for us to get all the issues resolved as the people at the store mostly didnβt really care ( carle place location) didnβt return my calls and one guy at the valley stream store actually told me they couldnβt do anything about the mismatched valance inserts!! Very disappointing... would not recommend at all

The initial service in the store was good however the delivery date of my blinds were HORRIBLE!!!!!. The delivery was late by 8 weeks and no one at store had the courtesy to return my calls or emails which I made multiple times. I even visited the store and was told by Miguel he would follow up and call me, which never happened.I have been a customer of Blinds To Go since 2010 and am very disappointed with there service. At this time I am seriously considering NEVER shopping or using the services of Blinds To Go!!!!!

Installing of shade was good however the motorized hub and charger for the shade that costed an extra $134 was given to me in 2 boxes when installer was walking out the door I asked what Im I suppose to do with this arent you going to install it and demonstrate how to use it he stated he did know how to do it and the company didnt train him but it should be easy for me! I attempted it and after 20mins called B2G and was told to read instructions with was a card with 3 sentences finally they sent a man over same day and it took him well over an hour to install motorized hub with constant phone communication with an engineer at the company. Once done he quickly demonstrated and ran out the house the next morning it didnt work zi called was told to call the installer from the day before they gave me a ce# vm I left message then called back and was told I had to schedule a 4hr window appointment for them to come out an correct problem I had the shade for 12 hrs after waiting 1 month for shade. I told them I will bring back the hub since its useless and get a refund. I gave 2 stars only because I really love the shade it goes great with my decor but customer service STINKS ! $1200 shade you expect better service dont use this company. UPDATE spoke with store manager at valley stream store he apologized for the problems. with installation of motorized hub and my bad experience and he offered me refund on measure and installing fee which I accepted and because of that I will give 3 stars instead of 2

Matt did a great job at the measurement and installation. He was nice enough to even call before the day of the scheduled installation to let me know that the company could not locate one of the blinds. I took stars off because it was a headache going through customer service at Blinds to Go. My mother and I kept getting the run around regarding the missing blinds. Apparently it was found but no one called to let us know or to inform us if new blinds were being reordered.

DORIS WAS A GREAT HELP TO RESOLVE MY BLINDS ORDER. Which was ordered in March 2020..their installer in Barry Grahams team was not careful to pick up all the pieces from the store. They came to my home on 4 separate occasions and always missing pieces. Very frustrating. Today I called Doris and asked her to mail the missing wand. My suggestion is make sure they have all your parts before leaving the store. ..

Almost two months for the delivery of my order, many inconveniences from taking measurements to delivery. first one part of my order came and then I had to wait almost two weeks for the installer to come back from vacation for delivery of the other part because they couldnt send another installer .. I would not recommend this place to anyone

Poor. My order for simple vertical wood blinds has been delayed multiple times to now over 3 months. When I call the store and input the order # I continue to get disconnected. The only way to get in touch with a rep is to go to the store just to be told the order has been delayed again.
While the waiting time from measurement to installation was very long, the end result was beautiful. Installation was quick and the guy was very friendly. Blinds to go has a wide selection to chose from and I will be going back for my bathroom.

Doris at your Sunrise Valley Stream Store was patientand very helpful in purchasing my shades. Once they were installed the look is not what I had anticipated. Needless to say I had to purchase some blinds. However, not from Blinds to Go. It was great working with Doris. But, this is my first and last purchase at Blinds to Go. I have no clue what to do with the shades I purchased other than to count it a financial lost.
I ordered two blinds from the Valley Stream store the blinds are good quality, however they sent one of the blinds without the hardware. I was supposed to receive a call back from someone and pertaining to mailing the hardware to me and the person did not call me back

Update: I did exactly as requested and sent an email with pictures on 7/9/20 and never heard back from the owner about rectifying the issues outlined in my original post. Just another example of the lack of customer service I described. What a shame!!!Once they have your money, the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. The blinds were promised in a week but took almost 3 weeks with two delivery date delays; no one called to let me know there would be any delays. Each time I had to chase them down and leave messages with no return call. Once the blinds were delivered and installed, I noticed the joints at the valances do not match up properly and leaves spaces between the corner joints. The installer told me thats how they come. As soon as we went to slightly open the blinds, the wands came off in our hands as soon as we touched them. Fortunately, the installer was still her and glued them back on for us but how do blinds that are straight out of the box and custom made just break off immediately? The vertical blinds have sticking out corners on the valances. We were never told this would be the case when we ordered them. For custom made blinds, they need to do much better than the quality we received.

On my 2nd visit, I met a young man who showed me around, but he kept on disappearing. After awhile I just told him that I would wait for the lady. Doris is awesome, very understanding and really knew what I needed. I needed my sons input, so she told me to take pictures of the blinds and send them to him. Doris was wonderful, the blinds turned out fantastic, and the installer was friendly and knowledgeable. The only downside was the wait time for the blinds to be made, but that wait was due to covid as I was told. I recomend blinds to go.
The employees were very polite and pleassnt. However, although we received two emails indicating that the blinds we ordered had arrived in the store, it took the staff 45 minutes to locate them.

Typical window blinds cant be used on my residence. One of the few, This store customizes at affordable price assorted variations of shades, blinds, and some draperies. They will come out and verify your measurements. Due to virus, availability is slow for installation.

The long tale of my Blinds To Go experience ends with this location and the incredible work from Faoud, who redeemed the company.Brief background: I live in Queens and found out on arrival that the Queens location was moving and therefore temporarily cloased. So, I went to the Westbury location. The staff there was helpful (Kayla). Although Id taken measurements, I was convinced to have someone come to measure and later install. It would save me a trip and would guarantee a proper fit. Six weeks later, my treatments-6 windows-are installed on behalf of valley stream. Five of the six are too small. Installer comes back 3 days later and is furious. Removes the blinds and leaves. No paperwork, no nothing. I called Westbury. They tell me everything is being fixed. Then nothing... After five weeks, I went to the VS store to find out the situation. Faoud spent 45 minutes tracking down my blinds. It turns out that the disgruntled installer never reported that they needed to be redone. Instead he just left them at the Brooklyn location. I alao learned that hes no longer working for them because of simular experiences.So, 12 weeks after the initial order, Faoud, who had no part in the initial sale went out of his way to fast track new blinds for me (using my original measurements--yeah, they were right). Five days later I had the blinds.Bottom line, my experience with the company wasnt great. The help from Faoud at the Valley Stream store was amazing. Stick to this location.

Great blinds for a good price.
We wanted room darkening shades for our bedroom, which are quite large. We didnβt want any mistakes so we had the blinds to go recommended professional come and measure our windows for us, and install them too. This is the result: (see photo) When we called them to complain, they said they did disclose that there would be some gaps between the shades, but this is more than what we were expecting. There is no point in making the shades light-blocking when the gaps on the sides are so huge that so much light comes through and the room is still bright. I wish they would have been honest and just told us that they donβt have any product that could block light in our type of window rather than sell us this waste of $$$.
Options and in home measuring for an added fee. Pricey. Lowes has similar fare with comparable pricing.
