I know that the wait was long to get my windows but after i got the call that they were in everything changed. the gentlemen that they sent out were very professional and helpful. even giving me advise on how to clean them. as i need new windows for the rest of my house, i will call window world again.

We first used Window World about 20 years ago. At that time they did excellent work. We figured we would use Window World again to install new windows in our home. We reached out to the company and had a gentleman come to our home. We signed the contract on June 18th, 2020 with Andrew. After signing the contract, weeks went on and we heard nothing from the company. At that time we tried getting in contact with Window World numerous times and heard nothing. We became concerned because we had to pay a 50% deposit up front. After weeks and weeks Susan finally reached out and set the date of November 19th, 2020. Per the Window World disclaimer of Expected Delivery Time, “the approximate time between contract signing and when the windows or doors are ready to be installed, though not guaranteed is typically 8-12 weeks.”. The wait time was 16 weeks for us. After the installation of the windows we discovered damage that was done to the windows during installation. No one made us aware of the damages they made. See attached pictures. We sent the pictures of the damage to Jackie per her request. She stated someone would be out to look at the damage. The first appointment was cancelled amid finally came for second appointment. At that time one window was repaired. The remaining damaged windows had to be reported back to the main office for them to determine whether or not the damaged frames could be repaired. Again, we had to reach out to the company because no one contacted us for two weeks to inform us whether or not the window frames would be repaired. Once we were contacted by the main office we were told that the cost of repair would be $185.00 for each window frame THEY damaged. Keep in mind our home is only 15 years old. We are very disappointed in this company and their customer service. We will not be using this company or referring them to anyone.

The guys worked in very hot weather and did not stop until the job was done. I had 13 windows installed at a great price. 4 different estimates and Window World of Tidewater prices beat them all by $1000 to $2000 less.

Window World replaced our windows in 2010, and the windows have been wonderful. I recently had a problem closing a window that I had cleaned. James, Gayle, and all the staff were conscientious and pleasant. It took James about two minutes to get the window back on track. Within the last year, one top window had to be replaced, and again, the service was timely and the staff cooperative. Thank you!

I needed new windows throughout my entire house including a large bay window. I had three quotes and Window World was by far the best priced. From initial measurements to installation, the customer service was amazing. Mike and his entire installation crew were extremely thorough and professional when putting my windows in. They took the time to ensure I was happy with the work and took the extra second to clean everything up when they finished. I would recommend this company to anyone that wants quality work done and I look forward to using them in the future.

I called Window World of Tidewater to inquire about getting new exterior shutters w/ installation, which is a service that they list on their website. Though I was informed that they only will offer the purchasing and installation of exterior shutters if you purchased your windows through them and that shutters alone was not worth their time to come out. Interesting response since their website does not state this requirement anywhere.

I have been waiting 8 months to have my windows installed. Every time I call to inquire about scheduling my installation, Nancy tells me they should be calling me in a few weeks to add me to the schedule. I have been told this multiple times over several months. When I inquired about canceling, they tell me I’m not able to do that either. I would not recommend this company. They don’t hold up their end of the contract and then don’t allow you to cancel. They may have lower prices than other major installers and now I know why.Update: 4/17/2021They installed the windows. They look amazing. I’m bumping up the review to 3 stars. The manufacturer sent the wrong size window for one of my half circle windows. Other than that, the install was fast and relatively easy.

We recently had OLD and rotten windows replaced in our outdoor shed. The windows were back ordered for longer than we were originally told due to COVID, but the company corresponded with us and kept us updated. The windows did arrive about a month sooner than we were expecting and we received a call one day and the windows were installed the next day. The workmen were professional and courteous! We are very pleased with the quality of the product and all the staff at Window World.

A very good product but WW failed to contact me during my 8 month wait without updates of possible delivery date changes. There was a letter but a personal contact would have helped to ease stress. The installers said that they had received the same complaint from other customers about the lack of personel contact by WW. WW continued to advertise their products without mentioning the delays in filling orders. Also one if my front windows fogs due to temperature changes.

I had successfully used Window World on 2 previous occasions. When I ordered this complete window replacement I wasnt told until after the contract was signed that there would be a long delay in installation. As it turned out it was 7 months. Shocking. And they took and held a substantial deposit. I had a lot of difficulty getting straight answers out of the office staff. All in all it was a harrowing experience blamed on CoV. I think honesty could have gone a long way in this situation. The actual installation was fast and efficient. If you select them plan to have lots of patience and be prepared to talk to a pretty abrupt staff with few answers to your questions. If you have a tough skin you can save a little money with them.

Very professional crew. Explained everything that they did. Went right to work..knocked out the job and were terrific. Love my new 4000 Series windows installed in January 2021. Due to Covid, installation was delayed but it was worth the wait. My installers were Whit and Marty. These 2 guys were very professional with their install and after clean up you never would have known they were there. There 2 guys had an excellent attitude and were very respectful. I had Window World install 59 windows over the past 10 years and I’ve always had Mike’s crew handle the install. If I was just reviewing the crew, the review would be 10 stars, as Mike and his crew are top notch.The wait times for the windows are well below average and not just because of Covid. As I said before my windows have been installed over a ten year period so I’ve been with them a long time. Many times the lead times were months out.The office staff is definitely not one of my favorites. They rarely call you back, they disconnect calls and often can’t answer questions.Overall, the value is pretty solid, the windows are well crafted and they stand by their products.

I ordered 26 replacement windows in the beginning of November 2020. I was told because of the pandemic it would take approximately 6 months to installation, compared to pre-pandemic timeline of 8-12 weeks (which was written in the fine print of my contract). I agreed and applied 50% of the total cost upfront. In March of 2021 I received a letter from Window world informing customers of continued delays in manufacturing and therefore effect installation timelines. After 6 months of waiting I called window world hoping I would get a firm date for my installation. I was told installs were now between 7-8 months and I should get a call in June or July. I called again today (June 5th, 2021) and was told it would be in July or August when I would receive a call to schedule my installation. It has been 7 months since I ordered my windows. Other than an impersonal letter, I have not once received a call from window world for an update. The thousands and thousands of dollars I gave to window world upfront was a mistake. I have never waited this long for anything like this. I found out local competitors like Paramount (no more than 6 months), Pella (6-12 weeks) and Thompsoncreek (5-8 weeks) deliver their products much sooner than window world. The real shame in all of this is it appears window world received consistently good reviews before the pandemic. Since then, reviews in delivery and customer service have diminished considerably. After 7 months I still dont have my windows, I dont have any idea when I’ll receive them other than a moving target date, and I’ve spent thousands of dollars for something I dont have and will never get back. If negative stars were available in the review process, window world of tidewater would warrant it.

I wonder do they think holding those big boys on the commercial cute!!!Put them on the floor & let them stand quietly. Let the dad or dads or family speak, not the kids. Its not cute at all but rather sad to try attracting customers! In my opinion...

Window World’s crew came out and installed all 15 windows in one day! They were professional, thorough, and friendly. My windows look great!

Good windows at a fair price. Salesman was knowledeable and professional. Installation crew was efficient, professional, and cleaned up well.The only problem was the length of time to get the windows. The contract said 8-12 weeks. When I ordered, they said it would be more like 14 weeks due to COVID. In the end it was 24 weeks. Some delay is to be understood with the pandemic but a delay of 100% is too much, especially with no discount being provided for the delay.

My Aunt used them a couple of months ago and she has mold growing around the windows they replaced in the back of the house. They are slow about fixing the problem. $5000 and mold; that’s unacceptable!!!

Had to wait 6 months for door to come in for install due to the virus. The quality and installation of the door was great. The installers did great job, they took their time to ensure the door was installed correctly.

We waited a long time from order to install because the install teams and factory were shutdown for COVID-19 safety. It was well worth the wait. The windows are fantastic. The installation & sealing was good. My only issue is that when the old door was removed, they didn’t cut the caulk completely & paint chips were pulled off. Also, when the new door was installed, caulk was smeared on the painted wall. Since I don’t have touch-up paint, I had to try color-match at Lowe’s. Very close, Not exact, but the only option was to repaint the room. Personally, I think a better job measuring could be done. That’s why they didn’t get 5 stars.

I would give zero stars if possible. When getting the original estimate in July the salesman told me that they would not get my windows or sliding glass door in until November, but I still had to pay half of the estimate upfront. They were backed up because of the pandemic, but I agreed because of their great reviews and payed half upfront. It is now late January and there are still no windows or door, and Window World still has $1794 of my money that I payed in July. Every time I call for an update, they tell me next month and then it becomes the next month and there is no progress. I am starting to believe that they never ordered my windows or door because everyone that I talk to tells me they do not have an estimated time of arrival. I asked to talk to Jackie, and we have been playing phone tag and she has never called me back since I left her a message on 1/22. Take your business elsewhere and avoid this company at all cost. I would love to get my money back at this point.

4 estimates to replace windows in our house, Window World was the best. But what really set them apart was the knowledge of the sales person about what we needed and why. Replaced a door to the deck with a sliding glass door that really opened up the great room. This was an investment resale home and we had one open house and it sold the first day in large part due to the appearance of the house with new windows. Salesperson noted every repair and improvement needed and his plan was followed flawlessly by install team .21 windows and 8 ft sliding door installed in about 4 hours. I don’t recommend Window World!!!They installed new windows for us and couple of them were not leveled. When they came today again they just started laughing at me and refused to fix it. When I asked to put trim on they said : your husband will do that!But trim was included in price!!!! And I already paid for it!It’s not how you have talk to your customers!!! I’m very disappointed! Never again!

Terrible customer service! We ordered windows in June and were told 16-18 weeks. Install should have been September but pushed back to November 18 (today). Confirmation of install was made yesterday. At 8am this morning we received a call saying their truck was broke down and needed to reschedule next Tuesday. This is unacceptable. Day off from work was taken and ALL window treatments and blinds removed in the house, not to mention next Tuesday is 2 days before Thanksgiving. The worse part is that we have called multiple times to speak to the office manager Karen, and she has refused taking our call or calling us back. This post is for anyone who is deciding to purchase windows. You may not want Window World!

Hello, I had the pleasure of having 7 windows installed by Window World on March 10th 2020. The three young gentlemen was “ Excellent “ in all aspects. They were very professional, respectful and knowledgeable about the service in which I received. The timing was wonderful and they took the pleasure of cleaning everything up once they completed the job. The Windows are great, this is my second time having windows installed by Window World. The windows themselves are good. It is important to know that they do NOT replace your existing windows as they are currently installed. They remove your old windows and then install the replacements in the current finished opening. If you have plans of remodeling I highly recommend waiting.The team that come out to install the windows were very professional and did a good job at cleaning up after themselves.My rating is simply based off Window World of Tidewaters failure to accurately explain this to me even though I asked several questions and mentioned I was going to be remodeling one of the rooms.

We are very pleased with the quality of the windows and sliding glass door that were installed on our sun porch. We were also impressed with the salesman who recommended the style of windows we purchased, as they were actually the least expensive of the styles to choose from. The installers were very professional and the finished product looked great. The exterior trim work they used was custom formed and very complementary to the new windows. We would have rated our experience with Window World a 5 but for one thing; when removing the old glass sliding door old termite damage was found with the frame, header, and plywood siding. The installer brought this to my attention and recommended the damaged areas be repaired/replaced before continuing with the new door installation. I agreed totally with the recommendation and inquired as to what it would cost to do make the recommended repair. When the installer called back to the office for a quote, it was almost double for what I would have expected for a straight forward job like this. The standard fee was $1500, which did include all materials. Which, in my opinion, broke down to less than $100 in materials and took 2 guys about 3 hours to accomplish. That makes for a charge of $233 per hour each. Yes, we could have gone out for other quotes, but the old door was gone and everything else was ready to go. SO, we bit the bullet and had them do the work. Once again, the workmanship was excellent. So, at least we got best value for our dollars. I would still recommend Window World as an excellent source for replacement windows.

We needed a window replaced. They ordered our window it came earlier than expected which was amazing because we are in the mist t of the pandemic. The installer was here earlier and had new window installed promptly

The windows are gorgeous but the time it took for me to get my windows was horrible. Ordered my window in October 2019 and they didnt get installed until the end of March 2020 after several hiccups. Having to be rescheduled about 3 times due to weather and then when they came to install, the windows didnt fit so I had to wait again for them to be made at the factory. But everyone was polite and my windows look amazing.

I had windows replaced 10 years ago and one of them lost its seal. With no questions asked they pulled my account ordered the window and had it installed within 2 weeks. Awesome company.

I called WW first thing Monday morning searching for pile weather stripping for my windows. It wasnt so much that they dont carry it. It was your attitude. You said since I didnt purchase your windows that you couldnt help me. Im fine with that,but again it was your attitude. I work for a thriving 65 year old business doing hardwood floors. You think we only sand floors that we installed?

I bought replacement windows about 6 years ago and was very happy with the outcome. A few months ago, I realized that two of the windows had vapor leaks so I called WW about it. The Customer Service associate was very helpful and ordered the replacements. It took about 6 weeks, but when the gentleman came, he removed the old windows, put in the new ones in about 15 minutes. I was really happy with the whole experience and would recommend WW to everyone!

We have changed all our windows with them a few years ago, very happy with quality and value.One of my windows needed extra silicone from outside, they scheduled an appointment right away and did fix the problem.I have a piece of mind that they back me up if any problem come across.I certainly recommend them.

We just had all of our windows replaced by Window World and they did a fantastic job. The crew showed up on time and finished installing all 28 new windows in about six hours. All were professional and courteous. And they left our house and yard as clean as it was before they arrived. Highly recommended.

My husband and I called Window world because they had replaced all of our windows in our house except one that had been boarded up in the bathroom that is in a shower so we decide to call them to get a quote a guy named Wayne Smith came out and we were quite shocked because it took all of four minutes when he showed up looked at our boarded window started telling us that he can write us up an estimate and we didnt even get a chance to tell him what we wanted as hes walking back to the car were trying to explain to him what we want it was very unprofessional he did tell us he wanted to come by earlier than our appointed time because he was having a migraine coming on which was fine but when you do not give customers a time to explain what they want and you write up an estimate which the estimate does not coincide with what we wanted and not sure what two locks have to do with a picture window but anyway after he wrote the estimate he left and stated he wouldnt put a window in the bathroom anyway and if we decide to go with him thats fine but he suggested not to put the window in and just keep it boarded and cover up the window with the shower and that is not what we wanted this was very poor on his end and we have all our windows from Window world and they were put in back in 1999 - 2000 after that interaction and him seeming not to give a care what do they wanted our business or not we decided we are not doing business with them again I did make a comment on Facebook this really upset me and my husband as we wanted to have this done if I could give no stars I would but it wouldnt allow me to leave my review stay clear of Window world because they seem to have employees who just dont care he didnt even ask when we wanted the window put in it didnt ask no questions didnt measure the window just looked at it and said he was running up an estimate the whole conversation or appointment only lasted four minutes.

The crew who came out to install our windows was professional, fast and efficient. They arrived exactly when they said they would and cleaned up after themselves after the job was done. I would definitely recommend Window World to other people in this area looking for a good window company.

Ordered two doors in June and was told, due to the pandemic, it might take as long as three months to get them installed...but was told to pay a 50% deposit. After 3 months with no information called and was told it would now be 4-6 months...but they would keep the deposit. At no time did they offer to contact the factory, return part of the deposit or do anything to solve the ridiculous delay. The excuse was always the pandemic. Sorry we chose to work with them. Its been 5 months and still no doors.

Every window in my home was replaced by WW and also my front and rear doors. Quality products, knowledgeable salesmen and installers. We had a sit down with a representative from Mr. Rogers Windows and the rear door would have cost over $5000 dollars. We turned to WW and they quoted us over $2000 less for the same door from the same manufacturer. The professionalism, knowledge and the do it right install was a great experience. I highly recommend WW for any home improvement you need.

The installers are incredible and really make it look easy. The only hard part is dealing with the office. You have to kick and scream to get an install date. Was told it would be 6 to 8 weeks before our windows would be ready. Recieved a call 2 weeks later asking to install the next day. When were called back they said they found someone else first. I asked for a set date since my windows were in and the lady kept saying thats not how it works. After taking to numerous people and I believe the owner that lady called me back with a date 45 days out. She was the only part of my experience i didnt enjoy, thats why its only 4 stars. Everyone else was nice and pleasant to deal with. I would recommend them to everyone and give them a heads up about our small problem with the office personnel.

Installed a sliding glass door to replace a wooden frame door that had wood rot. Initial survey was accurate and professional. Installation was efficient and professional. Very satisfied with the quality of the door. Delivery of the door took several weeks longer than originally quoted. Initial install was postponed due to installer being delayed by an earlier job. I never heard back from the scheduler to reschedule so I called and was told that I would need to wait another month since I had canceled the initial install, which was not true. Scheduler was able to find a more acceptable date. Would definitely recommend Window World to friends and neighbors.

At the beginning, to reel us in, customer service was great. After they got our deposit slow getting the work done was an understatement. Constant call to narrow down a work date was unbelievably. After 3 months they finally begin work but didnt finish; then 2 weeks later they finished. The contractors did a good job, but professionalism and service was poor at best.

I love Window World. No matter when Ive called them, they are courteous, respectful, and responsive. Ive had these windows since 2013 and I had an issue with one window staying up when raised. Called WW, appointment scheduled quickly, tech showed when promised, issue resolved within minutes. PERIOD ... next house that needs windows? Window World, I am a customer for life!!

I was SO impressed. I didnt expect to be. Window World was the lowest estimate....buy a fair amount. They advertise a lot. I really expected to get by with the job they did, but did not expect to be impressed. I am IMPRESSED. The job was replacing the upper windows in a two story room. They also had to take down and replace vertical blinds that had been in place for 30 years and would cost a true fortune to replace. We were very nervous. The crew arrived mid morning (they had to come to the Peninsula from Virginia Beach through the traffic). We never thought they could do such a complicated job in one day. They were completely finished before 4:00. They were marvelously professional. They absolutely made it look easy, which it certainly was not and they did all these nearly impossible things with such good humor that it was a real pleasure to have them in our home. I would and do recommend Window World without reservations.......no with enthusiasm. Our last window replacement project was done by Mr. Rogers Windows and they were excellent too......but at a much much higher price.

Bought a house in Suffolk, VA . A glass cracked we called to see about replacement . Was told no go we bought house 2 months ago . Was told that we did not buy the guarantee we knew nothing about it .. SO REMEMBER if selling your place to offer that to buyer I talked to someone and seems like did not want to work with me ... Window World was highly recommended by two neighbors, and they were right! The staff made the process easy from the initial visit to give an estimate and measure- right through the installation. The install crew called ahead and were here when they promised. The team of three finished our eight window job quickly, cleaned up, gave us info and a quick lesson about use and care, explained the warranty, and carted the old windows off with them. We love our new new windows and will be another neighbor to recommend this company.

Our salesman was very knowledgeable, kind and not at all pushy. He gave helpful suggestions to keep us on budget. We ordered the windows in October, they arrived in January, and we scheduled a Saturday install for February. We had 11 windows and it took the crew of three 2 1/2 hours to install. They also showed us how to use the windows-gotta know how to clean them. They left the house spotless. My husband joked that our house is now a Yeti...it is now that well insulated.

My experience with Window World was professional and pleasant. The installation crew was timely and neat. It was definitely worth every penny. The new windows gave my older and out dated home a new face lift. My only complaint would be, I wish the windows didn’t have to take 6 weeks to make and have shipped from the factory. Outside of that I am definitely using them again and strongly insists that others try them as well.

We had our windows replaced in early 2016, since then Ive had 3 inserts replaced due to silica haze. I recently found two more that need replaced. We do have a lifetime warranty however its a real pain in the butt to have to continuously check my windows now. If youre looking for fast installation, Window World is not the go to place. Expect 8-12 weeks after ordering (which was totally fine by us). Installers did a fantastic job installing but not very good with the cleanup, I found broken pieces of glass and nails left in our yard.

Our love our new windows and the customer service was great!No hassle waiting for someone to answer the phone. They showed up when they said that they would. Brandon, our sales guy was very knowledgeable, courteous, and gave a good presentation of the windows and his company and he answered all of our questions. I thought that the cost was reasonable for the quality.The window guys that came to install also came right on time when they said that they would. They, too, were very respectful and worked efficiently. They made sure to put a work sheet under the windows to not leave a mess and cleaned up nicely when they were done. Thank you for a great job done! I would highly recommend Window World to anyone interested getting windows. I love the way the windows have complimented and made our house look.

Window World replaced all the windows in my two-story house and in the outside shed. Process for ordering the windows was very easy. The window installation was quick and the guys did a great job. Having all new windows has definitely saved me money on my energy bill. Will be calling them back in the near future to replace my back door

I purchased a house in 2011. All the windows in the house were replaced by Window World in 2008 with a lifetime warranty. The stipulation was that the warranty was only transferable to a new homeowner within the first 30 days of the sale. Like most people when they move, I had many other priorities going on like getting my daughter ready for the new school year and buying furniture. Now, the windows are 10 years old and I cannot see out of half of them because they apparently had faulty seals an now have mildew in them that cannot be cleaned. I called Window World to see if they would stand behind their product that they so proudly boast about on TV. The lady on the phone was very cold and unsympathetic to my situation and basically implied that because I didnt transfer my warranty in the first 30 days of me buying the house, that they will not stand behind their product. First, I dont know why a company require warranties on permanent fixtures to be transferred. That shows lack of confidence (not to mention that you have to BUY the warranty). If you really believed in your product and cared about your customers, you would stand behind it regardless. From my experience, these windows are only good for about 5 years so youll definitely want to PURCHASE the warranty and MAKE SURE YOU TELL THE NEW HOMEOWNER ABOUT IT IF YOU SELL. Otherwise wise this company will not stand behind their product and you may be out some serious money. Good Luck to you all.

Outstanding products (Windows, French doors, sliding doors and front entry door and storm door) are second to none. All appointed installation dates are completed by professionals on time!When installing my front entry door, the current doorbell had a little hiccup and instead of doing a minor repair, the replaced the old with a new doorbell without concerns about cost.My next project is vinyl siding and rest assured Window World will be installing them! Its like having family helping me complete my projects.

Salesman was not pushy. Windows look great. Install was seamless. The wait from contract to install was a little long, but worth the wait. They are busy because they are good.

It took me almost two weeks to get the appointment for October 31, 2019. I was alright with that but I got a call that morning and was told the technician called in sick so they rescheduled me for November 7, 2019. When I called today 6 November to reconfirm my appointment I was told I didn’t have one. I am so mad. I thought this was a reputable company. What a joke!!!! I will be taking my business somewhere else.

I own a beach cottage built in 1934. When I purchased the home it had old fashioned pocket windows. They rattled in the winter, and made the house hard to both cool and heat reliably. In 2005 I contacted Window World and had them replace my pocket windows with very nice serviceable replacement windows. My heating costs went down, and my house was more livable. Flash forward to 2018. A few of my windows were weathering poorly - the coatings had started to oxidize, and they werent attractive any more. I contacted Window World and with litter more than an email they replaced all of the fogged up windows - no charge, on my schedule and at my convenience. If you are considering replacement windows LOOK NO FURTHER! These guys are the best!!

They seriously did better than I thought they would do. They didnt try to upsell or nickel and dime me, which I was expecting. They did exactly what they said they would do at a good price. I find that rare these days.I have a good friend thats a contractor. He told me to go with Window World b/c he cant even beat their prices for me.
