I called to get information about renting a violin for my daughter. I spoke with Brain. Brain not only gave me information about renting a violin but also about buying a brand new violin. I decided to buy however they were about to close. Brain then offered to stay a few minutes pass closing for me to come buy it. When I got there he still took his time and explained everything and helped me purchase accessories that I needed. My experience at music and arts was amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure I had everything i needed.
Brian is a very charismatic and enthusiastic guy and appears to love helping people. The other employees as well helped me very well. 10/10 recommend going here a good variety of everything.
Waisted over $300 due to employees not knowing the proper terms for rentals. Store policies change frequently. Had better experiences at other music stores. There are others in driving distance from this one. Im sorry but after losing so much money from an employee mistake I wont be back.
I really loved my experience here. I was greeted upon entering the store. Given enough space to browse but also was able to be helped when needed. Brian was super helpful and friendly when answering my questions about buying a new turntable. He helped me look at my options through their website, checked store inventory, and ultimately placed an order to have my purchase get delivered to the store. Flawless customer service by Brian!

Wow! Absolutely loved my experience at Music & Arts. Really the BEST customer service in all of Waldorf! The salesperson Brian will give you all options, so you can make your best decisions on what to buy. Not overbearing. Just expert knowledge not only on instruments but recommending any accessories to give you the best chance for success playing your instrument. Observing somebody at work, you get a chance to witness character. While I was at the store, I also saw him help someone looking for guitar strings as he simultaneously explained in detail how music lessons work there. Then saw him quietly tune up a customers violin while taking an incoming call. Quite frankly, I was really impressed by Brians efforts helping me find drum equipment. He patiently listened and took the time to explain things. I really wish all retail stores had total experts like this guy. He does much more than sell people things. Brian helps people. Great looking store, amazing customer service and atmosphere at this local music store.
I absolutely love this store, the vibe, and the people. Ive been shopping here since they opened awhile back and Ive only dealt with one salesperson who remembers my name and its AMAZING. The family environment is superb.Austin is the absolute best person to talk to and get recommendations from. I was there last Sunday and although no one else was in the store, he was super passionate about guitar and music, gave me pointers on how to play a little better, and honestly had me over the moon when he tried my guitar out. At the end of playing it, he told me I needed a neck adjustment and fret file. At first I was like What? but then he broke it down super easy for me to understand.I used to shop at Island and even drove to Guitar Center in Rockville, but after the customer service Ive gotten and the personability, I dont know why Id go anywhere else.
I’ve been meaning to make a review post for some time but I just wanted to thank the entire staff at the Waldorf location for being so helpful and inviting. Early on in the pandemic, I did not feel comfortable taking my family out but my daughter needed a viola for her music lessons. I went to the store thinking I could get the instrument same day. When I arrived, one of the staff members kindly informed me that I would need to measure for the right size instrument. He instructed me on how to measure and how to submit a request for an instrument online so that I would not have to return to order. I wish I had gotten his name but I regrettably did not. Once the instrument arrived, I was able to do a curbside pickup which was very helpful. Weeks later, my daughter was having trouble making music with the viola so I returned to the store and Brian took the time to rosin the bow and troubleshoot the instrument. He also offered one on one instruction lessons which I really appreciated although we did not take him up on that offer since my daughter was already receiving one on one instruction. Unfortunately, because the lessons were being taught virtually she did not have the advantage of letting her instructor troubleshoot the instrument for her.

Stopped in here right before closing last night, (which I hate to do) and Brian was not only knowledgeable and extremely helpful, but he didnt make me feel rushed or like a burden for coming in so late. Went to get our violin tuned due to one of the strings not sitting right. Josiah was very patient and made sure that the violin sounded great before we left. Was very impressed with the customer service.

I called to setup lessons for son. After 10 minute, all I had do was pick a day and time that he provided. Kalib was helpful and patient, Ouston also helped get what I need to have the lessons. Not first time here, but there is reason why I come back.

I came to music and arts of waldorf in search of someone to teach me how to play bottle blues on my electric guitar. Usually im very timid however they completely broke me out of my shyness and made me feel at home right away! I was greeted by Brian who has well rounded knowledge of the fees that each teacher charges, their musick background and who would be a best fit for me according to my needs and prior experience. I was so happy with the customer service I decided to not only take guitar lessons but eventually go into singing lessons as well. I cannot wait to get started and also have my 4 year old come in and play drums with me. I highly recommend this shop you will not be disappointed. They are so passionate, informative, and welcoming!
Brian not only has GREAT customer service he also took time to explain the services the store provides but in an economical way. Not paying close attention ( my fault) the rental for an instrument cost me the exact same if I had just bought one out right. The store should really provide follow up service to customers to educate instead of attempting to milk the customer dry. Thank you Brian very much for taking the time. The cost was well work it in the end.
Ive had a great experience at this location. Brian is very helpful and knowledgeable. Katie and Caleb are very out going and willing to help answer any questions. Kay my music instructor is patient and a great teacher. I have been a customer of this location since late Nov 2018 and would highly recommend it to anyone. No matter how busy they are they always make time for each customer.
Austin gave my husband and I great service with the purchase of our new drum set! Weve been going to Music & Arts since the 90s and have always received good service, but Austins service was just incomparable.

Wow, Austin is amazing! I watched Austin manage multiple customers at one time, juggling multiple customer needs with patience, ease, professionalism, respectfully...just amazing.M&A was packed, and Austin was all over the placed providing the best customer service.The waldorf M&A customer service staff are always professionally great.Some customers are unreasonably impatient (i.e., weird a-holes), some of the teachers are not the best here, but customer service is always great.
Austin and his crew are great. No matter how busy they are you get great customer service. Great bunch of folks here! Very thankful for them.
