We drove to Vermont for our anniversary road trip and went to Vermont Woods Studios to find dining room furniture for our new home. Throughout the process of choosing between all of the beautiful handcrafted tables and chairs we were guided by the knowledge and patience of Katrina. We found the perfect combination for us - the Lyndon Classic Shaker Table and Bistro Chairs. Katrina was very helpful in decision making and a pleasure to spend time with. The special wooden bowl we bought from the showroom is bringing happy Vermont vibes while we await furniture arrival.. We ordered porch furniture and a bedside table from Vermont Woods Studio. Both are superlative in every way. The porch furniture is so attractive, so sturdy and so comfortable - we are so happy with it and it has made our outdoor living area beautiful and welcoming. My husband and I (70 and 71 years old!) were able to put it together without a hitch. I know we will enjoy these pieces for many years. We ordered the bedside table to match an existing one, and I am happy to say, it is perfect! The porch furniture arrived much earlier than we expected and the bedside table arrived exactly when “promised” even in this difficult period of time ( and all items were being sent to Wyoming, not exactly on the beaten track). Our table is beautiful, but it wobbles a fair amount, limiting its usefulness. Weve been waiting since late August for someone to come take a look at it and keep being told they will be in touch with the delivery service. They seem to have very limited service availability in southern Maine.

Great curio cabinet. I looked everywhere for something that worked for me. Vermont Woods Studios was the only place I could find something I liked. Love the handcrafted product. They kept me updated on progress. The delivery team did a great job, calling ahead to let me know when they would deliver, then setting the piece up with care. I’m very happy with it.

My cherry wood twin bed came 9 months after I placed my order. Long wait, but it iwas worth it. After many years of owning bed frames that either fall apart or start to delaminate I now own a quality hand crafted piece of furniture. The piece is simple, yet elegant. Beautiful cherry wood. Even the delivery men commented on how much they liked it.

I bought a cherry bookcase with double doors. Cherry because it ages so beautifully and VWS so the piece would have a finish that feels like satin. The bookcase it beautiful. And the finish is wonderful. It takes a lot of work to get that kind of finish. Thank you!

The whole experience, browsing, ordering, pick-up was easy. Each person that I worked with at each stage was knowledgeable and responsive. I dont live too far from the Vermont Woods Studios showroom, so I made the trip up to pick up my tall beveled Cherry wall mirror. Wow. Its something to see all that beautiful natural, soft to the touch furniture in one place. And the Studios sits atop a hill with a magical view. The mirror was packaged up really well and was thoroughly protected for the drive home. Best part...it looks GREAT. Thank you!

I recently purchased the Ash Contour bed made by Copeland Furniture, on clearance directly from the Vermont Woods Studios showroom in Vernon. Despite the fact that this bed was on display for a while, it was in immaculate condition. Excellent sit/stand desk! I wish I had taken a picture before putting everything on it. I ordered the 30 deep 54 wide cherry top sit/stand desk from Vermont Woods Studios because they were the only ones that I found online that had a sit/stand that went down to 25.2 high. Most others stop at 29 and at 57 those are still to tall for me. I use it at 26.3 for sitting and 39.6 standing and its perfect. I customized it with a square cherry top with a plug in/usb port on the right. This desk is beautiful cherry woodwork, solid, and made in the US. You can get a less expensive sit/stand desk but I guarantee it wont be as nice. I am 110% satisfied with the product, delivery, and setup. My back thanks you for making my working from home situation so much more nicer.

Our custom Walnut bookcase is perfect. We think Vermont Wood Studios is the best. This was our second experience, and it was as good as the first. Service is fantastic. We would gladly go back again.

The material is good, but I would expect better craft quality given the price (from Lyndon Furniture). The connecting part of the extension dinning table that I bought doesnt close 100% and always leave a small gap. Other than that, its perfect.

My experience with Vermont Woods Studios could not be better. Customer service was wonderful and best of all, my table and credenza are magnificent. Too bad we havent had company yet because of the virus. Im eager to show the furniture to my family and friends.

I had a very positive initial experience with Michelle and Sean at VWS. I needed to order some custom pieces, and they both brainstormed and came up with some really elegant ideas. Plus they carefully answered all my questions and made sure everything in my order was perfect. Found this gem of a company online searching for high end handmade walnut dining tables. Website is very user friendly. All staff on the phone extremely friendly and helpful. Once the design of the table was chosen and ordered I convinced the client to order 8 dining chairs as well. The fabric choices offered by them are great. No need for me to source my own. After several weeks the client received everything with white glove delivery. Client FaceTimed me literally jumping up and down at how beautiful every piece was. As a designer shopping online and spending 1000s of dollars without touching the product beforehand is a gamble. Vermont Woods Studio is perfection. I am writing just about the ordering process and customer service since my items are in the works. It is not easy to make a major furniture purchase on-line without seeing the product. The company provided excellent guidance on selection and sent wood samples promptly. They establish a relationship with you--you sense they care and really value your business. I learned one item I had ordered was discontinued and the company took care of the details and made it all come out right. This is a sort of company I want to do business with and am so glad I found them.

The furniture that I purchased (Lyndon table and headboard) has a defective finish. It became tacky and wax like after less than two years. I thought I was getting a high quality product, but the finish in my previous hard wood table that I had purchased from Target ten years earlier had held up better.Buying from Vermont Woods Studios, I thought that I was spending my thousands of dollars on a high quality product that would last a lifetime. I could not believe that the finish had become wax-like after only cleaning the furniture with water or nothing at all.If I could go back, I never would have purchased furniture from Vermont Woods Studios. I am completely disappointed and hope nobody else is duped into believing that their product will last a lifetime.Thank you for your response, Peggy. I would also like to know if the my headboard could also be repaired free of charge since it the finish also took on a waxy texture. Since both the headboard and table had the same issue and became defective, it only makes logical sense that it would be offered that they both be fixed.I had emailed Kelli about this on Sept. 4th at 3:17pm, but the only thing that she responded to me about was about a repair kit. I emailed her again at 3:32 pm that same day, and am waiting for a response.

We ordered a Cherry coffee table and two end tables from Vermont Woods Studios. They came within the expected time frame, were delivered nicely, and are perfect. Beautiful craftsmanship, lovely wood--they have really changed our living room. I will definitely go to them again when I need some real quality furniture.

I have been receiving mixed messages from VWS regarding the resolution of the issue of the finish becoming waxy on not only one, but two pieces of very expensive furniture from VWS.In my last review, I was informed by the owner, Peggy Farabaugh, that fixing my furniture would be completed at no cost to me. However, I was informed by the customer service lead, Kelli, that I would have to pay to have the pieces shipped, I’m sure at a heavy fee, up to VT from CT at MY expense. This does not make logical sense to me I should never have had to deal with this situation in the first place. I am not the one who sold furniture with a defective finish to anyone, VWS did.I never should have to have the furniture shipped, be without my furniture for weeks and also have to waste my time dealing with this situation.For the money I spent on these pieces and the image that VWS projects, my furniture should have had finish that would last a lifetime, not less than two years.The finish never should have turned waxy enough in order to be able to scratch with a five year old’s fingernail.When you scratch a furniture surface with a fingernail, it should leave no indentation in the finish in the first place, unless the finish is defective, which is what happened in my case with two pieces of furniture.My grandfather, a carpenter, bought his dining room set over 50 years ago from a Vermont based company. His pieces are now in my parents house and have held up beautifully over the years. I thought I had made the right decision in buying Vermont made furniture that would also hold up to the test of time; however, this was not the case. I would have been better off inheriting his 50 year old set (with absolutely no issues with the finish) rather than buying new from VWS.And lastly, I wanted to say that for one piece of furniture to have a defective finish is one thing, but for both pieces to have a defective finish is a pattern indicative of a universal problem with the finish.Based on this latest information, I continue to regret making this investment. Beware the Bait and Switch... I called regarding a clearance bed on the website and was told I could pick it up in a couple days as it needed to be brought from the warehouse to the store. Sounds good, except I received another call from Shawn (sp?) indicating that an employee planned to purchase the bed and the public price was possibly incorrect. Third call, Shawn stated that the employee was no longer interested however the price has now more than doubled if I was still interested. I am so disappointed with the incorrect information both written and spoken.

I recently bought three Polywood Adirondack Chairs from Vermont Woods Studios and they are excellent! Sturdy, comfortable, and well-built. Also, the salesperson who sold them to me was knowledgeable, thorough, and above all else, friendly! I ordered a table a few weeks before most businesses shut down due to Covid-19, so it took a few weeks longer than originally anticipated. But the folks at Vermont Wood Studios kept in touch with me and I was pleasantly surprised when the delivery company in Seattle called to set up a time for me to receive my table! It’s just what I had hoped for. Now I need to order a couple if chairs. The cheap ones I have don’t do justice to this gorgeous piece of craftsmanship.

We purchased a queen bed, night stands and chest for a vacation home in the west. The craftsmanship is outstanding and it fits the room perfectly. Delivery was a bit awkward because we were there to receive it for only a short window. Kellie in the logistics area was outstanding and worked with us and the delivery company to make it work. Delivery company was very professional and efficient. We very much appreciated the attention VWS put forth to have this all come together for us.

My husband and I ordered a custom writing desk for our living room as we needed certain dimensions and did not want a drawer. The ordering process was simple and fast. The desk was completed in the timeframe they had given and delivered to CT without an issue. I can’t say enough about how much we love the desk! Beautiful wood, great craftsmanship, the finish is stunning. Well-worth spending the extra money as opposed to buying cheap stuff from China! This is a desk we will have and enjoy for the rest of our lives.

I purchased a set of bedroom furniture manufactured by Copeland through Vermont Woods Studios. Because of the total purchase amount, free white glove shipping was included.Crafting and shipping took 3 months, a reasonable time frame. There were numerous problems with the order as delivered. The mirror arrived with broken glass. The headboard and footboard of the bed were cracked. Several joining dowels in the bed were too long, preventing assembly. Several different pieces of incorrect hardware and parts were included for the bed. It took two additional months to resolve all the issues with the bed, and I had to fix some of the problems and assemble it myself. At this point we do not have the mirror.I have to cut Copeland some slack for the fact that this occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic; however, what I found extremely frustrating was that it took several attempts to resolve simple issues (“please send us the hardware for the bed”). All in all, Copeland advertises its “luxury furniture buying experience,” but I have to say I did not get it.————————Updated 7/28/20 to reflect that we now have a functioning bed and rating increased to two stars. I will update again when we get the mirror.

Gorgeous king size bed frame. Delivered far across the country only three weeks after we ordered and set up quickly and perfectly by the delivery crew. We are absolutely delighted with every aspects of our experience with Vermont Woods Studios.

This was a truly unique experience and their work is so beautiful. I had a very negative customer service experience by phone. I wanted to order a $1444 table that has the priced crossed out on the website, with it listed as an additional 20% off; however when I called to ask about the wood/stain, I was told that though the website said that, unless I spent $2000, I could not get that discount. They had no chairs for me to check out at their showroom, and when I asked to speak with someone else after the rep lectured me on showroom restrictions and quarantining due to Covid, I was on hold for 10 minutes (hearing everything in the background). Then a woman got on (finally!) and explained that though I couldnt see that there was no 20% discount (which of course would be difficult given that it listed the 20% discount even in the cart)- they were transparent about it because its listed in their exclusions section (which I couldnt find. She told me she didnt think wed have a good partnership (really? I wasnt finding there to be any partnership whatsoever), because I told her I thought the original CSR was slow, which she did, indeed, seem. Will not give them my custom as they misrepresent on their site.

What a pleasure to work with Vermont Woods Studios. I just received my Classic Shaker Hunt Board, and the quality was superb. The delivery was excellent--no problems. I was so impressed that I plan to add to my office furniture with a file cabinet!

We ordered an expensive bed from Vermont Woods Studios. Four days after receiving a confirmation and being charged thousands we were contacted saying there was a pricing error and asked for $800 more. The company was not willing to do anything at all to resolve this despite the large error. After discussing with customer service we were told prices may change without notice and we would receive a refund, without our consent. Very disappointing experience.

All aspects of this transaction exceeded our expectations--all the way from the friendly and knowledgeable sales team and showroom staff to the communications regarding delivery date to the delivery team. Of course, most importantly, the bed we purchased is well made, beautiful and as others have said, well worth the wait while it was being hand made in a workshop.

Great furniture. I love the work these folks do and am a repeat customer.They are not great to work with however and have a fairly indifferent attitude towards customers. Specifically:-- a week after I ordered an item, they put it on sale but would not honor the new price. Their cancellation provisions meant that I was penalized hundreds of dollars for ordering earlier.-- they did not keep their delivery schedule promise. Not even close.-- they did not communicate their delays to me. They made me inquire, then blamed their shipper or the weather -- neither terribly helpful.Good craftsmen. Careless business people.

I recently received a desk from Vermont. The build quality is outstanding. The woods chosen for the desk are gorgeous and the craftsmanship is top notch. I could not be happier!

I ordered a Copeland Sarah Sleigh bed from Vermont Wood Studios in November, 2019. The sales process went well and the bedwas manufactured on time with good communications on the status.The delivery process was very poor. Vermont Wood Studios used Styline Logistics for delivery - but they dont delivery to a residence soStyline used Deliveright/Massiano Logistics for final delivery to our house. We were told on a Monday the bed would be deliveredon Wednesday and to clear the room as the Deliveright/Massiano would not remove the old bed. Based on their direction I had theold bed disassembled and moved into storage. Then on Tuesday I was told there was a change in schedule and now the bed would be delivered the following Monday.I escalated this to executive management in Vermont Wood Studios and Skyline and despite their efforts they were unable toimprove on the schedule. This resulted in us sleeping on the floor for six days - and they called this white glove serviceThe frustrating issue - the delivery service was less than an hour away and they could have delivered the bed on time if they really wanted.The bed did arrive and its a nice piece of furniture. However, its clear that the manufacturer and distributor have no control over the delivery process.

Ive made a number of purchases with Vermont Woods Studios, including extensive outdoor furniture and a few interior pieces. Everything has proved to be of excellent quality; and the service from purchase to delivery was excellent.But most impressive for me from a customer service perspective was that a problem developed nearly two years after one purchase--a problem with no apparent explanation that rendered a beautiful cherry nightstand unusable. VWS agreed to evaluate the piece (and charge me for repairs as required). I tried to order $5,200 in dining furniture. They use pay pal, which for an unexplained reason rejects my purchase attempt. Maybe because I don’t use them, Vermont woods should give an option to use a credit card autonomous of pay pal, rather than letting pay pal direct who can purchase from Vermont woods. I’m sure I’m not the only customer they have lost.
