I did a lot of research before deciding on this companys product. I installed 15 terminal posts (wanted the thicker material) as my end posts and intermediate posts on an existing deck. Went with the deck mount configuration and used only post-to-post support as our top rail. When I had questions, customer support was only a phone call away. The guys and gals were extremely polite, professional, and helpful. I made the right choice. The materials are superior and the project turned out better than expected. I highly recommend this manufacturer.

When I initially determined to use stainless steel cable railing I was considering using several cable railing companies and wooden posts. After review of Stainless Cable & Railing Incs (SC&R) website, I requested a catalog and examples of the materials used in manufacturing the cable & railing posts. The sales people responded and gladly sent these out. After receiving the information and material samples, I was sold. I worked with two sales folks who assisted me with the design and answered numerous questions.Once a design was established, a quote was provided; several changes were made and they were happy to provide changes and associated cost differential. I ordered the materials and was off and running.Installation seemed confusing at first, particulary with all the materials, hardware, and the fact that I do not install these systems for a living. But, using and following the written instructions, videos, and helpful answers from SC&R regarding my installation questions, the installation was successfully acomplished and looks beautiful. As it will for years to come.

SC&R Railings were exactly what I wanted! I researched several different cable steel railing vendors and chose SC&R because of the streamlined profile of the connection points to the posts. I wanted the railing to disappear so that my view of the trees scape was unencumbered by hardware. Its as sophisticated in person as it looks online. I ordered 220 feet of complete cable railings for a customer of mine in August. I am a contractor, but had never installed cable railings. SC&R was really great to work with! And the prices were roughly 1/2 of what I would have paid for competitors product. I spent a lot of time researching the right cable railing for my deck, and this worked perfectly! I went with surface mounted, black aluminum posts, with 7x7 stainless wire. The installation was a breeze with the suggested crimper and cutter. This installation was actually so easy, and turned out looking so good, that I suggest it to everyone, and even ended up selling the crimper and cutter to another family in Arkansas so they could do the same installation!

Our experience with this railing system couldnt have been better. We initially contacted the company with our basic layout. Within a few days we were working with a designer to assure that we had the correct dimensions and materials to install the railing system.The product was shipped to us with all of the part (and tools) needed to do the final build of the cables and to install the posts and rail. The materials and tools far exceeded our expectations which along with solid directions allowed us to crimp the ends on the cables as needed.We constructed the railing and installed the cables. Perfect fit. Our only issue was a need to close off the corner areas a bit. Excellent customer service. Ive never done any sort of deck railing, but this one was fairly easy to install after the help and advice I was given. As a do it yourselfer its difficult to locate an affordable source that provides such good service to those learning. These guys acted like they wanted my business even if it was going to take a little more work to help me understand what I needed.Luckily they were close enough for me to pick up, but after seeing their operation, I wouldnt think twice about having this shipped. I was expecting to fill up my SUV, but could have fit it all in the trunk of my sedan.

Im a contractor and this was my first cable railing install. I did it on my own house. I did a lot of research and selected many different vendors as finalists. I figured Id get hardware from one, posts from another, cable from another, etc. In the end, I went to Stainless for everything. The order was shipped quickly and it was complete. Everything went together as it should and the result looks great. I did not have need to contact them so cannot speak to customer support. Prices are extremely competitive.

SCR worked great and I will buy from them again. As an engineer, I liked both the availability of needed fittings but also the price turned out to be the best. The fittings use more durable M8 threads versus smaller ¼-20 found elsewhere. This allowed me to tap female threads into selected beefy steel posts to avoid drilling straight thru, which avoided cable criss-cross collisions at corners, and also smooth exterior finishes at gates. Because I already had the welded steel frame in place at the time of ordering, I was able to order cables pre-cut to the final length and avoid cutting on-site. By installing on-site swage fittings at one end, smaller holes could be drilled in the steel posts and balusters, which saved labor since there were a zillion (700) holes. One more good thing is that SCR had the needed do-dad fittings like spherical washers to make transitions work out well.

The fittings were quality products and everything fit together very well. The swage tool worked great. Good guys to work with. I happened to be traveling through Oregon, just over the boarder from Vancouver WA and made a visit to the shop and was able to meet the sales people, staff and see the product assembled at the plant. I realized they had more options than I thought. I hope to use them more in the future. My customers were delighted with the finished product and I want to sell more cable railings!

My experience with Stainless Cable and Railing was great. They were far less expensive than the competition, by the tune of a couple hundred dollars. The ordering process was fairly straight forward as was the installation process. And thats coming from someone who had never installed cable railings before. A year and a half after my deck railings look just as good as the day I installed it!

SC&R bent over backwards to help me correctly order all of the stainless steel cable railing parts needed for my deck and ADA access ramp. They also fabricated the custom gates that I needed. The fit and finish of the parts was excellent, although the cable termination posts could be a little heavier to resist bowing. The pricing is very good compared to similar alternatives. Installation went smoothly, with the main issue being the need for a drill guide for the mounting screw holes that need to be field drilled since drilling into the side of a round metal post is difficult to do accurately.Be careful when unloading the long tubes, they are easily bowed until they are installed.Be aware that the pair of nuts that go on the end of a cable termination fitting are supposed to be wedged against each other and that you will need a specialty thin wrench to complete the task.

Our project was fairly large on an island in Lake Winnipesaukee, NH, so the logistics were challenging since we had to arrange barging for materials and labor and thus the shipping and handling had to be precise.It was!! We are very happy with the result and applaud both the customer service and quality of everything.

We recently had a new home constructed and wanted the elevated decks to be fenced in a non-obtrusive manner which would allow for maximum view and minimal obstruction. We decided to use the stainless steel cable railing system in our split level home while renovating to help modernize it.The system came in when expected and looked beautiful! It took a little longer than I imagined it would to put it together though.Tip: You need a hydraulic cable crimper to get the job done. The hand held crimpers wont put a dent in it.Overall, very happy with the product and the finished look!

We had originally quoted the project with a competitor but they were not willing to work with us on a few details so we quoted the project with SC&R. The sales rep was very helpful and developed a solution by putting different types of hardware together for a unique application. Due to the weather this winter, we were not able to install the cables within the 30 days allowed per the rental agreement for the tools. The product is great but the customer service is the real find here. We decided to go with stainless cable railing for our lakeside deck. It is simply the best product for unobstructed views and it is a very appealing look that works well with a variety of architecture. We were a little concerned that its modern look might not work with a more traditional home but that fear was misplaced...this railing looks fabulous. Too, we were so happy we chose this company to provide the railing. They sent everything that was needed for the installation...and I mean EVERYTHING. There support person was available to answer any questions and in a world were good customer service is hard to come by...this company excels. The quality of the product is impressive and we expect will provide many years of service. All in all we could not be happier with this railing and this company.

The folks at Stainless Cable and Railing are the very best! Easy to work with, knowledgeable and responsive. The whole design and ordering process was smooth and painless and the kit was shipped very quickly. The quality of materials and completeness, right down to drill bits and screw driver tips, was outstanding.When I designed the installation I chose a 5 inch bolt to attach the posts tot he deck but discovered that I really needed 4 inch bolts. Stainless Cable and Railing immediately shipped out a box of replacement bolts at no extra charge and provided a reply paid return of the originals without hesitation. I cannot say enough about these people and their product.

I LOVE my railing! They provided great customer service and competitive pricing.The instructions were easy to follow and it was installed with relatively little problem. You do need to be a DIYer to get it right but if you know how to work some tools and can be careful with a level, you can tackle this!EVERYONE loves and comments on the modern look of the railing too.

Ordered a cable and rail system for our outdoor deck. Delivery was prompt and the contractor had no trouble installing. It looks terrific, and in our opinion is a great value compared to similar systems.At one point we discovered that we were short a bag of grommets. One quick phone call to Stainless and a bag was sent overnight! Customer service beyond the call of duty.Highly recommend.

I had a rough idea in mind when I contacted Stainless Cable & Railing. They were able to take my napkin plan and convert it to a materials list and were then able to go over each piece of the project.In the end, I received a fantastic kit for our outdoor deck that went together seamlessly. A friend and I knocked out the installation in a day and a half (save several hundred there) and everything looks professional. We receive compliments on the deck all of the time and the aesthetics are far superior to having generic wood railings.Great product, pricing and customer service.

I checked with several other companies before ordering my cable rail parts from Stainless Cable & Railing. They shipped my order quickly and provided great cables and hardware for less than several competitors. The included instructions were very helpful and allowed me to complete a successful first project. It turned out great! I will definitely use them again!

We were looking for some cable railing to finish off a deck that we built ourselves and we ended up buying from Stainless Cable & Railing for two reasons: 1) They supply all of the hardware needed for each cable run. If we had purchased from our local hardware store, we would have had to figure out how to piece something together on our own (and the kits sold online by some of the larger box stores were more expensive). 2) They provided excellent drawings of their products. For people who have never put together cable railing before, this was essential. We were able to determine exactly what would work for our project. Ordering was straight-forward and we received everything quickly. Their customer service is also exceptional. I had some questions about the hardware we received, so I took a photo and sent them an email. The person who responded noticed from my photo that we had the wrong sized washers and sent us replacements within a couple of days. I know that our project was small one, but customer service never made us feel like we were less important because of this. I am positive that we will be repeat customers.
