They have a lot of pop culture stuff that Ive never seen anywhere else. Just be mindful that the employees will deceive you. They will ask you if you want to save 10% by signing up for a free membership, but it is actually only a free trial. They use the card that you make the purchase with to sign you up for a membership program that costs $12.99 a month. The membership program can be very difficult to cancel. When you call to cancel they will try to use guilt tactics to get you to stay. I cancelled the card I used in store just to be safe. Honestly, the BoxLunch store in the mall has similar stuff and they dont deceptively sign you up for a monthly membership...

It was a good visit. They have a wide variety of anime items at a very reasonable price.

Fye is a great store, always has a great music selection, posters and hard to find music related items.

Awesome store. Great staff, come here often to get horror movies. Average price of one horror movie on blue ray is about $10!

I rarely go to fye so when I was offered the 10% discount at this particular store in lynnhaven mall I asked specifically if there were any monthly costs and was told no. Bug surprise when after the transaction was completed she handed me a pamphlet saying it would be 11.99 a month if I dont cancel and would have to wait a day to before I could cancel. Thankfully member support successfully cancelled the application. This review is for the lynnhaven location only. Cant possibly give over 1 star when deception is involved no matter how good products are

It was very nice, I saw some things in there that I had never seen before but it was a little overwhelming to sign up for their VIP thing. You have to sign 3 or 4 times its very confusing and its more beneficial to cancel it and renew it whenever you go in there.

Its an F.Y.E. so pretty typical. Hipster behind the counter who wears the expression of Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons. Weird kit-kat flavor from Japan and every movie from the 90s you didnt know you were looking for as well as the odds and ens to go with that movie. You ever been into an F.Y.E. anywhere? Well, its like that but cleaner.

Loved it. Found a bunch of hidden gems here, including vinyl!!! A must for the person that is looking for a hidden gem or something interesting

Unless you want to buy something. (Which I do NOT endorse!) Forget about it. Jumped through hoops just to get an appointment with one of their genius technicians. Their words, not mine! Invalid lady with two strokes forgot her password, did not know the email set up under. And the Ipad was given to her as a gift 1 and a half years ago...so no receipt. They were unable to unlock her machine so she could use it. She now owns an expensive paperweight. I was told no way around this.....unacceptable as far as I am concerned.

Lots of different interesting items there. the staff member was eating lunch behind the desk when we were in there, not very professional, maybe they should have 2 people working there to relieve one another for things of that nature.

This location of F.Y.E. is nestled inside the lovely Lynnhaven Mall in Virginia Beach, Va. Lynnhaven mall is a true shopping mall, rather large but not Mall Of America huge. The mall is in a relatively safe and busy area. F.Y.E. is, if youve never been, a novelty shop dedicated to music and television entertainment themed merchandise. Specifically, dvds, cds, dvd box sets, vinyl records, record players, t-shirts, pop figurines, candy, headphones, etc. A large portion of the merchandise is anime related as well, so if you like that genre, you definitely want to visit. The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff are helpful and cheerful. As this location is inside a shopping mall, there are no restrooms or seating inside. Youll find plenty of that in the mall itself. There is no entrance outside of the mall, so prepare to have to traverse a minimal distance from a main entrance to get here. Would totally recommend a visit. This is a fun place to go.

The store was really bland compared to the FYE I grew up with. There wasnt much selection considering the size of the store. It seemed to be trying to be an imitation of other pop culture stores we see today. Service was good however but there was only one employee. You might have a better chance going to Boxlunch or Hot Topic.

Love this FYE location. Good variety of goods with very clear demarcations of where certain merchandise is. Nice staff and just a fun place to check out while at the mall.

It is so unfortunate that the store in Pembroke/Town Center location in Virginia Beach is closing. This Lynnhaven Mall location is much smaller. They have good deals on both DVDs and BluRays but not much in variety to choose from.

Last of its kind in the area, great selection of merchandise, only wish the DVD stock was more abundant other than that definitely worth stopping by.

I have always liked this place. They have a very good assortment of specialty toys that you cant find in many other places. Im not really into CDs but they seem to have a pretty good assortment of those as well. they also seem to have a pretty good assortment of DVDs and blu-rays. They do have a pretty cool but limited selection of specialty candies that are a little rare as well. I do worry that this place will not be around much longer because of other competition like hot topic and a couple other stores that seem to be popping up then I cant recall the names of.

The people working there were the nicest ever. The store was very clean and organized as well. Thet were extremely helpful, answering all of our questions wo hesitation! What a breath of fresh air.

I placed an order on Feb. 4th for 1 in stock item and 3 preorders. The in stock item was sent but it was the wrong item. I emailed them, got the instructions and sent it back. They resent the item and it was the same wrong item. At this point sent the item back and told them I want a full refund. It has been 1 3/4 months and I have recieved only the refund for the pre orders and not the in stock item that they incorrectly sent me twice. There is no actual customer service number and they dont actually respond until you email them and ask for an update. After sending the wrong item back and waiting over a week for the replacement to be sent( which was the exact same wrong item) I emailed asking questions. They said at 4:00 pm on Feb. 25 that oh your item was already sent out back on the 25th like I was simple they thought I wouldnt realize they sent the item right after I asked about it. The interesting part is they sent the usps tracking number which showed the label was created until after I emailed them and the item was not picked up until usps picked it up the next day but yet they acted like it was already sent out. This is the most corrupt and misleading company I have ever dealt with. J will never deal with them again. This is just a summary of what Ive had to deal with and I still dont have all my money refunded yet.

So much to choose from, something for everyone. I remember when it was just a DVD and CD shop. I like the new theme! All things entertainment and pop culture.

Its not the same without the music CDs. But then, Im just old school.

Came in there on Sunday 2/16/2020 between 2-3 and the cashier was extremely rude and disrespectful. My husband daughter and I were checking out and he tried to get us to sign up for something and when my husband said no, the man looked over and said “I’m done with today, I’m gonna shoot myself in front of everyone including the kids” RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY 6 year old. If I wouldn’t have gotten arrested, I would have put my hands on him. Will not be coming back and will spread the word to everyone I know about this.

Use cash when conducting transactions. This store location initiated a FYE Backstage pass VIP program using my debit card number. I did not consent to this service, denied it in store and (admittedly my fault) missed the charges on my debit card statement for 6 months. It was a blood boiling hassle to terminate this service, and I had to argue with the initial operator about whether I actually signed up for the service or not. After ten minutes of arguing back and forth, I was able to speak to a supervisor who granted the termination and refund. Use cash - do not use your debit card. That is all they need to start the service.

Alas, one of the last ones in the area...Hope it stays. Vast selection of CDs, DVDs, toys and collectables.

I went to make a CD...the machine was not working.... the supervisor told me to used my phone and l can get the CD sent to the store.... but l need help and they act like they didnt want to help me claiming she dont know nothing about how to do it after l asked her to help me ... lm sure if u work with music u should know something l felt as if she didnt want to help me christine try to aleast point it out on my phone.... manager or supervisor did not have on a name tag....l didnt know her name....if u going to work in a music store u need to know how to give better customer service.... or at least be knowledgeable on how you can direct someone how to use the website if your machine is down......lm very disappointed with the customer service coming from a manager...
