Mr. Yordan is a special, talented, and caring person. He is incredibly knowledgeable, thoughtful with his process, and just a special soul. He was amazing with our son with autism and finding just the right instrument for him. I wouldnt trust anyone else with their expertise! He is phenomenal and one of those people that you are lucky to meet in your lifetime.

Yordan did the bridge, sound post, closed some open seams planed the fingerboard and touched up the varnish on my old Czech cello. When I arrived he had my cello with some of the ones he sells in the show room area of his shop and I had to look twice to even realize it was mine. Phenomenal work. He is highly skilled and has vast experience. Im very glad I found him.

So happy that Yordan is here in the area! I brought my violin in to get an open seam repaired and a new bridge. I was worried about it getting done in time because I had a concert the same week, but I had no need to worry! Everything was done and sounding wonderful the next day. Ill be returning for all future adjustments and repairs!

I took a 1/4 size, 1950s Kay plywood bass in to the shop with several significant issues. While I ultimately did the repairs myself due to the value of the bass and the extent of the damage, Yordan took a lot of time to review and discuss the bass, and ended up giving me an EXTREMELY fair quote on the damage. Only after doing the repairs myself did I realize just how fair it was. Having seen some of his work on other instruments, I will not hesitate to use and recommend him in the future.

This place is underrated and Im not really sure why the other reviewer gave such a poor rating after one adverse experience. The location is a little strange, but its worth it to get there. The owner has fair prices and does marvelous work. I was very pleased with everything the luthier did for me, and he was very personably and professional. I continue to go back because he has fair prices and does high quality work. Its hard to find a good luthier in this area thats consistently available to non-professional musicians, so Im very pleased to have given this place a chance.

Yordan Popov is a professional luthier and the best instrument restorer and repairman in town.All my professional music colleagues are excited about his work (improving set up for sound, adjusting sound post, ..) and his repairs (glueing instrument openings, bow rehair...). I normally set an appointment so we can take care of instruments and bows on the spot. A rehair can be a few hours turn around time or next day depending on your needs. Thank you, Yordan Popov!!

I drove to Orpheus Violins during their posted business hours, but they were closed. Complete waste if my time. It wasnt a holiday, and there was nothing posted on the door about altered hours or a special closing. This was right smack in the middle of the hours posted online and on the door.
