Tomcat course in horrible shape. Marshall hurried us even though we were on pace and finished a little over 4 hours. They had alot of pairs and 3 some behind us and apparently it was our fault people were jammed up. Took forever to find a ball in the weeds a yard or two off the fairway. Bunkers full of weeds and no sand at all, just mud. Needs alot of work to get up to pace with hornet course.

Rude cashier or whomever was at the front for the restaurant. There are other ways to address customers when you have 15 min left before you close. I understand, you want to go home and we had no knowledge you were closing. But telling us hey, were closing in 15 min so hurry up and order is not the right way to approach someone.

The clubhouse was nice..The Tomcat course was so so. The greens need serious attention and even though you should do your best to avoid sand traps I dont think you can call them sand traps...dead grass sticking up and literally no sand in there at all. The traps look more like concrete, and the cart paths will cause your back pain from all of the pot holes and so on..Serious attention is needed IMO.

Course was in pretty great shape today. The greens were airrated a few weeks ago but filling in nicely. Walked 18 and had a fantastic day. Wish they would put the coolers of water back out and the rakes for the sand.

Today the experience was mediocre. I ordered the special which showed as a Buffalo chicken wrap. I got a green wrap with chicken in it but didnt have time to address it so I ate it. It was okay but had a few bones in it. Its close and we dont have to leave the base. Well certainly go back but Ill make sure I get what I ask for next time.

The biscuits and gravy were OUtSTANDING!!!! The women chef and staff (Asian heritage) were very courteous and friendly!!! 😀😀😀

Really good course. Kinda swampy in places but it did just rain the day before.

The Hornet is in great playing condition now, and the rates cant be beat for the area. F18s blasting off nearby scream freedom, so get your swing in overdrive at Aeropines. Friendly staff.

Came in on a Sunday morning. The guy at the counter was one of the rudest people I’ve ever encountered. No customer service, didn’t give the $37 per person price to play a military course. His response when I said good morning, was “just put your card in!” -uh I’m sorry? Wow. Last time I will ever be here. The cart path is less than okay. 4-wheeling in a golf cart. And the course is in rough shape. The rough is super tall. Patchy fairways. Nope- I’m good.

Excellent practice faculty and courses. Mr. Aros and Mr. Mumpower are two great coaches. Everything needed to master, The Greatest Game Ever Played.

Great, if your military. Cant get on if youre not. Ok, no worries. Price very reasonable for walking, expensive with riding cart. Course in great shape. Not many people.

Course is not in the greatest shape. First cut is filled with weeds, grass coverage isn’t great.

Stopped to hit some balls at the range, Changed my mind and played 9 on the Tomcat course, The ruff was tough, found 4 balls in 9 holes in the ruff, sand traps not the best, but the fairway was nice, and the greens were great! If you like them fast.

I went to Aeropine Snack Bar to order some breakfast food. The older lady did not acknowledge me until about 10 minutes later. However this wasn’t her first time. Her customer service sucks!!!

I am retired military and hit this facility when in town. This place has two tracks......one is championship status. I enjoy playing both when in town. Friendly staff and a great facility with reasonable greens fees.

Staff were friendly, the course was easy enough to for a first timer as well. We did 9 holes of the 18 on Tomcat. Well laid out, and the rentals were good. Only 40$ or so for some time on the driving range, 2 rented sets of clubs, and 9 holes of golf. Beer and food was cheap as well.

Always a good round at aeropines. Just wish they paid a little more attention to the tomcat course. Always seems to need a trim.

Comfortable place to paly golf with good people and simply chill with the family!

Two courses to choose from. Both are good, but most prefer the Hornet course. I like the Tomcat for 9 holes, because the 9th comes back around to the clubhouse. The Hornet course 9th is as far away from the clubhouse as any hole on either course. Definitely only play 18 if youre playing the Hornet course. The greens roll a little slower than most, but theyre also firm and rarely receive ball marks.

Enjoyable course, but the bunkers could use some work.

The sand traps need to have the weeds cleaned out of them. Yardage posts along the fairways would also make for a better playing experience.

Just finished a golf tournament there. Course was immaculate! Excellent staff and well stocked pro shop.

Nice and warm staff. Great place for breakfast and lunch.

A mixed review. Sometimes the conditions to play golf (not the weather) are good, sometimes not. Hornet is better than Tomahawk. The thing is, these could be real Virginia Beach gems and not also rans.

Played the Hornet Course and they did a fantastic job of cleaning the fairways and greens after TropicalStorm Michael. The course was in great condition and I plan to go again!

These courses need a lot of work. The bunkers are like rocks, they havent put money into either. Staff is friendly but at the condition the courses are in, they are over priced.

The clubhouse restaurant is reasonably priced (for a MWR facility), has good food, and great views from the seating area. The golf course is great. Again, cant beat the prices for the area.

Great staff, great prices and food! I played tomcat today. The course layout is challenging indeed for being such a short course but play is made even more challenging by how badly the course is maintained. The greens were rock hard and would not stop a ball and none of my putts broke. Speeds were inconsistant with some being lightening fast and others like i was trying to putt on shag carpet. There is a major weed infestation on many of the greens that will send your ball wildly off course. My partner said it looked like the greens had herpes. The sand traps were pretty rough and many lacked rakes. The yardage markers had grass growing pretty tall around them and were impossible to see unless you were standing on top of it. The fairways on the back nine were in much better shape than the front. I honestly feel that having two 18 hole courses is too much area to maintain. I would rather golf Sewells Point or Eagle Haven as fsr as MWR golf courses.Also, there needs to be more than one starter for two courses. I was in a threesome walking with noone in front of us. Behind us was two seperate twosomes riding that could have been put together.The course just needs more funding, the layout and the club house/ proshack are great, the money into the course is lacking
