What a great company to do business with. The Sunsetter products are great, but what impresses us the most is the customer service provided by Mr. Jenkins and his team. We bought an awning for our back deck and had such a good experience with that, we bought the Oasis for our pool deck. We’ve needed to tweak things a couple of times, and there was no hesitation on Pleasant Shade Awning’s part to come back over. Quality products and exceptional service!
I enjoyed my awning this summer. Pleasant Shade Awning team came out and measured and ordered my Sunsetter Awning. The sales rep was informed and helped me choose what I needed. When the awning arrived the boss himself came out to remeasure and supervise the installation. He did talk me into buying the remote, which I thought had be included. But I’m glad I got it.

I did not contract with Pleasant Shade, I found out when my remote failed and I purchased a new one from SunSetter Company.Edward Jenkins said he would come out to reprogram the remote. He told us to use the hand crank till he got here, he got here Jul 7. A month late.The awning was the receiver of a flash thunder shower which pooled large amounts of water. Fearing the mechanical arms would be bent from the weight of the water we jumped into action two men pushing up to expel water and one man cranking the awning back on its roller. Not knowing the crank worked on top of the roller as well as under the roller. The awning was going under and caught on a optional brace which cut the awning in half. When we extended the awning at a later time we saw that it was split down the middle.The delay of service caused this disaster. Simple early response would have made everyone happy.The awning is top notch, I have no complaints on equipment.
Without going into too many details, we jumped the gun a little and ordered our Sunsetter awning before approval came back from our HOA. Its a Sunsetter -- how could they say no? But they did. I called Ed Jenkins, the owner of Pleasant Shade Awnings, to put a temporary stop on the order, but it had already shipped. Ed was very supportive, even said he would be able to resell the awning for us if we couldnt get HOA approval. It took a couple of weeks to get the HOA board to come to its senses. In the meantime, Ed stored the awning at his shop. We finally got approval and we are very happy with the awning. We referred 2 of our neighbors who bought awnings from Pleasant Shade Awnings. True to the companys word, we got our referral check a week later. I highly recommend Pleasant Shade Awnings. Thanks Ed and crew!

I would give them no stars if possible. The person I spoke with was extremely rude and unhelpful. I purchased and awning online through sunsetter and I asked if they had any discounts and they asked if I was a costco member to which I said yes. They said that was great because I would get a great discount. I was very happy with everything up until the time of install when I called my local dealer to inquire about having it installed. He informed me that they do not install ones purchased through Costco or anywhere but through them even if I paid for the install. This just shows how greedy and crooked they are. Why would you not install or service a product if I pay you for the service? I would never buy anything from these people. Oh and did I mention that he also hung up on me on the phone when I questioned why he wouldnt install it if I paid for it? He was so rude I would never support his business. If you want an awning please go anywhere else.
Very happy with our Sunsetter Awning! Ed and his team were great! There was a little delay with shipping because of COVID shutting down manufacturing, but it was worth the wait. Highly recommend.
