I was in this shop yesterday and I would encourage anyone to go to Americas if they need anything. They were very friendly to me even though I was the only one in there at the time. Very friendly and fair. They gave me a loan far more than I expected

Two stars for having a somewhat decent selection and helpful staff, the downside are the prices. I could literally spend under $20 more to get a brand new hunting scope with warranty from the Wal*Mart right next to them XD long story short, look elsewhere for deals.

The new owner Craig is awesome I cant speak to how this pawn shop used to be but the new owner is honest and hard-working local. finally an honest pawn shop to go to in Vancouver

Great customer service. Giving four stars because i bought a gun and it turned out to not be in firing condition, but is fixable.

Sometimes items are inappropriately over priced items, look at you like you’re crazy if you try to haggle or get a few dollars off, it’s a pawn shop after all, all the other shops will entertain fair offers, not these guys.

I have been going to Americas pawn for years. They are a great place to deal with whether you have stuff to pawn or looking for reasonably priced items. They have a nice selection of tools, jewelry and firearms plus bikes and typical pawn shop stuff. The really nice thing is they dont take junk (ie only certain brands of tools or chainsaws) so you know youre getting a quality item. And they have been understanding of picking up pawns late, and dont play games to try and keep your items. They are also very knowledgeable about firearms especially Jeff!

I bought an I pad mini here. Decent(RETAIL)price. However, I find out later when I see no more the cellular function the device was reported to AT&T as stolen. Im not a fan of paying retail for stolen goods

I went in needing $100 and I came out with $110. Before I went in I did the research on my items I needed to loan and knew that they were worth at least $400 together brand new. They are very used tho so i was really thankful for Jeff who helped me!! I paid my bill because of him and was able to come pick up my two items about two months later when I had the money again. These guys are great! 5 stars for sure.

Now, I’m a pretty open minded person and pretty friendly. I greet and smile at people, say hello, and hope to receive the same type of attitude, especially when entering a business. So the reason I am giving a rating of 3 has to do with my experience when picking up my items, not when I brought them in.When I walked into the pawn shop 3 months ago, Jeff was great. I Havent been in a situation to where I needed to pawn/not sell, my items. When struck with a disability that keeps you strapped for cash, you find yourself doing what’s needed until your pension or social security kicks in. And Jeff treated me great! But today, when I walked in to pick up my belongings, Jeff was not there, and the guy that helped me was cold as ice! And the woman behind the counter was almost snobbish. No hello, smiles, NOTHING! Is it that hard to smile and be courteous and friendly to customers? I walked out feeling like I was unimportant low life. Felt like they looked down their noses at me. I would have purchased a mailer, but neither on asked me if I needed assistance. So I thanked them and said, “have a nice day,” with no response. It wasn’t a good experience.Sorry Jeff. I don’t know if I will be back or recommend Americans Pawn. Very sad indeed!Because you were awesome! Thank you.

Overpriced musical instruments sold by a scruffy kid with a goatee calling you bud as they toss your ID back to you. Go to briz, or even guitar center instead. Perhaps Americas Pawn is better with firearms, I would not know.

Horrible experience, they should change their website to the most pickiest lowest offering pawn shop, I was informed they don’t accept any kind of Ridgid tool power or not, The shops in Portland look out for the good customers needs, I thought having perfect credit with a store they would work something out, not this place.

Was just in there, stood at the ring case for almost 5 minutes and not once was I approached or acknowledged. I was looking to buy a new wedding set, but obviously they dont want to make a sale very bad! While I stood there, my husband and son looked at power tools, they werent welcomed in to the store or acknowleged either!

Rude.. broken stuff priced higher than if you were to buy new. And that makes no sense at all.

When I sold my gold jewelry to them (two of the items being diamond rings), I was told they keep them for 30 days and then send them to a smelter. I was NOT told they might keep the rings or the smelter might, and sell them for higher prices, or whatever. Two of the rings were very special to me, as they belonged to my Grandmother, but I desperately needed the money. A few weeks later I called to ask if I could buy this one ring back, as it had a lot of meaning to me. The owner told me I couldnt, as the smelter wanted it. Then he checked and said the one ring wasnt even in the safe, and accused me of not even selling it to them (maybe I forgot - Jeez). He said this other one was what the smelter wanted. Then he wouldnt give me a receipt (or even a note saying the amount I got, which I needed for financial assistance) or let me even see the items. So either the young man who helped me pocketed the ring, or the owner did - who knows! But I wouldnt trust them AT ALL! SELLER BEWARE!!!

Worst pawn place ever!!! 3rd time going there to be turned down ea time. All items I had to sell were worth over 300 ea.Will never go there again... After reading all these reviews why are they still in business???????? Not to mention everything is overpriced

If youre selling guns dont waste your time, they only want to take advantage of people who NEED to sell.Selection although abundant is not that great, lots of Junkers, one Walther I looked at had a messed up breach, while another single six had no coating on it.End buyer is always the way to go, dont waste your time trying to go to these cut rate chop shops.

Called the last 2 days looking for a chain saw. They said they had a Stihl saw 20” bar. I Showed up on limited time and asked to make sure it started. The employee took the saw outside and cranked on it at least 25-30 times, it didn’t fire up. I told him thank you for his time and left. If I’m in business to sell items and know that someone was coming down to make a couple hundred + $ purchase, I’d make sure the equipment worked. Waste of my time. To say I was disappointed is an understatement.

This is the third time coming to this shop to sell or loan. After speaking on the phone about my stuff i was told to bring it in and they can get me a loan on it. Only to be greeted by rude staff and told my stuff was not good enough all of a sudden. Worst customer service I have had in any pawn shop, buying or selling. Lied to in the phone to get me to drive 15 min to tell me to my face that my stuff was all of a sudden not good enough for a loan. Crappy experience, crappier workers. If you are not a crack head or a thief then these people want nothing to do with you. Buyer and seller beeare, this place is shady and untrustworthy.

Bad experience with this place. They made mistake with ffl paperwork. I had to drive back to shop to correct it. Asked them to compensate for gas. They refused. Wont do business with them again.
