Great selection back in the gear/parts department. I was undecided on a helmet, they talked through the different options, pros and cons, and ultimately helped me make the right decision. I have been riding for years but there are many options/designs on hand and they were able to set me up with the proper lid for my bike and riding style. Also got sized for a jacket and got a Bluetooth set up for the wife and I. We left with everything set up and ready to ride. Competitive pricing and a military discount to boot! I will be back in the future.

I haven’t been back to Cycle World since they don’t take responsibility for their staff’ actions. The first incident was when I left my VStar 1100 there for a front tire replacement. When I got the bike back there were two tire iron depressions on my chrome spokes wheels. The employee wouldn’t admit to this damage and management blew it off. I sucked it up and went on my way.The second incident was when I left my bike for a rear tire. they let the bike fall over and scratched the gas tank, chrome grips and chrome pipes. I was furious. This time I got a free windshield out of the deal but I will never go back. Sunrise Cycle is a much better group.

Friendly staff and service department was great. They completed service on my husbands motorcycle the same day. It was nice not having to wait for weeks or months to get his bike back. Will definitely be back in the future.

I had used another Motorcycle Repair shop in Norfolk to service my Yamaha and it was returned with more problems than when I dropped it off. I took it to Cycle World and was pleasantly surprised. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Especially Bob. He was awesome. My bike runs better than it ever has. Its like riding a new bike. I will use Cycle world exclusively for all repairs, parts and when I buy a New Bike. Thanks Guys, you went above and beyond. Awesome people!

Had a 2009 rmz in several times was going to let this service center repair the whole bike to 100% but when they called me stating 4000 to rebuild plus taxes and they needed deposit. I’d was blown away knowing I researched the part cost and was know where near then I finished full rebuild of top end. “Months later”. Needless to say my assessment was 250$ after completion of rebuild I brought it back in for valve adjustment and was charged 126.some change. Called ask why it wasn’t back together and heat cycles after asking them to get bike started. They said they set valves but in fact when I got it I called the tech in lead of vale shimm and start up. He stated “ your bike is adjust was a success exhaust cams .03 valve 10.something. This started in may it’s now September. And I’m out a new shop fee to laugh and say no one adjusted the vale’s cams and not only that I’m missing fairing bolts and everything under the son they not only took advantage of me cause I lived out of county. Anyway bikes now after a 900$ shop fee with springs they installed re installed and new fairing kit gasket for vale cover. So let’s say a 100$ job cost me 1000 never again. Get you new certified techs with less home problems so they come to work ready to meet expectations. Wouldn’t recommend this outfit if it offered lifetime maintenance “especially towards service.

About a month ago I went in for fork seals staff was very friendly and did great work however I was told there was some minor pitting on my fork that they sanded down smooth for me but there was a chance it might give me some issues. Went down to Florida and while I was down there I found my seal was leaking. I took it to a shop to have repaired and they flat refused the job because of the condition of my fork tube. They said the repair should never have been done and the fork needs replaced attached is a picture of the fork that they showed me down in florida (interior side unable to see when bike is together). And because of the length of my trip I havent been able to fix and had to ride back in this condition. My low star review is due to the fact that now In addition to paying for the initial fork seals I will have to pay for anougher set and a new fork instead of just getting a new fork tube and seal initially.Attached is interior view of fork seal they said was sanded smooth

I live in Elizabeth City and wanted to have routine maintenance done on my bike and also wanted to have a mechanic look at my bike to see why it was beginning to bog down when I hit the throttle. I called the 2 local motorcycle repair places here in Elizabeth City and was told they were at lease 4 weeks behind and they didnt know when they would get to my bike since my bike was not the manufacturer of the motorcycles they sold. I called Cycle World and was told first come first served so I drove the 1 hour to Cycle World and dropped off my bike. Cycle World called me 2 hours later and told me my bike was ready. Im pleased with Cycle World service department and now I will drive the hour to Cycle World knowing that my bike will be done quickly and right. (Friendly folks, they even helped me unload and load my bike).

Thoroughly useless customer services. The best service I got in my entire experience with them was the guy who delivered my bike up to Yorktown for me. I waited in the showroom for almost 20min when I went to buy the bike because at least 3 people told me my sales rep was on his way and never informed him I was there.Then, they misidentify the model year of the bike Im buying and I have to tell them about the MSRP difference.Finally, they fail to call me when my plates are ready. Despite them being able to get through to me just fine when arranging the sale and delivery, their admin didnt bother to try again to get ahold of me. I specifically requested that they mail me my plates when I purchased the bike and they didnt tell their admin staff about that.All in all, its a dysfunctional organization where its left hand is actively spiting its right with you, the customer, caught in the middle.

I bought a new bike a couple months ago. The dealership fees were kind of ridiculous but I couldnt find the bike anywhere else so I didnt have much choice. I was there for FIVE HOURS. I would have left and bought the bike somewhere else if I hadnt already signed all the paperwork. When they started it up the check engine light was flashing. Took them a couple hours to even figure out what (they thought) was wrong. They said that it wasnt a fault code, there was some software Kawasaki wanted downloaded onto their new bikes and it was taking forever to download. At the time I thought Ok not their fault really but they really should check their bikes before trying to sell them. Finally after 5 hours I told them to just give me my bike and Ill worry about that software at my first service.More issues surface later on. At the shop they tried to tell me I HAVE to have $500 or less deductibles, after arguing I just said no Im doing $1000 to keep my monthly down and they relented saying the leinholder will get in contact with me when they get the insurance info. Turns out, the leinholder never even received my insurance info from Cycle World, I had to upload it myself later AND they were ok with $1000 deductibles.I took my bike in to a different shop for my 600 mile service and I told them about the check engine light and what cycle world said it means. When I got my bike back the mechanic said I dont know what the guys you bought this from were trying to do but the light was on because it was STILL IN TRANSPORT MODE. I also talked to them about their models and their out the door prices had been $1000 less than Cycle World.

The Staff was so friendly and helpful that it was almost unreal. They listened to what I was looking for, showed me, and then offered me possible other bikes to look at. I cant wait until my new bike comes in. And a definite Thank You to Isaac, who helped me there. You are Greatly Appreciated, thank you for your help and time.

Honestly first time going there and having any work done ordered all new wheel bearings on a Saturday was told they would be in on that Tuesday or Wednesday and here we are 2 weeks later still no wheel bearings in they have no explanation for why they aren’t in don’t think I’m ever gonna return over 400$ just to get tires mounted on new wheels with new rim liners and tubes and new bearings and trued if needed prices are outrageous for parts shop online

What an amazing experience! Very polite staff, Ron and Joey are very passionate about making the customer happy and very knowledgeable about the bikes they are selling. They were more concerned that I was happy rather than making a sale. They just want to see happy riders. The on site shop had all the answers, and if they didnt have a piece of gear they were happy to order it. I took a bike in with sentimental value to be repaired and although the bike was beyond that point, Bob in the repair shop made sure I was aware of everything and also made sure I was happy with the decisions. Ron literally worked from home to make sure I knew what was going on the entire time. I could not say enough nice things about this establishment. If I ever need anything, I know where Im going and if I have any friends that need a ride or gear, I know where Im sending them. Thanks guys, you all rock!!

Back in November of 2020 I got my carburetors rebuilt by cycle world. It is May of 2021 and the 3rd carburetor is now pouring gas out onto the cylinder. Cycle world stated to me they do not guarantee workmanship for greater than 30 days. I would think the fact that I could have burnt to a crisp because of this they would be more interested in correcting the issue.Cycle World responded assuming I put my bike up for the winter. I ride all year long. Prior to the gas leak I had just completed a hundred mile ride. It was the poor workmanship of their carb rebuild that caused the leak.

If I could give ten stars I would, between the sales team to service i highly recommend all their services. A few months back on June 18th I finalized the purchase of my Honda CRF250L at cycleworld with Marty from sales and he made me feel comfortable with the buying process as this is my first bike. The sales manager was very understanding and helped with the deal and the receiving of my new honda as well. Marty also helped my connect with an insurance agent who got me set up with a great rate finance really did a great job explaining all the service and packages I could add on to the bike when we finalized everything. The service team today as of posting my review helped me understand what I was doing wrong with bike as I am very much green with getting on 2 wheels for the first time in a while and did a great job with service and understanding my issue, which turned out to be the loose nut behind the bars figuratively speaking. I dropped my motorcycle off on Monday morning for a full tune up sprocket replacement and a new chain installment done on Wednesday night great service and quick about getting bikes in and out never wait more then a week for any of my toys I drop off been using cycle world for 6 years now keep it up boys

Talked to a guy on the phone Monday about taking my motorcycle in for service but wanted to make sure they weren’t backed up which I was told they weren’t so I took it in by Wednesday at almost closing they still hadn’t got to it for a diagnostic so unfortunately I took my business else where for a first time experience this was not a great one!

I went in to get parts for my Yamaha and these guys are the best in the Hampton Roads area for customer service and knowledge of motorcycles...Im a fairly new street rider and they really explained what would be best for my situation and riding. Parts were readily available on hand and a great selection of Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki parts and service!

I recently dropped off my akrapovic exhaust at Cycle World for a next day install. Everyone I spoke with was respectful and treated me like my business was important. The next day I brought my bike to the shop and they had my exhaust installed in no time. I will continue to come back to Cycle Word for alllll my motorcycle needs. Great place!!!

Don’t have these people work on your 4 wheelers paid these people $1400.00 which supposedly I paid for two 4 wheeler carbs to be rebuilt. And I get them home filled up with fuel 2 days later I go to get on one all the fuel had dumped on the floor from both 4 wheelers thatThey rebuiltall the years I’ve had these machines never had that happen so the genius that works there told me I had to cut off the fuel supply everytime I park it and that won’t happen but anybody that knows anything about carburetors know that the float in the carburetorIs what allows the fuel to flow to the carburetorSo I’m telling them they need to fix there work and they feel like they did the carburetors correctly that’s why the fuel keeps leaking outSo I still have the problem just a side note one of the previous mechanics there actually drilled through my gas tank and they did a patch job on it but it’s funny how it’s not in there notes been taking my stuff there for 16 years even bought it from there store won’t buy anything over there again. Save yourself some grief no matter what they work on when you take it home you must have done something to it cause they don’t want to be bothered to take care of there customers Hope your ship sinks I will spread the word

Cycle world has great customer service and motorcycle maintenance. I gave Cycle World 2 stars because they just tried to sell me a 2021 Honda CRF125 for $6200. Retail on a CRF125 is $3199. Why double the costs....they pad their prices a lot, actually double. I found same bike in E. City for $3800 out the door. Ill also look for a cheaper maintenance shop cause i would rather keep my money in my pocket! See ya.

Worst repair shop ever they just want to take your money, you take them your bike they call you a few days later and tell you the problems they fix them, than soon as you think your bike is ready they claim it’s another problem

Went there yesterday to get a helmet and the 2 guys behind the counter were absolutely no help I was completely disappointed and I went there knowing i was going to buy a helmet and left there glad they did not have the first helmet option in stock and didnt even ask about the second helmet because of the lack of customer service. Hopefully they hire people that like their job instead of those guys clock watching hating they have to work. Btw this is my first bad experience normally a great place.

Greg tried to sell me a Honda Rebel 300 significantly over MSRP, and pushed me out of the store like I was an inconvenience to him as well. Very disappointed with my trip to Cycle World, despite having every intention of buying myself a bike soon.

I purchased a new Suzuki DRZ400s last Monday and everyone at cycle world made me feel welcomed. From sales to parts and service, everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them to anyone and Im certainly a customer for life!

Wouldn’t go anywhere else, always is my go to shop. When I first got into motorcycles I asked ALOT of people who I knew to ride motorcycles where they went to for service. Most people always say cycle world, I can personally say that I’ve spent a lot of money & time there so take it from me. They can be a little pricey with working with older models but trust me...well worth it. Take the word from a local, this shop is the best in the beach when it comes to moto.

Your customer service team, especially Ryan M and DJ are absolutely superb and Im not speaking from any one visit. Anyone can be awesome once. Ive been coming here for a year and each time they are on top of it, knowledgeable, and blunt about what they think is a good idea or not. They clearly giveashit about the rider. 10/10 all around and Ill be coming back and referring friends.

So I had a problem with my 450 dirt bike, and I gave them it 3 months ago. I came up there yesterday and they didn’t do a DAMN thing to it. Terrible customer service, and no one would explain why they didn’t do it.

I had a really positive experience with these guys. Went in with no expectations, and walked out with a bike that fit my needs perfectly. Both Joey and Will were easy going and helpful, I never felt pressured to buy. They got me financed even with credit issues. DJ in gear/parts department helped me pick out some great affordable gear, and I rode away in less than 3 hours. Highly recommend to anyone new to riding if you need an affordable bike, they got a killer selection.

I truly like this place. The people were friendly and all was good.So why 1 star... .Well, I took my bike there after I had a deer hitting me. All looked good and they took care of the repair... at least what I thought.Close to $7k in repairs paid by my insurance and I came to pick up my bike.Then things went south... .First I noticed a broken part that was not taken care off. Still all good... I was told they take care of it.So, I ride the bike back home and it pulls like crazy to the right. So I look at it... I was loosing it. One visible part inside the fairing was missing. The parts did not line up and were improper installed. I look closer and see that a repaired radiator does not line up either, I look further and find that nothing is properly aligned.So, I called my insurance and was told to get the bike to a shop of my choice to get it looked at.Here we go... bike is now a total loss.Fork damage and other significant damages have been ignored. The bike did not ride right.Parts were not put together correct.Parts were just not put back at all.I have pictures and the insurance report to proof it - I have pictures to proof it.This is why I will NEVER put a foot into this store. I do not trust the the quality, repair, or service at all after that experience.Sorry guys, I liked the shop, people were great; but, this is how you scared me away.

Yesterday I went to the showroom to pick up some oil. Was told by the guy at the counter my bike held 1.2 quarts so I had to buy two quarts of oil. When I got home and looked in my manual I saw that the bike only holds point eight quarts of oil and I only needed to buy one quart. Returned the next day to pick up a filter and some fuel line and some mix for my 2-stroke.with this stuff on the counter I asked if I could pick up some fuel line for which they replied they have fuel on but would not sell me any. I should go to advance Auto they said.I went to a motorcycle store to purchase motorcycle parts. Spent $100 in the last 2 days in parts and fluids. Glad you carry fuel line but wont sell it to anybody. I will not return

DO NOT GO HERE. First off, I would like to preface this by stating that I never leave reviews, but I was so DISGUSTED by this place, that I feel I have to here.About 6 months ago, I brought my motorcycle in to Cycle World to get inspected. Before they even looked at it, the girl behind the register said Ill probably need a new chain. I start thinking to myself, uhhh, you havent even looked at my bike yet, how could you possibly know that?? I dont say anything, I just let it go. So that was red flag #1.Then, I get my motorcycle inspected. Now keep in mind my motorcycle only had around 800 miles on it, it was a relatively new bike. Before I get it inspected I checked it over myself and it was clean. After the guy inspects it, there is suddenly oil ALL OVER my front forks. Im assuming he slapped the oil on there himself, because like I said, it was clean when I dropped it off. He then tries to tell me my new tires also have signs of dry rot, which they didnt.They try to charge me $400 to replace my leaky fork seals. I decline and say I will do it myself. I THEN DO NOTHING TO MY MOTORCYCLE, EXCEPT FOR WIPE OFF THE OIL THAT HE PUT ON THERE. I take it somewhere else to get a second opinion, and they tell me there is nothing wrong with my motorcycle. (Again it was relatively new). It passed inspection with flying colors, and they warned me of other shops taking advantage of people.Again, I never leave reviews, but I felt like I had to here. Do NOT go to Cycle World to get your motorcycle inspected, they will lie and take advantage of you.

I am a new inexperienced rider that was looking for a motorcycle in the Hampton roads area. I visited Cycle World to get a better look at the bike I have been drooling over for a few years now. After arriving I was greeted and asked what I was looking for no biggie. After that salesmen became very pushy trying to sell me a bike to the point of unprofessional almost. I continued to listen and see what he had to say. He wanted to sell me the bike at MSRP price and told me that these bikes were so hot and there was no way he could come down in the price. After I left I found Valley Cycle Center in Winchester, VA. They had the same bike $2,000 dollars cheaper without even haggling. They also told me about a 750 dollar rebate from (in my case) Yamaha that the previous salesmen forgot to mention. Now I am from a small town so I buy local if at all possible. So I called the salesmen back and told him what I had found and asked if he would be willing to cut the price at all. He continued to tell me that I should buy that bike right now but also warned it was probably a fake and a trick. I drove up to Winchester, VA bought my motorcycle for the agreed price that was $2,000 cheaper and received some of the best customer service I have ever had in the auto industry. You can the make the decision for yourself...

Bought a helmet from here, it fell apart in 3 days. waited a week for a response after being told the manager wasnt in. I asked for a new one they gave me the same helmet and still the new one is already falling apart, asked for a bigger size they said the fitment is correct but they would get back to me. Still havent heard anything yet, kinda sad really like the layout, and was possibly browsing for a new bike, I WILL NOT BE BACK

Brought my 10-year old ATV in for clutch issues. Luckily they were able to adjust the clutch and recommended a valve job. Runs better now than when I bought it. It shifts and goes into reverse better than ever. I would totally recommend Cycle World!

The service was spectacular. from the moment I walked through the door the staff was ready to answer all of my questions, and helped me to get a great deal on my new 2013 R6 and gear. My sales person was Ron and he was more than helpful on walking me through the process of getting the bike and helped me to find a better deal on my insurance as well.

Got my bike inspected here and a new tire put on. No issues but I will say I do think the labor cost is a bit high here. For example, I think a motorcycle oil change is 89.99. Feels high. But other than that seemed like fine quality work.

CYCLE WORLD IS AWESOME. THEY MADE THE PURCHASING OUR DREAM BIKE AS EASY AS 123. EVERYONE WAS VERY HELPFUL WITH QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS . WE WILL DEFINITELY BE TELLING ALL OF OUR FRIENDS TO GO TO CYCLE WORLD. THEY HAVE A HUGE INVENTORY OF MERCHANDISE AND CAN GET TO WHATEVER YOU NEED THEY ALSO HAVE A GREAT SERVICE CENTER. Not sure what everyone is complaining about. My friend bought a scooter from here not too long ago. This is his second purchase from Cycle World and he loves this place. Ron Hibbitts was his sales man and he was a really nice guy. He was patient and took the time to make sure my friend was 100% satisfied.

My trip to cycle world was amazing. The staff there is very friendly and very easy to work with. There selection of bikes both new and used is amazing as well. Ron in the sales department helped me work out everything so that I could get a new bike. He spent a great deal of time making sure that I was squared away and ready to ride. I would deffenitly suggest that anyone who needs a bike go to Cycle World because they will take good care of you and make sure you ride out of there on what you want.

Love the vibe here and really appreciate the help they give and very easy to work with. Def will be coming back here for more product. Thank you cycle world. Got my first bike here !!

I wanted to get an offer for a motorcycle here. These gentlemen were friendly but only interested in earning much money. They calculated accessories twice and extremely high labor costs. Even after inquiries, you confirm the price of the circa 2000 dollars over the competitors. My advice, buy somewhere else and get more for your money.

I have been here a few times Once to look into purchasing a new bike did all the necessary paper work and was told I would get a call back to let me know where I stand on the purchase ....never got a call back..........went to sunrise cycles did the paperwork and got a call back within the week and rode away with a new bike ......months later I went back to cycle world for a maintenance check and was asked if I wanted to upgrade AGAIN I did all the paper work and was told I would get a call back to see once again where we stand on the upgrade......never got a call back ....my credit is outstanding so thats not the problem ....communication is key....I only buy from SUNRISE CYCLES now .

Excellent customer service!!! I recently just purchased my first bike a 2013 Honda cbr 250r. Matt Lamb helped me find the perfect bike. Matt was very friendly and personable which made talking to him like he was an old friend. He was very knowledgeable about the different bikes which made my decision process easy. This review is for the two 2016 Honda 420 Ranchers that I purchased in February 2016 (better late than never!). Joey was helpful in answering all of my questions and got all of the paperwork ready fast because he knew I was in a hurry to put these things to work on our 87-acre farm. Ill be back for my next toy.

I must admit in the past I was not happy with cycle world...however I went back to give them another try and to my surprise I was impress with my salesman (who is no longer there). So much I purchased a Bike. In my current dealings with the service and parts department, they too have been very helpful and considerate to my needs. I am grateful for their service and support.

Sales guys cant beat prices will lie and say that the price cant be dropped due to no rebates, but meanwhile shopping around elsewhere found same bike 2500 less. Also bought a new jacket, but brought it back soon after because zipper broke after first use, they wouldnt give me another one and then parts manager lied to make me feel more comfortable with the situation saying it would only be a few days there and back then said he never said this?! Absolutely do not care for the customer.

Wish I could give them zero stars. I got tires changed there got three prices, finally I drop the bike off with a price... Go to pick it up and its $88 more than I was told, was not given a reasonable reason as to why the price is higherWill never return and would definitely not tell others to go

Purchased my Kawasaki Concours 14 from this dealer and cant say enough good things about them. Special thanks go out to Joey in sales for making the purchase experience smooth and pain free. Walked in today with cash in hand to purchase a brand new quad. Salesman flat out told me he wouldnt sell it to me????? Guess I will take my cash down the road to buy. These guys need to realize that customers are what makes them money. Their poor customer service and bad attitude costs them a lot of business (Just take a min to read the reviews on here). They are also not the only game in town. A 20-30 min drive in any direction will yield about 5-6 other dealers with much better customer service. Remember, You are not doing me a favor by selling to me. I am doing you a favor by choosing to come in your dealership. I can assure you that will be the last time I walk through those doors.
