Vinny came out today to inspect my non-functioning gas fireplace. He was very pleasant and thoroughly answered all of my questions. He got my fireplace up and running and was very tidy. Highly recommend—but it might take a month or two to get an appointment.

I have used this company in the past, and though it was hard to get an appt for start up, they were reliable. I called early this year, so that we would be up and running before cold weather came. I had an appt for 4:00 pm, but the technician showed up at 12:30. I told him that I was sorry, but I had a procedure at the hospital and had to leave in 5 min. He was adamant that he look at what he was going to be dealing with before coming back. Though I really didn’t have time, I let him in to check out the fireplace. He then proceeded to tell me that he could light my pilotLight in 2 seconds, even though I was scheduled for a cleaning and inspection. I told him again that I had to leave in less than 5 min. He then informedMe that he was not going to wait around and come back at 4:00 when he could light the pilot light in 2 seconds. I have never been so rudely spoken to and disrespected. I got a simple I’m sorry when I called and informed the office what happened. I would NOT recommend this company under any circumstances

We upgraded our fireplace from a wood burning to natural gas. Gas Speciality Co. installed our gas line from the meter in less than 4 hours with a fine crew of four technicians having a specific task to complete. The entire company consist of professional men and women. I will use them in the future if the occasion arrives.

Arranged for an annual service call to inspect and clean our gas log system. The technicians, Steven and Bradley, arrived on time and immediately began working. Since its been several months since we have used the system, I asked a few questions to refresh my memory. Professional, knowledgeable, and customer-service oriented aptly describes these two technicians. Will definitely continue to use Gas Specialty Co to service our natural gas log system.

Great customer service and friendly staff. They are always helpful and fair. The service technicians are prompt. They come in and put on foot covers & use a blanket to cover their work area. They have cleaned my gas logs and repaired a part on them. My remote went out at a later time, they came out & checked into the issue and replaced my remote. I am ready for the winter!!

We were having trouble with our pilot light in the gas fire place. They diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly. The techs were friendly, respectful, and very professional. I would definitely call them again.

Five stars! The team was amazing to work with. They went above and beyond to install a fire pit gas line. They exceeded my expectations. My yard was a mud pit after all the recent rainfall in Chesapeake. That didn’t stop them from completing the complex installation and getting it inspected by the city so that my backyard project could continue.

Nachum and his crew with Gas Specialty ran almost 200 feet of gas lines for 3 different systems in my home this week and I am beyond impressed. These men were professional and kind. They communicated clearly and ensured my understanding of the scope of the projects. There were a couple of hiccups which Nachum navigated effortlessly by bringing his expertise and job integrity front and center! This is an exceptional company I’ve done business with for years and am amazed that they continue to get better and better when they were fabulous to begin with!

Installation went fine. I was overcharged for services not performed. The owner told me the higher price for the cook-top was due to having them hook it up. The technicians told me the same thing as did the secretary. They ultimately did not hook up the cook-top, I did. They also tried to over charge me for 20 extra feet of gas line that was not installed. I was quoted 80 feet, but I actually measured what was installed and it only came up to 58 feet. If I had not checked their work myself I would have been charged $200 extra. The owner would not lower the price of the cook-top installation, even though I installed it. He stated that there was more labor involved. This is not what he originally told to me. I have no problem paying for services rendered, but when you change your story about the description of the costs, I have a problem. I spoke to people who know the owner and I was told that he routinely overestimates jobs. Beware of this company, you pay for more than you get. The work performed by the actual technicians was good and they are friendly, but the customer service and business practices of the owner are shady.

Just had techs out to service my gas logs. Could not have more polite & professional. They used shoe covers, and put down a drop cloth in front of the fireplace. They were very helpful explaining the operation of the logs. I will definitely recommend their services.

These guys should stay away from the gas. I called several companies. finally found one. this one literally did nothing for me because they didnt return my call. cant believe this area. horrible service wherever you go, not just this place, its rampant. what ever happened to southern hospitality?

These guys were great. I had them put in a line in the yard to my paver porch with a gas fireplace I built and a line into the house to convert my fireplace to gas. Extremely knowledgeable and creative. My self constructed fire pit on the paver porch required flexibility, creativity and problem solving and they did not even blink but made it work and it looked magnificent when they were done. The pricing was more than reasonable and the work was great. 5 months after they dug the line in my yard you could not even tell it was ever dug up.Nachum, Billy and Bradley did a great job, thank you guys
