Cutest little board shop in Pungo with a little bit of everything!

Always a great visit dropping by and talking with the fellows at PBH. Theyve done a great job keeping a surf shack small down home on the beach type of shop, beats the brakes off your larger shops that are too cool for school or at least the employees of other shops seem to feel they are, you want a real shop, with real people to greet you, youve found it! Weve been fans of Pungo Board House since they opened up 13 years ago. When we drive through Pungo, especially on your way to Sandbridge, its a must stop when needing to grab surf stuff. The Pungo Board House brand represents local more than any other surf and skate shop in Virginia Beach.We trust this family owned business for the best products. We bought our son his first Penny board ten years ago when he was asking for a lime green skateboard with orange wheels and it is still in awesome shape. We also just recently bought our daughter her first soft top surfboard. Their clothing is great quality and they continue to fill their inventory with rad styles and colors from shirts and sweatshirts to beanies and flannels.

Most personable service you will ever get from a surfshop. Down to earth and not stuck up like some other local shops can be. Gives back to the community and supports young local surf talent! They had a surf competetion that they allowed my 3 year old son to enter and they took us in and treated us like family and cheered and supported my son and helped him to continue his confidence as he charges through his beginning of his surf career. He not only got a wood carved trophy but one of the shops surfers Blayr Barton gave JB2 the surfboard Blayr one in the competetion and even autographed it for my son. It was the highlight of the year for my son and our family. Its my sons very first board and he will cherish it forever! Sandbridge is a beautiful community of very awesome people and PBH represents everything they stand for! Check them out :-)

Awesome first time experience! Pungo Board House is a diamond in the rough! The customer service and quality care you receive here is like no other. The owner was very friendly and helped my husband and I find exactly what we needed. Not to mention, the selection is huge from customized boards to clothes, shoes, and accessories.. we love this place and will definitely be returning! We also love the fact that we are shopping local!

My daughter just completed surf camp with Lucas and his crew from PBH and it was an absolute dream for her! Shes so sad its over and is already talking about attending next year. I was blown away by what she was accomplishing on day one and was even more impressed by day three. It was worth every single cent! The attention they receive from a true professional surfer and the quality time they get in the water makes me confident in saying its the ONLY surf camp Id recommend! A++; 5 stars; two thumbs up; HIGHLY recommend!

These guys ROCK!! They had my kids out surfing within 5 minutes of starting with them. They caught about 50 waves the first day. Second day they are catching waves on their own! Kids love it and can’t wait for the third day! Maximum hands on and use of time. Another Surf camp right beside them had the kid just sitting on their boards in the water and out playing soccer in the sand. Pungo Board House had them catching every wave as fast as they could paddle back out and teaching them how to do it all on their own. Highly recommend! Worth every penny and second!!!

Dylan goes beyond to serve his customers...excellent family run business. Surf...skate...clothing...they will custom build surfboards for their customers. If you are looking for something not in their shop, they will take the time to research and order needed item. Easy parking near a corner.

My mom and dad have known Dylan for a very long time and I got a pro surfers board for just 150$ and it was supposed to be much more

Ive been coming to Sandbridge beach for over 40 years and always drive through Pungo to get there, its a tradition. One day about 5-6 years ago I ran across PBH and had to stop by and pretend I was a surfer, but only wanted to buy swag to look cool. Theyve grown a ton since my first visit and can only say, you need to check them out. Lucas was awesome taking three of our kids out for their first surf lesson, he was just terrific. His side kick River was a treat, River, I take it you do a little surfing?, No, I do a lot of surfing, mister. Classic! I love this place and is a must visit every trip.
