Often, when you purchase a product, you’re willing to pay a higher price for a higher level of service. I’ve been coming here for at least five years and found nothing but honesty, friendliness and a fantastic work ethic. Bao(super cute) does a fantastic job for customers and is enthusiastic about her work. They’re all willing to engage with you, help you find the right card or product and always have a good attitude.

A nice local game option. 5 stars for the staff. Does it have everything? Nope. More focused on CCG and LCG games than board games, but a nice place to go to anyways.

Not so friendly attitude with a very conflicting and passive aggressive manner, to be honest Id rate it higher but this store reminds me of the old card shop off Anderson games that ripped people off once before and reminds you that you are just another customer in theyre eyes. Overall prices are okay but the miss information and not being friendly, not helping people understand whats going on is a big nono in my book, run it better and be better at customer service and then maybe, MAYBE it could be a store people could enjoy. Anyway, hope that helps in a way, sorry for the review but in all honesty its how it is.

They havent always had the best prices compared to other online retailers, but CCG House has a has always had a phenomenal selection of card singles, board games, role-playing game books, figurines and other nerd paraphernalia. Easily my first choice among game stores in Vancouver.

Friendly local card shop with an amazing selection of dice. They also have some retro video games, board games and miniatures as well. Always helpful, always kind, I definitely like this store more than most others in the area.

Great gaming store. Lots of board game, you can get the basics of what you need for most table top RPGs and miniature gaming. The staff is friendly, not pushy, and makes recommendations based on what youre looking for.

Good selection. However overpaid on pokémon cards by quite a bit. Paid almost double value. Spent 10 dollars on damaged Reshiram & Zekrom Tag team and 20 on Venasaur & Celebi Tag team median price for both of these are about 8 dollars each for NM copies. Very dissatisfied with paying double value on cards.at that kind of profit their really just stealing from their customers.

So, Im newer to trading cards. Mind you Ive played card games for years, But as far as actually trading the cards with shops, Im new.Recently got myself into magic and Ive been by here multiple times, And these guys have been helpful in getting me on my feet as far as equipment goes, Such as a healthy selection of deck boxes, Dice, playmats, And sleeves, Among other things. This shop is pretty big.Their staff is friendly both on and off the phone though one time I think I got hung up on, Whether accidentally or on purpose Im not sure, lol.Pricing on actual cards is a different topic, At least from what online research Ive been doing to try to teach myself to not get ripped off in a trade. As I said, Their staff is friendly and they have a sizable collection of things.Recently brought in some magic cards to trade and to get some other cards appraised and this is probably my own fault for not asking around or maybe trying to barter a bit better, If thats a thing people do? But whilei expected going the route of in-store credit would have net at least half the price they were selling these cards on their website for, I unfortunately got less than half of one of the higher prices cards I brought in.I see this as mostly my own fault because Ive been buying and selling collectible things for years and I should know better to look around a bit before finalizing a trade, But I would like to note their set boxes are also a bit marked up compared to both online and also physical stores, So take that info as you will.All that said, I still plan to do business here in the future, Especially as far as extra equipment is concerned.Final rating, 4 overall, 5 for customer service and experience, The tournament was fun :) somewhere closer to 3 for trading and prices.

Place had a good selection and the people were nice but the card packs are price gouged to the enth degree compared to other card shops. If youre looking to buy boosters go somewhere else.

Ive come in a few times and purchased a few items. Staff is very nice and super helpful. They have alot of cool board games. I usually came in for magic cards but their prices for booster boxes are insane. You can get the current standard/modern boxes at a store/online for 100-105. They charge 130-150. Individual card prices are fair in my experience but no way would i ever buy booster boxes. I buy a fair amount at one time so the extra 30-50 adds up way too quick.

They have a great selection of board/tabletop/card games for purchase, and their events are really fun.They also carry niche/hard to find items, like my Catbug Dice pouch, so give them a look haha

Decent selection, at above market standard. Was looking to buy a single, but they wanted $30 over max price listing. According to the employees, they need to update their prices... That is an understatement. Also the 2 dollar grab bags are a scam, dont bother with them. IF YOURE LOOKING TO TRADE CARDS, DO IT ELSEWHERE. They will give you the most absolute bottom dollar for your cards, even for trade in credit. The cashier was friendly, compared to the rest of the employees.

When I entered the store I was promptly greeted and asked if I needed any assistance. They pointed to where their top loaders where and had a plethora of other card boosters, sleeves, boxes, and board games. They recommended if you wanted to trade in please do so on their company sorento get maximum return. Overall one of my go to shops for magic.

CCGHouse Games is a great place to buy magic sets and talk with the workers about what you want. They are super friendly and very understanding. I would definitely recommend!

Started going to this store on a whim while looking for a specific commander & planeswalker. Although they didn’t have what we were looking for, they still had a wide variety of games, cards, and D&D stuff. Including some really beautiful dice. The staff are all super friendly and welcoming too, my boyfriend and I have stopped in several times and stayed way longer than we were anticipating talking to the staff.As a girl who DM’s D&D and plays MTG, finding stores that are truly welcoming and safe for girl geeks are sometimes hard to find. But this store knocks it out of the park.

Extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the games they sell. Its especially important that they are willing to talk about the games and you can tell they all have a genuine interest in the fun of table top.

Probably a good place to buy individual cards but theyre charging atleast 30% extra for booster boxes an when your a small business like that i wouldnt think you would wanna scare new customers away with your premium prices when they could just use Amazon. Kinda sad. You get 20% more for store credit but then 30% more added onto the price of all the product you actually want in the store.. Again, not a horrible place if your looking for a certain card but other then that avoid buying anything booster box related from this place at all cost.. SORRY

My son is a sweet teen boy who sometimes struggles finding his place or his people. Hes really into Magic the Gathering and was interested in attending a Friday night game night. When I took him for his first time, it was like he finally found the place where he fits in. He had a great time, everyone was welcoming and so friendly, and hes been back several times since. I appreciate that the employees are so upbeat and patient. Theyve helped him answer questions and learn some of the rules. I feel its a safe place to let him hang out and be himself.

They are a decent game store. There were better gamestores with better prices for games, cards, card sleeves, merch, dice and figures. Their prices are marked up beyond the norm but they deserve kudos for surviving this long and beating out the other shops in this area.They offer deals with their membership if you tend to buy new release MTG boxes. If you tend to not purchase high cost items, I would not bother with their membership. Their membership also gives deals on dice, mats, and other MtG supplies. There are better game shops in Portland but if you are pressed for time CCGHouse is here and they have decent hours opening later than other stores.They also have cardgame tournaments and events here if you are trying to find like minded people to play MtG or YGO or Pokemon with.

My wife and I shop for Pokémon TCG and the selection here is pretty good. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

First time in there and I really enjoyed the customer service that I got today the gentleman that helped me had no problems explaining a game to me that I knew nothing about it seemed like he was very knowledgeable and more than willing to help with anything I needed

I should have left this review 10 years ago.I fell in love with CCGHouse Games in 2009. I walked into the warehouse sold a card and was treated so well by the owner that I was ready to place my order for more singles like foils and commander cards. I made that warehouse my main way to buy and sell cards and couldn’t leave without the owner talking to me for an hour. Within 10 months I must have placed 100 orders asking them to make a store. When they did I was the first to apply for a pt time job.I have over 5 years working for this store and spent 4 years away. Even when I left I was still buying from the store. I have seen it grow and have seen others have awesome experiences like me and I have had the opportunity to provide awesome experiences to every person who walks in through that door.If you read this far you know I work for CCG and that this review could be seen as one sided or jaded so all I can ask is that you come in and see for yourself if we are the store for you either way come talk to me I am always willing to listen.

Always a great place to draft MTG! Nice staff and a competitive but friendly atmosphere. New players can get drafting / deck building advise from veteran players. Also a good commander and standard turnout!

Wasnt clear if they had Pokemon cards or not (they do, just not a ton) so I called ahead. The man who answered the phone was friendly and helpful. Went in to the store shortly after. Large selection of Magic (MTG) and board games. Seems like a cool spot for board gaming and tournaments. Price for Pokemon uncommons seemed a little high, but would still go back.

They have every card ever!!! Plus huge tournaments and place space. sleeve and product selection is top notch and the employees are all pretty cool folks. Great spot if you wanna get a game of Commander (EDH) going. They have tournaments every night, which is pretty sweet. Highly recommend!

Super stingy at buying cards. Already giving such a low ball offer. Its like 10% lower then tcgplayer trade in values which is already close to 40% of cards value. So your lucky to get the 30% pay out if it comes straight from the pack. THEE SMALLEST UNSEEN SCRATCHES..The problem I have is they mark it down to light play or moderate play and I have seen they sell the exact card in there store as light play. So they grade it and pay me for a condition lower then what they end up selling it as..But on a good note, they have amazing events with fun staff and great place to play magic the gathering

Very nice place with a few regulars, all the staff are inviting and will answer any question to the best of their knowledge. Only ever had one bad experience and it was most likely just a bad day for the employee. The people who come in can be some characters but nothing bad and no one that is especially rude in my experience. Very good

Only reason 4 stars is because of size of inventory and the amount of events hosted here. Selling stuff here is the only problem. Really harsh on there grading. I have seen my exact card sold at light play when they paid me for moderate play..

Prices are a little steep for my taste. However their selection is by far the best Ive seen. I wouldnt come here regularly but I would come if I was looking for something specific in Magic.

Did some research online on what the lowest sale price the big online stores would offer for my cards which totaled up was $17.50. They offered me $7.25. One card I asked about for just a gauge of how their pricing worked they said they would sell for $15 (typical online price) but only offered me $2.50 for it claiming it wasnt on buy list meaning they were overstocked. For a place that has their online store presence as their name you would think this small scale buy/sell economics wouldnt apply.3 Stars is based on the employees being very nice and having a great selection of board games as well as ample space for their weekly activities. I think the economics of MTG like this is really hurting both the game as a whole and mom and pop stores like these.

I had a great time playing a few quick games on a rainy day that was calling for some group gameplay.CCG has a knowledgeable staff that’s friendly to newcomers, a good selection of cards, frequent tourney events, and swarms of dedicated regulars.My one criticism is fit and finish. Its not a very inviting or well laid out space. Even just upgrading the lighting would make a big improvement in atmosphere.Overall it’s a nice place to hang if you want to play some tabletop and meet new people. I’ll be back for sure.

Friendly and stocked up on all you card fixes.

First time being there at CCGHouse, I was there for the keyforge launch event/open house. Decent size for the inside, little bigger than expected, different verities of games to choice from. The staff was cool to interact with, and some what helpful. Probably be going back again for games or keyforge later in a few weeks or months. They did have free coffee and I think hot cocoa, they do have a fridge with cold drinks to buy, also had snacks like chips, cookies etc. A lot of space/tables to play games on.

I come here to play Magic on Friday nights, theres always a good turnout. I buy some singles and the occasion pack of cards from them but youll generally find better prices for singles online and better prices for packs at Dice Age Games.

Ive been in a handful of times since its the closest LGS to where I live. I tried making conversation and get input and preferences from the people working, but they all seemed completely disinterested and otherwise dismissive. Which is disappointing considering the other game stores Ive visited were very friendly. While CCG tends to be a bit expensive, they do have a rather vast and impressive selection

Submitted an online buy list order, they took 20 days to reply not approved and proceeded to slash the offer to an uncompetitive amount. I had probably found the only fair buy list offer, so I am not shocked that it was turned down. When your prices are bad compared to Star City, you know you are not competitive with the market.

Employees are helpful, knowledgeable and plain nice. The Magic the Gathering crowd is also awesome!

Well I called ahead of time to see the pricing of cards in their online database and HOLY COW are some of the prices a rip-off. Some cards I could get at other card shops for lower than their expected values online, these guys sold for $5 - $10 more. I was shocked that they didnt do some sort of price matching for customers who would take the time to go to their store instead and give them their money.

I have ordered and purchased multiple games from this store. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about many of three games. For people who like card games like magic the gathering, I have witnessed multiple times people meeting there to play.

Customer service could be better. Have to wait to get attention while buying. The tournaments get all the attention. Still very knowledgeable.

Love coming here for commander on friday nights. Just wish my name was on the store.

I have never seen a store extort its player base more than CCGHouse. The majority of their cards are priced high to begin with, but charging twice the price for a few standard staples is ludicrous. There are plenty of stores nearby that do not price gouge that I would give my business to before I pay CCGHouse their card + extortion fees.

Your employee damaged one of my cards inspecting it for your rip off scam you have going. I sold the other that he offered me $5 IN STORE CREDIT just now on Ebay for $17.Everyone that works here is so insanely rude.I would HIGHLY suggest ANYONE READING THIS to take any business you have to ANYWHERE ELSE (INCLUDING WALMART... YES THIS CARD STORE IS THAT BAD)

I use to love to come to ccg house, but know they are just after your money. They mark their cards up way above market value. I went to a pptq with 64 other players and the pay out was less the half of what they took in. So if you like getting robbed dont go to ccg house

You will never find a selection of booster packs like this. For the location, size, and tournaments, the overhead is very reasonable. Everything is cheaper online these days no matter what business you are in. You dont need to read reviews to know that. CCGhouse and their staff are incredible. The owner is hands on, Anna is wonderful, all the staff have the knowledge and expertise that you look for. Vince rocks FNM. The trading amongst players is incomparable on fridays. From staff to regulars you will never run out of help. All around CCGHOUSE is tier 1

I only learned after the fact of how ripped off I got. I parted with some very expensive cards at what I thought at the time was a reasonable price, but the owner clearly took advantage of my ignorance which is something you shouldnt do to the people that trade stuff into you. Not to mention the amount of money that they walked away with from the pptq that they ran that I was there for. The only prize that they offered was in-store credit barely equaling out to half of what they made off of running the event. You can clearly tell hes gotten comfortable ripping people off because hes been doing it for so long and people continue to support him. If I could give a zero score a zero star review I would. Do not I repeat do not buy cards from these people or trade cards into these people because they will rip you off on both sides of it. I learned that lesson the extremely hard way.
